“From who? The landing site is thousands of years old.”
Waldorf calmly said,
“Yes, and so is the homing signal. Clearly the facility has been deserted for thousands of years but is still operating on ancient computer commands.”
Frustrated, she scrutinized the screens, pointed and said,
“There is something on the lip of the crater. Zoom one of the cameras in on it.”
As the crystal clear image zoomed in, on the middle screen appeared an image that greatly shocked everybody and clearly indicated how close Russia came to either destroying the moon or ruling over planet Earth. On the lip of the crater rested a large space craft. Although mostly covered in gray moon dust, it was easy to see an insignia identifying it as Russian.
Gazing hard at the anomaly, Santo slowly said,
“It’s been there for a long time. Clearly they were told about this armory years ago.”
Agreeing, Waldorf added,
“Something must have gone terribly wrong.”
Maria’s thought was for the crew and asked,
“Do you think it was manned?”
Waldorf said,
“Clearly it had to be but that’s of little concern now.”
After clearing her head of the horror the Russian crew must have suffered and how horribly they must have died, she composed herself and commanded,
“Get me an image inside the crater. There is something down there I want a better look at.”
Obeying the harsh command, Presha snapped to the keyboard and zoomed one of the cameras into it. If seeing an old Russian space craft resting on the edge of the crater as if it were a gravestone, what they saw inside the creator paled by comparison.
There was no doubt in anybody’s mind that they were looking at three massive low level buildings all shaped in a giant ‘L’ formation. Both Santo and Waldorf understood that they were looking at an Anunnaki fortress filled with an arsenal of mass destruction. Maria pointed and said,
“All three are made of glass.”
As if further proof was needed that it was a fortress of war, Santo pointed and said,
“There, just to the side are five massive satellite discs.”
Upon closer scrutiny, it was clear that they were ancient and by now also covered in gray dust. Santo added,
“Those dishes must be a mile across.”
Waldorf voiced his observation.
“And two are not pointing to the Earth. That kind of makes you wonder who in deep space they were communicating with don’t it.”
Maria turned from the anomalies to Presha and said,
“Zoom closer to the armory. I want to see if the missiles are in there.”
However, as clear as the images were, with the accumulated dust covering the glass structures there was no way of getting a look inside. Disappointed, she then ordered,
“Take control of the ship and land it.”
As frantic as Presha was keying in commands, nothing was happening. Santo explained,
“It’s no use. She can’t override the landing codes. That’s it. It will just sit there forever waiting for somebody inside the fortress to transmit the proper codes.”
Frustrated she said,
“But there isn’t anybody in the damn fortress.”
Both Santo and Waldorf understood her frustration.
By the descriptions in the Ramayana and Mahabharata of the Great Earth War, Maria thought the terrible weapons might be thermonuclear bombs. The purpose of this mission was to destroy those weapons of mass destruction before the Russians got them. Now, with a ‘can not’ situation facing her, alternatives raced through her analytical mind. She suddenly snapped her fingers, pointed to the middle screen and said,
“How about we just destroy the glass buildings then? That should expose the bombs. Will that work?”
Understanding what was being proposed, Presha’s fingers danced over the keyboard. After only a moment, she turned and said,
“Yes. We have pinpoint accuracy of the laser gun. I’m sure the glass structure can be destroyed without damaging the missiles inside.”
She looked to Santo for approval and when he nodded, she then looked to Waldorf. With a consensus, she pointed to Santo and said,
“Do it.”
Santo then turned to the control panel and activated the joy stick. Like a child in an arcade playing Space Invaders, he looked to the screen, aimed and triggered a powerful death ray into the three ‘L’ shaped glass compounds. The ray was as promised by the leader of the Atlantians, precise and deadly. The three glass fortresses exploded into uncountable shards. Because of the lesser gravity there was no telling how many miles away they landed, if at all. Glass debris now orbited the moon.
With the glass fortress destroyed and out of the way, even from this height it was plain to see hundreds of missile silos stored all in a row. Santo knew what to do. Aiming at each silo he kept triggering the laser beam. It was true that the laser beam melted the ignition mother boards in the nose cones rendering them unarmed but it also triggered launch commands. The missiles fired their propulsion systems creating a massive chain of explosions. In one colossal detonation, everything disappeared in a cloud of dust and metal. Waldorf said,
“Wow! That was massive and certainly unexpected.”
Maria had a better thought and said,
“Better here than on Earth.”
The whole Sea of Tranquility crater was now deeper and wider. The camera showing the left angle, the one with the dead Russian space craft on the outer lip showed it exploding and blasted into a distant memory.
Suddenly the Anunnaki ship flipped over and all three screens showed a rolling motion. Santo and Waldorf both understood that the tremendous percussion of the blast was so powerful that it impacted on the ship. During the slow roll to death, the left camera angle showed the rear of the ship had torn off and was separately rolling into the blast zone. As the section with the cockpit and the cameras slowly tumbled to the moon, another great plumb of glass and debris was seen just before the screens went blank.
With the job done, all three climbed the stairs and walked past the sleeping guard. As Santo passed, he resisted kicking the old man in the foot. Inside the walls of the decrepit building and approaching both D-wings, Waldorf expected Maria to come with him. When seeing her entering Santo’s craft, he understood his error. In full stealth and rising silently, Maria looked down at the village to see half of the children in the soccer field celebrating a goal. She turned to Santo and said,
“I hope only the Russians knew about that weapon cache. It would be awful if other countries got hold of weapons that terrible.”
Chapter 71
Seconds after the explosion, the Russian Deep Space Surveillance Command Center picked up a massive explosion in the middle of the Sea of Tranquility crater. Understanding the importance of that location and having a dead ship perched at the edge, the location commander picked up his phone and called General Boris Petrov, head of the Russian Federal Security Service. After learning of the evacuation inside the Siberian Triangle and now learning of a massive explosion in the Sea of Tranquility, General Boris Petrov was not a happy man.
***
Seconds after the same explosion, the USA Mission Control Center, an arm of NASA detected a massive explosion on the moon. The operator turned to the Mission Control Leader and reported the strange anomaly. He asked,
“Is that Russian space craft still sitting on the edge of the crater?”
“No Commander, the whole ridge has been blown away.”
He then asked,
“Do you think the explosion might have been caused by the Russian ship?”
“No Sir, the blast originated from inside the crater.”
The Commander suddenly looked as if he had been punched in the gut. He hurried to the Red Phone and snapped it up.
After explaining the situation he added,
“Yes Sir, I understand that we were this close
to winning the Arms Race. No Sir, we don’t know what happened but I do know that at least now, nobody gets the arsenal.”
***
Deep inside the North Korean Satellite Nerve Center a technician was answering very uncomfortable questions from his Commanding Officer. He gulped hard and replied,
“No Commander, the blast originated from inside the crater where the glass structure was located. Our orbiting satellite shows only a deep hole but nothing else.”
The Commanding Officer looked scared. He knew he had to report this to his Superior and reporting bad news was far from a safe thing to do. They too had invested valuable time and money racing to the moon.
***
At the Beijing Aerospace Command and Control Center a technician answered an uncomfortable question.
“No, there is nothing left. If there were superior weapons in the glass structure that may have been what caused the explosion.”
The Commanding Officer was not happy about this. To date they had invested billions to be the first to reach the cache of superior weapons. Clearly, it was now all for nothing.

Inside the Indian Space Research and Organisation Center a technician was trying hard not to make it sound as if it was his fault.
“No Sir, I didn’t activate any programs down here by mistake. It happened suddenly and without any apparent cause.”
The Commander snapped around and yelled at another technician.
“Can we still turn our space craft around and bring it back here?”
“No Sir. It’s a wasted project.”
He knew what he had to do and it was not going to please his superiors. Rather than have evidence of their Space Research Organisation attempting to acquire futuristic weapons of mass destruction, a self-destruct button was pushed and the space craft exploded.
***
The Russian Deep Space Surveillance Command Center picked up a strange explosion between the moon and Earth. The two technicians sitting side-by-side saw it on the screen but didn’t know what to make of it. After the devastating news of the deserted Siberian Triangle and now the unexplained explosion on the moon, neither wanted to call General Boris Petrov and add more fuel to the raging fire. The perfect explanation was,
“It was probably just an exploding asteroid.”
Chapter 72
As per mandate of the House of the Nazarene, Maria had vowed to restrict alien access to Earth and ensure that the history of this planet was now in the hands of humans. Too much of Earth’s history was of various alien tribes once living here. Part of the new Nazarene mandate was also to eventually prove to the world the truth of the past. This was the purpose of financially supporting Mario Amato’s archeology of an ancient alien city in the Sahara Desert.
The House of the Nazarene already had proof that the great Egyptian pyramids were not built by the pharaohs but rather simply repaired and added to with the intention of restoring the ancient gods to glory. When the House of the Nazarene has collected enough to prove the alien connection, alien civilizations such as the Sumerians, and many others await their true origin. The alien cultures in South America such as Puma Punku, and Mexico’s Pyramid of the Sun at Teotihuacan all had alien connections. When the true alien history of the world comes to light, the writings of the Mahabharata and Ramyana will turn from mere legends to true historical events of the Great Earth War. Many other legends around the world will then also have bases in fact.
The Black Knight satellite was now gone along with its millions of DNA samples of all things on Earth. With any luck and a few hundred years, the old Atlantian barren planet will once again be turned into a flourishing albeit replica of Earth’s fauna and flora. Maria had to chuckle at the possibility of a distant planet out in the voids looking just like Earth.
Except for one thing it had been a good mission. However there was still one more active portal to another world yet to be destroyed and that was the Anunnaki Gate under the floor of the Royal Library. Despite the ancient king of Romania having a proven dubious history of collaboration with the Anunnaki and supposed marriage to one of them, the current king still refused Maria’s repeated request to enter the tunnel and destroy the altar and portal. It should have been a slam dunk, something as a friend to the House of the Nazarene, the King should have willingly approved.
Her delegation reported that they sensed the King wanted to grant permission but for reasons unknown, his counsellors vehemently advised against it. With apologies, he denied their request. However, as stated many times, Maria does not accept ‘can not’ but will accept alternatives. If the King will not allow access to the secret tunnel through the library then there has to be another way. The next day Belle and Robert discovered that other way.
Chapter 73
To the great pleasure of both Belle and Robert, it was Saturday, meaning no school and a chance to sleep in. The only thing that got Belle out of bed early Saturday mornings was excitement for the secret plans of the day. When her alarm unfortunately intruded on deep sleep, instead of a regretful moan and thoughts of hitting the ‘shut-up’ button there was eagerness and excitement about her. She bounded out of bed and quickly dressed.
With parents who do not understand the normal paradigm of night being reserved for sleeping, it was difficult to sneak out of the mansion. It was one of the few things Maria regretted about taking over as Head of the House of the Nazarene. When it was bed time for weary eyes, it was morning in another part of the world and true to fate being cruel the phone usually rang at that time. This morning was no exception.
Unfortunately for Belle’s effort to sneak out of the house and go on her secret adventure, mom was already up and about. However, experience learned from other ‘sneak outs’ won the day and soon she was stealing out the back door and across the lawn to meet Robert. Not surprisingly, at least to her, he was late. When he finally showed up, he uttered his excuse.
“Mom and dad were talking in the hall. I couldn’t sneak out the window until they left.”
Gathering their prearranged equipment, they slipped on the backpacks and jumped on their bikes. It was a two mile ride through a forest trail that was covered with patches of morning fog. As usual, fueled by passion for the exploration, Belle was in the lead. Heavy huffing and puffing did not help Robert pump already tired legs any faster. The second he peddled out of a low fog bank low and saw Belle straight ahead, she disappeared into another one.

It may be true that Waldorf had passed on the duties of Head of Security for the House of the Nazarene to Santo but as often proven, it was difficult to retire and walk away from a life’s passion. Frequently over breakfast, he would turn on his computer and activate ‘On Ground’ motion detection security cameras just to double check the vigilance of Santo’s surveillance crew. Camera 35A was a motion activated camera high in a tree looking down at a foggy patch of forest path leading to the coast. Usually the only thing he saw on this camera was a deer or wild boar.
This time he was surprised to see Robert tearing through fog patches on his bike. On Saturday mornings he was usually sound asleep and rousing him was a chore. Something had obviously given him energy to get up early and race through the trails. He was puzzled until he saw Belle popping out of another fog bank. Nodding his understanding of the obvious secret mission, he activated communication with Coastal Security.
Out on the waves of the Black Sea bobbing on the waves was what looked like an inconspicuous twenty foot fishing boat complete with a trawling net. They were not fishing but rather on the lookout for trespassers and spies. Chief Petty Officer Norman Rider was patrolling the parameters of the Nazarene shoreline when he responded to Waldorf’s hail.
“In a few minutes you will see two of our children climbing the cliffs. Keep an eye on them for me.”
“Yes sir. Would you like us to apprehend them?”
“No, just be there if they get in trouble.”
“Yes sir.”

Two speeding bikes came to a grinding halt on a moss covered bluff overlooking the Black Sea. From there both stood looking down the sheer cliff and saw the cave far below just a few feet above the crashing waves. Still huffing and puffing, Robert tugged Belle’s sleeve, pointed out into the sea and whispered.
“That’s one of our shore patrol boats out there.”
She saw his concern but said,
“They are not interested in us. Probably can’t even see us. Come on, let’s get the harnesses on.”
While he struggled to get into the rappelling harness, she secured one end of the rope to a nearby tree. Then, before throwing it over the cliff and down to the cave, as taught by Cartwright, she tied a knot at the lower end so they would not slip off the rope and fall the rest of the way. Also, as taught, the rope was looped around a carabineer in the standard figure 8. She was the first to push off and lower twenty feet to the cave entrance. When she was safely down, Robert followed.
Both stood on a rocky outcropping just a few feet above the crashing waves. Looking into darkness of the mysterious cave, Belle was surprised at how large it really was. There was not going to be any crawling on hands and knees or bumping of heads in this cavern. While scanning the cliff and the rock formation she saw evidence of a rock slide. They were standing on loose shale and rocks that had opened up more of the cave now making it visible from the sea. She wondered if prior to whatever caused the slide, perhaps a storm or earth tremor, it might have been hidden from view for centuries.
