True Desires

  “Noah…”

I wrapped my hands around his head. I knocked his beanie off and gripped his messy blond hair in my hands. I grabbed two tight handfuls as I got ever so closer to the edge.

Sheila was gone. I was simply Noah’s, here for anything and everything he wanted. I was a being desperate for the release he was slowly pushing me toward.

  “Noah, I’m gonna come… Mmm… Ahh…”

Something unintelligible came out of me as my body tightened. Noah pumped his fingers in and out of me, his mouth lowered down to one of my nipples as I came. My muscles contracted. I bucked hard against the couch as my orgasm racked my body. My mouth hung open but nothing came out. My thoughts were empty except for the pleasure.

  Fuck… Oh… Oh, God…

I couldn’t take it. I wanted it to stop. The feeling was too much for me to handle. I thought I would die from all of it. It wasn’t natural to feel this good.

The waves reverberating slowly started to die down. The tide moved away from me. I slowly regained my senses. Gentle ripples pulsed through me like tiny aftershocks. My knees buckled as I sank deeper into the couch.

Noah pulled his hand away from me. His lips pulled away from my nipple, leaving a tiny trail of his spit on me. I opened my eyes to see him sitting next to me and smiling. I leaned forward and kissed him.

  “Your turn,” I whispered.

He grinned at me and reached for a nearby light switch. The room became dark except for the moonlight creeping in through the windows.

I reached down and undid his belt. The giddy anticipation I felt wasn’t something I had since I was in college. I felt like a young woman all over again, unashamed about giving a man exactly what he wanted.

His belt undone, I worked on his zipper. Noah raised his ass from the couch just long enough for me to tug his jeans down to his ankles. His briefs followed and his length popped up, full and erect.

I didn’t look at him. Part of me was too embarrassed about what I was about to do. I wasn’t a university coed. I hadn’t been in a long time. But it wasn’t enough to stop me. Both of us wanted it.

I reached down for his length and stroked him a tiny bit. His groan filled my ears, guiding down the right track. I leaned down and greeted his tip with my tongue. A bit of his precum stuck to it. I swallowed it down and wrapped my lips around him.

A single gentle suck made his body shake beneath me. A muscular man buckled from the feeling of my mouth on him. It was amazing to think I had such power over him.

I lowered my head down to take more of him into me. I stuck my tongue out to lick his shaft as I did. I tried my best to take as much of him as I could. Perhaps in my college days, I could have. But there was no room in my mouth and my throat refused to open for him. I wouldn’t be able to satisfy his cock completely.

Noah didn’t care though. His gentle massage on the back of my head let me know I was doing it right, so I kept going. I bobbed my head up and down his length. One hand held the base of his cock straight up so I could satisfy it. My other hand rested against his firm abdomen. His abs contracted with every suck as he inhaled sharp breaths of pleasure.

More spit began to drip out of my mouth. His cock was covered in my saliva, making it easier for me to slide it in and out of me.

  “Sheila…”

He moaned my name to inspire me. I rocked my head back and forth, feeling like the promiscuous coed I was all those years ago. I felt a small sense of pride knowing I could satisfy him.

His length started to throb between my lips. His entire body began to tremble. His abs tightened hard against my palm. I worked my head down on him faster. I sucked and swallowed him, desperate to shove him over the edge.

  “Sheila… I’m there… I’m there…”

I moaned with his cock deep inside of my mouth. His grip tightened on the back of my head as he held me down. I shoved my face down as best as I could and held my breath as he started to come.

His cock throbbed. The vibrations rumbled against my teeth. Thick veins pulsed as his seed spilled into my mouth. I gulped down every string of his cum. The taste of it brought back vague memories of a time when I was younger. The satisfaction of pleasing a man and taking every drop of him was something I wasn’t sure I’d ever experience again. I felt like I was back in college.

His length began to soften between my lips after he finished. His grip loosened on my hair. The thick veins on his cock pulsed with less life. I squeezed my lips around him one last time and gulped the last few drops. When I raised my head off of him, I gasped a deep breath and sat up.

I turned to look at him and he stared back at me. In the darkness of his apartment, Noah looked back at me with blue eyes that shimmered. His lips curled into a half-smile, a blissful contentment on his face.

I kissed him softly then rested my head against his poked out chest. The fatigue hit me quickly. His soft breaths filled my ears as my eyes started to close on their own.

  Chapter 13

I remember when I first met Kimmy Woods. It was my first day at the shelter and she just stumbled in. We had a lot of people coming in, but Kimmy stood out. It wasn’t just that she was so tiny and frail. The way she lurched in was like something out of a zombie movie. It was clear she needed medical attention.

Her skin was pale. Her body was so thin you would have assumed she had some sort of eating disorder. There was a lifelessness in her eyes that broke my heart. Seeing her cover up the needle tracks on her arm only made the situation worse.

She was the kind of person I knew I had to help but hoped I never encountered. Somehow, some way, she managed to get better. She stayed at the shelter for a few weeks. Nurse Marie took care of her and worked her magic. I didn’t even remember how it happened. I just know that it did. The pale and sickly young girl had managed to get back on her feet. I knew it was only a matter of time before she got her life heading back in the right direction.

Seeing her in the hospital brought back all of the bad memories of the first time I met her. She somehow managed to look even worse. Her eyes were closed and she was peaceful. Her body laid there motionless. There wasn’t much to indicate she was alive outside of the screens monitoring her and beeping at a steady pace.

I sat next to her bed and stared at her while Dr. Braun examined her. He made notes on his clipboard without saying anything, going about his business like a professional.

  “Any progress?” I asked.

“No progress,” he said. “But she’s not regressing. Usually, there’s deterioration during drug-induced comas. That’s a good sign.”

“Does that mean she’s going to make it?”

I looked up at the doctor and he shook his head at me, a slight frown on his face.

“You should remain optimistic,” he said. “It’s clear she’s fighting. Hope and pray for her. That’s all you can do at this point. There’s a chance. But I don’t want to make you any promises. I want to be honest with you.”

  “I understand.”

“I’ll give you a moment with her.”

The doctor left. I listened to the door close behind me as I turned my attention back to Kimmy.

“Hey,” I whispered. “You’re doing okay. I know you are. It’s me, Sheila. Miss Cooper.”

I chuckled to myself as the memory came back to me.

“I remember the first time we met. You kept calling me Miss Cooper. I corrected you every time. The look on your face…”

I had to pause for a second, the memory making me laugh once again.

“…You looked at me like I was the school principal and I was about to suspend you. You don’t look at me like that anymore. You still call me Miss Cooper. I have to keep correcting you on that. I know you’re not doing it out of fear though. I know that’s just a habit you can’t break.”

Kimmy remained still. She looked so peaceful. I stared at her, waiting for her to open her eyes even though I knew the doctor told me they could only revive her when she was ready.

&
nbsp; I couldn’t look at her for very long. I looked away from her to avoid letting my feelings get the best of me.

“I’m still looking, okay? I know who’s responsible for this. I don’t… I don’t know what I’m going to do exactly. I’m sorry. I promise it’ll get done. The person that did this will get what’s coming to them. So, you stay with me, okay? When you get up, we’ll celebrate. We’ll go and get some of that frozen yogurt you’re always talking about. It’s still hot outside, so it’ll taste even better. The summer is a long way from being over. We still…”

I swallowed as my emotions started getting the best of me. I shook my head and wiped my eyes with my index finger, trying to maintain my composure.

“We still have a lot of things to do,” I sighed. “Don’t stay away for too long, okay?”

I reached forward and gripped her hand in mine. Her hand was so small. I squeezed it in some hope it would squeeze back.

Suddenly, the door opened behind me and I pulled my hand away.

  “Oh, doctor, I—”

I turned around expecting to see Dr. Braun but it wasn’t him. Instead, there was a police officer in full uniform.

He stood there with his thumbs in his belt. His hat covered his head completely but without any hair peeking out, I assumed he was bald. He had fair skin and his face looked like it was freshly shaved. His eyes were brown and his lips were thin. He looked young, especially for a cop.

He had a polite smile on his face.

“I’m sorry, officer,” I said as I stood up. “Is there something you need? I think you’re in the wrong room.”

“No, this is the right room,” he said, his voice deeper than I expected it to be. “Can I speak to you outside?”

“Can I ask what this is about?”

“Sure. I’ll explain it to you outside.”

I was a bit hesitant but there was nothing else I could do. There was only one exit and I followed the officer out of it. As soon as I left Kimmy’s room, I noticed something strange immediately. I looked around and saw two police officers standing in the hall. A nervous feeling began twisting inside of my stomach. The kind of nervous feeling I’d felt before and was beginning to grow tired of.

“My name is Officer Brian Dion. Are you Sheila Cooper?”

  I shouldn’t answer him.

  “…Yes.”

Against my better judgment, I told him the truth.

“How do you know my name?” I asked.

“Listen. We need to speak. Alone. If you’ll come with me—”

“I’m not coming with you anywhere until I know what this is all about.”

I was still in the dark. Part of me was getting angry. I remembered the gun in the holster on my leg and suddenly realized I might have to use it.

The officer shifted his eyes up and down the hallway like he was looking for something then whispered to me.

“It’s about Victor Castle,” he said.

I was frozen in place. I began to fear the worst.

Did something happen? Is the shelter all right? Did Noah get involved?

“Please, Miss Cooper,” he continued. “This is important.”

“How do I know you don’t work for Castle? I’ve heard he has some cops on his payroll. How do I know this isn’t some trick?”

  “You don’t.”

He said it so bluntly I didn’t know how to respond.

“Look,” he said. “If I worked for Castle, do you think I would do anything now, in the middle of a hospital with all of these witnesses and cameras? If he wanted to do something to you, he wouldn’t leave any trace of it. You should know that better than anyone.”

His reasoning made sense. Castle threatened me once but he wouldn’t be so reckless in carrying it out. That still didn’t make me trust the cop completely though. I didn’t know what to do.

“Listen, we’ll go to the hospital cafeteria. We’ll have a cup of coffee and I’ll explain everything to you. I’ll tell you everything you need to know. Miss Cooper, please. Just trust me.”

“…All right,” I sighed. “I’ll listen but that doesn’t mean I trust you.”

  “Fair enough.”

The cop turned around and I followed behind him. I didn’t make eye contact with some of the other officers standing in the hall as I made my way past them. I walked with Officer Dion through the hospital and into the cafeteria. I poured myself a cup of coffee and he did the same. The cafeteria was crowded and everybody was in the middle of a conversation. I took a seat at a table in the corner of the room and he sat down in front of me.

“Okay,” I said. “This is about Victor Castle. What about him?”

“You’re tied to him because of what happened to Kimberly Woods. You’re tied to Kimberly Woods through the shelter. Is that correct?”

  “That’s right.”

“We don’t know what happened to that girl. Not exactly. But we suspect, just like you do, that it was Castle.”

“Great. You have a bunch of geniuses working at your police station.”

“Just because we know he did something to her doesn’t mean anything unless we can prove it. We need evidence.”

  “Okay. What’s your point?”

  “Listen…”

He leaned forward and shifted his eyes to the side, paranoid somebody might be listening, before looking back at me.

“The district attorney’s office is working on a case against Victor Castle,” he whispered. “They’re piling up the evidence they can use against him. The problem with a guy like Castle is there isn’t much. So every little piece counts. When they charge him, they want to have enough so they can lock him up for a long time when he’s convicted. If the DA convicted him on one charge, he’d buy up enough lawyers to get back on the street after serving a day in prison.”

I wasn’t sure how to respond. Everything made sense. The only thing that didn’t was why he was telling me this.

“What do I have to do with any of this?”

“It’s because of your connection to Kimberly Woods.”

“Because I work at a shelter she stayed at? I’m concerned for her well-being. That still doesn’t explain how I’m involved.”

“Because you are involved. You’re close to her and you have a vendetta against him.”

  “A vendetta. I don’t know—”

“We have agents, Miss Cooper. We have men undercover working for Castle. We got information you were looking for him. One of our agents was put at risk to tell us this. You actually confronted him, did you not?”

I didn’t say anything. The revelation made me realize I was way in over my head. I was still having trouble trying to process all of it. I looked out the window, hoping that I’d misheard everything.

“Look,” Dion continued. “The DA doesn’t give two shits about you. If you wanna get involved with Castle then fine. The district attorney’s office isn’t concerned with you if it means bagging this asshole. But when you step out of line, you’re compromising months of work. It makes Castle suspicious. You’re putting other lives in jeopardy. They don’t give a fuck if you get killed. What they’re trying to do is make sure nobody else does. And you’re putting the entire investigation at risk by getting in the way.”

I was being told something I already knew. I wasn’t in the right frame of mind because I was so determined. Now the consequences were even greater than I could have ever anticipated.

“I’m sorry,” I sighed. “I just feel like I have to do something.”

“It’s okay. I understand. Believe me. You’re not the only one who wants to take that son of a bitch down. Listen… If things all go according to plan, you can testify. You heard Castle say he was responsible for what happened to that girl. If we have enough witness testimony and enough evidence, we can lock him up and throw away the key.”

  “I understand.”

“Good. Just stay out of the way.”

I leaned back in my chair and turned to look out the window. I tried to process all o
f it.

“I know you want to do something,” Dion continued. “It’s frustrating.”

“No, it’s all right,” I replied. “I suppose it’s for the best.”

I sighed a deep breath and turned back to Dion.

“It didn’t feel like anybody was doing anything,” I said. “It felt like Castle was getting away with whatever he wanted. Whenever I look at Kimmy, all I could think about how nobody is going to bring the one responsible to justice.”

Dion took a sip of his coffee and nodded. I stared at the table, lost in my thoughts as I tried to figure out what next to do or say.

“Listen,” he said. “I know you’re gonna do what you’re gonna do. You seem like the type who’s hot-headed enough—”

“What makes you say that?” I interrupted him.

“Because you confronted Victor Castle by yourself. I can’t stop you from doing something like that, as much as I might try. Just… Just remember there’s a lot at stake here. And if you ever need anything or something comes up, you can come and talk to me. Let me give you my number.”

I pulled my phone out and saved the number he gave me.

“It doesn’t matter when, day or night, just call me if something comes up. If you’re thinking about doing something stupid, let me talk you out of it.”

I stared at his number on my phone and sighed a deep breath through my nostrils.

  “Who sent you?” I asked.

  “What do you mean?”

“Who sent you? Why are you the one telling me all this?”

“…It’s a small team. Only a few people know. I was the one responsible for explaining all of this to you. This wasn’t my decision. If it were up to me, I wouldn’t have said a word. Hell, I shouldn’t have told you we’ve got undercover agents working for Castle.”

“So, why did you tell me?”

I shifted my eyes up and stared at him.

“You work at a homeless shelter,” he explained. “All of that information is public record. Anybody who wants to know anything about you can look it up. It’s readily available. And from what I’ve read, you seem like a decent person. I trust you. Now I’m asking you to trust me.”
