Dan shrugged. “Home, I guess. I’ll be back tomorrow.”

Tia watched Dan leave. Why is Dan off duty when the team returned to active call duty today? She noted Dan’s appearance and concluded Commander Gambrill, a man who cared about the officers working at TRF, most likely decided Dan needed additional rest. She resumed her seat and perused the menu she picked up at the Fire Stick Grill after doing a wee bit of investigative work on one Jarmal Tate for Sergeant Pastore. Perhaps I’ll grab dinner there tonight and catch sight of the handsome owner and chef again.
