“She said that Jefferson asked her to stay with him for the rest of her trip here.” Deb reiterated and got a look from Jill.

  “I f-ing know that...”

Deb picked up her drink with cheeks burning red. “Then why did you f-ing ask...” She mumbled.

Interjecting before the girls got into a argument, Rebecca continued.

“Should I though? I mean if this is only a fling or something then it's just going to be painful when I leave...”

Jill looked at her and asked, “Well what did you say to him when he asked?”

Rebecca shrugged and answered, “I told him I would think about it, and that I had to ask you guys. I mean we are here together and all.”

Deb set her fork down and looked kindly at Rebecca. “If you don't do it because of us...I'll have to strangle you.” She smiled sarcastically, picked up her fork and continued to eat.

The girls burst out in laughter, and Rebecca took a sip of her juice. Really...what's the harm if I do it? Other than being heartbroken...Even as the thought passed through her mind, eight year old Rebecca flashed through as well. She remembered sitting in her room listening to her sister Wendy crying in the next room. She remembered feeling like crying herself. Why had she been so attached to him so quickly?

Jill snapped her out of her thoughts. “Well I don't have a problem with you staying with him. I mean we're all going to hang out still and everything, right?”

  Rebecca nodded. “Of course.”

Smiling Jill looked at Deb. “Maybe we can get on TMZ too...huh Deb?”

Rebecca's cheeks burned with embarrassment. “I wonder what people back home are saying...” She mused out loud.

Jill laughed. “Oh you're a superstar. Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat...everyone I know is blowing you up. Mostly good stuff.”

Rebecca grinned and shook her head. “I haven't even checked. Haven't had time ...if you know what I mean.”

They laughed again, and Rebecca felt at peace. Thinking back to the sex with Jefferson she couldn't help but feel that it was more than just sex. They just fit together, like puzzle pieces. Yes...the sex was amazing, but maybe it was amazing because they had a connection. They had chemistry, and it was undeniable. Does he feel the same? Should I even bring the subject up? She thought about asking Jill and Deb, but decided against it. Let things play out...right? She smiled as she “rejoined” the breakfast, but her insides had started clenching up in knots again.

  6 CHAPTER SIX

Jefferson rolled Rebecca's luggage into his master bedroom, and propped it up against the wall. He turned to her and smiled. Rebecca tried a smile on and felt that it didn't come across as genuine.

He walked over to her and put his hands on her cheeks. “Stop thinking so much. Okay? It's okay to just go with it...right?”

He kissed her and she responded for a minute. She broke the kiss and looked at him.

Nodding she reached out and touched his face. “Yeah...I'm trying. It's just that I've never really...done this type of thing.”

He nodded his understanding to her. “If it makes you feel any better you're the first woman that I've had “move in” this quickly.”

He smiled at his joke, and Rebecca couldn't help but laugh.

“I guess that makes everything all better then...”

She turned and walked over to her luggage. She bent over to open it and heard Jefferson make an approving sound. Laughing she turned to look at him, still bent over.

  “Stoooopppp....” She grinned.

He shook his head and started to walk toward her. “You stop. That ass of yours has a lot of power.”

He walked to her and put his hands on her backside and started stroking. “You just do something to me Rebecca...it's like I can't get enough of you.

Rebecca felt her heart jump, and her stomach did as well. It was all in a good way though.

She shook her ass a little and asked, “Well maybe you could help me put some of this stuff away?”

He laughed and gave her a playful smack on the butt. “Killjoy...” Reaching down he lifted up the luggage and easily tossed it onto the bed. “Fine... we can put this stuff away.” He walked over to the bed and opened up the case. “Then afterward maybe we could...you know...” He raised his eyebrows up and down several times. “Hmmm? How does that sound?”

Grinning at his antics Rebecca walked over to him. “That sounds grand Mister Hughes.” She said and stroked his crotch lightly.

She smiled up at him and together they began to put her stuff away.

A moment or two of comfortable silence passed, and Rebecca smiled. “Soooo...what would you think about having dinner with Jill and Deb?”

He was putting a shirt away in a huge dresser and shrugged. “Sure. Why not?”

Walking back over he picked up a pair of her panties. He held them up and smiled. “I like these...”

She laughed and grabbed them out of his hand. “Maybe I'll wear them for you sometime.”

She turned and walked to the dresser to put them away.

“Well...you're going to have to…” He teased and flirted with her. “Seeing as how you have a limited supply of panties … some of your days left on vaca will not have coverage...”

She tossed them into the drawer and turned to look at him.

Smiling wickedly she said, “Maybe I just won't wear panties at all...”

  ******

The first time Rebecca had sex, she was 18. She had held out, feeling that the time to lose her virginity should come when she was in love. Her boyfriend was 22. They had been going out for a year, secretly. She had never really brought any boys home, and then there were the whispers between her parents wondering if she was gay. How could she explain to them that she just never felt comfortable with boys? She had always been attracted to men. Boys her age were just...stupid. They never seemed to look at her the way an older guy did. They talked differently. They even smelled different. Boys were smelly. Men smelled good.

So when she began dating Mark, she couldn't bring him home. He was an older man. Mark was 21 years old when she was only 17. Now that she had reached her 18th birthday, maybe she could bring him home. But there was something missing. She liked him, even maybe loved him...but something was off. So she thought that maybe having sex with him would bring her the answer. He had been trying since their first date, and she was amazed that he had stuck around. Most of the boys in school wouldn't have stuck it out for a year. Mark had been nice, and a little nerdy like her. Maybe the nerdy ones had fewer options to choose from, even though he wasn't ugly.

They had done it in his apartment. He had two roommates but they were gone for the evening. She still lived at home, so she concocted a lie to tell her parents explaining her disappearance for the night. And after all of her well laid plans, the sex had been painful, awkward and a real let down. Rebecca couldn’t understand what all the sexual fuss was about. Why all the hype from her friends at school? Mark had barely been inside her and it was over. He had acted like he had just brought her to the pinnacle of ecstasy or something.

“Was it good for you babe?” He had asked, panting.

She was still lying there wondering if that was it or if there was some great mysterious after shock. He hadn't even taken her bra off.

“Um...Yeah...it was great.” She had flat out lied.

That thing that was missing for her had not been uncovered by having sex. If anything the void had been expanded. She broke up with Mark two days later, much to his surprise. Her only other sexual experience had been with Phil who broke up with her before heading to the resort with Jill and Deb. Now as she moved her clothing into the dresser at the Resort Baxter, and in Jefferson Hughes' suite, now she realized what all the fuss was about. She had filled the missing piece in her life. She wasn't broken after all, she realized that she had made a connection and now she was purring like a kitten.

She walked over to him and looked directly into his eyes. He smile
d and she leaned in for a kiss. She kissed him deep, and long. Smooth and together, they came up for air.

Jefferson smiled and asked, “What was that for?”

Rebecca didn't respond, other than to move her hands down his stomach toward his crotch. Still looking deep into his eyes she unbuttoned his shorts. She gave them a little tug, and they dropped to the floor. They were looking deep into each other’s eyes when she started to stroke him. She saw his eyes cloud over with lust, and felt his breathing speed up with excitement. She continued to stroke him softly, feeling every inch of him.

Still looking at him intently she began to kiss her way down his chest. She was moving slowly, languishing kisses on him. He leaned back slightly so that he was resting against one of the bedposts. She reached his lower abdomen and continued to kiss and stroke gently. Still looking up into his eyes intently, she began to think. You are the one...can you see that? Can you feel that I have always loved you? Even when I didn't know what love was? She started to kiss his throbbing erection and he groaned softly. He didn't break her gaze though, or close his eyes. As she took him into her mouth they stared at each other.

As she gave him fellatio he softly caressed her head. He allowed her to control the movement. He didn't thrust or push her head. He was giving himself to her, and she took him. Normally she was average at best when giving oral sex. But Jefferson was different, and she loved how he tasted, his smell...his essence. She could tell he was getting close to orgasm as his breathing changed. He reached backwards and grabbed the bedpost as she took him as deep as she could in her mouth. He exploded in her mouth and she let it go down the back of her throat. He was groaning as he continued to spasm. You are inside me Jefferson. You are under my skin, and I am helpless. I love you. She looked up at him intently. He smiled at her and she rose up. They kissed passionately, and for several minutes. There was an intensity in the air that couldn't be explained, or denied.

  7 CHAPTER SEVEN

Jefferson and Rebecca sat down at the table, and waited for Deb and Jill. The waitstaff didn't really try to conceal their stares at the couple. Rebecca had asked specifically for Solar, and she was pleased to see her.

“Hey Rebecca! How are you?” she asked when she got to the table.

“Mr. Hughes! It's a real pleasure to meet you! I love your books!”

She placed the menus down in front of them and took their drink order.

Jefferson smiled at her and said, “I'll bring you a copy of my new book tomorrow. Cool?”

Nodding Solar hurried off to get their drinks.

Jill and Deb came in a couple of minutes later, and after re-introductions and a drink order they sat in silence for a minute.

“How long are you here for, Jefferson?” Jill asked.

“Just like you guys...I leave on Saturday.” Jill nodded and took a drink.

“Where are you going from here?” Deb asked.

Jefferson shrugged. “I'm heading back to Cali for a bit. I have another book signing and a speaking engagement, but other than that I'm pretty clear for the next few weeks. I'll probably try to start on my next book.”

As Deb and Jill made small talk, Rebecca looked at Jefferson. She was reminded of the first time that she had met him. Her Dad was replaced with Deb and Jill, and she was now Wendy. Jefferson was the same though. He sat with that same confidence, and smiled as he easily answered questions. She marveled at how self assured he was. Every now and then he would look at her and smile as he talked. All through dinner it seemed that he was being asked questions. “How did he become a writer?” “Why Romance?” “How did he like California?” All the questions were legitimate, but Rebecca knew that the elephant in the room had been avoided. Surely it was the question that had to be asked...and Jill would surly be the one to ask it. She was just waiting for her lips to move.

Maybe she won’t...maybe she won't ask that question, after all. But Rebecca knew that she would. She couldn't help it. They ordered coffee and dessert, and sat for a minute enjoying the atmosphere. The smell of the ocean and the cool breeze made for a very fine evening. Dessert and coffee came and they all let out approving sounds at the sweet treats. Rebecca ordered a piece of chocolate cake with ice cream and had just taken a bite.

  “So Jefferson....” Jill started.

Rebecca froze with a mouthful of dessert, and felt her stomach jump. DON'T DO IT!!! Don't… don't don't... She looked wide-eyed at Jill, but it was no use. Jill was ignoring her and took a sip of her after dinner drink.

“We're very fond of our friend Rebecca. We also know your reputation. You know...as kind of a man whore and all.” She waited a second to let her barb have an impact. It didn't.

She continued, and Jefferson sat looking at her with a small smile on his face. “So we're curious as to your intentions...Is this just a fling type thing...or what?”

Rebecca could have died. She tried desperately to swallow, but her body wouldn't respond. She sat frozen, wide-eyed and with one cheek packed with food, just like a squirrel with a nut. She was staring at Jill, but Jill was looking intently at Jefferson. Jefferson let out a little chuckle and under the table he put his hand on Rebecca's thigh.

“Well Jill...I haven't thought about it to be honest. Rebecca and I are enjoying each others company...But I wouldn't classify this as a “fling.” Rebecca is a very special woman.”

He gave her thigh a squeeze and Rebecca felt the tension ball in her stomach relax.

Jill glanced at her and smiled. “Rebecca...you look like a fucking squirrel over there...swallow already.”

They all laughed and the atmosphere of the table seemed to lighten up.

  “Yeah she's special alright...”Jill smirked.

Jill and Deb left for the nightclub. Rebecca and Jefferson choose peace and quiet, so they walked through the garden, just holding hands.

Jefferson stopped and turned around. “Come on over dude...” He called.

Rebecca tensed and turned to see who he was talking to. From behind a tree a man stepped out into the light. He had a camera hanging from his neck, and a sheepish look on his face.

“Just come over...get some pictures, and then leave us alone...okay?”

The man nodded and walked in closer. He raised his camera and took a few stills. He switched the camera to video and began filming.

“Jefferson...who is the young lady?” He asked.

Jefferson smiled and looked into the camera. “Her name is Rebecca. She is a friend from way back.”

The cameraman continued to film, and Rebecca was glad it was dark outside so her embarrassment wouldn't read through.

“What next for you guys?” Jefferson shrugged. “We're just taking it day by day...you know?”

The man nodded and stopped filming.

  “Good enough?” Jefferson asked.

“Good enough.” The man answered. He looked at Rebecca and smiled. “This one looks like a keeper, Jefferson. I mean if my opinion counts for anything...”

Jefferson chuckled. “Thanks Drew...I'll take your opinion any day.”

Rebecca knew that her face read the shock of Jefferson’s statement referencing their friendship.

“You guys know each other?!” She asked.

Both men shrugged at the same time, lending a bit of comedy to a situation that Rebecca didn't find funny in the least.

“Kinda...” Drew answered. “Jefferson is one of those rare celebrities that embraces the “evil paparazzi. When I first started following him a few years back, he was like ‘Look...I know you have a job to do. Just don't be an ass about it.’ It's kinda cool that he's cool with us...”

Jefferson gazed at Rebecca and smiled.

He shrugged and explained, “What can you do? I mean I know that they're out there...might as well be civil.”

Rebecca paused, reflected and realized who this reporter was. “Did you know that he was...was...at the boutique?”

Jefferson laughed. “No...I thought I had given
him the slip...he's a crafty one, this one.”

Drew shrugged and said, “Just doing my job, mam… Thanks for the time Jefferson.”

He simply turned and walked away, leaving Rebecca and Jefferson alone in the garden. Jefferson put his arm around Rebecca and they started walking again.

Her head was swirling. Is this something I want? To be followed all the time by camera people, watching my every move? He looked over at her and smiled slightly.

“It's a little intimidating at first...” He shrugged and looked ahead. “But it's something that I've gotten used to.”

She was still trying to wrap her head around what had just happened. “So you just know all the paparazzi people?”
