He moves down lower and then his rough tongue traces the swell of my stomach around up to my ribs then back down the other side. I buck up against him reacting to the sensation of his rough tongue and the cool air where his mouth was. I wrap my legs around his and thrust my yearning hips towards him needing to be filled but loving the attention. Vin licks his way down to the hem of my pants then his smooth hands move along my sides and across my hips with his finger tips trailing along my exposed skin.

He looks up and his half-lidded eyes bore into me with lust and desire. In moments my pants are undone and he’s sliding them down and then tossing them off into the distance. In doing so he’s risen off the bed and I rub up and down his thighs with my feet. As he looks down I bring both my feet around his hips to squeeze his incredible, hard swollen cock between them. I stroke up and down with my feet and he throws his head back moaning. The muscles of his stomach and chest ripple delightfully demonstrating their contained power.

He lowers himself to his knees beside the bed grabbing my hips as he does. Roughly he pulls me to the edge and somehow my panties are torn away. I look down past my breasts and meet his eyes. A smile plays across his mouth then he’s licking his way from my knee to my middle. He moves slowly, his tongue teasing and warming, there is no hurry or concern. His hands grip my hips firmly as he kisses, nibbles, and licks his way up to my womanhood. As he grows closer anticipation grows and more moisture leaks from my delicate folds. The scent of my musk fills the air around us adding another layer of arousal. He closes with my opening, so close to my hard, tight nub and I want, no I need, for him to take it in his mouth but he passes by without stopping. He knows how to build anticipation.

He kisses across and down my other side, along that leg to my knee. I shiver, moan, my hands grip the comforter below me and my hips buck up. Cool air assaults my delicate folds and each place he licked his way across. The sensations are maddening, I feel like I’m a wind up toy that he’s playing. There’s an expertise and attention no man has ever shown me before. He’s approaching again, closer, and then closer still.

“Please,” I moan thrusting up my hips.

He kisses down the outside of my delicate opening then moves to the other side and his tongue and lips work their way back to my top. He kisses across then he’s right there, just above the throbbing, pounding need and my clitoris strains out towards him needing his attention. He dives in denying me no longer. He licks softly into my folds digging with his tongue until he grazes across my nub. I jerk in response and the first spasms and hints of an orgasm rip through me. He holds incredibly still waiting before he moves. Only once I’m calm does he move and continue.

His tongue digs deep into my tunnel exploring the walls and folds. He laps at my juices like a cat with milk and I’m pushed into new heights I didn’t know could be reached. His tongue dances in and out with a strength and solidity. He opens my folds exploring each delicate piece of skin with his tongue. He tastes me deeply then slowly he works back up. He slows even more as he moves making sure that each bit of me is warmed by his hot breath and his tongue. No part of me is untouched. The sensations as he works his tongue in under my clitoris overwhelm me and I’m carried away. He traces an outline around it then he flattens his tongue against it and thrusts forward. He moves his head up and down and I’m gone. I fall into the building orgasm as it rips through my body. Muscles clench, pressure increases, stars dance in my vision then slowly awareness returns and I’m looking into Vin’s eyes. Demonstrating the greatest of care he slowly pulls back and holds himself over me watching as I catch my breath.

His fingers lightly trace along my exposed skin and as soon as he touches me desire roars back to life washing away all the fulfillment of the orgasm. There’s so much more I need and want. He straddles me so I wrap my legs around his hips and my arms are around his neck. Twisting my body I push against him and he rolls with me so that now I straddle him. Slowly I kiss my way across his stunningly sexy chest. My tongue traces the lines of his bulging muscles, the definition of his abs until I come to his cock.

I don’t hesitate in taking his engorged self into my mouth. I work it around and then deeper in. I use my tongue to lick along his shaft and then I dig my nails into his side. He moans loudly and his voice is deep and sexy. He thrusts up with his hips as I tease him. His cock throbs in my mouth begging for release but I’m not going to let him off so easy.

Slowly I trace the veins of his shaft with my tongue then take him into my mouth one more time. As soon as I do he spasms and the first droplets of his sweet juice drop onto my tongue. As I taste him fully I feel an even deeper connection with him. I’m losing myself in him but also I’m finding myself at the same time. Who I was and who I’m supposed to be. I work his flesh but then he grabs my shoulders and pulls me roughly, sexily up across him. Our skin trails along each other as he pulls me to his mouth making my nipples harden to the point they ache. We kiss but it’s not just a kiss. It’s a last ritual. An acceptance of who I am and a celebration of my return.

He pierces me as we kiss. Thrusting deep inside. We move and writhe together. Shades of memory return, unclear but giving certainty that this is the man for me. That we are together as it is supposed to be. Our souls are fated one for another, always returning to each other. I’ve come back to him and he is mine.

In minutes or hours or even years, I don’t know how long it lasts, but a fresh orgasm explodes through my flesh taking me away mentally and physically. I’m riding the waves of an ocean that is stirred into a tsunami. Carried away on waves of pleasure and love. I collapse into his arms and we lie together, our hot sweat cooling. My eyes drift close as I snuggle against his chest. Dimly I’m aware of him lifting me and moving then we’re cuddling together under the warm blankets and everything is perfect in the world as I let sleep claim me.

  CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

I wake up and stretch. The bed is empty so I roll over then lay still a moment to get my bearings. Vin’s cabin isn’t large but still has a surprising level of luxuries considerings it’s on a space ship. The bed is full sized and super comfortable. The mattress is made of some kind of material that feels like it conforms to my body no matter how I move. It did make for an amazing place to have sex. The rest of the room has a three drawer dresser made of some dark wood, an overstuffed chair with a small table next to it, and a small closet.

Rolling out of the bed I gather my scattered clothing and dress then head for the front of the ship. The windows show an expanse of black but the distant stars are so much brighter here than they are on earth. It takes my breath away to see them twinkling so brightly. Vin is in the captain’s seat steering. I see him turning the wheel and the stars outside move in the opposite direction. As our ship turns the main ship comes into view.

It’s much, much bigger. It looks like a floating battleship in space, or maybe an aircraft carrier. Sea ships were never of that much interest to me but what I am sure of is it doesn’t look like the sleek ships that my beloved science fiction television prepared me for. It’s bulky, with lots of flat edges, zero aerodynamics to the design. Of course there’s not! There’s no air resistance to design around, duh.

“Buckle in my love,” Vin says. “I’m about to dock, sometimes it’s a bit rough.”

“Okay,” I say. My heart warms when he calls me his love.

I buckle into the co-pilot seat. The ship adjusts and there’s a soft whine as the engines go to work. Then there’s a bump that’s barely noticeable and Vin let’s go of the wheel. He reaches forward and presses some buttons, flips some switches, and there’s a whoosh sound further back in the ship.

“We’re here,” he says leaning back and undoing his harness. He spins the chair around towards me. “I’d like you to get checked out in medical.”

“Why? I feel fine,” I answer.

  “I know, but you shouldn’t.”

  “Well thanks,” I smart off.

  “That is not what I
mean. The Infiltrator was in there with the controller with plenty of time to sabotage it. The same as they did before but why didn’t he? Why did it not take your life this time? Consider it a precaution. Please, do this for me.”

“Couldn’t it be the nanites?” I ask.

“They were in your system the last time so no, I don’t think so. If anything they would have been more effective the last time. You’d had full treatments of a more… normal method.”

“Oh. Well how can I resist this face?” I say reaching over and cupping his cheek in my hand.

I’m trying to cover over the fact that I’m nervous. He’s right, why didn’t it drain my life? How am I alive? We walk to the middle of the ship while I muse things over but come to no conclusions. Vin stops with his hand on the control panel next to the door. He turns to me frowning.

  “What is it?” I ask.

“My Chief Mate, Benji,” he says

I bristle at her name coming out of his mouth. It’s immediate, irrational, and completely out of my control.

  “What about her?” I snap.

“Exactly,” he says shaking his head.

“Look, I don’t even know why I don’t like her but I don’t. I don’t trust her. I saw her earlier and it makes me crazy. I can’t explain it.”

“You two have never gotten along,” he says.

“Why? I don’t even know her. Well not anymore. I don’t remember all of that lifetime. I don’t have any idea why she makes me so angry.”

“Benji does not think Lantarians and humans should…”

  “Care about each other?”

  “Cross-breed,” he says.

“Oh my god, are you serious? Lantarians are an advanced civilization, light-years more advanced than Earth is right now and there are still bigots among you?”

Vin looks ashamed and shrugs. “It’s difficult.”

“No, it’s not. It doesn’t make any sense at all. How can you be so advanced but not have gotten rid of some kind of small minded attitude such as this?”

“There is that our genetics are not compatible with-”

“They are. Of course they are! Just look at how many times we’ve boned!” I’m angry and that shuts down the filter between my brain and my mouth. Vin’s eyes go wide then he’s laughing. He laughs so hard that tears fall. “It’s not funny!”

“You’re right, of course my love,” he says, wiping tears away and trying to contain his laughter. “It’s just, you only talk like that when you’re angry and it took my by surprise. That’s all.”

“Well surprise or no, I don’t care. She can take her small mindedness and take a long walk in a short air lock!”

Vin starts to say something more then I guess he changes his mind. He nods and hits the buttons on the door. It slides aside to reveal a short tunnel leading up to another door. We step inside and the door behind us closes. The air whooshes as the pressure is equalized in the tunnel then the door into the main ship opens.

Now this is more in line with what I would expect from a spaceship. Bare metal walls with girders apparent every ten feet. Men and women in uniform are moving quickly with intent purpose up and down the halls but as soon as they see Vin they stop and come to attention. Vin barely notices them as he leads us into the ship. I’m lost in moments. This place is an utter maze as he turns corners and we pass intersections. Every hall looks exactly the same. We reach a door and Vin presses his hand to a panel then the door opens and we walk into medical.

The medical section on the ship is the same as I’d expect in any hospital. Beds line the far wall with curtains between them. Doctors and nurses dressed in white uniforms move from station to station to attend patients. There’s a quiet hum to the room. The far end is apparently a self-contained laboratory or so I’d guess looking at the machines. Vin stops just inside and I stand next to him. An older looking woman in a white lab coat comes over and stands at attention saluting him. Vin returns the salute and the woman relaxes.

“Commander, how are you?” she asks.

“Fine Ansila. Could you do a full workup on Abby?” he asks motioning towards me.

Ansila looks over at me and her cold eyes roam up and down my body while her lips purse.

“Of course Commander,” she says. “Does Benji know?”

Great, so it’s like everyone on the ship knows I have a history with Benji? This is going to be grand, I can tell already.

“She is aware,” Vin says. “Abby please stay here with Ansila. She’s going to do a medical workup. I’d like to know you’re healthy after all that happened planet side.”

“Sure Vin,” I answer rising up on the balls of my feet to get a kiss.

He stiffens and gives me a barely perceptible shake of his head. Heat flushes my neck and up to my cheeks as I realize that he’s on duty in front of his crew. He can’t be displaying affection. It’s against regulations or something. I should have known, damn it I’m so embarrassed.

“Good. I’ll check up on you in a while,” he says and strides out of the room.

I watch him go reluctantly. I’m alone on a space ship with his crew. To say it feels awkward would be an understatement, though I do have to admire the view as he strides away. The suit forms to his tight ass perfectly.

“Abby, if you’ll come over here please,” Ansila interrupts my train of thought.

“Oh, sure,” I say and follow her to a bed.

  CHAPTER EIGHTEEN

“One last test,” Ansila says. “Please lie back on the bed and relax.”

If I’d known how many tests they were going to put me through I might have balked more. I’ve been poked, prodded, and stabbed more times than I can count. Lying on the bed I focus on breathing and try to relax but uncertainty of what’s coming next makes it hard to actually be calm. A line of green light comes on just above my head and the overhead lights in the ceiling dim. There’s a very soft hum then the line of light moves. I close my eyes and it passes over me. This test at least did not leave me with any soreness, new holes, or feeling violated.

Ansila stands to one side watching a monitor as the light progresses across me. Her pinched face frowns even deeper as she stares at the monitor. I hear her tapping at keys with a fast staccato then she sighs. A few more key clicks and she sighs again.

“What is it?” I ask. “Am I okay?”

“Yes, you both are,” she answers.

“Both? You checked out Vin too? When did he come back?”

She looks up from the monitor, her forehead wrinkling as she frowns.

“I’m sorry what are you talking about Abby?” she asks.

“Vin. You just said we’re both okay. Vin and I were both in the room with the control panel. He fought the Infiltrator. You mean him right?”

“Oh,” she seems surprised then shakes her head.

  “Oh? What does oh mean?”

I sit up on the bed no longer able to pretend a calmness I’m absolutely not feeling. I bring my legs around but I’m too short to touch the floor so I sit on the edge looking at her. I’m waiting for answers but part of me says to be patient. So I wait instead of blabbering like a fool or getting angry.

“You are a perfectly healthy human,” she says.

  “Okay, good, but?”

There’s a but coming. I know it. No clue what it’s going to be but I know damn well it’s there. Waiting to jump out and yell surprise. Her jaw tenses and she keeps looking at the monitor.

“But I think I know how you survived,” she answers.

“Well that’s good right? Maybe you can use that to develop a defense or something? Something Vin can use to defeat the Invaders?”

“That would not be practical or likely,” she says.

  “Oh, well why not?”

“Vin is not of the correct genetics for a replication of what I believe to be the correct cause.”

“Oh, it’s because I’m human and he’s Lantarian then?”

“No, that is not precisely it either.”

“Well then what is it? Quit beating around the bush!”

“It’s the extra life force growing inside of you.”

“Oh, well of course-” I cut myself off. “What?”

“The extra life force growing inside of you,” she answers matter-of-factly.

“Extra life force,” I roll the words over my tongue as I say them. I can’t seem to process them into a coherent thought. Is she saying?

“You are gestating,” Ansila adds helpfully.

“Gestating? Are you… am I… I mean really? It can’t be right? I mean we only met like… yesterday or something and yeah we’ve had a lot of, but know you couldn’t even, it can’t be…” I trail off under Ansila’s constant stare.

“Yes,” she says after I’ve been silent for several moments.

  “Yes? I mean, I am? I mean-”

“You are pregnant,” she interrupts me.

“But how?” Ansila frowns so deeply that the wrinkles of her forehead threaten to drop down and eat her eyes. “I don’t mean how, obviously I know that but I haven’t been with anyone but Vin… I mean I’d just done a pregnancy test and it was negative. Could it have been wrong?”

“I am not familiar with earth technology on this matter,” she says. “But probably not. The DNA of your fetus is mixed.”

“Mixed? Mixed how? Is that bad?”

“I do not know,” she answers.

“You don’t know? But you’re the doctor! I mean you have to know. If you don’t know then who does?”

“No one. It shouldn’t have been able to happen. There is no research on this. It’s never been done before. I do have immediate concerns but we’ll have time to consider those and take precautions as they’re mostly around delivery of the fetus at term.”

“You think this is how I survived?” I ask. “But I still got weak when that thing fed on me or whatever it was doing. I even passed out.”
