Within Miles

“I’m such an idiot. Tell me I’m an idiot.” He whispered against my mouth.

“You’re an idiot Miles Taylor, dancer slash architect.” I whispered back to him. I could feel him smile on my skin.

“You are so beautiful Thea Farris, cattle rancher. I will pick you up at ten tomorrow morning. Wear something comfortable.” He kissed me again but on the cheek this time.

  “Goodnight Miles.” I said

“Goodnight lovely cattle rancher.” He replied.

  Opening Up

  Day 3

I woke up to the sound of pounding at my hotel door. I looked at the clock on my phone. It was eight in the morning. I had slept the whole night without the help of meds or alcohol. I smiled to myself. Maybe Vegas was my awakening, my road to recovery, or maybe it was Miles. Our kiss last night had been one for the record books, sloppy, yet sensual, hungry yet sweet, all consuming. The only other guy I had ever kissed was Alex and even with him, I never felt the desire I felt with Miles.

“Thea MaryAnn Farris, you open this door right now!” Anna shouted from the hallway. What the hell? Where was her key? I threw the covers off and slipped on a hotel robe. I had slept in the nude last night, which I never did. I didn’t want my pajamas getting in the way of me fantasizing about Miles’ hands on my body. I had not only one but two mind-blowing orgasms after he had left last night. I couldn’t imagine what it would feel like if he were giving them to me instead of myself.

“I’m coming!” I yelled back to her. I unlocked the door and swung it open. Six pairs of eyes all staring at me.

“Where is he?” Erin asked, as she peeked in my room.

“He’s not here.” I simply answered. Anna pushed her way past me and looked around the room.

“Well it doesn’t smell like hot sweaty sex in here, so you didn’t fuck him?” She asked putting her hands on her hips. I gestured for the twins to enter my room.

“Where’s Angie?” I asked, not really caring where the bitch was.

“She went down to the casino. I don’t think she wanted to find you in bed with Mr. Sex on a stick. I think she’s jealous.” Cassie said, plopping herself on the unmade bed.

“So where is he?” Anna asked, looking impatient.

“I don’t know. He took me to dinner last night and dropped me off here.” I said innocently.

Anna scoffed. “Really and you didn’t have sex with him?”

“No” I answered quickly. “He’s picking me up at ten for a tour of the city.” I said picking up my bag and going through my choices of clothes.

“Please tell me you are going to sleep with him.” Anna said, picking up my discarded clothes from last night that were lying on the floor. I was certainly hoping I was going to sleep with him but they didn’t need to know that.

  “I don’t know. I might. I might not.” I shrugged my shoulders.

“Come on Thea, I would have raped him as soon as he gave me that dance. Did you see his body move? If you don’t want him can I have him?” Cassie said, bouncing on the bed. Her blonde curls going every which way.

“I didn’t say I didn’t want him now did I? Now if you all will excuse me. I have a date to get ready for.”

I shooed them out the door and just as I closed the door, I heard Anna say, “She’s going to fuck him. I’ll bet money on it.” I rolled my eyes and locked the door.

Miles was at my door at ten sharp. I had chosen short jeans shorts, a red V-neck shirt and sneakers for our tour today. When I opened the door, I'm taken aback by the vision I saw. Miles wore khaki colored board shorts and a white tee shirt. A pair of aviator sunglasses covered his eyes. I wanted to pull him into my room and have my wicked way with him.

“Hey” He said as he took off his sunglasses.

“Hey” I replied with a smile.

“You ready for today?” He asked. I grabbed my satchel and put my hand in his.

  “Ready as I’ll ever be.”

We walked hand and hand down the busy sidewalk of Las Vegas Blvd. I couldn’t help but notice the stairs women were giving Miles. Was he some kind of celebrity out here? We walked across the street and my eyes immediately caught the side of a bus. There in large print was Miles’ picture staring right at me. Two men were on both sides of him. He had his shirt off and a tie was loosely knotted around his neck. In big black letters was ‘The Men on Fire’

“Oh my god, that’s you.” I pointed as the bus drove away.

“Yeah that’s me.” He answered simply. He tugged on my hand as we made our way through the crowds.

“You said you were a dancer, not famous.” I said looking at his straight face. He abruptly stopped in the middle of the sidewalk and faced me. He removed his sunglasses and looked me straight in the eye.

“I’m not famous Thea. That’s not who I am.” He patted his chest. “This is me. I don’t want to talk about me being a dancer. I want to talk about who I am as Miles Andrew Taylor not Officer Entice.” I put my hand on his that was placed on his chest. I could see the hurt and annoyance in his eyes. I didn’t want to make him feel uncomfortable.

“I’m sorry Miles. I was just caught off guard. My lips are sealed.” I crossed my heart with the fingers of my other hand. “I promise.” To my surprise, he leaned down and gave me a soft kiss on my lips.

“Thank you” he whispered as if a large weight was lifted off his chest.

Miles took me to the Eiffel Tower, the Hard Rock Hotel and finally we ended up at the top of the Stratosphere. My legs were starting to hurt from all the walking we had done but it was all worth it. Miles knew the strip like I knew horses.

“Will you jump with me?” Miles asked, as we looked at the attractions that the Stratosphere had to offer.

“What?” I looked up at him in horror. The one thing I hated most besides planes was heights. Oh, hell no. there was no way I was going to jump off a building.

“Are you scared?” He asked me seriously. I couldn’t help my knees from shaking.

“Yes” I whispered, afraid my terror would sound through my words.

“There’s nothing to be afraid of Thea. I’ll be right here with you.” I nodded my head nervously. Could I do this? Could I face my fears?

After we watched a video on how to properly jump, we were harnessed into a weird looking contraption. Miles held my hand the whole time. As our turn came, I didn’t think I could do it. I looked over the side of the building to the hundreds of feet down below. Was this how my family felt when they were going down? Did they see their life flashing before their eyes like I was? Oh god. I couldn’t do it. I felt like I was suffocating. I gripped Miles’ hand.

“I can’t do this Miles.” Tears ran down my face. I was going to be sick. I let go of his hand and ran to the nearest trash bin. I felt Miles rub my back as I dry heaved into the trash.

“Are you alright Thea?” Concern flowed through his voice.

“I can’t do it. Oh god. My Mother, Father, Ares.” I sobbed. I felt as Miles unstrapped my harness and held me against his body.

“Tell me about them.” He whispered. I shook my head against his chest. It was too much. This was too much. I needed to get out of there. I pushed against his chest and reluctantly, he let me go. I ran down the stairs and out the door of the casino. As soon as I hit fresh air, my lungs began to fill. I braced my hands on my knees and took long, deep breaths. I hadn’t had a panic attack for years and to be honest they scared the shit out of me.

“Christ, Thea baby.” Miles said as he rubbed my back. “Take deep breaths honey. Let it all out.” He told me. After about ten minutes, I finally could see straight. Miles never asked me again to talk about my family, which I appreciated. We walked in silence for what seemed like forever. Miles didn’t deserve my sadness, my withdrawn state. As soon as we reached the Bellagio fountain, I stopped walking and looked to the dancing water. Miles stopped beside me and I could feel his eyes on me. It was now or never.

“I was seventeen when my family was killed. My Father
, Mother and Brother had taken my father’s helicopter to Utah to buy more cattle for the ranch. In a blink of an eye, they were taken away from me.” I looked up at him. He had removed his sunglasses and was looking at me not with sympathy but with sadness. I averted my gaze back to the fountain.

“It was later determined that somehow the electronic system in the chopper had malfunctioned. They were about a thousand feet above ground when they crashed. I’m guessing that my Mother wanted to see the National Park they were flying over.” I shrugged my shoulders.

“My Mother always loved nature. She was a sucker for beautiful scenery.” Miles’ hand was now smoothing down my hair in attempt to sooth my sadness. It was working. “When I found out they were gone, I was in school. I don’t remember much about that day. The next thing I knew, I was waking up in a hospital. I had gotten into a car accident on the way home and ended up in a coma for seven months.” I heard Miles take a deep breath and I looked up at him. Tears were in his eyes. He looked so sweet and vulnerable. I wanted to take his sadness away like he was mine. I placed my hand on his cheek.

“Don’t be sad for me Miles, that was three years ago and even though I feel the pain every day, somehow being with you takes some of that away from me.” He turned his head to kiss my palm. It was at that moment I realized I was falling for Miles Taylor, not the dancer, not the architect major but the tender man that I was holding. I hadn’t said ‘I love you’ to anyone in three years but I could see myself saying them to him. If only I didn’t have to go back to my life in Montana. I would stay here in Las Vegas with him forever if he wanted me to.

“Thea,” he spoke. “I can’t ever imagine what you must have been through, or going through but I’m glad you are here with me. In this place, in this moment, all I want to do is spend every waking moment with you.” I took my hand off his cheek and placed it on his heart. “Will you stay with me tonight?” He asked with tenderness.

“Yes” I answered immediately, which he noticed. He gave me the most beautiful smile I had ever seen.

Miles dropped me off at my hotel room shortly after four. He had a show tonight but he promised me that he would be back as soon as it was over. “I’ll be by around eight.” He said and kissed me on the forehead.

“Hmm” I purred at him. He chuckled and left me alone in my room.

Anna showed up at my room at about five. She wanted to have a girl’s night together. I told her that Miles would be coming around eight. We were sitting at dinner when the questions began.

“So you like him right?” Anna asked from beside me.

“Yeah” I answered. How could I tell her that after knowing Miles for three days, I was possibly falling for him? She wouldn’t understand, would she?

“What happens when you have to go home?” Cassie asked. I really didn’t know the answer to that question. I guess we would go our separate ways; maybe we would keep in touch. I really hoped for the latter.

“I don’t know. All I know is that I want to spend as much time with him that I can until we leave.” That earned nods from everyone except Angie.

“Does he know about how fucked up you are?” Angie asked, not batting an eye.

“Angie!” Anna said. “I’m sure Thea will do the right thing. It’s her business to tell him or not to tell him.” I reached over and patted Anna on the knee, silently thanking her for defending me.

“I told him everything. Well not everything but enough. He knows about my family and the coma. Everything else can wait.” Like how I depend on pills to keep me sane. Angie rolled her eyes.

“You didn’t tell him about Alex? Did you?” I was really starting to hate Angie. We were never friends in high school. She always tried to one up me whenever she could, which never turned out in her favor. I was always the homecoming queen; I was always on the honor roll. She just sat back and damned my existence. I bet she laughed the day everything went to shit in my life. I wouldn’t let her get to me in this point in my life. I was finally somewhat happy.

“Does it matter if I did or not Angie? Alex is in my past. He left me and I have moved on.”

“Yeah right high and mighty Thea. Everyone knows you are still in love with Alex.” Now I was pissed. Angie the bitch always knew how to push my buttons. I wasn’t still in love with Alex. I cared about him yes and I probably always would. He was my first love, my first everything for gods sakes. She didn’t know shit about my life or me. I laughed at her.

“Is that right Angie. You, being the town tramp had a thing for Alex back in high school. You were just jealous that I always won in the end and not a stupid bitch like you. Now if you will excuse me. I have a date to get ready for.” I gave Anna, Cassie and Erin an apologetic look and left them at the table.

I walked out into the warm, fresh June air. I needed to clear my head before Miles came over tonight. I looked at my watch it was six fifteen. I could walk around for a bit, I decided. I watched as the street performers did their song and dance on the sidewalks and even laughed when a Michael Jackson impersonator fell on his ass while trying to do the moonwalk. As my anger started to fade, my nervousness and anxiousness started to heighten.

It had been three years, ten months and five days since I had had sex with a man. Did I even know how to have sex anymore? Some people say it’s like riding a bike but I specifically remember the first day I rode my bike by myself. I ended up with a knocked out tooth and two scraped up knees.

I walked by a La Perla store on my way back to my hotel. Maybe some lingerie would help me calm my nerves. I picked out a sexy black lace bra and matching panties. I debated on getting a guarder belt and stockings but decided against it. They would end up on the floor anyway.

After I returned to my room, I ran a hot bath. Adding bubbles and turning up the jets was just what I needed. It was seven forty five by the time I bathed, dressed, primped and moisturized. I wanted tonight to be perfect for the both of us. I small knock sounded at the door. He was early. I skipped to the door and pulled it open. A bellhop stood before me with a large bouquet of fresh flowers.

“Mr. Taylor sends his apologies.” Was all the boy said as he handed me the massive arrangement. I looked down at the card and couldn’t help my heart break just a little.

  I’m sorry Thea

I won’t be able to make it tonight.

  Please forgive me.

  Miles

Disappointment ran through me as I read the card again. Maybe I was getting my hopes up to high. I did have a breakdown in front of him today. Maybe he was scared that I was crazy or just too fucked up to start anything with. I put the flowers on the small table and slowly walked to the bed. I refused to let myself get emotional over this. He had something come up. That happened to everyone. I grabbed my sleeping pills off the nightstand and took one. I hoped that sleep would take me away soon.

  Exploration

  Day 4

I felt large, soft hands run up my legs. Small kisses were being placed on my ankles and calves. I was dreaming of Miles. His lips moved where his hands had touched and I couldn’t help but to moan aloud. He had the most magical hands in the world. I heard him whisper my name as his hands continued up my legs towards my thighs. I spread my legs for him and that earned me a purr from him. I had gone to bed still wearing my La Perla and it was apparent he appreciated my purchase. I felt the blanket being removed from my body.

“Christ you’re beautiful” He said in a deep lustful voice. I felt his hand slide up my body, over my stomach and between my breasts. “Open your eyes beautiful” He whispered to me. Was this a dream or reality? I did what I was told. My eyes fluttered open to see Miles leaning over me. His well-toned body was covering mine in the most erotic way.

“How did you get in here?” I asked in a sleepy voice.

“I ran into Anna in the lobby and she gave me your extra key. I hope you don’t mind.” Miles kissed my neck and trailed them over my collarbone to the swell of my breasts. My breathing picked up.

  “Oh g
od” I breathed.

“I’m sorry I canceled on you. Something came up but I made it out of there as soon as I could. Did you like your flowers?” Miles said between kisses.

I turned my head to look at the clock. It was past midnight. “Yes. They are beautiful. Thank you” I whispered.

“You’re welcome. Do you still want me Thea?” I bowed my body to his touch.

“Oh god yes Miles. I want you so bad.” He removed my breasts from their cups and began kneading the flesh.

“You have the sexiest breasts Thea.” I watched as he took one nipple into his mouth and sucked. I reached my hands up and threaded my hands into his silky hair. His mouth felt so fucking good I could cry.

He brought his attention to my other nipple and paid equal attention to it. I could feel my panties getting damper by the second as he used his mouth on me. I watched him trail kisses down my stomach until he got to the hem of my panties.

“Lift” He whispered and I complied. Miles slid my panties off and tossed them on the floor. He positioned himself between my thighs, looking directly at my soaking core. “So beautiful” he said and suddenly his mouth was on me. I couldn’t help the loud moan that came from my lips as he used his tongue to circle my throbbing clit.

His long, thick finger entered me next followed by a second. He was playing my body like an instrument and I enjoyed every single second of it. I squeezed my eyes tight as my eruption began.

“Fuck Miles” I screamed as my orgasm crashed through me. I heard him making sucking sounds, as if he was lapping up everything I was giving him. In a flash, his mouth was on mine. I could taste my arousal on his tongue.

“You taste like sunshine Thea,” He said between kisses. I wanted him to be inside of me as bad as I needed the air to breathe. I reached my hand down and stroked him through his faded jeans. A sexy growl came from deep within him. In a matter of seconds, his jeans and boxers were off, followed by my bra. He sheathed himself with a condom and slowly and sweetly entered his cock into me. I felt as though I was being ripped apart. It had been so long for me and his cock was massively thick and long.
