Stryker's Salvation (A Savage Saints MC Book 3)

“What makes you think he’d listen to me?” Holly’s voice trembles with fear.
“Because I see the way my son looks at you and watches you. Find a way to get him there.” The man commands. He walks off the porch and disappears around the corner. That voice sounds familiar, but I can’t place who it is.
I walk around the side of the porch, trying to get a look at him, but he’s gone like he never was here. What the fuck is going on? Holly turns on shaky legs and walks back into the Clubhouse. I discreetly follow, trying to figure out who that was. I watch as Holly heads into the kitchen and I head back to the communications room.
The screen is beeping at me, telling me someone has been in here while I was gone. Shit, this isn’t good. I have hacker programs set up to stop anyone from opening files I have on here and will alert me when someone tries.
I sit down at the computer chair and click away, trying to find what the person was looking for. I have everything from when Poison first came here and the issues with The Black Destroyers to Blayde and his ex Monica and her brothers club The Royal Bastards. Siren and her father Reaper. Along with our dirt on Kingston and moving his money, bleeding him dry. And now the info on Stryker’s past, Karl Maverick and his gang. After a few minutes of searching, I found the files they were trying to access. I open them and images of Stryker when he was a kid pops up on the screen. Who and why would they want this? It’s not making sense.
The alarm I have set up goes off and my eyes turn to the CCV cameras installed at the dance studio, bar, repair shop and here. I scan each camera looking for what’s triggered the alarm. Figures dressed in black are surrounding the repair shop where a few of our prospect are along with Texas, Butch and Tatt.
I jump out of my seat and head for Church. I bust through the door, interrupting the meeting Kayne, Blayde and Stryker are having. Their eyes land on me in confusion.
“We’ve got to go, now,” I tell them.
Kayne stands up, “What’s going on?”
“Someone’s surrounding the repair shop. A few prospects along with Texas, Tatt and Butch are in there.”
Kayne pulls out his phone, dialing one of them while we all hurry out of Church. We pass Ace, Duke, Maddox and Talon lounging in the living room, giving some Patch Whores their attention. I don’t see Alyssa anywhere and that worries me, but my focus has to be on the Club first.
“Let’s go now. There’s trouble at the repair shop.” I bark at them and hurry out the front door. I’m on my bike in a flash. Firing it up, Kayne does the same and takes the lead followed by Blayde and Stryker behind him, me and Ace, Maddox and Talon, then Duke bringing up the rear. We ride fast, eating up the pavement, trying to get to our brothers in trouble as quick as we can. I send up a silent prayer to the Biker God’s that they look out for our unsuspecting brothers and keep them safe until we get there.
Chapter 9
Stryker
Adrenaline is pumping through my veins as we ride as fast as we can towards the repair shop. I knew this would happen. My dark and dirty past is coming and I’m powerless to stop it. My brothers are caught in the crosshairs.
My grip tightens on the handlebars and the darkness I try to lock away is pounding against my head assaulting my mind. The teasing and taunting I endured growing up are rattling around until I feel like I will lose my sanity.
Kayne brakes in front of me and slows down a quarter of a mile away from the repair shop. I push the memories back and try to lock them back away. We follow suit and pull off to the side of the road. I dismount my bike and clench my fists at my sides, pacing back and forth.
“Alright, listen up. Here’s what we’re going to do. Our bikes will announce our arrival so we’re going in on foot from here. Silence from here on out. We go in hard and fast, take no mercy on these assholes. Kill everyone you come across. They just fucked with the wrong MC.” Kayne’s voice is deadly and there’s a glint in his eyes. He’s been itching to shed some blood like the rest of us. “I haven’t been able to get ahold of Butch or anyone else inside. Let’s hope for the best but expect the worst.”
Kayne approaches me and looks into my eyes. “You good, brother?”
“I’m ready. Let’s put these fuckers to bed.”
He nods his head and together we all make our way to the repair shop. We pass a black SUV parked next to the repair shop, empty. The dark night surrounds us and the quiet makes my sixth sense go on high alert. I spot a shadow in the woods and I signal to Kayne. He sees them too and signals us to stand down while he checks it out. He approaches the figure in the woods and together they come back. What the actual fuck is he doing here?
Reaper comes out of the shadows. His long dark hair is pulled back in a low braid and he’s carrying a long machete. They approach us and Reapers black eyes stare at me, waiting for me to say something. I keep my mouth shut and squeeze my fists tight. No fucking way will I give him a courtesy hello. Fuck that.
Kayne approaches the back door holding his .45 caliber at chest level and turns the doorknob. It gives way underneath his hand. Silently we all file into the storage room in the back of the repair shop. It’s pitch black and no one knows we’re here. Heavy breathing fills the room. Kayne takes the lead creeping towards the door that separates us from the bay.
The silence is driving me insane. The need for action is overtaking all other rational thoughts. I push my way past Kayne and open the door separating us from our brothers. The bays are dark and quiet. I spot a body lying in the middle of the open bay and approach it quickly. I know I’m being careless but I need to know what the fuck is happening.
I turn the body over and a deep sigh escapes my throat. It’s not one of ours. He’s wearing a black ski mask, hoodie and jeans. I check for a pulse and shake my head at Kayne. This man is dead.
A loud thump followed by a grunt pierces the darkness and I whip my head in the direction it came in. Another body is lying face down, dressed like the other one.
“Butch?” I call out into the darkness.
“Stryker?” Butch calls back.
“Someone turn on a light,” Kayne demands. Shuffling feet approach as flashlights shine around us. Butch, Texas and Tatt appear in the lights. “Duke and Ace go check the power outside. Get this place lit back up. Watch your backs out there.”
“On it, Prez,” Duke responds. They leave the way we came in.
“What the fuck happened? I’ve been trying to call you since the attack,” Kayne’s trying to keep his composure but the fury in his deadly blue eyes is unmistakable.
“My phone broke in the fight,” Butch responds.
“They thought they’d get the drop on us, but one of the prospects had to take a piss and went outside. He spotted them coming and the rest is history.” Texas’s southern drawl is shaky full of adrenaline. Smoothing his black bolo tie, I notice a slight tremor in his hands. He quickly shakes it off and composes himself before anyone else notices.
“Damn, I was hoping for some blood tonight,” I grumble crossing my arms over my chest. Everyone stares at me with wide eyes. “What? It’s been a while since I’ve been able to perfect my skills.”
“Bro, what the hell’s wrong with you?” Rooster asks, shaking his head. He’s trying not to laugh at my pouting but can’t hold it in.
“OK, enough.” Kayne’s voice booms across the repair shop. “Let’s find out who these fuckers are that thought they’d attack my Club.”
The lights flicker on and the room lights up in a harsh glow. I shield my eyes until they adjust to the assault. I hear the metal door next to the bay slam shut. Duke and Ace come strolling back in.
“They shut the power off like you suspected, Prez. Who are these assholes?” Ace asks, kicking the first body we came across with the toe of his boot.
“That’s what we’re going to find out,” Kayne responds walking over to the body below Ace. He bends down and yanks the ski mask off.
Lifeless brown eyes stare back at us and Blayde’s face pales. “You
’ve got to be fucking kidding me,” Blayde roars. He’s pacing back and forth along the mechanic’s bay, his feet heavy with each step. His hands are trembling with pent up rage. “I thought you killed them all when Drex attacked the Clubhouse.”
“We did, we got all three of them that came in with Drex,” Duke speaks up, confusion etched on his face.
“There was four, asshole.” Blayde’s voice rings through the shop and everyone stops moving. Kayne’s eyes widen with panic and he yanks his phone out of his pocket.
“Fuck! She isn’t answering,” Kayne’s face turns murderous. “Try Siren or Holly. Fuck, this isn’t good.”
Blayde pulls his phone out of his pocket, dialing Siren and I’m just standing here like an idiot. I don’t have Holly’s number if she even has a phone. The voices come rearing back at me full throttle and I succumb to the taunts.
You’ll never be good enough.
You’re a monster.
You’re a worthless piece of shit.
You’re just like your father.
My eyes snap to the man hanging back in the shadows. He seems to show up everywhere and I wonder why. Is he in on this with Kingston and thinks we won’t suspect him? Why does he show up when trouble prevails? What the fuck does he want?
I stalk my way over to Reaper ready to end this little fucking game he’s playing. A hand settles on my shoulder, halting my movements.
“Don’t.” One word from Blayde has me stopping myself from ripping Reapers head off and spitting down his throat.
Does he know?
Does Siren know?
Fuck, this is so messed up. These secrets are killing me and I’m losing myself to the darkness every time I keep my mouth shut.
“None of the girls are answering. We need to go, now.” Kayne roars.
My pulse is pounding in my ears, blood rushing to my head. This isn’t the time to succumb to the darkness surrounding me, but if anything’s happened to Holly, I will never come back.
“Stryker keep it together until we know for sure what’s going on,” Blayde tries to calm me. There’s something he isn’t saying and it’s pissing me the fuck off.
“Come on, our women are in trouble and we’re just standing here with our dicks in our hands while Kingston does whatever he wants to them.” I head to the repair bay doors in a few quick strides, yanking it open hard. It bangs against the wall with a loud thud. I’m running to my bike as fast as I can go, trying to shove the voices back inside my head.
I mount my bike and fire her up. The deep vibration of my Harley settles the voices and I ride off into the night with everyone behind me. Fuck waiting. Fuck formation. My woman could be in trouble and I’m not standing around with my thumb up my ass, waiting for the dreadful phone call.
Kayne and Blayde catch up to me and together the three of us ride side by side hitting a top speed of one hundred miles an hour. It’s dangerous going this fast so late at night, but the three of us are beyond caring. Not when it comes to our women.
We make it to the road our Clubhouse is on and slow down to take the turn. Dread fills my stomach at what we will find. Are the girls really Ok? Are they sitting around watching T.V. doing girly shit or are they hurt, scared and confused?
We pull down the driveway and the contents in my stomach are threating to appear. Bile’s burning its way up my throat at what we might find. Kayne parks his bike and jumps off, not waiting for anyone. Blayde and I do the same. Together the three of us stomp onto the porch, the wood creaking under our weight. The front door is shut and Kayne slams it open.
“Poison?” He shouts into the room. No answer. The house is deadly silent as we separate, checking each room, looking for the girls.
“Siren?” Blayde yells into each room he’s searching.
“Holly?” I shout.
Once we clear the house, we meet back in the living room. Kayne is dialing Poison’s cell phone. I wander out the back door, heading toward the garage. A faint song pierces the silent night, coming from the garage.
“Kayne!” I shout, heading to the garage.
I yank the door open, slamming it against the frame. I stop dead in my tracks. Kayne rams into me, shoving me out of the way. The sight before me sends my rage into full throttle and the darkness I battle with every day overcomes my mind. There’s no coming back from what I’m seeing and I succumb to the evil I know I’m capable of.
Chapter 10
Holly
Stryker and the rest of the MC just left in a hurry. Something about an emergency somewhere so it’s just Poison, Siren, Alyssa, me and a couple of Patch Whores lingering around. Alyssa comes breezing into the living room and walks out the door. She didn’t stay long after the guys left. I wonder where she’s going.
My head is still reeling from the realization I’ve come to about Reaper. How do I approach Stryker with this information? Does he even know? Does he want to know? I ball up the paper in my hand from an address Reaper gave me. That dude gives me the chills. Not in a good way either. I know he’s Siren’s father, but the way he acts, hiding in the shadows and appears out of nowhere, is really creepy.
I make my way into the kitchen and throw the piece of paper away in the trash. There’s no way I’m sending Stryker to this address. Not tonight. I grab one of my water bottles from the refrigerator and sit down at the island. I’m the only one who drinks water around here so all the bottles are mine. Kayne has a prospect pick them up especially for me. I uncap the bottle and put it up to my lips, letting the cool liquid splash over my tongue, down my throat.
“She’s still here?” The voice of the nasty bitch, Candy comes floating into the kitchen. Her hooker heels tap against the tile floor followed by another set of heels.
Anger swells inside my chest but I tamp it down and remain seated on the bar stool, ignoring them. They’re only jealous little bitches who will do anything to bring someone down to their level. They don’t know the first thing about class. They only know how to go down on a brother or bend over for them. No one respects them or even wants to make them their Ol’ Lady. They’re only here to get a lonely dick wet but these skanks don’t see that. They think they run this place and it’s grating on my nerves.
“Bitch, you need to step off,” Candy spins me around on the bar stool and puts her nasty tits in my face. “Stryker has been mine, not yours. Besides, what could you possibly offer him with your disfigured body? I’ll bet he has to keep the lights off so he doesn’t throw up all over you and only wants to fuck one way. Stryker isn’t the type of man to want it vanilla, you washed-up whore.” She shoves her fake tits right in my face. How easy it would be to grab one and yank that fucker off. Oh my lord, what is wrong with me? Why am I thinking about these hurtful things?
“I’ll bet he can’t even feel her when he’s balls deep.” This comes from the other Patch Whore, Bambi. She fucked Stryker too. I’m surprised they’re together. Something weird is going on. These two hate each other as much as they hate me. I don’t respond to either of them. I spin back around on the stool and ignore both. Taking another drink of my water, the bottle flies from my hand and lands on the island with a thump, water spilling all over. This is the first time Candy has balls to do more than talk. Talking I can handle. Talking doesn’t scare me. It’s the violence that follows that has my knees trembling.
Candy leans in close. Close enough I can smell her cheap perfume covering up her nasty odor. Close enough I see the cheap makeup layered on her fake face and her cheap lipstick faintly staining her teeth. “Here, take this and do us all a favor,” Candy whispers. Her breath is hot against my cheek reeking of booze and stale cigarettes. I look down at the palm she has open and the glint of a razor blade stares back at me. How in the hell does she know? “Come on, take it. You know you want too.”
Candy lifts her palm closer to my face and my heart is thudding hard against my chest. “It’s the only way to stop your suffering. One last time. One last cut can end it all.”
Tears are welli
ng in my eyes and one trails down my cheek. I stare at the metal in the palm of her hand. My limbs are numb and my lips are tingling. Something is really, really wrong. I lift my shaking hand toward what used to be my salvation, that’s now my struggle. Before I can touch it and give in to her words, a sharp deadly voice comes from behind us.
“What in the fuck are you doing?” Poison steps into the kitchen. Her hazel eyes are pinning Candy to her spot. Her riding boots are heavy with each step she takes towards us.
“Nothing you need to worry about. We’re just having a little chat.” Candy replies. Her voice is trembling with fear. That snaps me out of my trance and I shove Candy away from me. Her hooker heels wobble and she lands on her ass with a thud and a cry of pain. “Bitch, you’re going to pay for that.”
“Slut, please. I’ll fuck you up,” Poison is on her in a flash. Her heavy boot connects with Candy’s stomach. She kicks her hard enough, I want to throw up. Bambi tries to sneak up behind Poison. Suddenly there’s another body behind Bambi, pulling her back by her dark hair. She squeals out in protest.
Siren has ahold of Bambi by her scalp, making her get on her knees. “I’ve told both of you to leave Holly alone. Stryker made his choice and it wasn’t either of you sluts. All you’re good for is getting a dick wet. You’ll never be one of us.”
Poison and Siren share a look before Siren throws Bambi across the room. She hits the wall with a thud and curls up into a ball. These two work fast together. Fists fly, hair pulls, screams pierce the silent room. I bring my trembling knees up to my chest, balance on the stool and tuck my head. I can’t see it. I’m terrified and I don’t want to be anymore. I don’t want to walk around with fear in my heart, jumping at every little noise. I want to take back the control they took away from me. I want to stand up for myself but I’m afraid. I’m afraid if I do, I’ll turn into a monster I won’t recognize.
“Holly,” Poison gently says my name. I pick my head up and look. “You don’t have to do anything, but if you don’t, they’re just going to keep coming at you. You have a decision to make.” She grips Candy’s hair and forces her up on her knees. Blood and snot are running down Candy’s face, her mascara is trailing black tracks down her cheeks. Poison really fucked her up. “You can either let her go with no more harm or you can take back control and show this whore Stryker is yours. What’s it going to be?”
