I Have A Super USB Drive

  "Okay!"

As Little X replied, Chen Chen turned on his laptop and continued extracting crystalline from the USB drive.

After two months of cultivation, Chen Chen felt that his body had recovered to its initial state and could continue to endure the radiation of the crystalline.

  One, two, three pieces…

This time, Chen Chen had absorbed twenty-two pieces of crystalline in one go, reserving only 50 kilograms worth of energy within the USB drive.

When the last of the crystalline had been absorbed, Chen Chen wiped away the blood from his nose and stretched himself. His whole body made cracking noises.

Chen Chen could clearly sense that his "Field" had grown stronger…

Therefore, he looked at the poker cards scattered all around and beckoned gently.

Instantly, the poker cards within two meters of him flew up, whirled giddily in the air, and returned to Chen Chen's hand in a neat curve!

Chen Chen smiled. He shut his eyes matter-of-factly and continued stepping forward.

As he moved forward, his hand was like a vacuum cleaner that constantly sucked in the scattered poker cards, which returned to his palm like sheep returning to their flock.

Right, the first time he had only absorbed nine crystalline fragments and his control over his "Field" had only extended to one meter. This time, having absorbed twenty-two pieces, his range of control over "Field" had increased from one meter to around two meters instantly.

He had just absorbed the crystalline, but already Chen Chen felt that his command over "Field" had become more assured.

With a mental prod from Chen Chen, a poker card flew out with a "whoosh", hitting the wall ten meters away with a loud "thud"!

  "Boss? It's me, Wenhuan."

At this point, Qian Wenhuan's voice came through the electronic lock.

Chen Chen turned toward the door and gestured gently with his right hand. Instantly, the entire deck of cards floated into the air, then fell gently, but amazingly enough, they landed into a tidy stack on the table behind him, not an inch out of place!

After that, Chen Chen kicked the crystalline pieces whose power had been exhausted into a corner. Only then did he snap his fingers to signal Little X to open the door.

The red light on the electronic lock turned green and Qian Wenhuan walked in with a welded iron box.

"Boss, here's the thing you asked for."

Qian Wenhuan glanced around curiously and noticed the bloodstains on Chen Chen's shirt. His expression changed suddenly. "Boss, are you feeling unwell lately?"

  "Unwell?"

Chen Chen cracked his neck and said softly with a smile, "I've never felt better."

Chapter 166: Graphene Poker Cards |

"Boss, I think you should do a checkup. After all, frequent nosebleeds for two months in a row may be a sign of leukemia…"

Qian Wenhuan recalled that this had happened to Chen Chen two months ago and he looked worried. "You're only twenty-two this year. You should still have plenty of time left to squander, so don't overwork yourself. After all, you've accomplished so much. If you collapse, all of this would fall into the hands of others…"

"Don't worry. Didn't I just get a blood test recently?"

Chen Chen waved his hand. "I'm just heaty, that's all. It's fine."

  "Okay…"

Seeing this, Qian Wenhuan could only nod. He then took out the iron box. "This is what you asked for."

"Is this functionalized graphene obtained through oxidation?" Chen Chen asked.

  "It seems so…"

Qian Wenhuan scratched his head. "I heard from Professor Farad that this thing is harder and tougher than ordinary graphene sheets. However, to maintain this strength and toughness, Professor Farad had to stack 10 layers of this graphene. He said that this thing is very dangerous and should be used with care."

"10 layers of functionalized graphene, is that it?"

Chen Chen nodded and took the iron box. "Good, that should do it."

After sending Qian Wenhuan away, Chen Chen locked the door of the laboratory again.

As the opening date of the Eco Science City approached, Qian Wenhuan barely had time for a break as he was so busy preparing for the opening ceremony. Even so, no matter what order Chen Chen gave, Qian Wenhuan would personally attend to it.

This was also a type of sincerity.

Chen Chen shook his head. It looked like he would have to reward Qian Wenhuan by promoting him whenever possible.

However, on second thought, Qian Wenhuan was already the general manager here in the African Continent. There was no way for him to rise further, so Chen Chen gave up on the idea of compensating Qian Wenhuan.

After all this, Chen Chen gently opened the iron box. At once he could see the thin, almost-transparent pieces that lay in the box.

Graphene transmitted light very well. Although many layers were stacked together now, they still allowed light to reach the bottom of the box, like glass.

Qian Wenhuan mentioned that this thing was dangerous, which was true.

After all, what was graphene? It was a layer of carbon atoms. A layer of carbon atoms was called a layer of graphene and the thickness of a single carbon atom was only 0.34 nanometers.

Currently, what Chen Chen had was a 10-layer structure of graphene, which was 3.4 nanometers thick. This was only one twenty-thousandth of the thickness of a hair.

Moreover, this graphene layer had been especially oxidized, which meant that the edges of this material were incredibly sharp.

The serrations at the edge of the graphene could easily pierce the cell membrane of humans and penetrate the human body. It was thus extremely lethal to humans and other animals.

Graphene was first separated from graphite by two physicists at the University of Manchester in Europe: Andre Geim and Konstantin Novoselov.

Due to this, both of them had won the 2010 Nobel Prize in Physics.

From then on, the physics community gained this material called graphene. It was a two-dimensional crystal, the strongest substance known to mankind, and even tougher than diamonds.

It was not only the thinnest material but also the strongest. Its ultimate tensile strength was 200 times stronger than steel.

A laboratory in North America once did an experiment. Before the graphene particles began to split, they could withstand a pressure of about 2.9 micro Newton per 100 nanometers. This was equivalent to having to apply a pressure of 55N to break a 1 meter-long graphene.

If this graphene was made into the thickness of ordinary food-packaging plastic bags, then a pressure of 20,000N would be required to tear the packaging bag.

In other words, if a packaging bag was made out of graphene, it could withstand two tons of items.

In that case, how strong was the ten-layer graphene sheet in Chen Chen's possession?

With this in mind, Chen Chen sent out a thought. Immediately, a sheet, so thin it was almost transparent, floated up. Chen Chen observed intently and saw that it was about the size of a poker card.

Nonetheless, unlike a poker card, this sheet was practically transparent. If he was not paying extra attention, he would not have noticed it there.

Although this graphene sheet was very thin, it was very tough too, not much different from a playing card. Chen Chen thought about it, then simply picked up a book, opened it to the middle, and placed it standing on the table.

After that, Chen Chen controlled the graphene he was staring at. Similar to the poker cards, he exerted a force and the graphene sheet flew forward without a noise.

  "Rip!"

There was a tearing sound that was almost inaudible. Chen Chen looked carefully, only to see that a few pages in the middle of the book had been severed in half!

Chen Chen cautiously picked the book up. Right in the center of the book, there was a clean, horizontal slit, about ten centimeters long, which extended to the back pages too.

The surface of the cut was incomparably smooth as if the book w
as printed like this…

This was an attack on the molecular level.

Chen Chen raised his eyes and looked past the book. He saw that there was a pen holder behind it. The thin graphene layer was embedded in the pen holder, revealing only a small section.

  This power…

Chen Chen was dumbstruck. If he used this method to attack someone, what would the result be? It was likely that the person, even if they died, would not know how they died.

As it was so thin, they would not even feel any pain. At most, there would be a slight itch at their neck. They would reach out to scratch their neck and the adhesion between flesh and blood would fall apart before their head would fall off with a snap…

Chen Chen did not use his hands but continued using the power of "Field" to tug out the graphene sheet. He saw that one corner of the sheet had been completely shattered.

When he saw this, Chen Chen was able to confirm something.

This meant that, although the 10-layer graphene sheet could cut objects that had weaker tensile strength, it still could not cut harder materials.

After all, it was too thin.

Still, even though it could not cut through metal, its power was sufficient for Chen Chen's use.

With this in mind, Chen Chen aimed his "Field" at the iron box and lifted all the graphene sheets. He counted — there were a hundred graphene "poker cards" in total.

He nodded and collected these graphene sheets again, keeping them in the box.

These graphene sheets were too deadly. If one used their hands, one would easily get injured. Plus, as they were too thin, they would break easily when force was applied. No one else besides Chen Chen could use this kind of thing as a weapon.

Just when Chen Chen had finished his experiment, Little X had a notification.

"Sir Godfather, the Meyer Shipyard in Germany has just sent a message that construction for your customized cruise ship, the Blacklight, has been completed and is ready for collection!"

  Chapter 167: The Blacklight |

  "Ta-da, this is your 'Blacklight'."

Two days later, outside the Meyer dock in Papenburg, the general manager of the Meyer Shipyard pointed to the dock in front and proclaimed loudly to Chen Chen.

Chen Chen looked at where he had pointed. A large group of people stood on the pier, looking at the dock that was the size of a hill, by the sea.

Three towing boats tugged at the towing ropes at full horsepower, pulling straight the steel cables that were as thick as arms.

The other end of the steel cables was connected to a pitch-black mammoth vessel within the dock.

Tens of thousands of people had formed a dense crowd on the pier. These were the local residents of Papenburg. With nothing better to do, they had come to watch the launching ceremony of cruise ships.

Meyer Shipyard had spread the news. Apparently, they had paid money to be a trending topic, announcing to the world that they had built the world's largest cruise liner — the Blacklight.

Currently, as Chen Chen observed the large crowd of onlookers that had gathered on the pier, he mused to himself that it was not just Chinese people who enjoyed a spectacle. This probably applied universally to everyone in the world.

As the tugboats kept up their effort, a black behemoth slowly revealed its head. The bow of the Blacklight, which was being pulled forward by the tugboats, appeared in everyone's visions.

There was a collective gasp from the crowd of onlookers.

  Black!

This tanker had been painted black all over, which was a rare sight!

Not only that, but on both sides of the main deck, they could also see a massive logo. It was a black ball that was surrounded by red and yellow lights.

Under the contrast of the lights, the black ball looked just like a black hole…

This was the Blacklight, which could also be called the Blackwatch.

As more of the ship was revealed, its presence grew stronger and stronger. It was four hundred and four meters long, eighty meters wide, and seventy-five meters high. This gigantic ship had completely redefined the limits of cruise ships in the Federation!

Half an hour later, when the stern had broken free of the dock, the crowd erupted into an enthusiastic cheer. Chen Chen and the people from the shipyard who were standing on a platform of the dock also applauded.

  "Congratulations, Mr. Chen Chen."

The general manager of Meyer Shipyard shook hands with Chen Chen and joked. "This is the largest cruise ship in the Earth Federation to date. Even if it's ranked among all the ships in the world, it must be in the top ten. I heard that you've previously rented Royal Caribbean's cruise ship, the Symphony of the Seas. Presently, the ship you've ordered is much larger, whether in terms of length or width. I don't know if you've hired employees — this ship can't even move without one or two thousand employees."

Chen Chen nodded. "Fortunately, I've poached the captain and the staff who worked specifically in engine navigation from the Symphony of the Seas by offering a higher salary. With them, I should be able to operate the Blacklight."

"Then, I can be rest assured…"

The general manager of Meyer Shipyard laughed dryly.

As they were exchanging their pleasantries, the tugboats had pulled the Blacklight to moor at a port a few hundred meters away from the dock. The crew members who had been waiting a long time boarded instantly, including the white-bearded Captain Bernard of the Symphony of the Seas.

However, from the next second onward, he would be the captain of the Blackwatch.

Finally, Chen Chen and the personnel from the Meyer Shipyard followed suit and boarded the ship. A podium had already been prepared on the bow deck and all the employees on Chen Chen's ship had lined up automatically, quietly waiting for Chen Chen's speech.

Chen Chen had always disdained such bureaucratic speeches. After a few careless lines, he picked up a pair of scissors and quickly cut the rope on the bow, causing a suspended bottle of champagne to smash into the bow of the ship.

  "Crash!"

As the sound of shattering glass rang out, everyone applauded. This was the launching ceremony of the ship. The west had always used this form of "bottle-smashing ceremony" to celebrate a ship's official entry into the big family that was the ocean.

When this cruise ship was designed, Chen Chen had added a core power room, as was his habit. After the motors on the ship generated the electricity, it would pass through here first before being distributed to the engines and cabins.

A total of 12 Leroy-Somer LSA62 generators had been installed on the ship, providing a total power of 240,000 kilowatts, which was 2.4 times more than the Symphony of the Sea. Now that Chen Chen thought about it, this would be his largest device to generate electricity before the official operation of the nuclear power plant.

A few days later, Chen Chen had cleared the red tape of various countries. He boarded the Blacklight and left Germany directly, moving from the Heligoland Bight to the Strait of Dover, then passing through the English Channel, and finally entering the Atlantic Ocean.

The Blacklight traversed the entire Atlantic Ocean in only eight days. From Europe, it returned to Africa and arrived at Walvis Bay.

  Eight days flew by quickly.

In the early morning of the ninth day, as the Blacklight berthed at Walvis Bay for the first time, Chen Chen also got off the cruise ship.

Qian Wenhuan was waiting on the dock, like clockwork. He opened the car door for Chen Chen and suddenly asked tentatively, "Boss, do you have any recent plans for this ship?"

"Not for now. I'll have to recruit more people first," Chen Chen responded.

"In that case, shall we hold the press conference for the Eco Science City here?"

Qian Wenhuan seemed delighted. "At the moment, newspapers all over the world are promoting the launch of the world's largest cruise ship. With all this buzz, let's hold the press conference on the cruise ship. Wouldn't it better reflect the strength of our company'
s technology and funding?"

"Sure. You take care of it then."

Chen Chen nodded nonchalantly. "When do you plan to hold the press conference?"

"Ten days later, on 1 April," Qian Wenhuan replied.

  "An April Fools' Day conference?"

  Chen Chen laughed. "How interesting."

"Will you…" Qian Wenhuan asked uncertainly.

  "I won't be joining."

Chen Chen patted Qian Wenhuan's shoulder and spoke in an encouraging voice, "I'll leave it all to you then. Keep up the good work — I have faith in you."

  "…"

Cheng Cao was still playing the part of the mute driver. After he drove Chen Chen back to the research center, Chen Chen immediately went to the hidden human cloning laboratory on the 6th floor of the laboratory building.

  "Boss!"

  "Boss!"

In the laboratory, a group of researchers was bustling around and they immediately saluted Chen Chen when he arrived. Hannibal and Li Lei came in and greeted him too.

Chen Chen nodded, then looked at massive cylinders behind. There were over a hundred of them.

These cylinders were situated at the back of the laboratory. They were the life incubators that Chen Chen had been using.

These life incubators were much larger than the previous ones. They were about forty centimeters in diameter and two meters in height, with a body made entirely of tempered glass.

The life incubators were filled with a turbid, pale yellow liquid. Currently, a large number of bubbles kept forming in the liquid before they rose to the surface with a gurgle.

Through the yellow liquid within the glass, one could vaguely make out a figure, curled up like a fetus, floating up and down.

These figures looked like fifteen or sixteen-year-olds, but the strange thing was, their belly buttons were still attached to umbilical cords.

The ends of these umbilical cords were connected to a large number of pipes, which extended from the inside of the life incubator, out to a huge apparatus behind.

Chen Chen stared at the large number of life incubators in front of him. Some of them were cloned bodies of the members of the eleven Disciple families while the rest were clones that Chen Chen would use to conduct experiments.
