“It’s still yours, Compton. It’s yours,” she moaned, clawing at my hand that was still wrapped around her neck.

“You damn right this shit gone always be mine. No matter what happens, it’s mine, Cali. You hear me?” I tugged on her hair harder and pounded her pussy deeper. If I was digging her out any deeper, I was gone crawl inside of her. I turned her head towards me and slipped my tongue into her mouth. I kissed her passionately. Everything in this moment felt right. She felt right. The situation felt right. We felt right.

“Baby…baaaby. Oh, fuck. Mhhhhm! You’re making my pussy feel so good,” she bellowed into my mouth, not breaking our kiss. I felt her knees getting weak, and I could feel her shaking.

“Come here.” I picked her up and walked her to the bed. After laying her down, I kicked my jeans all the way off. I climbed into the bed and pulled her on top of me. Without my help, she reached behind her and slid me back into her even tighter hole. Rolling her hips in a circle, she took all of me as deep as she could. “Shhhhhit. Mmmm, Lil’ momma. You working that dick ain’t you?”

“Yes, baby. I love it,” she told me, pulling on her nipples. I palmed her pregnant belly as I moved my hand up to her neck. “Mmmm. I like it when you choke me.” she smiled.

Damn, I really turned her out.

“Oh, you like that shit huh? I done turned that ass out. Rock faster on this dick,” I demanded, slapping her hard on the ass a few times. Her mouth flew open, but no words came out.

“Unnngh,” she moaned, grabbing my wrist as she sat up straight. She started grinding faster on me, and I could feel myself about to cum. Yanking her down by her neck, I kissed her lips. With a hand full of her ass, I stroked her from the bottom fast and deep.

“AHHHHHHHHHH! Ahhhh, Compton! Baaaby! Baby yuh a guh mek mi cuuum,” she cried out into my mouth in her native tongue. I loved that shit.

“Yea, talk that island shit while you cumming on this dick. Fucck! Take this dick baby. Take it for daddy.” She held onto my wrist while I held onto her neck. We stared deep into each other’s eyes. It was so intense that I could read what she was saying without her uttering a word. I’m sure she could read me too.

“Mi cumming baby. Unnnnnggggh!” she screamed out, holding onto me for dear life. My body shook along with her as we came together. Our breathing were both labored as we laid tangled in each other’s arms. Usually, I wasn’t with this cuddling shit, but I didn’t want to let her go. For what seemed like forever, we just laid there. Soon, Cali was fast asleep.

“Lil’ Momma?” I called out to her, but she didn’t budge. I then heard light snores, and I knew then she was out for the count. Carefully lifting her off of me, I laid her down on her side. She had been sleeping on her side since she got pregnant. I rubbed her tummy and then bent down to kiss my baby girl.

Getting out of bed, I got dressed. I glanced down at her because I didn’t want to leave her but I had too. At the end of the day, she was right. I was with Monique now, and I had yet to call it off. But after today, I don’t know how long that would be. If I wanted her like I claimed, Monique had to go.

  CHAPTER 15

  CALI: OH, YOU GOT SECRETS?

Waking up this morning was hard when I didn’t see Compton next to me. The worst part was neither was Tre’. I had been calling and texting him all morning. I was fucking up by having sex with Compton again, but his dick be compelling me. I hated the hold he had on me. He wanted me but he didn’t want to let Monique go, and I was dumb by falling weak to his sex. Today I made it up in my mind that last night was the very last time I would allow him to touch me. But then again, I said that last time.

“Okay, Trisha boo. See you next week. Let me know if you turning up this weekend for your birthday,” I shouted, walking backward to my car.

“Girl you already know I’m gone turn up. Ayyyye,” she replied back, twerking her fat booty. Trisha was just too much for me. I waved her off, laughing and walked to my car.

Once I was in, I pulled out my cell phone to call Amber. I had been keeping in touch with her ever since we met. She came over all the time and spent the night with me. It was crazy how we bonded so quickly. She instantly became my real life little sister.

“Hey, Amber. Are you ready?” I asked when she answered.

“Yes, I’m ready. My aunt wouldn’t let me out the house, so I had to sneak out. I hope that’s okay,” she responded softly.

“Yes, that’s cool and all, but soon I’m going to have to meet this woman. Regardless if she cares or not, she needs to know who you’re spending your time with. My daddy would kill me if he didn’t know where I was if I was to go somewhere without him. Which was never.” I chuckled.

“Yea, I guess you’re right. Well, just not today. She’s in a bad mood,” she let me know.

  “Why?”

“Well my mother had been calling to check in on me, and she won’t let me talk to her. She said she’s trying to come back for me, but my aunt won’t allow it,” she vented.

“And why the hell not? You deserve to be with your momma,” I shot back with an attitude. I wish my mother would beg to have me back. In my eyes, Amber was the lucky one.

“Well, I told you, my momma, be sending her money. If she gets me, then she won’t get the money anymore. Then she won’t have money for her drugs and then it’s all downhill from there.”

I stayed silent for a minute because I didn’t know what to say. That was some sheisty shit. Like what kind of aunt keeps their niece from being with their mother. And all over some money. Family members could be so cruel. Compton’s family is living proof of that.

“Okay, well listen, I’m on my way to get you. We will talk more about that when we get to my mother in law’s house. You’re comfortable with that right?” I asked just to make sure since she was very shy.

“Anything other than here is perfect.” she chuckled. I told her I would be there in fifteen minutes and then we hung up. I kept rubbing my tummy while I was driving. My baby loved it when I talked to her. When I arrived at Amber’s apartment, she hurried up and ran out and hopped in the front seat. She was looking pretty, but I could tell she hadn’t bathed. We made a detour to my house, and she freshened up. Once she was done, we headed straight to Mrs. Bank’s house.

“Now look, my momma in law can be a little forward. Neither she or my father in law have a filter. So don’t take anything they say to heart. Okay?” I said once we pulled into the garage.

“They can say whatever they want with a house like this. It’s beautiful,” she complimented, stepping out of the car.

“Girl wait till you see the inside.” She held my hand as we walked to the door. She was always nervous so whenever we were together. She would hold my hand. I didn’t mind. I actually liked it. “Momma Banks,” I yelled as I stepped into the house. I heard arguing coming from the kitchen. “See. It done already started,” I mumbled, entering the kitchen. Mrs. Banks was cooking while Mr. Banks was standing over her.

“All I asked was if the woman was pregnant or not. You really gone be mad at me for that?” Mr. Banks quizzed.

“Well, I wouldn’t have been mad if you were looking at her stomach and not her ass. And you was all smiling in the hoe’s face like you ain’t have a whole wife standing next to you. I should have slapped your black ass,” Mrs. Banks spat, rolling her eyes at him. I couldn’t help but laugh. Amber was right next to me snickering.

“I can’t believe old people still argue about this type of stuff. I thought it would be more issues like why he left the seat down. Or why you always coming to bed with that scarf on your head,” I joked, giggling.

“First off, we ain’t arguing. It’s called having a mature disagreement. Something you youngin’s don’t know nothing about. We gone say how we feel, agree to disagree and have make-up sex. You need to get hip to this grown shit.” Mr. Banks was something else.

“Cali who is this young girl you got hiding behind you like some scared puppy. Girl, I don’t know what she t
old you about us but we ain’t gone bite,” she stated, fully turning around. “Yea, don’t be shy. We cool peoples,” Mr. Banks added.

“Umm, this here is, Amber Joy. She’s my little sister from that program thing I did at, Angel’s school. Amber these are my in Laws,” I introduced. When she came out from behind me still holding my hand, the look on Mrs. Bank’s face was priceless. It was almost as if she was stuck for a minute. It was either she had seen a ghost or if she were just extra shocked. Either way, it was an uncomfortable stare.

“How do you know her-I mean, umm how-how did you both meet again?” she stuttered, still staring at like she was Amber amazed. I mean I know she was a pretty girl but damn. She didn’t have to stare so hard.

“We met at my school. Why? Should I not be here or-,”

“No, no, no it’s fine. I’m just-you just look so familiar to me. Ummm, do you live out here? With who?” she badgered her with questions.

“No ma’am I live in, Compton but I go to school out here. I got accepted into my private school on a scholarship. I stay with my aunt, Tessa,” she politely answered.

Mrs. Banks eyes turned damn near black when she heard the name. “Baby, you good?” Mr. Banks asked. “You got that look in ya’ eye,” he added.

For a minute she had blacked out and didn’t say a word. It was like she had left the kitchen, but her body was still here. “Yes, ahem,” she cleared her throat. “Yes, I’m okay. Amber do you want to join us for dinner. You’re welcome to stay,” she offered up. I don’t know why she was being so nice to Amber. Mrs. Banks was barely nice to her own family let alone strangers.

“Yes, ma’am. That would be nice.” Amber smiled.

“Good. Umm, Banks let me talk to for a minute. You girls gone find y’all something to do until I get back. And Cali don’t think about touching my food trying to put them spicy ass Jamaican seasonings in there. Last time Big Momma nearly died, choking so damn hard,” she threw over her shoulder. I couldn’t help but laugh because that scene popped up in my head. Big Momma was on her way to meet Jesus that day.

“I thought you said she was mean? She seems pretty nice to me.” Amber shrugged her shoulders.

“Well take this as a compliment then. I guess she really likes you.” I smiled at her, and she blushed. She was so used to people not liking her at school that it made her happy when someone did enjoy her presence. “Come on, let me show you the baby’s nursery that my in-laws put together for me. It’s dope girl,” I boasted, grabbing her hand. I took her upstairs and into the baby’s room.

On my way there, I could hear whispering coming from the bathroom. “Go ahead and take a look, Amber. I’m gone go to the bathroom really quick,” I lied. I was definitely about to eavesdrop. Putting my ear to the door, I listened closely.

“Have you lost ya’ damn mind? You can’t let her know about, Amber. Hell, I’m still trying to figure out how ya’ ass know about her. Did, Bo tell you about her?” Mr. Banks quizzed.

“No, he didn’t tell me because he doesn’t know. He never knew, and this wasn’t supposed to get out. But she’s here, so we have to say something. I’m calling, Lee,” Mrs. Banks responded.

“Woman give me that damn phone. You not even supposed to have her number. You knew what the deal was. No contact with her. Now I know you want to make shit right, but this news does not need to get out. Especially now since niggas coming after, Cali. What you gone do then if they find this shit out?” he quizzed again. The room fell silent, and no one said anything for about five minutes.

“Fine, Banks but if this comes to bite me in my ass, I’m taking you down with me. She has a right to know, and you know it.”

“Well she ain’t gone find out from us.” the door knob began to giggle and hurried up and ran into my daughter’s nursery. I wondered what it was they were talking about. How was Amber any concern to them? Is it something that my father had been keeping from me? My mind was flooded with questions that I wanted answers to.

“Child that damn husband of mine works my nerves,” Mrs. Banks complained, walking into the room. “Speaking of husband, have you spoken to yours? He around here parading that Nicki Minaj wanna be heffa around like she Queen Sheba or somebody. With that fake ass. I’m surprised it hasn’t deflated yet,” she hissed, taking a seat in the rocker.

“The last person I want to talk or think about is your no good ass son. Screw him and her.” I screwed up my face at the mere thought of him. She didn’t know about what happened last night, and I wanted to keep it that way.

“Well good because I rather talk about, Amber. Well, get to know you that is? How’s school and home?” she inquired. She was fishing for some type of information. Knowing, Amber, she was gone give it to her.

“School is good if were talking about my grades. I’m an all A student. They wanted me to skip a grade and go straight to high school, but my aunt wouldn’t allow me to. She said that I was taking the easy way out,” she explained.

“How the fuck is that taking the easy way out? You’ve proven to be smarter than the grade you’re in. Dumb bitch,” she mumbled, under her breath.

  “What was that?” Amber quizzed.

“Girl nothing. I just remember I got food to cook. You can grab an apron and help,” she threw over her shoulder.

“It’s about time you let me cook again-,”

“Girl bye wasn’t nobody talking to your heavy handed ass. I was talking to, Amber,” she interrupted me. Amber burst out laughing as she followed behind her. Kissing my lips, I rolled my eyes to Mrs. Banks back. She knew damn well I could cook.

Just when I was leaving the out the room, my phone vibrated. When I looked at the screen, I was happy to see it was Tre’ finally texting me back.

  BAE: We need to talk

  CHAPTER 16

COMPTON: WE NOT US NO MORE

Parking my whip in the back of my club, I waited for Monique to come out. I haven’t been at my establishment because I was in the streets trying to get word on Black and Sean. I got word from my manager I hired, that Mo’ had been dancing all night. I specifically told her ass that I didn’t want her stripping. She thought that she was gone be out here acting like the old Mo, ’ but that shit wasn’t gone work. Not with me.

My phone starting ringing and it was my club manager. “What’s up Tee?”

“Okay, it’s done. I fired her but she wasn’t happy about it. She’s leaving now,” she let me know.

“’Preciate at it,” I said before killing the line. I watched as Monique walked out with her girls. She was cursing and acting all kinds of crazy. She probably had been drinking. Once I saw that she wasn’t driving, I drove off. I was gone catch her ass in a lie later.

It’s not that I wanted to control her or have her cooped up in the house. I just wanted better for Monique. She had a bright future at one point. She was in school for nursing and trying to get her degree. She never drank, and she never was the type to exploit herself for niggas other than me. She was a good girl and shit changed. I still remember the day I proposed to her like it was yesterday.

Pacing the floor back and forth, I clutched the red box in my hands. Today was the day that I made it official. I was going to ask Mo’ to marry me. My niggas thought I was crazy and I agreed with them. I was crazy as hell. Crazy in love with her. I knew that deep down she was the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. She was a nigga’s rock for real.

“You sure you don’t want to dip out the back? I got the Ferrari still running ready to go,” Black’s dumb ass said. We were in the bathroom of our high school. Today was our graduation day. I was only eighteen years old about to sign my life away, but I was ready. I knew that I loved her.

“Man-Black shut ya’ ass up. Can’t you see the nigga already sweating? He don’t need you giving him any more decisions to make. Let his ass marry that damn girl so we can get this day over with. It’s hot as fuck in this damn gown. Shit,” Snoop cursed, fanning himself.

  “I’m just saying. W
e young and our dick don’t need to be tied down to one bitch,” Black retorted.

“You a dumb nigga man-. Just support me, bro. I love her, and I know she’s the one. So you gone help me with this or nah?”

“You know I got you, C. We brothers,” he responded, dapping me up.

  “Brothers for life,” I replied.

“For life and forever,” Snoop chimed in. That was just some shit we said to remind us of our brotherhood. Nothing could break us up.

We sparked up a blunt and took flight to cool our minds. This was a big day for us. For me more ways in one. Once we were done smoking, we rushed to get in line. We damn near fell asleep during the boring ass speeches. “Oh shit, C wake up. Mo’ ‘bout to say her speech,” Black said, nudging me in my arm.

I rose up and prepared myself for what was about to happen. This shit was on some cute shit and I knew she was gone love it. My family was behind me cheesing because they knew what was about to go down. Once she took her place at the podium, the light went low in the building. I hurried up and rushed to the end of the stage before the slideshow started.

“What is this?” she asked into the mic with a confused look on her face. The video was of all of our special moments we had shared so far. From the first day we met until just yesterday. To all the trips we took and the countless of pictures and videos, we had together. It’s was all of our memories, and every last one of them meant a lot to me.

Once the video was over, the lights came on. The crowd gasped when they saw me on one knee beside Mo’. When she finally looked down, her hand flew over her mouth, and the tears started to fall.

“You know I ain’t the type to express my feelings, but I’m gone try,” I started, grabbing her hand in mine. “Since the day I met you in that Laker’s jersey, I knew you were gone be my girl. We may have been young, but a nigga just knew. You have been by my side since that day, and I appreciate you staying with me. There’s not a bitch-I mean girl in the world that I rather have by my side. So, Monique Shaniqua Thomas, will you be my girl for forever?” I finally asked, anticipating her answer.
