The bride gulped then sniffled.
“Oh damn, don’t do that.” Sloan hugged Lynn. “I’m sorry. I guess I can’t believe how lucky I am to have friends like you and Bastian along with the man of my dreams. Sometimes it doesn’t seem real, you know?”
“I have to say, I never expected to fly to Italy for a double wedding!” Rachel grinned as she came to the rescue with a box of tissues.
“Me either, but I have to say, I’m so happy for you both.” Darci daubed some replacement eye shadow on Sloan then fixed the shell necklace draped over her bodice. “You deserve those two smoking-hot men waiting at the edge of the surf for you.”
“Now quit this girly weeping shit.” Larissa slapped Sloan on the ass. “We have two Cougars to give away. Your studs are waiting for a thumbs-up to start the ceremony.”
“I still can’t believe they all came.” Sloan shook her head, wisps of hair dusting her face as she looked out over the crowd. Monica, Edie, Elle, Autumn, Stevie, Cam, Lori, Grace and the rest all looked unbelievably chic. Their young lovers gave the local Italian stallions a run for their money.
It had to be the sexiest collection of guests in attendance at a wedding ever.
Before the heaped blessings could inspire another ridiculous tear, strains of classical music drifted to Sloan’s ears. A soft wind blew the sheer fabric draping the archway they’d placed on the beach and flower petals fluttered in the sand.
Lynn clasped Sloan’s fingers in her trembling grip. Together they marched between the rows of white-painted chairs containing their friends and relatives. Love surrounded them but Sloan couldn’t look anywhere but at Mark. He stood shoulder to shoulder with Sebastian.
The men grinned at each other then focused on the women they’d sworn their souls to. Two couples. Four friends. A mix of adventurous lovers bonded for life and beyond. Nothing could have felt more right.
Sloan couldn’t wait to see what decadent surprises the two troublemakers had concocted for their honeymoons.
