Grys felt his cock tighten and kick inside her right before he exploded and planted his seed within her. He had the most amazing wife in existence. Shy and scared as she was, he knew she’d kept up with him and given him all she had. He was so impressed by her it made his chest hurt. He stared down at her and pressed a short, sweet kiss to her lips. “You’re unbelievable.”

  Chapter Ten

Grys and Carissa thought they might never get enough of each other. They’d not worn clothes or left the house in three days. Carissa lay in bed, her head tucked into the crook of Grys’ arm, staring at the ceiling. They’d need to go out today. Yesterday Grys' communicator had been going crazy, beeping to the point where they couldn’t ignore it. Now they were expected at his parents'.

She turned her head and pressed her lips to his chest. She loved being so close to him. She loved the way he smelled and the way she fit right next to him. She’d never been happier in her life. She continued to kiss Grys’ chest, gradually crawling up until she was on top of him. She bent down and planted a peck on his lips. “Wake up, sleepy head.”

Grys groaned but took her hips in his hands. Carissa bent down and planted another peck on his lips. “Come on. We can’t stay in bed all day today. You promised your father we’d be there for dinner.”

Grys shifted beneath her, his eyes still closed. He rocked her hips gently so she’d have to move back along his body. He groaned again as her ass made contact with his stiff cock. Carissa bent down and pecked his lips another time—but before she could sit up, Grys bit down on her lower lip, trapping her against him. “Weee haf t go.” She tried in vain to tell him, as he sucked her lip into his mouth and used his hands to cause her ass to massage his shaft.

Leaned forward the way she was and Grys moving her hips the way he was, she was going to lose it. The sweet friction of his dick against her ass while her clit rubbed against his stomach; she was halfway over the edge and he wasn’t even trying.

Grys let her lip go but just one second after he eased a finger inside her, teasing her. He kept his eyes closed but a smile spread across his face. “You were trying to say something.” He started to move his finger in and out of her in time with the rocking of her hips. Carissa sat up straighter and looked down at her husband, and the smug look on his face. So she didn’t say anything. She brought her hands to her breasts, squeezing them before bringing her nipples between her thumbs and forefingers, pinching. The moan that escaped her as she sent vicious thoughts of herself on her knees with his taste on her tongue was a combination he couldn’t hide from. Carissa watched as his eyes popped open. “You’re an evil female. You know that don’t you.”

She smiled at him as he lifted her hips and replaced his finger with his cock. “You know we’re gonna be late now,” she told him as she slid down, letting his hardness fill her.

Grys bucked beneath her. “Don’t care,” he said as he brought his hand between them and pressed his thumb to her throbbing clit. Carissa was lost.

  ***

“You’re late,” his father complained as soon as Grys stepped in the house.

“Only fifteen minutes. You’re lucky we came at all.”

Carissa stifled a giggle as an image of Grys coming on her chest, his red seed covering her breasts, passed between them.

“Everyone is in the living room. Let’s go.”

Grys took Carissa by the hand and they followed his father into the living room. Everyone in the family that she’d met was there, plus another male that she assumed was another brother. Grys motioned for her to sit on the couch next to Maria and went to stand behind her next to Tylr.

Their father cleared his throat. “Now that we’re all here we have some things to discuss. As you know we’ve had some run-ins with the Mcys as of late.” He looked at Tylr. “And those issues have yet to be addressed. The offenses cannot go unpunished, even if the outcome was better than anyone could have hoped for.” He looked first at Maria and then at Carissa. “My dear daughters-in-law aside, something must be done.”

  “Father.”

Grys couldn’t believe what he was hearing. Tylr was interrupting their father. He moved a little bit closer to Carissa just in case the old man lost it.

“I apologize for the interruption, but I must insist.” Tylr looked down at his wife. He put his hands on her shoulders, and she reached up to cover one of them with her own. It seemed to give him strength. “I know you won’t like what I’m about to say, but I have to say it. I think we should let it go.” Tylr braced himself for the onslaught. What he was saying was basically treason. All the males in the room tensed. Tylr swallowed and continued. “It was my fault. I tried to take Drrrl’s female. He was just doing what comes natural when protecting a mate.”

Grys watched their father take a deep breath and could almost see him considering his words. After a long silence, the older male spoke. “Tylr, though I’m glad to see that you’re maturing, an offense as great as transporting you to a closed planet, injured, and leaving you for dead cannot be overlooked. Your actions did not warrant the severity their response, and it must be handled appropriately.”

Grys watched as Tylr tensed and Maria grabbed his hand tighter. He could feel the fear coming off of Carissa. He laid a hand on her shoulder and sent her images of him embracing her, so that she could feel him protecting her. He wouldn’t do it. He was not going to let a war happen. He’d do all he could to protect his family. His father had no idea what he was asking. They’d already lost too much in the feud. Retaliation could wait. There were more pressing things.

His brother was so tense. There had to be something more than this. Grys wondered if Tylr would spill. He’d have to try to get him alone and find out. He hoped it was something small. Grys could see that Tylr and his bride, were mentally discussing something. After all they were linked like Grys and Carissa were. They could be in a crowded room, but could always be alone if they chose to be. Maria took hold of Tylr’s other hand and Grys knew. He squeezed Carissa shoulders and waited.

Tylr straightened his spine and looked directly at his father. “I will not start a war while we’re starting a family.”

  Epilogue

Carissa was happy to be taking a break from Htfld. It was nice to see other people and do other things. They’d been at the space station for two days, and she was enjoying her time immensely. After the bombshell had been dropped at the family dinner, the king had had to reconsider his stance on the Mcys. He couldn’t, wouldn’t risk the continuance of their family line, even for the feud.

Carissa was sitting at the Earth restaurant waiting for Maria, her train of thought getting away from her. Though there weren’t many of them, she knew the females of Htfld were against any kind of war with the Mcys…so what if they all just kept getting pregnant? Maria was already with child. If she was pregnant while Maria wasn’t, then maybe they could help prevent a war.

Maria’s appearance at the table brought Carissa back to the moment. “Have you been waiting long? I’m sorry. I was ordering more fabric and got a bit carried away.”

Carissa shook her head at her friend. “No. You’re fine. What are you making now?”

Maria shrugged. “No idea, but picking out fabric is fun.”

Just then a server came to their table. “Can I get you two ladies something to drink?”

“Of course. I’d like a lemonade and my friend will have an iced tea.” Maria looked up at the male. “Scott, meet Carissa. Carissa, this is Scott.”

Scott smiled at Carissa. “Nice to meet you. I’ll be back with your drinks.”

Carissa decided to share her plan with Maria. “Maria, do you think if we both can stay pregnant, maybe we can stop the king from wanting war with the Mcys.”

Maria smiled and laughed. She put her hands across her stomach. “I have to admit. I didn’t think it would deter him. He’s so stubborn. They all are. I’m happy it did though. I wouldn’t worry about it though. I think we can handle this without having to be knocke
d up all the time.”

  “Really? How so?”

Maria leaned into the table and lowered her voice. “Well, you’ll never guess who I just saw in the bathroom … Lela.”
