“I didn’t think I could ever find the happiness that I’ve found with you. Even when I saw you in that club, I knew you’d be amazing, but I never imagined you’d be the woman to knock me flat on my ass and make my head spin.” He then produces the most gorgeous ring I have ever seen and I swear my heart feels almost as if it stops. “I don’t ever want to lose this feeling I have when I’m near you. This sense of completion like I’ve found the other half of myself. You make everything better, Brynn, everything. And I want to spend the rest of my life with you by my side.”
Tears pool in my eyes and I look between him and the ring he still held.
“Will you marry me, Brynn?”
“Yes,” I whisper hoarsely and my hand shakes as he holds it and begins to slide the ring onto my finger.
When he rises up and presses his lips to mine I grip the collar of his shirt and refuse to let go. Leaning back onto the bed behind me I take him with me as his body covers mine.
“Sydney’s asleep for at least another hour,” I tell him. “No one will be here for the party until around two. I’m in the mood to celebrate.”
“I like the sound of that.” He moans when I lift my hips and shift my body against him.
“Me too,” I smile with my lips pressing to his. “Now I expect you to show me exactly what a life as your wife would entail.” He arches his brow. “Every dirty little fantasy rolling around in your mind, I want it all.”
“We only have an hour.”
“Well, then I guess we’ll have to pick it back up later tonight after the guests are all gone, but I need a crash course.” I nibble along his jaw. “Now, Mr. Reynolds, I can’t wait.”
