Wave Page 14

Baz explains the water is only a short walk through a tropical path. Instead of holding his hand, I stay at his side while he relies on the cane to steady himself. I have to say I’m impressed by his improvement. “You’re doing great, Baz.”

“I hurt like hell. I’m only doing good because I’m trying to impress you.”

  “Want to stop and rest?”

As soon as I say it he does. He leans on a tree and take a few deep breaths. Crouching down beside him, I catch his smile first. “You’re as beautiful as the first day I saw you on my beach.”

“There you go again, sweet talking your way into my pants.”

  “Are you giving me permission?”

“You know I can’t resist your advances forever, Baz.”

“Aside from the bullshit, I’ve been waiting for this day for a long ass time.”

“Should we head back or is the beach close?”

“I think I need that kiss.” He’s ignoring my question. “Come over here and plant one on me. Give it all you’ve got. Make me so fucking weak I won’t be able to get back up.”

I giggle. It’s a little silly to hear him talk this way, even though I know he’s being completely serious.

I inch closer, licking my lips to prepare for what’s about to happen. My eyes are closing as I navigate my way through the narrow opening between his halo. With my lips semi parted, I close in on the target, my mouth brushing his ever so slowly. I suck and lick, pulling away only to go back for more. When I feel his tongue brush over mine for the first time my body comes alive. It’s like putting the key into an ignition and hearing the engine roar to life. Electricity radiates through every limb, heightening our already explosive interaction. When my head begins to rub against the metal frame of his halo I know I’m losing control.

We part, but only because he knows it’s uncomfortable. “Wow.”

“Yeah, I know.” My heart feel as if it’s about to pound right out of my chest.

“No,” he corrects while pointing at his crotch. An erection is obvious in the thin basketball shorts he’s wearing. “Wow.”

I look around. I’ve never been promiscuous, but I’m also not a saint. I’ve been daring before and there’s no time like the present to prove my intent. My hand draws over the fabric of his shorts, shortening the distance to the center. Using my fingertips, I walk them the rest of the way to his enticing package. A hand comes down over mine, and I’m suddenly forced to question his decision. “What’s wrong?”

“If you were anyone else I’d be pushing your head down there. Trust me. I want it, but not here. Not like this. At least let me get you down to the beach. I have plans for you, Miley Rose. Stop trying to distract me with your seductive ideas.”

“Sorry. I’ve been holding them in for a while.”

He brings his hand up and brushes three fingers across my lips. “You’re really here aren’t you?”

  “I am.”

“I might never let you leave.”

When he pulls me in for another kiss I’m left breathless. We sit there tangled up the best we can manage with nothing around us but tall trees and green plants. It’s perfect, almost like a dream I never want to wake up from.

  Chapter 33

  Baz

I should apologize for the way things went down in the hospital, but now that Miley is here nestled in my arms, it feels like it’s better if we let go of everything and move forward. From the first moment I spotted her getting out of the cab, I knew this felt right. The animosity disintegrated. She’s not here out of pity. She didn’t skip out on her program because she was guilty of something. She’s here for the same reason I would have gone to her. There’s some kind of pull we can’t deny. It’s powerful and exciting, but at the same time nerve-wracking and consuming. No matter how this came to be, she’s exactly what I need.

We’ve yet to make it to the beach. Our little break turned into a make out session. Granted, if my head wasn’t secured by a halo unit it would be better, but she’s not complaining.

“It’s beautiful here,” Miley breaks the silence.

Her head sits comfortably against my torso while I stroke her long brown hair. A gentle breeze blows the tropical plants around, making it cool and bearable. “The beach is even better. Where I’m leading us is a cove, so there’s no waves. We can wade in the water without a current. The larger waves are to the left past a peninsula of rocks. That’s where the surf shop is.”

  “Is this another secret beach?”

“Sort of. It’s tiny and hard to locate unless you use the path from Max’s house, so no one can easily get to it. It’s nothing spectacular, but it’s quiet and safe.”

She smirks and gazes at me with an ornery look. “Safe? It’s not the beach I’m worried about.” I match her laughter as she says it.

  “Okay, you have a point.”

“Just saying, maybe I’m up for an adventure. If it’s with you, I’m willing to take some risks.”

I start to get up, causing her to move back to give me room. Using the tree behind me as support, I’m able to get back to standing. Miley brushes off the sand and takes my hand, allowing me to lead the way. After a few minutes we’re coming to an opening, where she freezes in place and takes in the surroundings. I have to admit, I’m a little awestruck. I’m surrounded by spectacular beauty wherever I turn. “Damn, I really missed the water.”

“I bet. You probably haven’t been this deprived since prison.”

“Probably right. It only seems fitting to be doing this with you though. I mean, you were the last person I was in the water with.”

“True. As unfortunate as it was.”

“It brought us together, and honestly, it made me realize there’s more to life than surfing. If I never make it on the surfing circuit I’ll survive.”

Miley lifts my hand and brings her head in to sit under the pit of my arm. I rest it down on her shoulder as we approach the water’s edge. She’s reserved, but it’s most likely because she fears the water. In some ways I can relate. Her steps beside me don’t falter. They keep up with my eager pace. The sand squishes between my toes before we hit the wet harder parts of the beach. In the distance I can hear the waves crashing on the opposite side of the rock formations. It’s calm where we’re standing. “Wow. You can see everything.”

The crystal clear water displays an array of tropical fish, as well as some colorful underwater plant life. “Yeah, I brought a chick out here once to snorkel. She liked it so much she ignored me the whole day.”

“Sucks to be you,” she torments.

  “Her loss,” I add.

Miley shakes her head while continuing to stare out in the flat sea. “Are we going to get in?”

She’s wearing shorts and a tank top, so I doubt she wants to get her clothes wet. I’m in a pair of long shorts with a sleeveless shirt. Miley lets go of my hand and starts unfastening her bottoms. I watch the jean fabric drop onto the sandy beach. She kicks them out of the way of the water and starts on her top. I’m so taken back I just stand there watching her strip. Standing in a semi-matching pair of skimpy panties, and an equally revealing lace bra, she looks to me. “Your turn.”

“Can’t I just stand here and take you in for a bit? Maybe I can persuade you to lose the rest too?” I point to my collar. “I think I deserve a show.”

  “Oh really? Do you?”

If I was able to nod I’d be doing it right now. “Yup.”

  “How deep is the water?”

“You’re good for about a hundred yards out. It might be four feet at the deepest part over this way,” I explain while pointing.

She springs toward the water, one foot kicking a spray of water over me. Her smile only causes me to question whether I want to risk another injury by attempting to run after her, or to be careful and take my time joining her. I point to my clothes. "Some help over here would be nice."

Miley rolls her eyes, for a second she questions if I'm setting her up, but finally joins m
e on shore. It's much easier for her to assist me in lifting my shirt over my head. Once that's done she gets down on her knees, and I take a moment to give her a hard time about it.

"You know what else you can do down there?"

She slaps me lightly on my ass. "That offer has expired."

Her happy mood is like a breath of fresh air. She seems genuinely content and I want to think I have something to do with it. "Damn. I'll know better for next time."

My shorts are quickly being shoved down until I'm able to step out of them. Now she's sitting there staring at my boxers. For a brief second I wonder if my junk is hanging out, until she stands and runs back into the water.

Miley splashes me again, this time wetting my face.

I'm slow moving, and it obviously doesn't bother her a bit. She's being too playful for me to ask for a time out. I'm enjoying this side of her way too much to ask her to stop.

When I make it out to where she stands she laces her hands with mine and holds them on my hips. Her serious face let's me know she's concerned for my safety. "You okay?"

"Yeah. I hate that this halo has two bars instead of one. It would be much easier to make out." I release her hold and place my hands around her waist to pull her against me. "I could stay like this all day"

She reaches up on her toes and weaves her head in between the halo to kiss me. For a minute we're caught up in the embrace. When she pulls away I'm left wanting more. "We can go out further. I'll hold you up," she offers.

"I think I'll be the one holding you. No gravity means I don't have to have strength." I guide her out where I know there aren't rocks or coral. We're up to our chests in the water and she's clung to my hand for both of our support. When I spin around and pull her against me I bring her legs up until she's floating and wrapped around my waist. She places her arms under and around the top of my shoulders for support without affecting my neck. Her head nestles against my chest and we both close our eyes. "You're holding me," she confirms.

"I've waited a long time to be able to do this."

"Well I've waited a long time to experience something other than sadness. Thank you, Baz."

"Don't thank me with words, babe. Thank me other ways."

She giggles. "Maybe later. I'm too comfortable to move."

"Yeah, I know the feeling. I could get used to this."

  “Me too, Baz. It’s perfect.”

We're barely doing anything. Her warm skin is pressed over mine and I'm not itching to take it further. I want to go slow with Miley today so she knows how much she means to me. Miley will never be like the women who came before her, and it's time I let go of my fears and commit to this. She needs to know how serious I am about being with her, and what that could mean for both of our futures.

  Chapter 34

  Miley

We spend the morning walking on the beach and wading in the water. The beach is deserted except for the two of us, and it almost feels like he planned it perfectly, even though I know this visit was a surprise. While we're standing there I lean in to kiss Baz. Tropical birds are singing in the nearby trees and they’re blowing as a light gust comes across the water.

Baz has been patient with me this morning, but I know his growing need can't go unnoticed much longer. He breaks from another hypnotic kiss and stares deeply into my eyes.

"I want you so bad right now, babe. Right here, right now, while my hands are gracing every inch of this body. I might not be one-hundred percent, but we can make it work."

There's nothing but a carnal hunger in his stare. The lids of his eyes appear heavy, like he's drunk on the idea of us.

I'm rendered speechless as I take his hand and guide him down onto a blanket of soft sand. After bringing my leg around to straddle him, I’m able to feel Baz's excitement against my ass. He remains still while watching me squiggle around to get a rise out of him, literally. Even through his shorts I know there's something amazing waiting for me to explore. I lick my lips and bring my hand down until it's slipping inside the opening to his boxers. His smooth skin becomes surrounded as my hand grips around it.

It's been a long time since I've been with a man I wanted as badly as I do Baz. I knew my visit today would end in this, but I couldn't anticipate how natural it feels to be with him. It's like we've done this a hundred times before.

My body trembles with anticipation. Though his injury prevents us from doing a lot of things, it won't keep us from being together today. He needs this as much as I do, because it confirms everything I've been wanting since I started to develop feelings for him.

I enjoy teasing Baz, stroking his hard cock until he's sucking in air and holding his breath. It gets me so aroused I find myself needing to be touched. There's a deep yearning when I imagine his large hands mapping paths over my exposed skin. Bringing his hands up to my breasts, I feel him cup them before the fabric is tugged down enough they each pop out. The cool breeze hardens my nipples and I watch him licking his lips wishing he could suck on them.

He's like a fragile egg, so tough on the inside but weak on the outside. He knows what he wants, though he's not strong enough to see it through. Determined to make it work, I move the crotch of my panties to the side, and rub over him.

Since he's forced to hold his head in one position, I feel the need to explain what I'm doing to heighten the experience. "Can you feel that? That's me rubbing you."

He reaches one hand down and touches me. I gasp when his fingers drag over my pussy. "Stand up so I can see you."

  "What if someone sees us?"

  "It's just us. I promise."

Trusting him, I stand with my legs on either side of his. Baz grabs the back of my knees and pulls himself up until he's sitting. I run my fingers through his messy hair as his hands hook into the elastic of my panties and starts pulling them down. I step out of them and feel exposed for the whole world to see. For a few seconds I want to ask him to stop, up until he touches me there again. Baz uses his fingers to bring me pleasure. He rubs me and thumbs over my clit until my knees begin to buckle and I fall down to straddle him again. Turning my head to the side, I reach into between the halo and kiss him tenderly on the lips. We break though our eyes remain focused. "Please be with me," he begs.

My whole body is vibrating with anticipation as I kiss his shoulder while positioning him to slide inside of me. Slow and gradual, I accept him, not just my body but also my soul. We're making love, on the most beautiful, private beach. It’s like heaven, except I know I'm very much alive.

His hands hold onto my waist as I do the work, all while his eyes never leave mine. It's irrefutably intense, emotional, and utter bliss. Nothing has ever felt so perfect. It's natural and raw. It's hot and erotic. Most of all, it's love in the most sensual of ways.

When I hear him moan, I’m fully aware he’s struggling to hold on. It’s been too long. It’s a lot for him to endure. I’m not even certain how much time has gone by, because I’ve been too focused on the little details in his actions. Like the way he holds onto me. The way his eyes peer into my soul. The way our hands lace together, but most importantly how it feels when he touches me.

I slow down, gradually, but refuse to stop grinding. I can’t. I want more of him, all that he has to offer. Baz sits up and pushes me backwards so he’s able to massage my breasts. He’s focused on the task. I start to orgasm, all of the groping and build up sending me over the edge before I can comprehend what’s happening. It’s euphoric and utterly exuberating. As I’m coming down from my current high, I can feel a change in his demeanor. Baz is about to blow, and when I think that he can't hold it anymore, I begin to ride him hard and fast. Then I feel him losing control. He grabs my hips and digs into my skin with his nails. Our breathing is labored when Baz’s entire body tightens. Then everything stops. It’s quiet around us, as if nothing exists, just the two of us, entangled and spent.

My words come out in almost a whisper against his bare skin. “I love you.” There’s no reply to follow, and even t
hough I know it will eventually weigh heavily on my heart, for now I’m too overwhelmed to care.

  Chapter 35

  Baz

Miley said she loved me. It’s something I’ve never heard a girl say before, more importantly after sex. That probably makes me seem like a shallow prick, but at least I’m willing to admit it. Not knowing how to respond, I pretend it didn’t happen. I know it’s not the best way to handle it, but I’m uncomfortable. This is all new for me, and for now I just want to savor the moment without added stress involved.

The day couldn’t be going anymore perfect.

After our time on the beach we walked back to the house to find that the guys had already come back for lunch and left again. We spend the afternoon in Max’s room, tangled up in clean sheets Miley insisted on changing. After a little consideration I figured she had valid points about the cleanliness of the first set.

The windows are open and a chilly breeze is becoming a bit stronger, which only means an afternoon storm is about to roll in. Usually only lasting a few minutes, I don’t think much about the changing weather, or the fact that Max and his dad could come home early. All I’m focused on is the naked female sprawled out over my body.

The sight of Miley sleeping soundly rekindles my emotions from our beach encounter. Just a few months ago, neither of us knew the other existed; yet I can't imagine never meeting her. It no longer matters how we came to be, or what the circumstances were. I’m recovering, and she has a lot to do with that. She was there for me, more than anyone else. After discovering she’d pulled me from the water’s edge and resuscitated me, I felt obligated to forgive her bad choices. I’m alive because of Miley, and she’s alive because of me. We’re connected, and we will be for the rest of our lives.

She says I’m her reason for wanting to live, but maybe she’s mine. She gives me hope. She understands my pain, and instead of being selfish she thinks of me first. I've never known a woman to fit so perfectly into my life. I've heard of soul mates, but never thought it was possible, but fate, well I’m starting to believe that it’s real. How else can someone explain what we share?
