Fall Black In Love 1: When Henry Met Millie
Page 8
“I’m not good at keeping secrets,” he confessed. “I made you suspicious of me.”
“You’re an honest man and I love that about you.”
Henry kissed her softly. “I’m sorry I was late for your game. I know how important it was for you.”
Millie smiled. “You were late because you were getting me a gigantic trophy. How can I complain about anything?”
“You deserve it. You played a great game and came through in the clutch.”
“I heard your voice in my ear…telling me to relax,” she told him.
He grinned. “I told you you’d be thanking me after the game.”
“Thank you Henry,” she said seriously. “For being such a good man.”
Millie kissed him slowly moving closer onto his lap. Henry’s hands moved to her waist then lower, kneading her tight flesh until she moaned into his mouth.
“I want to see you Millie,” he said staring into her eyes.
She leaned back watching him until she reached for the hem of her blouse and pulled it over her head, dropping it on the sofa next to them. She sat on him clad in a white bra against her honey skin. Millie bit her lip as Henry trailed a finger down her neck to her shoulder. Slowly he slid the strap down her shoulder then repeated the action on the other side as she waited in anticipation.
What Millie lacked in height, she made up for in curves and since she was an athlete, everything on her was tight and firm. Her breasts sat up high and Henry gently cupped the exposed portions over her bra. He lowered his head between the mounds and inhaled her scent before gently nipping at the soft flesh.
His eyes met hers again. “Can I take this off?”
Mesmerized, Millie agreed. She felt his hands slide up her sides and around to her back. When the clasp was released, the garment fell forward and Millie looked down at her exposed breasts and hardened nipples. Henry took in the same sight.
He brought his hands up to hold each one in his large hands and Millie threw her head back, arching into his gentle massage.
“Such a pretty, pretty woman…” Henry leaned forward and whispered in her ear.
Millie moaned loudly as Henry replaced his hand with his mouth. She could only breathe out of her mouth as he licked and suckled her nipples. This was a pleasure that she had never experienced before and reflexively she grabbed hold of his head as he encouraged her to arch her back with a hand on her spine.
Millie didn’t know how long Henry pleasured her body but soon she felt a rising in her lower areas. To her it felt as if a storm was brewing inside of her secret place. Then when she thought she couldn’t take any more, Henry touched her there and she exploded inside her panties.
“Oh my God, Henry Patterson…” she breathed.
Henry held her close with their bare chests pressed tightly against one another. Slowly he stroked her naked back the full length of her spine.
“Millie?”
Millie had her eyes closed with her face buried in his neck. “Not in the mood for talking Henry.”
“Okay.” He smiled and stood with her clung to his body then walked into his bedroom. Gently he laid her on the neatly made bed and settled on top of her.
Henry kissed her, savoring her lips. “What did Bill say to you tonight?” he asked quietly.
Millie frowned. “Who?”
“Bill, the guy who was talking to you at the table when you went in the building,” he prodded.
She frowned deeper. “What? Why are you asking me about him?”
“Because before I take off the rest of your clothes, I want to know what he said to you.”
Millie froze. “You’re taking off the rest of my clothes?”
Henry nodded. “I won’t have Millie tonight, but I’m going to taste every drop of Honey.”
She looked at him. “What was the question again?”
Henry moved off of her and began unbuttoning her pants. “What did Bill say to you?” he repeated.
Millie lifted onto her elbows looking down at him. “He uh, introduced himself.” Her pants began to slide down her legs leaving her in white panties.
Henry lifted a brow. “Anything else?” he inquired reaching for her damp underwear.
“He wanted to dance…” Slowly her panties joined her pants on the bed.
“And what did you say?” Henry asked as he placed one silken leg over his shoulder.
Millie watched in fascination. “I told him that I wasn’t dancing…with anyone.”
Henry kissed the inside of her thigh and she trembled. “Did you want to dance with him?”
Their eyes locked and the look he gave her stopped her speech, so she slowly shook her head no.
“Good.” He slid her other leg over his shoulder. “Whenever you see Bill, I want you to remember this.”
At the first touch of his mouth, Millie screamed and continued to for at least the next fifteen minutes until she thought she would pass out. When she could take no more, Henry put a light blanket over her then joined her on the bed kissing her softly.
She smiled at him. “I like being your girl, Henry.”
“You’re going to be my girl for a long time Millie,” Henry said while touching her hairline. “I like your hair.”
“I noticed you like to touch it.”
“You know who you look like?” he asked.
She laughed and rolled her eyes. “I know. Dorothy Dandridge…I hear it all the time. My eyes are just lighter.”
Henry continued to play with her hair. “You know what you taste like?”
Millie blushed. “No.”
“Honey is real sweet…” Henry said dipping underneath the blanket.
“Henry!” Millie shouted.
******
Underneath the warm stream of the shower at her home, Millie closed her eyes. Her body still tingled in certain places all over from the evening’s activities with Henry. Never in her wildest dreams could she have imagined what that man could do to her. Now she wanted to know what else he could do.
Dressing in her pajamas, she headed to where the phone was located. Maggie and Amber had gone to their room and her mother had yet to come in from her night job. Picking up the receiver, she dialed Irma’s number.
“Hello?”
“Irma, it’s me.”
“Are you still a virgin?” Irma asked.
Millie smiled. “Technically.”
“What does that mean?”
“Henry went to third base,” Millie told her.
Irma laughed. “So for sure the next time he’s going to score.”
Millie made herself comfortable on the sofa. “He wants to take me on a proper date first.”
“Awww, that’s so sweet.”
“Henry’s a gentleman. That’s what I love about him,” Millie said sappily.
“I’m glad you two waited until the championship was over to start this because we needed you tonight.” She began to laugh again. “Speaking of tonight, I thought poor Helen was going to catch a beating from Honey.”
Millie smiled ruefully. “The thought of her with Henry made me want to pull her hair out. I’ve still got my eye on her.”
“I bet you do,” Irma teased. “She was gushing all over him.”
Millie twirled the cord around her finger. “Henry can make you do that.”
“Well I’m glad you two made up. He really cares about you Honey, don’t screw that up.” Irma told her.
“I won’t. Thank you again, Irma for your help tonight.”
Irma smiled. “You’re welcome.”
“I’m going to bed now. I’m exhausted,” Millie said yawning.
“I bet you are,” Irma responded wickedly.
“Bye Irma.”
Millie ended the call on Irma’s laugh and went into her room, closing the door behind her. She climbed into her bed and then turned to look out the window. She’d never thought she’d find a man, let alone a man like Henry Patterson.
Most of her life had been about school and ba
seball. When her father died from Cirrhosis years ago, Millie had thought about giving up playing ball but she was glad that she hadn’t. Not only had it been a way to remember her father, it had been the avenue in which she’d met Henry.
Millie had often been teased by Maggie and other girls about her ball playing, but she’d learned to ignore their snide comments and enjoy the game she loved.
Henry didn’t seem to mind her playing, in fact he supported her one hundred percent.
Turning over, she glanced at the trophy that now sat in her room. The coaches had dropped it off at her home after the party had ended. Millie smiled happily as her thoughts went from the shiny trophy to the man who’d made it possible.
Millie had to admit that she had not been prepared for what Henry had done to her tonight. The way he’d looked at her and touched her made her tingle all over again. She frowned thinking about that Bill guy. She remembered him from all the games, but she didn’t quite know what the deal was between him and Henry.
Not that it mattered, because even if Henry wasn’t in the picture, Bill wouldn’t be either. Not that he was a bad looking guy, he just wasn’t the guy who made her smile at him without trying. He wasn’t the guy who gave her butterflies and he definitely wasn’t the guy who was going to get a taste of this Honey.
No, that was clearly reserved for one Henry Patterson and she was not ashamed to say it. Tomorrow she was going shopping to buy something very pretty to wear on her date. She was going to show Henry that he really was getting the prettiest girl around and then she was going to make sure that he didn’t want any other.

Henry was in his kitchen preparing his lunch when his phone rang. He frowned looking at the clock then walked over to answer.
“Hello?”
A raspy voice came across the line. “Good morning Henry.”
He smiled. “Millie, it’s four in the morning. What are you doing up?”
“I wanted to tell you to have a good day at work and that I’m thinking about you,” she told him softly.
Henry felt his heart race. “Well thank you Millie. That’s mighty sweet of you. I’m thinking about you too.”
A huge smile came across her face. “I won’t hold you, I just wanted to catch you before you left.”
“I will talk to you later,” Henry told her. “Have a good day at school.”
“Thank you.”
Henry paused for a moment. “I’m looking forward to our date.”
“Me too,” Millie agreed softly.
“Are you ready?” he inquired in a sexy tone.
Millie whispered back. “Yes sir, Henry Patterson.”
“Just a few more days,” he told her.
“I know. I can’t wait.”
Henry glanced at his watch. “I’ll call you tonight.”
Ending the call, Henry finished making his lunch and headed out to work. He and Millie had their date set for the weekend when he was off work because he wanted to spend the entire day with her. After the night of the championship last week, they’d seen each other a few times but had mostly talked on the phone as Millie had finals approaching and Henry had work.
Over the past week, Henry had picked Millie up from school to take her home on the days she’s stayed late to study and they’d talked and kissed until it was time for him to leave. There had been no repeats of what had happened at his apartment that night but it stayed fresh on both of their minds.
Heading to his car, Henry smiled thinking about his pretty woman. He couldn’t wait to touch and taste her again. Yep, she was definitely going to be Mrs. Henry Patterson…real soon.
Arriving at work, Henry punched his card then made his way to his station. A little while later Bill rushed in to take his place across from him.
“Hey Henry,”
“Bill,” Henry responded without looking up from his task.
Bill smiled and continued to talk. “So I found out that the company will pay for us to take classes if we want.”
“I know.”
Bill watched Henry as he said his next words. “Well I’m going to sign up over at the Community College for something.”
Henry nodded his head. “Interesting…”
Bill shrugged. “I mean I support their team so much, I might as well become a student.”
Henry looked over at him. “You don’t want to do this Bill.”
“Do what?” Bill challenged.
“If you think you’re going there to be around Honey, you should think twice,” Henry warned.
Bill went back to his parts. “Honey knows who I am now.”
Henry lifted a brow. “And?”
Bill looked up at Henry’s tone. “You told me to give it my best shot, so don’t think I’m not.”
“Let it go Bill,” Henry told him.
“Patterson!”
Henry paused at the sound of his name. Turning he saw the new foreman coming towards him.
“What can I do for you?” Henry asked when he got to him.
“We need to see you in the break room.”
Henry nodded then followed him to the room as Bill watched wondering what was going on.
Inside the break room, Henry was offered a seat. He took it then sat waiting for the man across from him to speak.
“We have a huge increase in sales and we need to produce. We’re putting all our best workers on mandatory seven-day, twelve hour shifts for the next three weeks. So while your bank account will be happy, your social life will take a hit,” he said smiling.
“Starting when?” Henry asked.
“Right now.”
Henry thought about his date with Millie. “For three weeks?” he inquired.
The foreman nodded. “We gotta meet this demand.”
Henry shrugged. “Okay, I have to do what I have to do.”
“Thanks Henry. You’re one of our top workers and you have a bright future here at Ford.”
“Thanks.” Henry stood and went back to his station.
When he returned, Bill looked over at him in question. Henry went back to his parts not looking forward to telling Millie that he needed to postpone their date. Working eighty-four hours per week would definitely increase in wallet, but how would it affect his courtship?
Now, he’d be out of commission for three weeks and Bill was sniffing like a wolf on the prowl. He could feel that Bill had questions but he knew not to ask them. He’d find out soon enough about the extra shifts and Henry figured that Bill had not been one of the ones chosen to work since the foreman had moved on, calling other workers into the break room.
Henry had told Millie that he’d call later that night, but decided that he needed to see her in person to tell her about the change in plans. He just hoped that she understood…
Chapter 10
Henry arrived on Millie’s porch that evening and rang the doorbell. Standing, he quietly waited until she answered the door.
“Henry!” she said happily opening the screen door and stepping outside.
Henry took her into his arms and kissed her forehead. “Hello Millie.”
“What are you doing here?” she asked looking him over in his work uniform.
“Can we take a short ride?” he asked quietly.
Millie stared at him. “Is something wrong?”
He took her hand. “No, nothing wrong. I just want to talk to you.”
Hesitantly she agreed. “Okay.”
Henry led her to the car and opened the door for her. After settling her inside, he drove them to the nearby park where they’d practiced. He took her hand again and they walked to the empty bleachers taking seats beside one another
“I have to postpone our date Millie,” Henry told her.
He watched her face fall. “Why?”
“I’ve been put on a mandatory work schedule for the next three weeks. Twelve hours a day for seven days,” he explained.
Millie frowned. “What? That’s crazy.”
Henry shrugged.
“We have to meet the demand for the cars and the extra money will help my savings.” Millie looked away.
“I’m sorry Millie,” Henry said turning her face back to his. “I promise I will make it up to you.”
“Are you disappointed about changing our date?”
“Yes ma’am. I didn’t want to come and tell you this,” he answered.
Millie looked into honest brown eyes. “I know I’m being selfish, but I’m so sad.” She pouted.
“Aww Millie, don’t do that.” Henry lifted her onto his lap, holding her close. “I never want to make my girl sad.”
She clasped her arms around his neck. “Three weeks is a long time Henry.”
“You’ll wait for me?” he asked watching her.
Millie smiled slowly. “Of course I’ll wait for you Henry Patterson.” She touched his face. “A handsome, sweet, charming guy like you? I’ll wait as long as necessary ‘cause my momma didn’t raise no fool.”
Henry laughed softly. “I’m going to take you on the best date of your life Millie Gaines.”
“I don’t think you can top what happened the last time I was at your apartment,” she told him blushing.
Henry whispered in her ear. “Yeah, I can.”
Millie’s eyes widened as she turned redder. “How do you know how to do that?”
“I may not have gone to college, but I know lots of things Millie.” He kissed her lips gently. “Things that can make a pretty woman real happy.”
“You made me real happy.” She kissed him back. “I’m still remembering it.”
Henry pulled her closer now kissing her fully, tangling his tongue with hers. Millie marveled at how skilled he was at pleasuring her mouth. The way his tongue stroked hers causing warmth all over her body. She moved closer pressing her body against his.
Henry moved away from her mouth to kiss her neck. “I hope these three weeks go by real fast,” he said against her skin.
“At least you don’t have time to give Helen ‘a hand’.” Millie said sarcastically.
Henry lifted his face to hers. “Are you serious?”
Millie remained silent.
“You know I was only helping her for you,” he pointed out.
“Then you have no business with her anymore.”
Henry shook his head. “No ma’am.”
