Andy saw Win stand up to leave, and he looked at South and Rex, frowning at them. He turned to look at Nickels. “I thought this was what I wanted, and maybe at one time it was. But that was before Tia was in my life… I’m sorry.” He got up and followed Win out of the room, leaving South and Rex with their mouths hanging open, and one pissed-off record producer.

They made their way to the elevator, and Win pushed the lobby button. They stood in silence for a second, and Win was amazed that he felt so much better now that he’d made the decision that he already knew he wanted to make. But Addison was right, he needed to know for sure that’s what he wanted before he made his plans with her, and now it was crystal clear to him. He turned to look at Andy, and for the first time in a couple of days there was a smile on Andy’s face. His arms were crossed as he leaned back against the elevator wall, just smiling like the weight of the world was taken off his shoulders. “I’m ready to go home. What about you?” Andy asked him.

Win chuckled at the relief in his voice. “You know what, I’m so ready to get my ass back home,” Win expressed, punching him in the shoulder and making Andy laugh.

  Chapter 13

Addison was cleaning herself up after her shift and getting ready to leave for the night, when Mindy came in looking really upset. She sat down next to her, opening up her locker, but kept looking back at Addison. “Mindy, what is going on with you? Are you and Lynn fighting again or something?” Ad asked.

Mindy stopped aimlessly digging through her locker and her head fell into her hands. Drops of water started to fall and Addison heard her take a shuddering breath. “No, we’re not. But she’s going to be so pissed off when she finds out what I did.“ Her eyes were full of tears when she looked up. “And you’re going to hate me,” she sniffed, looking defeated.

Ad put her arm around her shoulder, hugging her. “Honey, I could never hate you. You know that, don’t you?” she said, pushing back some hair that escaped her bun into her face.

Tears started flowing heavily now from Mindy, and her words were hard to understand. “Oh Ad, you will when I tell you what I did.”

Lynn came in from just finishing her paperwork for the next nurse, and saw Addison hugging a crying Mindy to her. “What the hell happened?” she asked, getting worried.

Mindy looked up at Lynn, wiping her nose. “Look, I need to tell you two something before we head home. Can we go to the cafeteria, I don’t want Margie to start screaming at me,” she said quietly.

Lynn put her hands in her short hair, looking down at Mindy. “Holy shit! It’s that bad?”

“Okay, honey, let’s go get a water. Then you can tell us what’s going on,” Ad said, looking up at Lynn.

The cafeteria was closed but Addison got Mindy a bottle of water, placing it in front of her. The three of them just sat there and Ad and Lynn waited for Mindy to spill the beans about what happened. Mindy was ringing her hands together, so they both knew she was extremely nervous. “I’ve been seeing Dax,” she blurted out at them.

Lynn leaned on the table, hoping she hadn’t heard correctly what Mindy just said. “When were you seeing Dax?” Lynn asked.

Her lips shook. “He found me when Nickels came into town. I guess Jimmy liked the band, thought they could bring some fresh faces to the label. They didn’t know we were here. But Dax found me at the bar.”

Addison thought back to the missing Mindy that night when Nickels showed up, and the many times she’d been missing since. “So Jimmy has known where we were at this whole time?” Ad asked, just to make sure she was getting the whole gist of everything.

Mindy frowned, looking at the table. “Yes,” she whispered guiltily.

Lynn leaned back now, thinking things through. “The good news is he hasn’t shown up here. Maybe he’s finally decided to just give up, leave us alone, and give you your fucking divorce, Ad,” Lynn told them hopefully.

“Well, that’s what I thought too. And I said something like that to Dax one night, but he said that Jimmy was just going to leave you alone for a while. I guess he was really upset over your wrist, Ad, and he wanted you to just get away from the whole rock scene like you wanted,” Mindy muttered to them.

Lynn was pissed; she hit the table with her fist, making Mindy jump. “He was angry about her fucking wrist? What the hell…” But Addison put her hand on her arm, giving her head a little shake. They knew if Mindy was afraid she would just shut down, and they wouldn’t get anything more from her. “So what’s changed from then to now? Why are you upset?” Addison questioned her calmly.

Mindy took a deep breath. “Samantha called me. She told me that she saw the boys at Chubby’s bar. Jimmy was pissed, talking about you and your new boyfriend. I guess him and Win ran into each other at the studios. Win talked about marrying you, to Jimmy… Jimmy’s lost his mind.”

“None of this is your fault, Mindy,” Addison told her.

“I told Dax that you were in love with Win…”

Now Lynn jumped up from the cafeteria chair, knocking it backwards. “What! Why in the hell would you do that, Mindy?” Lynn yelled at her.

She put her face in her hands as the tears started to fall again. “I don’t know. I get stupid with Dax when we’re in bed together… I just don’t think!” she sobbed; then she looked up at Addison. “He said he wouldn’t see me again until you all came home with me,” she told them, crying even harder now.

Addison stared at Mindy. She knew she couldn’t keep her mouth shut where Dax was concerned. The man could talk her into anything. Hell, at this point they all thought she would tell him anything he wanted to know, just as long as he stayed with her. “Do you think he’s going to try to hurt Winston?” Ad looked over at Lynn fearfully.

Lynn picked up the chair, sitting back down and shaking her head at the mess they found themselves in again. “No, I think they’ll be fine. Nickels will sign them to the label, and that will take care of Jimmy getting pissed about Win, because we know Jimmy will make sure to keep him away.”

“But what I do think is he’ll come after you, Addison. Then Nickels, Jones, and Howie will all have us back home and under their damn thumbs again.” She sighed. “The question is, do we go home to them and take our punishment, or do we try to hide again?” Lynn mused.

Addison’s heart was racing at the thought of an angry Jimmy finding her. “But this time if we decide to hide, we have to give up the music scene completely,” she said quietly, then looked at Mindy. “And you need to stay away from Dax, he is nothing but poison for you.” Lynn nodded in agreement. “Now we have to sit down and discuss what we’re going to do.”

Addison looked at her two friends. “I think Jimmy will come after me before the guys come home from their two-week trip out to L.A. So whatever decision we make, it needs to be done tonight.”

  ***

They walked out of the hospital into the cool night air. Lynn was clearly pissed at Mindy’s stupidity, but Ad put her arm around her, understanding that sometimes you just don’t think when you’re in love with someone. But deep down she was frightened that Jimmy knew where to find them.

Somberly they made their way to the van, all their minds going in different directions. Lynn had pulled out the keys to get into the van when they saw a tall figure leaning up against the passenger side door. Mindy froze and gasped in fright. That’s when the figure turned his head, and Addison would know that face anywhere. “Winston?” she said, baffled that it was him.

“Yeah angel, it’s me,” he said with a cocky smile on his face.

She went running to him, and he scooped her up, hugging himself close to her. “What are you doing back so soon? I thought you’d be gone for at least another week and a half,” she asked after she kissed him.

He looked over at the girls, holding Addison off the ground in his arms. “Do you mind if I take her home?”

Lynn looked over at Addison. “Yeah, we’ll talk when you get home, Ad.”

Addison nodded, knowing this was goi
ng to be a long-ass night when she got back to her apartment. Win’s lips found hers, and he kissed her all the way back to his truck. He opened the door for her, placed her on the seat, and went to get in on his side. He was going to start the truck but she stopped him. They were way out in the back of the parking lot and they were all alone.

Her hand touched his. “Let’s just stay here for a minute,” she told him softly. His eyes roamed over her face, and she was sure he could tell there was something going on. “You know, I was ready to come home three days ago, but we had to wait for a flight to get back,” he said, taking her hand.

“So what happened? Are you guys signed already?” she asked, confused.

He chuckled at her expression. “No, angel. I didn’t sign. After I got there I knew what I wanted, and it wasn’t to be in some famous rock band. All I’ve ever wanted was to play in a band with my friends, then my girl can come and watch me, and when I’m done I can take her home and make love to her all night long,” he said, taking her hands and pulling her over to him.

She straddled his lap, as he put the seat all the way back and the steering wheel up. Her hands went to his face, feeling his whiskers, running her fingers over his lips. “Are you sure, I mean really sure? I don’t want you to end up hating me later because of this decision,” she said, biting her own lip.

His answer was to take her by the head, pulling her mouth to his. When he slipped his tongue in her mouth she wrapped her arms around him, as his arms went around her waist, hugging her tightly to his body.

Her hands went under his shirt to feel the soft skin of his stomach. His groan was loud, making a smile form on her face, loving that just her touch set him off.

The hands holding her tightly moved under her shirt and unsnapped her bra. He pushed her back, leaning her against the steering wheel. He took his hands, feeling her skin, pushing up the scrubs and undergarments, exposing her breasts to him.

“Oh angel, I’ve been dreaming about these,” his voice deep and lustful. His mouth kissed her nipple, then he flicked it with his tongue, making her gasp and grab hold of his beautiful auburn hair. “Win, I missed you,” she whispered, loving his mouth on her.

He sucked her nipple into his mouth, torturing her. “I need you, playboy. I need you right now.” He chuckled with her nipple still in his mouth. The vibration set her body off, driving her need for him to the painful point.

He released her chest, licking the now hardened bud, making her shiver. “I like that, angel,” he told her huskily. Lifting herself off him she started to unbuckle his pants. He lifted himself off the seat as she helped him pull them down, exposing his already throbbing erection to her.

She took his erection in her hand, then slipped her tongue into his delicious mouth, exploring him, tasting him. He was already so hard, as her hand worked him, feeling his piercing when she stroked to his tip. Soon she felt the moisture roll down to her fingers.

She released his mouth, and she was on her knees looking into his eyes. Sitting up, she managed to take off her scrub pants and panties, and took his erection in her hand, placing it at her needy wet entrance.

  “Addison…” he groaned in question.

“If you want me to stop I will. But I want to feel you in me tonight,” she told him, biting her lip as she looked into his eyes. “I love you, Winston,” she whispered to him.

His smile was crooked, and his eyes were full of lust, but something more… “Lord, Angel, I love you too,” he growled, as his hands went to her hips, helping her slide down him.

She threw her head back. “I love that piercing, playboy,” she moaned, as she started moving on him. He grunted every time she slid back down him.

“Oh angel, I’m never going to be able to use something after this. I’m going to be needy for this sweet pussy every damn night!” he growled.

He leaned her against the steering wheel once again, taking a nipple into his mouth, as her panting was becoming heavy. He took hold of her hips, setting the pace and moaning with every delicious stroke she rode him.

He bit softly on her nipple and her dam was about to burst, as she pushed him back, grabbing hold of the seat, and slammed her heat down on him. His cock stroked her swollen pierced nub on every glide up and every thrust down, taking him fully, as her orgasm was about to go over the abyss.

She started panting as she took him harder and faster. “Fuck angel, I’m going to cum!” Win grunted, as she kept her pace.

“Oh God that’s it, oh yes, oh yes, baby!” she screamed out, throwing her head back and feeling herself tighten around him, loving the feel of him in her body, as well as holding her tightly.

He had her hips in his hands and she could feel him twitch in her before he came. “Addison, oh angel! Fuck…Yes!” Win hollered as her orgasm milked him of his seed, and she felt his warmth go deep inside her center.

She started to slow down, and his arms went around her; she kissed him, as his body shuddered from its pleasure it found with her. When she released his mouth she pulled back just enough to look him in the eyes. “Do you really love me?” she asked softly.

He smiled, bringing his hands up to push some hair from her face, but then he looked seriously at her. “More than anything, angel. More than anything!” he told her fiercely.

Win walked Addison to her apartment door, holding her in his arms. “I’m going to go talk to the girls for a little bit. I’ll come over after we’re done, all right, playboy?” she said, getting to her tiptoes and kissing his lips.

He growled, taking the back of her head and kissing her fully. “Are you sure you don’t just want to come to my place? I’ve been dreaming about you, me, and my bed for at least five days now,” he told her, enfolding her in his arms.

She chuckled at him. “I’m coming over…I promise. We just had something planned is all. You know, I didn’t think you were coming home for quite some time. I can’t leave my girls high and dry, can I, just because my man’s home.”

He kissed her one more time, then placed her back on her feet. “I guess I can get that. I need to talk to South and Rex anyways, so I’ll see you a little later then, angel.” He kissed her again for good measure.

Addison took a deep breath before she opened the door, already knowing the absolute chaos going on in the apartment. When she stepped in, it was just as she thought: all hell had broken loose.

Tia sat at the table in tears. Apparently Lynn made her send Andy away, and that sent a red flag in Tia’s world, letting her know something bad was up. That’s when she sat them down and told them what had happened.

Addison walked to the kitchen, sitting down at the little table that Margie had gotten from a client for free, as they looked at each other. She placed her hands on the table, had to think of what to start with. “I’m sorry, guys. I would have thought he’d be done with me by now,” she told her girls. “I want to know what you all want to do. If you want to go back home…we go. If you want to stay here…we stay. If you want to try a new place…then we try a new place.”

Margie asked a question that must have been burning on her brain since Addison had been gone. “I haven’t seen Rex, did they sign?”

“No, Andy and Win left. And Nickels told South, it was a band they wanted to sign…not just a lead singer and a bass,” Ad said.

“So we know Andy came over, but did you tell him anything that was going on?” Lynn asked.

She shook her head, biting her lip, and Addison knew whatever they planned, they were going to have to include Andy in it. It was whether he could keep his mouth shut to the others that could be a problem.

Margie’s hands went to her eyes, rubbing them with her palms from exhaustion. “It seems pointless to hide anymore, he’s just going to keep coming. Hell, even the others want us to come home… Plus Jimmy already knows we’re here, so why don’t we stay and see what happens?”

Mindy sat back, clearly upset by the turn of events. “Don’t none of you want to go home?
” she asked. “Don’t give me that fucking look, Lynn… I miss being back with all of our friends. I miss being back to the life we know.”

  “Mindy!” Tia cried out.

“She misses having Dax in between her thighs!” Margie hissed, only to have Mindy gasping at the cruelty in her words.

Addison held up her hand to stop the bickering. “No, it’s her right to want to go back home. It’s none of you guys’ husbands that’re pulling this shit, so there’s that option too,” she told them. “Does anyone else think that maybe we should just pack it up and head back home?”

Lynn looked at the girls and then at the table. “You love Win, Ad?”

She sighed. “Yes, I do love him.”

“Do you still love Jimmy?” Lynn asked softly.

Addison turned her head away from everyone, ashamed of her true feelings. “Addison, we’re not going to judge you. I’m just asking…that’s all.”

“Yes, I still love him. Just not what he’s turned out to become. He’s not my Jimmy anymore, he’s someone else entirely,” she whispered.

Maybe it was time for some hard facts; maybe it was time for some hard truths as well. “I want to say something. And I don’t want any of you to take this the wrong way,” she said, trying to put her thoughts together before she said her speech.

“I think it might be time for us to go our separate ways. If Mindy wants to head home, then maybe she should. If Margie wants to stay here, then why can’t she? We’ve done everything together for so long now…but it doesn’t have to be that way,” Addison told them.

Tia grabbed her hand and she was shaking with anxiety. “No, we stay together, Addison!”
