  Chapter 42

By some unforeseen miracle of God, Queen managed to graduate with high honors. To her surprise and relief her professors were more than sympathetic to her dilemma. After graduation, she packed her bags and moved to Las Vegas with Logic as he prepared for pre season training. There she settled into the celebrity life as the significant other of an NFL Rookie, which meant a lot of time home alone, bored out of her damn mind.

Nonetheless, with Teddy over two hundred miles away, she remained faithful to Logic and spent the rest of the spring and summer being the best fiancé on the entire planet. She hoped that this would somehow makeup for the outrageously, scandalous shit she was soon about to get into.

Medical school was starting soon and Queen had to fly to Los Angeles to get settled. Logic, who was in the middle of training could not go, but he sent his checkbook. Without reservation he purchased Queen a three bedroom townhouse and paid her tuition for the first year. Yes, it was extremely good to be the Queen of a Nevada King.

To her pleasant surprise Dorian was accepted into the UCLA Law School, so Jade decided to pursue her MBA at UCLA. The only one who wouldn’t be in Los Angeles with her was Logic. Still it was comforting to know that Teddy wasn’t going to be her only friend in Los Angeles.

When she arrived at LAX, Los Angeles International Airport, a limo driver with a large sign that read, “Welcome home Mye Beloved Queen” awaited her at the baggage terminal. Expecting Jade and Dorian Queen dismissed it as a fluke until she heard her name paged overhead.

“Mye Queen, please meet your driver at the baggage Terminal. Mye Queen, please meet your driver at the baggage terminal.”

It all became crystal clear at that point. Queen had tried to put off the inevitable by begging Jade and Dorian not to tell Teddy when she was arriving. In retrospect she should have just bribed them instead, because apparently begging did not work.

Queen greeted the limo driver who escorted her to a black, chromed out, super stretch Cadillac Escalade Limo parked in front of the airport.

“Bear is such a damn showoff. I’m only one person.” She thought to herself as the driver opened the door of the enormous limo to let her in.

Her heart stopped and her breath ceased when she spotted Teddy waiting in the limo with a gigantic bouquet of over two dozen long stem white roses. Queen’s legs went to jelly the moment he smiled at her. Looking like a triple scoop of German chocolate ice cream with caramel syrup Queen could tell that Los Angeles well suited Teddy. Overwhelmed by his presence she froze in place like a solid block of ice. Momentarily speechless, she could only mumble, “Bear.”

“Welcome to Los Angeles Mye Queen.” He grinned as he helped her into the back of the limo.

Queen took his hand and the heat from his body that radiated from it went through her like a raging all consuming bush, I mean brush fire. She stared at him with her large doe eyes wanting to run back to Logic in Vegas to save herself. But mesmerized and trapped like a helpless bug in his web she was powerless to move. She said nothing. She simply threw everything down and leaped into his arms praying that he still wanted her as much as she wanted him.

It didn’t take long for her to get the answer to her unspoken question.

“God I missed you.” He said as he sucked her tongue deep into his mouth.

Queen did not respond, at least not in words. She kissed him back with all the intensity of a raging inferno. The limo driver smiled as he closed the door on the two lovers who could hardly contain themselves. Before he could put the truck in gear and pull away from the airport terminal they were half naked.

Teddy quickly pulled Queen’s top over her head and devoured her breast as if they were his last meal. She moaned as he sucked her nipple deep in the back of his throat, sucking it hard before he allowed it to pop out of his mouth.

“Where are we going?” Queen managed to get out.

“To my house...” He replied as he licked the circumference of her nipple before sucking it back into his hungry mouth.

“How far away is it?” She asked as she rid herself of her bra.

“About thirty to forty minutes, depending on traffic... Why?”

“I can’t wait that long.” She moaned as she unfastened his pants and immediately went on a treasure hunt for something big, long and oh so hard.

“I had no intentions of making you wait.” He grinned as he nodded to the back of the limo where there was a plush full size water bed covered with fresh red rose petals and chocolate kisses.

Reminiscing over their romantic interludes in the wildflowers on Teddy’s ranch Queen smiled as he laid her down in the bed of flowers and begin to slip her jeans off. She could hardly contain her excitement as he slowly wiggled her jeans over her round ass. It took an eternity, but when they were finally off it was on.

Teddy burrowed his face between Queen’s thick thighs and did not resurface until she was screaming in pleasure for mercy. He grinned as he heard the sound of Queen’s sweet release, a sound which he had only imagined for the past three and a half months. Just like Queen he hoped and prayed that she still desired him half as much as his body craved her. God had answered that prayer with a resounding yes. He devoured her sweetness, until she begged for more.

Almost fulfilled, Queen pulled him on top of her. He was so hard he was about to burst when he entered her. He pounded her hard and rough like coarse sandpaper smoothing out all of the jagged edges that had come between them and somehow separated them for over three months. At this point nothing or no one in the world mattered in the back of that limo as the two of them consumed their favorite delicacy, each other. Their bodies melted together in a smoldering melting pot of unbridled passion, ecstasy and love forging a bond that was unbreakable, unshakable and undeniable.

It was apparent to both of them by the end of that brief limo encounter that they were no longer just friends with fringe benefits but eternal lovers, connected and committed to each other for life. Towards that end Queen whispered the words that Teddy had been longing to hear.

“I think I’m in love with you Bear.”

Teddy reserved comment for a moment as he savored the sound of those sweet words as they resonated in his ear. He gently sampled her lips before sighing, “God… I’ve been waiting to hear you say that since the moment I met you.”

“Better late than never,” she smiled as she kissed his lips.

Teddy smiled and nodded in agreement as he fell back on the plush bed. He picked up one of the smashed chocolate kisses, peeled the foil off, and popped it into Queen’s mouth. “You are so right about that.” He grinned as he enjoyed one himself. “Cause I didn’t think that I’d ever get Mye Queen to admit that.”

Queen simply giggled as she snuggled in his arms and enjoyed the remainder of their ride home.

  Chapter 43

Queen started Medical School and quickly discovered that she was in for four years of virtual hellfire, brimstone and damnation. Her class schedule was grueling, the workload was horrendous and the professors were unyielding fossils who realized that they literally held her future in the palms of their aging, liver spotted, arthritic hands. Most of them were as old as Moses, well all except one, her Gross Anatomy and Physiology professor, Dr. Xavier Hope.

Tall, boyishly good looking, charismatic and oh so swaggerlicious, Dr. Hope was the bright spot of Queen’s week. Rarely did Queen give white men a second glance, probably because she preferred dark meat, but this man commanded her attention. Effortlessly sexy, cocky and intelligent she could watch him all damn day. Unfortunately his class was only fifty minutes, three times a week. Still Queen enjoyed every second. Little did she realize that she wasn’t the only one captivated.

Gross Anatomy lectures where held in an auditorium size lecture hall and hosted approximately one hundred and fifty students. Somehow, in that big room of students, Queen caught Dr. Hope’s eye and he never stopped looking. Although he thought his obsession with her was his little secret, Queen could feel t
he intensity of his glance every time he looked her way.

At first she thought that it was her imagination playing tricks on her, until one day while walking across campus she heard a familiar voice call to her.

“Dr. Queen, can I speak to you for a second?”

Queen turned around to face the most beautiful ice blue eyes she could have ever imagined. “Oh my God this man is fine.” She thought to herself as she instantly got loss in them.

Queen’s seat was about ten to twelve rows from the front of the class, so she had no clue how fine this man really was. Fine or not he was her professor, so she quickly pulled it together although she was awe struck and mesmerized by this incredible hunk of white meat.

“Dr. Hope were you talking to me?” She asked stunned that he even knew her name.

“You are Dr. Queen, aren’t you?”

“Yes I suppose I am. It’s just that I’ve never been addressed as Dr. Queen…”

“Get use to it. We refer to all of our students as Doctor, even our newbies.”

“Newbies?” Queen smiled and shook her head a little confused.

“Newbie is just a nickname for our first year med students.”

“Oh okay… Did you want to talk to me about something?” Queen asked not sure why he stopped her.

“Yeah, I was wondering if you’d let me buy you a cup of coffee. I mean if you’re finished for the day.”

“Finished for the day… I’m finished class but I have about six to eight more hours of studying before I’m finished for the day.” She laughed. “But, yeah I can take a coffee break.” She smiled as she watched his face brighten like the noon day sun when she said yes.

“Good. I know a nice place not far from here. We can go in my car, or you could follow me if you’d like.”

“Oh shit, here we go.” Queen thought to herself as she realized that she had probably just agreed to a date with her professor. “If it’s all the same to you I’ll just follow you that way I can head home when we’re done.”

“Okay, so I’ll meet you at the main entrance in a few minutes. By the way what are you driving?”

“Damn… I forgot that I have Teddy’s Maserati.” Queen thought as she pondered what to say. “I have a red sports car.”

“Great see you in a few.”

“Okay.” Queen nodded realizing that she had just opened a can of fat ugly worms that were not going to be easy to contain.

  ~*~*~

Fifteen minutes later Queen found herself at a quaint little coffee shop virtually walking distance from her condominium. As they stared at the coffee shop menu Queen couldn’t help but to think that she had somehow been sucked into a bad episode of the Twilight Zone.

She peered over her menu to see an extremely handsome man by any standard nonchalantly cruising the menu. She watched as he unconsciously raked his hands through his naturally curly, short cropped, blonde hair. His eyes were like inviting pools of crystal clear blue water and she found herself drowning in them.

He smiled as he caught her staring gaga at him. “So what looks good Mye Queen?” He asked as he continued to survey the menu. “I want something sweet, but I’m not sure what.”

Queen, instinctively reserved comment on that one, it was just too easy and a bit premature, but she knew exactly what he wanted to eat.

It was obvious that he was infatuated with her, but Queen really couldn’t figure out why. On any given day, there was at least a dozen or so beautiful med students vying for his attention after class. So, what was his sudden interest in her really all about?

“I’m not sure, but I think I’m just going to have a no fat caramel latté.” Queen declared as she closed her menu and placed it on the table before her.

“Don’t you want anything to eat?”

A devious smile crossed Queen’s face as her mind drifted off to Naughty Town USA. She could think of something, but it definitely wasn’t on the menu. “Calm down girl this man is your professor and you got enough dick on your plate already.” She thought. But her mouth and another part which shall remain shameless asked, “What do you suggest?”

Now it was X’s turn to take an imaginary trip to Naughty Town. He smiled, cleared his throat and then suggested, “Let’s start with a brownie. Do you like nuts?”

Queen burst into laughter. X smiled as he realized how it must have sound. “I’m sorry, that didn’t come out the way that I intended. Would you like a brownie with or without nuts.”

“Doctor Hope, it really doesn’t matter.” She giggled instantly relaxing him.

“Call me X.” He said as he folded his menu and signaled the waitress who immediately took their order. Queen quietly watched as he ordered for the two of them. Like it or not she got the distinct feeling that this definitely was a date and the sweetness that he desired was her panty taste.

X was extremely sexy and tempting and oh so extremely fine but Queen had no intentions of starting a damn thing. Med School was going to be hard enough without a jilted lover in control of her grades and her future. She unconsciously swirled her engagement ring around and around as she contemplated her options.

“That’s a beautiful ring by the way. Where did you get it?” He slyly inquired.

“My fiancé gave it to me.” Queen casually replied.

“And the Maserati? I don’t think I’ve ever seen a vehicle so stunning. Did he give you that too?”

Queen smiled, knowing that she was about to wiggle her way off the hook without having to wiggle in his lap. “It belongs to my boyfriend.”

“You mean your fiancé.” X politely corrected her.

“No, I mean my boyfriend.” She confidently responded as she arrogant searched his face for a reaction.

“So you’re not engaged?” X asked confused.

  “No, I’m engaged.”

“So you’re engaged and you have a boyfriend?”

Queen simply gave him a slow affirmative nod.

“Okay… Do I really want to know this?”

“Probably not...” She shook her head and smiled. “It’s messy and complicated and believe me, you really don’t want to get in it.”

“What if I did want to get into it?”

Queen laughed. “Then you’re probably not as smart as I thought you were.”

“You’re probably right. Okay, well we can deal with that issue later. So tell me about yourself.”

“What do you want to know?” She asked as the waitress returned with their order.

“Just tell me about Mye Queen. Who is she? Why did she come to Medical School? What are her plans?”

Queen welcomed the opportunity to vindicate herself and let X know exactly who she was and where she was going in life. She wanted him to know that she was more than just a pretty face getting through life on her back counting ceiling tiles on her way. It was important for her to convey to him that she really wasn’t just another ghetto rat playing two fools for their cheddar, although he already had that figured out.

X listened intently as she spoke. Everything about her fascinated him. He noticed how her eyes brightened as she discussed her future and her desire to help others. He knew that she had what it takes to become a doctor. He was well aware that she wasn’t a heartless opportunist and even if she was he wanted an opportunity to find out for himself.

“So, now I’m ready to tackle the tough question.”

Queen smiled. “Okay so what is that?”

“What’s with the rich boyfriend and the fiancé? Why can’t you just choose, or are you just too much woman for one man?”

Queen giggled as she took a bite of the brownie, “Hardly! That is a tough one. I don’t really have the answer for you.” Queen’s smile quickly faded to bewilderment. The whole Logic verses Teddy saga had been wearing her thin for months now. They were tugging on her like two dogs fighting over a chew toy. She couldn’t begin to answer that question even if you put a gun to her head and threatened to shoot. It just was not an easy choice and even if it
was Queen was not ready to choose.

“So I take it that the boyfriend is rich and powerful and the fiancé is loving and attentive?”

“Actually… they’re both wealthy and really great guys.”

“Really?” he asked surprised. “Now, I really don’t get it.”

  “Get what?”

“So why are you playing them? Neither one of them satisfies you?”

A wry smile slowly crept across Queen’s face. Without a doubt they both satisfied her every need and desire, and that’s the reason it was so hard for her to choose. How can you choose between two incredible men who’d rip their own hearts out of their chest to give it to you so that yours could beat for another minute?

“Of course they satisfy me. They both make me extremely happy. It’s just that my heart won’t let me pick one. How can I without hurting the other?”

“Don’t choose then… just leave them both alone. I mean Medical School is rough and it’ll take its toll on a rock solid, strong marriage. Trying to joggle two questionable relationships and Med School is going to wear you down. Something is going to suffer and I’d hate for it to be your grades. I think you have a bright future in medicine. It’d be a shame to throw it away.”

Queen knew that everything he said was in fact true. Initially, she had no intentions of going to Med School with one boyfriend, let alone two. She also realized that the only way to walk away from one was to leave both of them alone, because neither one of them would be satisfied to let the other one have her. Nonetheless Queen wasn’t prepared emotionally or physically to let either of them go. Not knowing what to say and quite frankly deciding that it was none of Dr. Hope’s business she remained silent.

“I guess that’s not an option, huh?

“No, I’m afraid it’s not, at least not at this point in my life.” Queen confessed.
