  “No one liked them,” Palmer said, then met his brothers’ gazes again. “How are we going to get her to mate with us?”

  “We don’t,” Edison answered. “We can’t force her to do anything she doesn’t want to, Palmer. It has to be her decision and her decision alone. That means no coercion or seducing her into accepting us.”

  “You don’t need to tell me that,” Palmer snapped. “You know none of us would deliberately do anything to hurt her or take her choices away from her.”
