My parents had told us we could stay there, but of course, we would have to sleep in separate rooms.

  Yeah, no.

That wasn’t going to work for me.

“Maud, I don’t know how you are even thinking about eating right now.” Jonas groaned and fell back on the pillows. “I swear to god you ate half a pie after dinner.”

I unwrapped the slice of pie and tossed the plastic wrap in the garbage can. “It’s Thanksgiving. That’s what you’re supposed to do.”

  “Eat your weight in pie?”

I shrugged and lifted the pie to my mouth with my bare hands. “I mean, yeah. But there is something else I think should become a Thanksgiving tradition.” I twisted around, got up on my knees, and moved to straddle Jonas’s waist.

“What are you doing?” he laughed.

I swiped my finger through the crème on top and licked it off. “Ever brought food into the bedroom before?” I asked.

“If you drop that pie on my chest, M, you are gonna lick off every inch of it.”

I wiggled my eyebrows. “You’re reading my mind, Jonas.”

He grabbed my wrist and held me still. “You ready to open this can of worms, baby?”

I smiled wide. “Oh, I’m ready. If you’re gonna hang with me, honey, then you’re bad boy side is gonna have to come out play more often.”

He grabbed the pie from my hand in one swift move, dropped it back on the plate, flipped us over, and then pinned my arms above my head. “Then let’s play, M.”

“I think this rockstar might have met her match in the bad boy lawyer,” I laughed.

Jonas leaned down and pressed a kiss to my lips. “You better believe it, baby. Here, on the road, on the tour bus, or even in Hong Kong, you got me.”

“Always,” I whispered against his lips.

“And forever,” he replied. He pressed his lips to mine, that was when I knew.

I was trapped with the bad boy forever, and I wouldn’t want it any other way.

  Chapter Thirteen

  Jonas

  Six months later…

  “Did you puke?”

Maud nodded her head. “Yeah.” She held her head in her hands. “Twice.”

  “M, you never puke.”

“Yeah, I know,” she whispered. She leaned back and rested her head on the wall. “It’s either the fact I’m two minutes away from going on stage, or I’m pregnant.”

My stomach dropped to my feet. “Pregnant?” I whispered.

She closed her eyes. “Yeah. The seven tests I took this morning all came up positive. But, maybe they were all duds.”

  Seven tests.

  All positive.

  “Holy fuck, Maud.”

She sat up, and her eyes connected with mine. “You look about as shocked as I did with each positive test.”

“You’re having my baby, M.” Each word hit me like a ton of bricks.

Tears clouded her eyes. “Yeah, I guess I am. Please don’t be mad, Jonas. I didn’t pla-.”

I raised my hand and cut her off. “I’m over the fucking moon, M, but I do not want to be the one to tell your mom or dad.”

A huge smile stretched across her lips, and she instantly burst into tears. “I don’t know why I’m crying,” she blubbered. “I’m happy and scared at the same time.”

I stalked across the dressing room and scooped her up in my arms. “You’re already crazy as hell, M, you crying right now isn’t fazing me at all.”

She buried her face in my neck and laughed. “We’re having a baby, Jonas,” she shouted.

If the rest of the band didn’t hear us before, they all knew now.

She tipped her head back, and I looked down at the most perfect woman in the world. Her brown hair was gone, replaced with her normal smurf blue hue and three new piercings in her left lobe. She was fucking amazing, and now she was not only mine, but she was also having my baby.

“So, this is our next chapter, huh?”

She nodded her head. “The bad boy lawyer and the rockstar have a baby, huh?”

I nodded my head and hooted with joy.

  Fuck yeah, we were.

No matter what happened, it was always going to be Maud and me.

  And now, baby.

  Chapter Fourteen

  Niko

“Bro, she’s pregnant, not a cripple.”

I threw my hands up in the air. “Look, I just don’t want anything to happen to baby Niko.”

“Did you just really name my baby after you?” Maud laughed. “I’ve only known I’m pregnant for a day, and already you assholes are thinking I’m naming the baby after you guys.” Maud handed her guitar to a stagehand and smiled. “You can all stop because it ain’t happening.”

Jonas walked backstage and gathered Maud in his arms. He fussed over her while the rest of us put away our shit and tried to figure out where we were going out to celebrate. It wasn’t every day you found out your cousin was having a baby.

“Yo!” Mick, our producer, called. “You got a chick with a kid who wants to meet you guys.”

Mick stepped to the side, and my stomach fell through the floor.

A night five years ago flashed through my head.

Black hair, long legs, and a killer smile.

My eyes traveled from the woman I had spent one amazing night with to the little girl standing next to her. The girl looked up at the woman and then at me.

  “Holy fuck,” Darius gasped.

  Holy fuck was right.

“Star,” I whispered. I remembered her name. Hell, I remembered everything about her. The way she tasted. The way my name fell from her lips.

“Uh, hey, Niko.” She cleared her throat and reached for the little girl’s hand. “Uh, I thought about what I was going to say the whole drive here, but now I can’t remember any of it.”

“I got it,” the little girl chirped. She dropped her mom’s hand and took two giant steps toward me and held out her hand. “I’m Arbor, and you’re my dad.”
