She took three steps, turned right around and took three more. She walked that line a few good times before I called her name softly.
Petra didn’t strike me as someone that paced.
I knew it had to be something big if she was doing it in front of me right now.
“I need to know where this is going,” she said and thank fuck, she stopped pacing.
“Okay,” I said then took in a long breath through my nose. I wasn’t mad. I wasn’t even irritated. I was, however, a little fuckin’ hurt that she didn’t get it by now.
But then I looked at her and everything inside of me softened. It was Petra. She wasn’t like other women. Hell, she wasn’t like other people period.
“What do you need me to say here, Pet?” I asked but wasn’t expecting her to answer. I wasn’t even going to give her a chance to. “You want me to tell you that I’ve never loved another woman the way I love you? You want to hear me say that I never want to love another woman the way that I love you? Or that I don’t even think that I could? Or how about this, I don’t want my fuckin’ life without you in it.”
She gasped. Actually, fucking gasped. Then there was wetness in her eyes and I knew that if she was aware of it that she’d hate it.
But I didn’t.
I was desperate for this part of her and I’d take every second she’d let me in.
“That doesn’t help me, though,” she said then snapped her mouth shut.
“You want the words, baby? I’ll give them to you.” I walked over and pulled her into my arms. She was stiff for a few breaths, but then her body gave in and relaxed against mine. “We are together. Together. As in, there is no one else. I want you by my side and in my bed. I want to take this as far as you’ll let me. And you bet your damn fine ass, that I want to be the man that stands tall behind you.”
“That’s the thing… how far? What do you want?”
“What are you willing to give me?” I tried another direction because whatever she was looking for, I clearly wasn’t saying it. Damn, I was layin’ my heart all out here and it wasn’t doing a fucking thing.
“Is it enough for me to be… yours? What do you expect out of me? Marriage? Children? For me to move in here? How is the woman of a club president supposed to be? Am I expected to be here all the time? Because you know that is not me.”
She blinked and sucked in a slow breath of air.
I could tell she came here with a lot floating around in her head, and I hadn’t been wrong about that.
“Haven’t you figured it out by now, I don’t expect anything of you,” I told her and then placed a light kiss on her forehead. “Yeah, most of the time, the old ladies do a lot of shit around here. Ain’t a requirement and I dare you to find a man down there that would tell you that you gotta do shit.”
She gave me a rare smile at that.
Damn, I loved seeing it.
“The old ladies don’t do it because it’s expected of them. They do it because we’re a family. And I get that you might have a hard time understanding this, but family takes care of one another.” I paused to let my words sink in. “We look out for one another. Just like you look out for your girls and they do their best to take care of you when they can.”
Her head tilted to the side as she thought about it. Petra was a lot like me, she took on the world and didn’t expect people to help her with the burden, even when she was doing it mostly for them. But that was the thing, good people helped to lift you up when you watched their back.
“You need to meet my girls,” she said and her eyes were unfocused as they stared at my shoulder. It was clear she was trying to figure out what would be normal in this type of situation. Or maybe it finally sunk into that head of hers, that I wasn’t goin’ anywhere, and she was thinking of how she could let me into her life a little more.
“I need to meet your girls. As well as those brick walls that live in the shadows of your place,” I softly agreed with her. I had no clue how many bodyguards she had, but I knew there were many. I also had an idea that she cared about them just as much as she cared about anyone under her roof.
“I should get to know your… boys.”
I chuckled.
“My brothers, yes, and their loves too.”
“And you love me and want me,” she said, dragging her eyes to look at mine, finally.
“Yes, Pet. Want you for a long time to come.”
“I don’t want children,” she pretty much blurted out.
“That’s okay.” I chuckled. It wasn’t a surprise to me that she didn’t want children. That one was pretty obvious. “I got enough kids runnin’ around here that I get my fill on.”
“Are you sure that’s enough?”
“I am. Have a feeling some of them will carry on this club and that is what matters to me.”
“And marriage?”
I shrugged.
“Don’t need it as long as I hear you say you’re mine,” I told her with pure honesty in my tone. “Especially if you’re sayin’ it while I’m buried deep inside that sweet pussy.”
Her back stiffened and I tipped my lips up at her in a cocky smirk. She wasn’t mad. She was trying to suppress that shiver that was shaking her spine. Yeah, I knew my woman well.
“Now,” I said as my hand gripped the base of her ponytail and pulled back until her neck stretched tight. “We aren’t gonna go over that shit again. Hear me? You’re mine. I’m not takin’ it back and you are never going to doubt it again. Yeah?”
She tried to nod and I shook my head.
“Let me hear the words, Pet.”
“Yes, I understand.”
“You will never doubt again.” I raised a brow letting her know I wanted her to repeat my words.
“I will never doubt again.” The words fell from her lips almost like a sigh.
My mouth kicked up in a half smile.
“Now I want to hear you scream that you’re mine,” I said as my hand fell away from her hair.
She opened her mouth like she was going to say it, but I shook my head.
“While I’m buried deep inside you, Pet.”
A quick haze fell over her eyes before she blinked it away.
“Yes, Mr. President.”
Oh, fuck, yeah.
I had her legs wrapped around me and her back pressed up against the back of the door in a flash.
“Feel that?” My hips jerked up against her hot core. “Feel how hard you got me? All you.”
She let out a small moan as her lips parted.
“Take me out, Pet. Stroke me good if you want my cock.”
My lips went to her neck as she hurried to undo my buckle and open my pants. I sucked on her tender flesh as she wrapped her long fingers around my hard length. Petra was skilled in many things, even working my cock with her hand.
Her palm harshly rubbed the underside of my head, causing a deep growl to rumble my chest.
“I bet that sweet pussy is wet for me,” I said into her ear. Her body gave into the tiny shudder my words caused. My fingers toyed with the edge of her lace thong. “Fuck, yeah, you are. So fuckin’ wet for me.”
“Iron,” she said through gritted teeth.
I wondered how long it would take to have her begging for it.
Slipping her panties to the side, I cupped her mound. I let my finger dip into her core until I heard her frustrated sigh. Her fingers tightened around my cock as she moved her hand faster up and down my hardness.
Before she could even protest, I pulled my hand from beneath her dress and had her hands pinned against the door above her head.
Her eyes held a fire as she stared into mine. A mix of warning and want.
I held her wrists still with one hand as I gripped my cock with the other.
Her lips went tight and thin as I started rubbing the tip over her clit. Her hips attempted to buck and rock, but my body pinned her in place.
“You need my cock, Pet?”
The flare of her nostrils told m
e she would rather suffer than break and tell me yes.
My lips went to her neck as I continued to tease her pussy, moving my cock back and forth between her folds.
I smiled against her skin when she quietly whimpered my name.
“I want inside that tight pussy, but I’m not going to give in until you tell me you want it,” I breathed into her ear, and then took the lobe between my teeth, biting down slightly.
Her panties were soaked all the way through and every time I moved, the silky lace brushed over the sensitive head of my cock.
I felt her wrists plump in my hand as she balled up her fists. It was all I could do to contain my chuckle.
“Fuck me, now,” she said with a deadly edge to her tone. I had hoped that I’d get to hear her scream it because she was so desperate that she couldn’t help but practically beg for it. Then again, I shouldn’t have expected anything else from my woman.
With one hard thrust, I slammed into her. Her back arched and her eyes fluttered closed.
I pounded into her hard and fast, her pussy already quivering around me.
“Tell me, Pet,” I demanded and my thumb stroked over her clit. For how hard I was fucking her, I made sure to keep my touch light.
Her head pushed against the door as her back tried to arch even more.
“I’m yours. I’m yours!” Her scream was loud and came out strained like she’d tried her best to keep the words from escaping.
“Fuck,” I gritted out as I felt my balls draw up. “I’m gonna fill you up. You’re going to feel my cum dripping out of you for the rest of the day.”
“Do it,” she dared me through clenched teeth.
She wanted that, there was no hiding it, even if she was trying to.
My lips took hers as her pussy clamped down on my cock. I kept pushing my way in and out until I felt my own release give way.
“That’s it, milk my cock. Take it all deep up inside you.”
I slammed into her, shooting the last of my cum deep inside of her where she knew damn well she wanted it.
I released her hands but didn’t pull away. She let out a satisfied sigh as she draped herself around my body.
“Never doubt again,” I whispered as I kissed her forehead.
The tiny nod of her head against my neck was all I needed.
And I fucking smiled as I carried her to the bed and curled up with her on top of the sheets.
CHAPTER FOURTEEN
Petra
Having the whole day off felt strange to me. It had been a few weeks now that I’d let Rowan take over three days a week, but I still found myself uneasy.
That was why I let Iron distract me most of those days.
I wouldn’t say I liked it mostly because it was hard for me to admit those sort of things. So instead, I’d say that he provided a good distraction without fail every time.
I still had a few hours to go until I saw him though. And that was the problem. I didn’t know what to do while I waited. Nor was I the type of person that liked to wait. There were things I could have been doing up until that time but Rowan didn’t like me down there while she was here. She was adamant about me having my time off. I didn’t even think she cared that it drove me crazy to have nothing to do.
I didn’t care what she thought or what she would do, I stepped onto the elevator and hit the button for the fourth floor.
“I wish there was some way I could lock you out of these floors,” Rowan said with a wide smile the moment I stepped into my office.
“That will never happen,” I told her as I went around the desk and glanced at all the screens. Most of the rooms were empty, but I wasn’t surprised.
“Maybe you should pick up a hobby.” Her humorous tone only irritated me. I cut my eyes over to the side and she had the nerve giggle at me. “Gardening. We could set you up a little space behind the back parking lot.”
“Do I strike you as someone that would care about plants and flowers?” I didn’t expect her to say anything back because the answer was clear in my tone.
Rowan laughed as she picked up the tablet and checked over the schedule.
A deep crease formed between her brows as she studied the appointments for the rest of the day.
“What is it?” I asked. There was clearly something wrong.
“Nothing,” she told me with a bright smile. One that I could tell was forced. “Go on. Get out of here and let me do my job.”
She moved to the door and without a glance back, headed out of the room.
I wasn’t happy that she’d brushed me off, especially when I knew something wasn’t right.
Turning my attention to the desk, I took a seat. I was determined to figure out what was off.
A few taps on the keyboard and I had the schedule up on the screen. After I gave it a quick look over, I turned to face the screens again. My eyes first landed on the block that showed the pole room. Aurea was there, wearing a bright yellow bra and a matching thong. Her hair whipped around as she circled the pole. Her client sat there wearing his mask, watching her with his body leaning forward in the chair.
Nothing was unusual there.
I moved onto the Red room, knowing that Indigo was supposed to be in a session with a new client.
She was there. I couldn’t miss the slightly sadistic smile that lit up her face as she flogged the man chained up against the wall. His body jerked with every hit but I wasn’t concerned. There were rules here, and I knew Indigo would follow them. If the man was uncomfortable, he would use his safe word and she would instantly stop.
I moved my gaze to the Blue room on the fifth floor. Varda was on the bed, her fingers working her clit frantically while Mr. Virgo stood at the side of the bed. Her face displayed the pleasure she was feeling right now and her eyes were greedy as she watched his hand move up and down his cock.
I checked the time, knowing that the first two sessions would be winding down shortly. Mr. Virgo often booked a double time slot, so I knew that Varda still had an hour to go.
Then I looked at the Green room on the fourth floor.
I leaned forward as I noticed it was empty.
Midori should have been in there setting up for her first client of the night by now.
My eyes narrowed. This wasn’t like her. She was always ready and on time. She knew I didn’t like to keep clients waiting and she shouldn’t either. People paid good money to use my services and though I knew they wouldn’t take their business elsewhere— because there was nowhere to take it— they could request to be put with someone else. None of the girls wanted that unless they felt uncomfortable. And that was a whole different problem to handle.
I rose to my feet. I didn’t doubt that was what had Rowan rushing out of the room. While I knew she was doing her best to handle it, I wasn’t the type of person to sit back once I knew there was a problem.
I headed for the dressing room only to find Rowan walking out with a frustrated look on her face.
“Where is she?” I said with an edge to my tone.
“I don’t know,” she told me with a scared shake of her head. “Ciara and Royse said they haven’t seen her all day. I was about to go up and knock on her door.”
“I’ll do it,” I told her sharply. “Let Garen know what is happening. You go down and distract Mr. Ice. If I can’t find her, I will explain it to him myself.”
She nodded and I knew I didn’t need to tell her how to handle it from there.
My feet clicked back to the elevator and I rode it up.
I knocked on Midori’s apartment door not all that softly.
When I received no reply, I knocked again.
Not waiting any longer, I used my code to open her door.
A quick search told me that she wasn’t here.
Her purse and keys were gone from beside the door but nothing else looked out of place. Her clothes were still in the closet. Her toiletries were all lined up in the bathroom. Even her makeup was sitting out like she’d taken the time to pu
t it on for the day.
Perhaps she went out to get lunch or coffee and was late returning.
However, something told me it wasn’t that.
I walked out of her apartment, my phone to my ear.
It rang and rang until it turned over to her voicemail.
I tried again only to receive the same outcome.
I stepped back into my office to see Garen standing there with a harder look than normal tightening his face.
“Rowan’s at the bar with Mr. Ice,” he told me right away not wasting any time. “I tried to call Midori, but it went to voicemail.”
“Same here. She’s not upstairs. When was the last time anyone saw her?”
“Last night,” he said with a sigh. “I walked her to the elevator and that was it. Everyone else had gone for the night. I’m not sure if anyone has seen her today.”
“Go find out,” I said sternly.
“Yes, ma’am.”
He left and I went around the desk and took a seat.
Starting with the first-floor cameras, I searched for any signs of her.
She was easy enough to find. Checking the time stamp, I saw that she’d left the building five hours ago.
I forwarded through the feed until it cut off, letting me know that it was now caught up to the present time. She hadn’t returned.
I once again went back to watch as she left.
Hitting a key on the keyboard, I paused the image of her stepping out of the elevator. There was a look on her face that wasn’t normal and if I wasn’t mistaken, fear in her eyes.
Garen walked through the door and I already knew that he didn’t find out anything.
“Find out where she’s been today. Find me where she is right now,” I told him as I got to my feet.
With a nod, he headed back out.
I followed behind him. There was no sense in sitting there while I waited for him to get me what I wanted. I knew it would take a few minutes.
And I had a client to deal with.
“Mr. Ice,” I said as I approached where he and Rowan were sitting at the bar.
“Miss Novak,” he returned as he took a sip of his drink that I knew Rowan had ordered for him in order to ease the situation.
