“What time do we plan on going? I think six a.m. so we can get an early start and hopefully be able to head back to Ohio,” I ask, looking over to the others.

“Why do you get to say what time we go? Sal’s in charge,” Sally says. You have got to be kidding me.

Laughing, shaking my head. “I don’t know who you think you are. But Sal’s not in charge. I don’t know why you would even believe that. Sal, did you tell her that?" I’m starting to get mad. I don’t need to go through this shit again. Mack doesn’t say anything.

“Even when we were sleeping together, you still were not in charge,” I say with venom in my voice. I notice the look Sally gives Sal and almost laugh out loud. “You guys go with us and come to Ohio, I’m in charge period. It is my house, my rules and if you have any problems with that don’t come. I couldn't care less either way.” I stop talking and look at everyone sitting at the table. Sal is pissed, I can tell. Well, truth finally comes out. He just wanted power. The other two guys are talking quietly and Sally looks on the verge of crying. I really don’t give a shit. Shaking my head, I look over at Mack and he’s just shaking his head and grinning with his arms crossed over his chest. I know he will back me up. He always has.

Pushing back from the table, I head to the family room and look out the window. The zombies are still milling around and I doubt they will be gone by tomorrow. Moving over to the couch, I plop down and stretch my legs out in front of me. My knee is a bit sore. Mack comes in and sits next to me and puts his arm around me.

  “You OK, Egypt?" he says.

Looking up at him. “Yea just my knee bothering me a little.” I turn and put my legs over his and lean back. God, this feels good. I am too tense. Smiling at Mack, I love his dark brown eyes.

“I know what will make you feel better,” he says, then starts rubbing my knee. God, it is like dying and going to heaven. The others walk in and sit in the family room. Tara grabs a game and starts to play with it. Todd and Dan walk over and kneel in front of us.

"We’re going with you, Egypt. Mack told us how it is. We would love to help out any way we can if you’ll have us. We just want a place where we can live and be safe, and if that means you’re in charge, then that’s just fine with us,” Todd says, smiling.

Looking over at them. “We will talk about it all tomorrow, right now I'm headed upstairs.”

They nod and do the same. Standing up, I look over at Sal and tell him goodnight. I do not even bother with Sally

“Mack?” I don’t have to say anything else Mack gets up and picks me up. Laughing, I look over before hitting the stairs and I can see Sal. He looks pissed. I do not care. He made his bed, not me. Getting to the top of the stairs Mack asks me which way. I just point and we make our way there. He opens the door and steps inside. He shuts the door behind us and sits me down in a chair. Looking up at him I ask, “Will you stay with me tonight?”

Mack grins at me. “I’ll stay with you every night, Egypt, from here on out. As long as you want me,” he whispers to me.

He walks out onto the balcony, looking around outside. Standing up, I make my way to the bathroom. I need a shower and who knows when the next time I can get one. Turning on the shower, I wait for the water to heat up. Looking up at the shower head, it’s one of those that makes it rain. Oh this is going to feel incredible. Taking off my clothes, I toss them on the floor. They are dirty anyways. Feeling the water one more time, I let my hair down and walk in.

The water runs down my body, before moving forward to let it run down my face. Grabbing the shampoo, I start washing my hair. With that done, I shave my legs. Putting my head back, I let the water run over me. Feeling a cold draft I look over to the door. It is kind of hard seeing through the glass of the shower with all the steam. Mack has come in. He takes off his clothes as I turn and face the shower. I know I’m blushing.

Mack slowly opens the shower door, but I do not turn around. He comes up behind me and wraps his arms around my waist. He bends down a little and kisses my ear. Running his tongue down my neck, he slowly comes back up. Turning my head a little he catches my lips with his. Turning around in his arms I wrap my mine around his neck. He deepens the kiss. I open my mouth so that I can taste him. With our tongues playing with each other, I cannot seem to get enough of him. Breaking off the kiss, I slowly make my way down his chest with my mouth. He leans up against the side of the shower, taking me with him.

Dropping down on my knees, I take him in my mouth. Mack gasps and tenses up. My mouth has a mind of its own. I take him as far as I can. Sucking harder, I get my rhythm. My hand moves and cups his balls, squeezing a little. I start to play with the head. My tongue moves over him. I feel his hand grab me by the hair and he pushes my head forward making me take him all the way into my mouth. Slowly, my hands wrap around and hold onto his firm ass. Squeezing, I suck even harder. I feel him get harder in my mouth. I feel my juices running down the inside if my thigh. I feel him tense and he grabs me and pulls me up to him.

Yanking my hair back so that my neck is exposed, he bends down and starts sucking and biting. Moaning, I move in close so that our bodies are touching. I can feel how hard his dick is against my stomach. He moves back up and looks me in the eyes. “Egypt, are you sure?” he says as his hand drops between my legs. He moans as he feels the wetness there.

My breathing hitches grabbing him tighter. “I’m sure Mack, please,” I beg.

Growling, he lifts me up and I wrap my legs around him. He pushes me up against the wall growling in my ear, “I’m sorry, but I can’t be gentle.” Moaning, I kiss him harder because I know I can’t talk. He takes his hand between us and puts his cock to my opening, looking me in the eyes. I think he says he is sorry and suddenly slams into me.

“Ah God, Mack," I say. He does not move so that I can get used to him. Bending, he takes my nipple into his mouth, sucking hard. He moves back up to my mouth and he starts moving inside me slow at first, then he picks up the pace slamming all the way into me. It jars me into the shower wall. Grabbing his hair, I hold on. Moaning, I look up into his eyes and I see the raw desire there. Bending down, he starts kissing me. I know I am close. I bite his lower lip and he growls.

“Mack," I say breathlessly. Squeezing my legs tighter, I come, yelling his name. He grips me tighter and slams into me harder, I know that he is about to explode. Biting my neck, he pushes in one last time and stays there. I can feel him jerking and know that he has finished.

We stay that way for a while, letting our breathing go back to normal. He slowly lets me down, my legs are like jello. But he doesn’t let me go entirely, he grabs the body wash and starts cleaning me. Leaning back into him, I let him run his hands over my body. When he is done, I grab the pouf and start on him. This I could have for the rest of my life. The contours of his body are amazing. He is hard again and I giggle. He turns off the shower and we get out. Wrapping a towel around me, I head into the bedroom.

There is a nice gentle breeze coming through the open doors. Mack walks over and lights a few candles and turns off the lights.

“Let’s go to bed, Egypt,” he says with a wicked grin on his face. Looking over at the bed, I about have a heart attack. Mack’s laying on the bed naked. I know from just the look in his eyes I am not going to get any sleep tonight. Walking over, I straddle him, wrapping my arms around his neck I start kissing him and being none too gentle. You see two can play at that game. I grind into him and I feel that he is already hard for me.

“Keep that up, baby, and I’ll have you again,” he growls. Taking my hand slowly, I grab his dick and start rubbing. Looking into his eyes, I know I am playing with fire. He grabs me by my hips and lifts me up. He positions me so that I am on my knees facing the headboard. Looking behind me he’s grinning and tells me to hold on the headboard. He comes up behind me and takes me from behind. It is like the first time—rough. He enters me in one quick thrust that takes my breath way. His hands wrap around and he grabs my breasts squeezing them gently. He
takes my nipples he rubs them between his fingers. Moaning, I start rocking back into him. He groans and says.

“Egypt, you’re so fucking wet, I just can’t get deep enough.” He grabs a fist full of my hair and pulls. I can’t hold out any longer, screaming out his name, I come. The headboard is hitting the wall so hard that I am sure we are waking up whoever is sleeping in the next room. He thrusts a few times more and collapses on top of me. He moves me around a little so that I am cuddled up next to him with my head on his chest.

  Chapter 13

Hearing a knock at the door, I start to wake up. Neither one of us moves to get the door. After a few minutes, Sal comes barging in. Mack quickly covers me up, I just snuggle closer to him.

“What do you want, Sal?” Mack asks. Looking up towards the door I roll my eyes.

I grumble, “Go away, Sal.” I hear Mack laughing next to me.

“We will be leaving in a few hours, so I figured you’d like to shower and eat something,” Sal says. Looking over again, I see that he’s clenching his fists to his side. Why does he look so pissed? He leaves and shuts the door harder than he needs to.

Mack shifts a bit to sit up against the headboard. “How you feeling this morning, Egypt?” he asks.

I groan, “Like a bus hit me!” I punch him in the arm and he laughs. “I bet I can’t walk right,” I say acting mad.

Mack starts laughing, looking over at him he has a smug grin on his face. “I guess that’s what happens when you do it six times in a night." I go to say something, but he gets up and pulls me with him. He gives me a gentle kiss and whispers, “That’s what happens when a man loves you all night long, Egypt.” He smacks me on my ass and tells me to go take a shower. Looking up, I glare at him but go and grab my bag and head into the shower. I know it will help with the aches that I have. Or at least I hope it will.

Leaving the door open, I start the water. While waiting, I brush my teeth. Looking out the door, Mack is already dressed and heading out the door. I hurry up and jump in and do what I have to do. Jumping out, I dry off and get dressed. Brushing out my hair, I put it up in a ponytail, throw some eyeliner on and grab my bag and head out the door. Walking down the hallway, I hear everyone downstairs already. Halfway down the stairs I sit, today's going to be chaos. I mean it has to be, we are going to the city and it has to be far worse than what we have seen so far. At the end of this day we should be heading home.

Mack walks into the living room, looking up at me he takes the stairs two at a time and sits down. Wrapping his arm around me, I lean in snuggling my face into his neck. Taking a deep breath, I wish we could go back upstairs. He tugs on my ponytail.

“What’s up, Egypt? You look deep in thought,” he asks. Grabbing my chin, he makes me look him in the eyes.

I let out a breath. “Just that today is going to be crazy, we’ve seen hordes here in the country and were going into the city,” I say.

Nodding his head, he looks at the door leading into the kitchen. I follow his gaze and hear the others talking quietly.

“It’s going to be bad that’s for sure, but we need those meds. Egypt, please stay close today,” he says.

“You don’t have to ask me twice,” I say smiling. “Plus, I’m a bit sore so don’t know how fast I’ll be.” Laughing at him I lace our fingers together.

"Wait ‘til tonight if you think you’re sore now," he says with a grin on his face. He stands up and pulls me with him. Grabbing my hips, he pulls me in for a kiss. And I have to say is it is amazing.

Breaking away and looking up at him I say, “Keep that up and were going back upstairs.”

Squeezing my hand, I see that he is trying not to laugh. “By the way, watch out for Sal. He’s on a rampage. I’d say he knows about us. He’ll get over it,” he says.

Rolling my eyes, I squeeze his hand and we make our way down the stairs. Heading into the kitchen everyone looks over at us. Sal is by the sink looking pissed. Dan and Todd are grinning from ear to ear. And Sally is her usual self and looking anywhere but our way. I do not think we will ever get along and it is not on me this time. I do not have anything against the girl.

Walking in I sit down and Mack gets me something to eat, along with coffee. Man, I really need it this morning. Looking up, Sal is staring at me. Moving a little in my seat, I start eating. I cannot help what he is going through. Everyone makes small talk and I am happy to stay out of it. Mack comes over and sits down. Looking over at him, I am happy, really happy. I really wish we did not have to go on this run. If anything happens to him, I do not know what I would do. Seeing that I am done eating, he takes my plate and throws it away.

“OK, guys, let’s get packed up and ready to move out. Try and refrain from using guns unless you have to,” I say looking around the room. “Just so you all know, I think it’s a really a bad idea for Sally to bring Tara with us. You all know as well as I do that it’s no play for a kid.” I know I have just opened up a can of worms, but it needed to be said. I see Sally tense up.

“Egypt, it’s not your business what I do or don’t do, so you can just fuck off. She’s not your kid,” Sally says. I stand while grabbing ahold of the table so I don’t go over and punch her.

“You’re right, Sally. She’s not mine if she were, I’d be staying somewhere safe not taking her to an overrun city with zombies. Her safety should come first!” Getting up, I look at the others I can see that they think the same way. Heading to the door, I open it and start to head out. But before I can get out, I hear her say, “And stay away from Sal, you bitch!”

Whipping around, I almost run right into Sal laughing “He’s the one apparently following me you idiot.”

Sal grabs me by the arm and leads me outside and shuts the door behind us. Moving my hand, I make sure that I have my gun and knife. Looking around, it is silent out here this morning. The sun is up and not a cloud in the sky. It is going to be a hot one today. Walking over to the picnic table, I toss my pack up and sit down.

Running my hands down my face, I really don’t need this right now. Letting out a breath, I look up at Sal he’s looking around and finally comes over and sits next to me. “What’s up Sal?” I grab a bottled water while I’m waiting for him to say something.

He grabs my hand, “Just stay close to one of us today, Egypt. It’s going to be bad out there today, I just don’t have a good feeling about this,” he says. Shaking my head he doesn’t have the right to tell me what to do anymore.

Pushing off the table I push his hand off mine. “Don’t worry about me, watch out for Tara since Sally seems to not be able to. And while you’re at it keep her on a leash.” Not waiting for him to say something back, I head to the truck and open up the door to throw my pack in. I hear a noise behind me and turn to look. It is Mack coming out with the rest of our things.

He stops in front of Sal and I am not going over there. They are going to have to work it out on their own. Sal and I still have some talking to do, just not now. Leaning on the truck, I watch them for a while. The argument seems to be getting heated. Dan and Todd come out and walk over to where I am at. I smile at them. “Todd, still riding with us?”

The house door shuts and Sally and Tara are walking over to the guys. She is smiling and flirty. She puts her hand on Mack’s arm. He stops talking and takes her hand off his arm he says something to her and she seems to not like what he said. Shaking my head, I turn and hop in the truck. Todd gets in the back and makes himself comfortable.

Looking over at the guys. “Let’s get a move on,” I yell looking over at the guys. I put the keys in and start the truck. You can hear the moaning again. That was fast. Mack opens up the driver’s side and jumps in. He turns and puts his pack and the gear in the back. He throws the truck in gear and we head out. Looking down the road I see the zombies coming. We will not be seeing them anymore. We will not be coming back to this place ever.

“Hey, Mack, how far do we have to go til we get there?”

Looking over at him he is lo
oking at a map. “I’d say half hour maybe a little bit more," he says. Looking in the back Todd is just staring out the window, what else is there really to do.

“Mack, have you tried to get hold of anyone at the house?"

“Yeah I have, but the cells aren’t working anymore, Egypt. We can try when we get closer to home with the CB, Nate put it in right before we left to come find you,” he says.

Looking out the window, I see a cell phone tower. “I guess we have to expect things to stop working, get used to it, and move on. At some point it’s all going to go, we’re going to have to learn to survive.”

  Chapter 14

We start driving into the city, the houses are getting closer and businesses are beginning to pop up everywhere. Looking around, things are burnt to the ground. People, what is left of them, are laying everywhere on the ground. Animals are running loose with not a care in the world. The zombies that are milling around don’t seem to even notice them. At least, not yet anyways.

The windows in the stores are broken out, doors wide open. It looks like a bomb has gone off on the left side of the road. Mack has to maneuver around cars that are abandoned on the street. Looking over at Mack I notice his face is set in stone. He stops the truck and I look to see why. There is a school bus sideways on the street. Looking closer, there’s blood on the windows. Opening the door, I jump out and make my way to the bus. I can hear Mack yelling at me, but I cannot stop. Stopping a few feet away, I am afraid of what I will see. It is an elementary bus. Mack gets to me and grabs me by my shoulders

  “Egypt, don’t.”

Looking over at him, shaking my head, I say “I have to, Mack.”

He lets go of me and I start walking towards the bus. Looking behind, I see everyone is out of their trucks. Turning around, I stop when I am at the bus. Looking at the windows I see tiny, bloody little hand prints. Raising my hand, I trace them. Breathing hard, I see how tiny they are, they did not even stand a chance. What it must have been like for them. So afraid and alone. Wiping the tears off my face, I walk to the other side of the bus. Slowly, I make my way to the door. Opening it, I walk up the three steps and onto the bus. Looking at the bus driver, she is bent over the steering wheel with the side of her face chewed off. There is seat after seat of dead little kids.
