The look of wonder on Mina's face changed to incredulity as the bodies that were stacked like firewood suddenly ignited under his gaze.
"What are you," she asked in awe as her whole world view on mages was systematically being broken down by the tall black man that had saved her.
"I have no idea, but I would be glad to discuss what I am back at my home. Being surrounded by wilderness and next to a pile of ashes doesn't exactly sound to me like a place to figure it out." Cade finished his answer nonchalantly before realizing the implication of his statement.
Whether or not the gorgeous panther woman noticed he had just solicited the woman.
"If that's ok with you, that is," Cade said in a rush in an attempt to correct his faux pas.
"I am more than ok with that idea Cade. I would also prefer a better venue for our...discussion." Mina said with a grin as she agreed to visit his home.
Cade again was thrown off by the use of another earth word, this time its use was less obvious and he ignored it as he assumed the word was used on this world too.
"Well let's get back to the boat and we can make our way to my home," he said as he turned from the smoldering ashes. Mina's smile as she followed was the only answer to his request.
As they left the camp Cade stole a few glances at the panther woman's figure as she walked a few paces ahead of him as they made the short walk back to the beach.
She was just as alluring as her mental doppelganger had been.
His 25-year-old body agreed wholeheartedly as his pulse increased as he caught a small whiff of her scent as a small breeze hit them as they stepped out of the treeline.
Suppressing a groan as her feminine smell sent a thrill through him and caused his hands to clench involuntarily.
Cade relaxed his hands as he thought about running his hands across her curves wondering if her short fur was as soft as it looked.
"Fuck I'm a furry!" Cade suddenly thought to himself.
Stealing another glance at the beautiful woman as her hips swayed in counterpoint to her long black tail as she kept walking after he had frozen at the taboo thought.
He amended his sudden thought as he was mesmerized by the motion.
"Fuck it ill be a mother fucking furry for her," Cade thought as he began walking towards her after she looked over her shoulder at him, a question written on her face as to why he had stopped.
Pulling himself out of the haze of lust that came over him he looked down to his left where she was walking next to him after he caught up.
He was surprised as he caught Mina sniffing the air in his direction with a grin before looking up at him then quickly back down.
He smiled as a small collar of pitch-black hair raised around her neck.
Cade's smile grew into a grin at her reaction and unable to control himself at what he assumed was a blush snuck a glance of his own at the ass that was presently switching as she walked slightly ahead of him, her long black tail slightly twisting and curling.
Letting a soft groan out despite himself, her ass was plump but pert, shapely, and supple in the tight leather pants.
He slowed to collect himself, He knew he wanted this woman, and if their chemistry so far was any indication the feeling was mutual, but who Mina was as a person was still a mystery.
Cade thought back to some of the memories he had seen and it struck him he was eager to find out.
He almost laughed as he remembered Tony and his first meeting, the parallels to Mina and Cade's apparent attraction causing him to reminisce.
Cade thought back to when he first met Tony, their chemistry had been out of this world.
That first date afterward had been magical and he was unashamed to admit they had slept together that night.
He wasn't opposed to having relations with Mina, but a relationship with the gorgeous woman was more of what he wanted.
Cade needed a partner in crime as it were, someone who had your back regardless of the situation.
He was willing to grow what he and Mina were beginning to cultivate. Could he strike gold once again, could the life he was building here include the alluring woman?
Shaking himself mentally, Cade realized he was being a LOT of a bit of a creeper.
"Let's just get through today before we think about wedding bells." Cade thought to himself, as they made it to the barge.
"Is everything ok Cade?" asked Mina as she turned to look at him.
"Yes just thinking," Cade replied.
"And what could you be thinking about that would have you in this state?" Mina asked as she looked Cade over, smirking at him as her gaze stopped on the front of his gator skin pants where a noticeable bulge was extended down to his mid-thigh.
He noticed where her eyes had stopped and realized he was caught.
Blushing a dark purple in embarrassment he decided to run with it. "How about some drinks first before you start admiring the goods" he responded as he covered said goods.
Mina barked out a laugh at the action "I thought I saw a weapon hidden in your pants and feared for my safety" she responded to his jab.
"I don't think you will have to worry for your safety," Cade said with a grin as he removed his hands, Mina's playful tone rendering the action moot.
"Why not?" Mina asked with a pout as she crossed her arms.
Cade almost gave in to the cute pout and took what the gorgeous woman was clearly offering, almost.
"While I would love to assault you any day, a little time to get to know one another would be nice," he said as they stepped on board the barge, his lust cooling slightly at the thought of conversing with the panther woman.
"Agreed Cade," Mina said as she stretched out on the barge, drawing his gaze like a magnet to her voluptuous curves.
Shaking his head to snap himself out of the trance the beautiful woman had put him in so easily with a thought he sent them back downriver towards his home.
Floating down the river a few minutes later Cade had plenty on his mind as the current provided all the power required for them to make it back to his home.
Adding a small course adjustment, he decided they had enough time in their heads.
With more than a day left till they made it home to plan out an attack on the slaver camp, using that time to have their discussion and get to know one another wouldn't hurt.
Cade decided to be the first to break the ice.
Clearing his throat he began.
"You asked earlier what I am, sorry to tell you I am not really sure myself."
"That tells me nothing Cade" Mina replied not unkindly.
"This power of yours as you call it is like nothing I have seen before. What I have seen you do is unprecedented. You simply walk into my mind and tame my guardians as if it was nothing. Then you heal me as I lay near death. Then you tear apart a man with your gaze. Then you move items and people with that same gaze. And to top it all you burn the bodies of those people with that same gaze." Mina said her voice rising in shock as she listed Cade's achievements.
"That's me a jack of all trades and master of them all," he replied, as his ego inflated.
"That is not all I can do I can control water," Cade said as he raised a volleyball-sized ball of water from the river around them.
He grinned as Mina's eyes widened as he froze the water before dropping it back into the river.
"I can also control earth and metal," Cade said as he warped the metal links on the chains sitting on the bottom of the boat into various designs.
"And the very air around us." He finished his demonstration on his powers by creating a soft breeze that blew through Mina's black locks, bringing a smile to her face as the light breeze caressed her fur.
"My thoughts on it are that I use telekinesis to control the atoms that make up us and everything around us," Cade said with a grimace waiting on the inevitable.
"What are atoms, and what is telekinesis?" Mina asked with a curious but attentive look on her feline face.
Taking a breath to begin his
lesson Cade began "So everything, and I do mean everything is made up of atoms which chain together and make up molecules and those, in turn, make up everything we are, this boat, the air we breathe the water we drink all of creation when broken down to its smallest parts are made of atoms".
During his impromptu chemistry lesson, Mina's face grew more and more confused.
Cade decided a demonstration was in order.
Pulling another ball of water from the river he began.
"So this ball of water is you," he said before he thought of a better demonstration tool.
Morphing the water into an approximation of Mina took little effort.
"I hope this will make it easier to understand. This is you and this" pausing for a moment he pulled off a small softball-sized portion of water from his Mina analog.
"Is a very very big molecule. The ones that actually make up your body are so small you can't see them with your eyes. They make up your whole body and everything we can see, touch, or taste." He removed a smaller portion of water no bigger than a sand grain from the softball-sized globe of water.
"And this is an enormous atom, I can't begin to explain to you how much smaller an atom is to this tiny bit of water," Cade said his eyes lit up with wonder as he contemplated the ability he had been given when he arrived in this world.
"And this is what you control Cade?" Mina asked, disbelief written across her face.
"Yes, that is what I believe. Though it is hard to argue with the results." He said with a smile.
"And the tele..telekinesis, what is that then?" Mina asked.
Cade was glad for the attention that was being given, as Mina's golden eyes locked onto his grey ones.
"Telekinesis is just being able to move things around with your mind," he said as he hoped the oversimplification of the term would sink in.
"Like hitting something with an arrow just without the arrow," Mina said with a huge grin that showed off her large canines.
Cade had a monetary flash of fear as he contemplated those long sharp teeth sinking into his flesh.
His fear fled as he remembered that there wasn't much the woman could do to him that would really hurt him.
"Aww, he went away, why?" Mina said in a sad voice that tugged on more than Cade's heartstrings.
"Just had a moment of body dysmorphia, it's past though," he said as he contemplated hugging the distraught woman.
"Dysmorphia?" Mina said quizzically.
"Just noting the differences between our bodies is all," Cade said as he laid a hand on Mina's as she sat next to him.
"Good God it is as soft as I thought." Cade thought to himself as he daydreamed about the soft delicate hand stroking him as he ran his hands over the large round breasts straining the leather jerkin the beautiful panther woman was wearing.
"Oh he's back, did you enjoy touching my hand that much Cade?" Mina said with a smile as a soft purr emanated from the large chest he had just been fantasizing about.
"If I say yes can I leave it there?" He asked deciding he would take what he could get for the moment.
"That is fine but is that all you want to touch Cade?" Mina said with a small smile as she once again locked eyes with him.
Cade took the invitation for what it was and shot a hand out to grip the back of the panther woman's neck.
He pulled her into a fierce kiss that caused the low purr to ramp up into a vibration that he could feel in his chest as he slowly deepened the kiss.
Going for broke and testing his limits he slipped a bit of tongue past Mina's lips and was rewarded as the beautiful woman did the same with hers.
The roughness of her tongue was a surprise but not an unpleasant feeling.
He was glad he had scoured the woman's mouth beforehand right before she blew his mind as she moaned into the kiss and hopped into his lap.
"I have made my decision MY Cade. You will be my mate and give me your kits." Mina declared as she pulled away from the kiss and ground their pelvises together, pulling a growly moan from her mouth and a shocked groan from his.
Cade's scrambled mind thankfully picked up on the key points of that declaration.
"Wait..what...mate...kits?" He said as he fell back and looked up at the beautiful woman straddling his waist.
His dick throbbed with need as he contemplated doing something stupid.
With a massive force of will, he did just that.
"Stop, wait for one-second pleeeeaassee." Cade's willpower wavered on the precipice of giving in to the slow grinding of Mina's hips against his own.
Marshaling what brain and willpower he had left he gripped Mina's hips firmly to stop her from eroding what sense he had left.
"Do you want me to stop my Cade?" Mina asked with a smirk as Cade's hips pumped involuntarily.
"no?...Yes? yes...just one second, please. I just want you to explain what you said a second ago...please." He asked with pride as his willpower asserted itself once more.
His pride was diminished somewhat by the throbbing of his member still trapped within his pants threatened to drive him to throw caution to the wind and ravish the panther woman who was apparently going to be his mate.
"It is as simple as that my Cade, I have chosen you to be my mate. You will take that weapon that is throbbing against me and give me your seed and your kits. You will be mine and I will be yours, forever." Mina said as she finished her plan with another grind of her hips.
The constant smirk she had been wearing grew into a shit-eating grin as Cade's hands shook as his willpower crumbled a little at the idea of impregnating Mina.
"Fuck" Cade said breathlessly as that was all he could get out at that moment.
He rallied his crumbling willpower once again, one last attempt to clarify the situation was all he had left in him.
"Is there anything else to it, I figured there would be a little courting first," Cade asked with a clear voice he was immensely proud of.
"You will have to earn the right, of course, a fight between me and you will happen once we reach your home. If you win I will be yours." Mina said matter of factly.
"And if I lose," he asked hesitantly, he was sure the woman couldn't kill him but she could make her attempts hurt.
"I doubt you will lose my Cade, but if you do I might let you try again until you do," Mina said with a smile.
"Well since we aren't going to break this boat in right now, no matter how much I want to, let's get back to that talk, please. Before I get blue balls." Grumbling out the last part he reluctantly removed his hands from Mina's hips with a small groan.
"That is fine my Cade, all things should be done in order. Though it seems a shame to let this wonderful weapon go to waste." Mina said with a small frown as she stood up from Cade's lap and sat down facing him.
Slowly getting control of his scrambled mind, he decided the rest of the story of the origin of his powers would have to wait for another day.
"So tell me about yourself," he asked as he sat up shakily, groaning as the sensitive flesh on his engorged member rubbed against his pants.
