Maya quickly interrupted. "But he ain't tellin' the truth Yanna!" She yelled with fresh tears in her eyes.
"No Maya. You the one who ain't tellin' the truth. You already goin' off and you don't even know what the fuck Ju told me. He showed me a picture of his other daughter and her and Lex could be twins. It's time to come clean Maya. Ju deserves a chance to get to know his child. And how the hell could you lie to me? Of all people Maya, damn I'm your sister. Why didn't you come to me?" I asked.
Maya stuck to her guns and said. "I fuckin' told you that Ju is lying. He's not her father, Mel is. For some reason Ju is obsessed with the thought of us bein' one big happy family. You have to believe me Yanna."
"I can't believe you Yanna. You've really convinced yourself that Mel's Lexus's father. Well, you need to snap back into reality sweetie. Explain the reason Lexus looks just like Ju's daughter," I challenged her.
She shrugged her shoulders. "Coincidence I guess."
I laughed a sarcastic laugh. "Ju was right about you. I can't believe you'd lie about something so serious to save your own ass. I thought that out of all the fucked up people in our family there was hope for you. I held you up high Maya. I thought you had a conscience, but I was wrong. You're a dirty bitch and I never thought I’d say that to you. I'm disappointed in you Maya," I said and got up to lay Lexus down before I left.
Maya followed me. "I can't believe you're talkin' to me like this!" She yelled. "You and Mel goin' believe Ju over me? Weren't you the one that went off on Mel for that?'
"That was before I talked to Ju. Until you decide to tell me the real truth I'd rather not talk to you," I said and proceeded to walk to the door.
If Maya wanted to stick to her sick twisted version of the truth to keep Mel I would teach her a lesson. It was either the truth for me or the lies for Mel. Those would be her choices.
"You're supposed to be my sister," she said pitifully as I stepped outside.
"Exactly my point Maya. I'm still your sister, but you need to stand back and take a good look at yourself. I know that I ain't perfect but I'd never bring a child into this world based on a lie." With that said I walked down the stairs without looking back. It was either Mel or me.

I felt the need to go and see my mom, but when I called she was in a session with her psychiatrist. She'd been diagnosed with bipolar disorder about two years prior and they had her on all types of drugs, including Lithium. Like drugs hadn't already ruined her life. The diagnosis did explain the mood swings and the states of deep depression she'd displayed when I was younger. On the other hand she'd be extremely hyper and stay away for days at a time.
I was sitting in the living room drinking some Bicardi Limon and orange juice. I had just finished smoking a blunt and was feeling it when someone knocked on the door. I got up and went to the door. Damien was barking his tail off again. I looked through the peephole, and it was the same white man. I returned to my spot on the couch and continued watching Half Baked. That movie was so hilarious. I was not going to open the door. He would just have to keep on knocking until he got tired. It wasn't like he could bust up in the crib. Or could he? I mean he might not have been five o, but I didn’t answer the door for strangers. Especially not strange white men.
The knocking finally stopped and I decided to call Ablo. I was kind of nervous and I needed him there with me. Damien was good company, but it wasn't the same. I dialed his cell number and waited patiently. It rung six times before he answered sounding out of breath.
"Yeah," he said.
"Yeah? Why the fuck you breathin' all hard?" I asked.
"Ahh, here we go. Why the fuck you askin' dumb questions?" He asked.
"Why the fuck you ain't here yet?" I asked.
"I'm on the grind baby. You know the routine. C'mon boo...chill out. You know I'll be under your fine ass in a lil' while," he said.
"That white man was here again."
"You open the door Yanna?" He asked.
"What the fuck you think?" I asked.
"I'll be there in a lil' bit a'ight. Don't keep callin' me. Don't I come home every night?"
"Come home now," I whined. "I need you here wit' me Ablo. Please...come home."
He sighed. "Baby, did you hear what I said? I'm busy. I'll be home later."
"Why the hell you tryin' to rush me off the phone. You better not be wit' a bitch nigga. I swear to God I will come lookin' for your ass and I bet I'll find you. If I catch you, then it's really over. No more beggin' and pleadin'. I don't wanna see your fake ass tears neither. None of that bullshit," I said angrily.
"Chill Yanna. You trippin' now. I'll be there in 'bout thirty minutes. I'm for real baby. I'm really on some business type shit right now. Give me a few more minutes okay? I'll be there in a minute baby, I promise. I love you...I do," he said sweetly.
I couldn't help but smile despite my ill mood. "I love you too papi.
Chapter 8
Ablo had been a good boy. He came home when he said he would. We even made love and I didn't once think of El. He was becoming a distant memory, and that was fine with me. I was Diablo's girl, and no one else's. He was in the kitchen cooking me breakfast when my cell phone rang. I answered it and the person hung up on me. I looked at the caller ID, but the number hadn't come up.
"Baby, I'm finished cookin'!" Diablo yelled.
I got up and walked into the kitchen to eat breakfast at the table. Diablo didn't believe in eating in bed. He would fix my plate, but not bring it to the bed. He had made strawberry pancakes with strawberry syrup (my favorite). Along with that we had grits, eggs, biscuits, and turkey sausage. He'd also poured me a tall glass of cranberry juice cocktail.
"Mmmm baby, this looks good," I grinned and kissed his lips.
"You look good...especially when you bust. So good. You can get your breakfast cooked every mornin' from now on if you keep puttin' it on me like you did last night." He grabbed me and grinded into me from behind. "You just don't know lil’ ma. You ain't done me like that in a long time. After we get full I wanna do it again."
I smiled and sat down at the table. It was good last night. I was glad I was out of the El phase. "You act like it ain't good all the time," I said.
"Oh, nol boo. I didn't mean to make you think that. Your shit always good as hell. It's just that last night you seemed more into it. The freak came out, and I love that shit. Shit, it was so good my toes started curlin'," he said.
I cut my pancakes and waited for him to sit at the table with me. We said grace and dug in. Diablo never talked while he ate so I didn't bother to say anything. My mind drifted as my eyes focused on the gun that he kept on the table when we ate always. It was a silver plated .45with a black handle.
"Why do you keep this gun on the table?" I asked.
Diablo cleared his throat and focused his eyes on me. Before he said a word he chewed his food and swallowed. "Protection. Your man got enemies. You know that. I gotta keep us alive and out of harm's way." With that said he continued eating.
I sighed and ate my food in silence. When we finished he cleared the table and washed the dishes. He was a good man and I decided to keep the man I had. El was a fantasy and I had to put him out of my mind for good. I couldn't mess up what I had with Ablo. He took care of me, and I was not going to do anything to risk losing him or my life.
After Ablo finished washing the dishes he came to join me in the shower. I felt the cold air as he opened the shower door. I turned around and pulled him into me for a deep, passionate kiss. I felt his hard dick against my leg.
"Damn, you hard already," I said.
"I been hard all mornin'. When I woke up you had the cover kicked off you and you was naked wit' you legs wide open. Your fat pussy was lookin' all pretty, and the lil’ pussy hairs that’s growin’ back was all wet from your juices from earlier. I wanted to put my face down there and inhale you," he said staring at me. I could see the love in his eyes. Or was that just lust?
"Now you can," I s
aid kissing his neck. Then I traced his black cobra tattoo with my tongue. I felt him shiver.
He pulled away from me. "I really wanna marry you," he said.
"Why you talkin' 'bout that?" I asked. I wanted him to shut up and use his mouth for something else.
He smiled at me. "I know what you want," he said slyly.
"What's that?" I asked.
He kissed my breasts and then his tongue traveled down to my belly button. "You want me to eat that pussy don't you?" He asked looking up at me. He’d gotten down on his knees.
"Stop teasin' me. You know you like it just as much as I do."
"Probably more," he laughed. I felt his warm breath between my legs causing my spine to tingle. I closed my eyes. He knew exactly what to do to make me feel good. I was the canvas and his tongue was the paintbrush stroking me like a work of art. His tongue gently teased my clit, and then he started to suck it. I wanted to scream.
"Mmmm, you make me feel so damn good baby," I moaned as he made slurping sounds. He pulled me into his mouth, sucking and licking until my body jerked. "Yesss, mmmm."
"Yeah, that's it. I love suckin' this sweet ass mufucka. You taste so good." His voice was muffled, but I understood him.
"Uhhhh Ablo, baby, eat my pussy....damn...I love you," I said out of breath. He had my whole body tingling.
'Mmmmm...mmmm....mmmmm," he said like I was the tastiest treat he'd ever had. He spread my pussy lips with his fingers. "Look at that fat ass clit. I'm 'bout to make you nut right now."
I was moaning and grabbing his head. "Ohhhh shit....ohhhh fuck! Yes, ohhhh shit, Ablo...eat me baby....eat me....ohhhhh! I'm cumin'...hell yeah....uhhhh!" I screamed. I was nutting so hard I couldn't even move. He stuck his tongue inside me lapping up my juices like he was thirsty as hell. That mufucka had to love me to make me feel that good.
After he finished I was ready for whatever. Then I heard Damien barking and then a loud noise at the door. "You hear that?" I asked just as Ablo was about to hit it from the back.
"Nol, I ain't hear shit. I know what I wanna hear. I wanna hear that wet ass pussy poppin' while I'm up in that mufucka."
"Turn the shower off. I heard a noise at the door and then Damien started barking," I said.
"C'mon baby, I want you bad." He pointed at his dick which was rock hard with big veins sticking out. "You just p-noid."
"Don't be brushin' shit off 'cause you wanna fuck nigga. I heard sumthin'," I snapped turning the shower off. That's when I heard the loud banging at the door again. "See."
"Shhh," Diablo said reaching for our towels. He handed me one. "Get dressed," he whispered wrapping the other towel around his waist. He grabbed a gun from his dresser drawer and got dressed at the same time. Damien was barking out of control again.
I followed close behind Ablo with my blue terry cloth robe on. I had the twenty two in the deep side pocket just in case my boo needed some back up.
Ablo turned around. "What the fuck? Baby, go in the bedroom," he said as the banging grew louder and more persistent.
He looked through the peep hole and then a smile formed on his once strained face.
"What you smilin' for?" I asked.'
"Is this the white dude you saw?" Ablo asked.
I looked through the peephole and nodded. It was the same white guy from before.
“That’s him.”
"That's Greg. We went to high school together. He cool. He my white clientele and shit. I told him I'd look out for him," he said and opened the door. He gave Greg some pound. "What's up man."
"Ain't nuthin' man. I been here a few times, but nobody came to the door. The dog be barkin' though," Greg said sounding black.
"Yo', Greg, this my baby girl Yanna, Yanna this my boy Greg."
We greeted each other and then I left the room before they got into their business conversation. I had other things to do, like go shopping.
Chapter 9
"You serious?" Amaya laughed on the phone with Princess. "I didn't know that Yanna had beat Carmen's ass yesterday. She ain’t been talkin' to me for the last few weeks."
"Yeah girl, Carmen was runnin' her mouth at Kroger of all places. Yanna was beatin' that bitch up and down the damn aisle. Your sister banked her bitch ass," Princess said out of breath.
She was her old self again since La La had been locked up.
"I can't believe Carmen said all that shit. When the hell she get brave?" Maya asked folding some laundry. Mel was in the room with Lexus. Although he'd started to have doubts about her being his, he was still attached to her. He had no words for Maya though. As far as he was concerned their relationship was over.
"So what's up wit' you and Mel?" Princess asked on cue.
"Nothin' girl. Every since Ju told him that shit he ain't been fuckin' wit' me. Damn, I done lost my man and my big sister at the same time," Maya sighed.
"You ain't lost your sister. She just upset right now. She'll get over it and things will be back to normal."
"I hope so, 'cause I miss her."

I rubbed Diablo's sore leg as he flipped through the channels. We'd just gotten back from the Cheesecake Factory. The food was good and the Moet we had just drunk had me feeling light headed.
"Yeah mama, that shit feel good," he said. He'd pulled a hamstring playing basketball at the
gym with the boys.
"I gotta take care of my man," I smiled at him
He stared at the TV as a Jaguar commercial came on. "Now that mufucka hot," he said jumping up on his feet. "Damn boo, look at that car."
"Oh, so a Jag is the cure for that leg?" I asked playfully slapping him on the ass.
"Don't be fuckin' wit' my ass. Oh, ouch, my leg," he said suddenly remembering that he was supposed to be in pain.
'You fake mufucka," I laughed pushing him away playfully. He pulled me into him and kissed me.
"You talked to Maya?" He asked.
"No, and don't want to."
"That's foul Yanna. She your sister."
"So? She lied about some important shit Ablo!" I snapped.
Diablo stared at me. "You so cold hearted at times Yanna. Your fuckin' sister need your ass and that's all you can say. That's fucked up."
"You don't understand," I pouted.
“I do understand that you disappointed in her, but you should at least talk to her."
"Leave it alone Ablo," I warned him. I wasn't in the mood to talk about it.
"Hell no. I ain't goin' leave shit alone. I don't give a fuck if Maya lied. You act like her lie affects you. The lie she told ain't hurtin' nobody but Mel, Lexus, Maya and Ju. You should be there for her right now instead of turnin' your fuckin' back on her. When I lie you talk to me. That's your blood. If anybody know how thick that is it's you. Shit, what? It's been three weeks?" Ablo shook his head and handed me the blunt he'd just lit.
I took a deep pull, exhaled, and thought about what he'd said. One thing I loved about Ablo was the wisdom he portrayed. He made the most complicated thing seem so simple. His words did make sense, but I was so pissed at Maya for not telling me that Mel wasn't my niece’s father. It wasn't the fact that she lied about the father of her child. She'd lied to me; her sister; her best friend.
"Buy why did Maya lie to me Ablo? Of all people? She always confided in me. I'm hurt that she didn't feel that she could come to me," I confessed in tears.
Diablo grabbed me and wrapped his arms around me. I let the tears flow onto his shoulders as his warm hands traveled soothingly up and down my back.
"I know. Let it out boo," he said."
"She is all I got Ablo I've always lived and breathed for her. You know that. She knows that," I cried.
"This shit is hurtin' you baby, but it’s hurtin’ her too. Go and talk to her," Diablo said pulling away to look at me. "And Maya ain't all you got. You got me sweetheart, and you know that. I love you. I can't say that shit enough baby. Regardless what a nigga do I only love one woman, and that's you. I lay it all on the table.
This time I gave you a ring and I mean it. I want you to be my wife. I'm almost thirty years old. I done made almost enough money to go into OG mode. I wanna do that wit' you. Move to the suburbs. Near some fuckin' water. A lake in the backyard in the country and shit. Then we can hire a maid and eat in bed," he winked at me.
