“You and I both know you have to bend over and take it up the ass for the Academy.”

“No, I don’t have to do shit. Fuck the Academy. I’m tired of those washed up assholes snubbing me. You and I both know I deserved more than two Oscars in the last twenty-five years I’ve been on the screen.”

“Yes, everyone knows that. But you need only one more nomination and you will hold the record for the most nominations ever. So let’s try to win the damn statue. The studio will let you fly back for Cannes.”

Tonio had pushed two fingers inside my pussy. He was roughly massaging my breasts. His mouth was sucking my neck. I was so happy he was hands-free.

  “Antonio, you still there?”

He pulled away from my neck. “Yes.”

“Where are you? Why is it so quiet?”

  “Are we done with this?”

“No, did you think about seeing a surgeon?”

Tonio pushed another finger inside of me and I couldn’t take it. I removed his hand and I lurched from the water and turned to face him. I got on my knees and straddled him. I grabbed his dick and lowered my body down on his erection. I watched his eyes shut as I let him fill me up. The water splashed around as I rocked myself on his pole.

“Antonio. Are you in water?” The Tom, Dick and Harry man’s voice bellowed out of the cell phone.

Tonio opened his eyes. “Yes, I’m in water.” I rolled my hips back and forward while Tonio watched me.

“I need to make an appointment for you with the best face guy in Hollywood.”

Tonio grabbed my ass cheeks and squeezed them tight. “Look, Harry, I’m not getting any work done on my face. I’m thirty-five.”

  “Everyone does Botox.”

“Fuck no! No Botox or Restylane. I’m doing soap and fucking water on my face. I’m supposed to fucking age. I’m getting old.”

Tonio squeezed my nipple so hard I screeched in pain. “Ohhh!” I couldn’t hold it in. My nipple burned and he didn’t care. He likes giving pain with his pleasure.

  “What the fuck was that?”

Tonio fished his wet washcloth out of the water and shoved it in my mouth. I almost choked on the access water. He thought it was funny.

“Tonio!” The phone voice called out.

“Harry, we need to talk later.” Tonio was fucking me back. We were grinding our bodies together. Water was sloshing around the tub.

“No, you didn’t agree on a salary for the Moon project. Filming starts in three weeks.”

“Harry, I have to go. I’m getting fucked by a very pretty girl.”

“What? Who? You don’t have any women in Chicago.”

Tonio shut his eyes. “22 million up front and a producer credit.” Tonio looked me dead in my eyes. “Kelby, end the call.”

  “Who is Shelby?” Harry asked.

I reached over to Tonio’s cell phone. I was able to hang up on Harry without missing a beat. Tonio clamped his mouth onto my tit. He sucked it up. He pressed his hard dick up inside me so fast the water became afraid of the tub and fled to the floor tiles. We were making a mess. He moved his mouth to my mouth. He kissed me until my shoulders loosened. I wrapped my arms around his neck. I wanted to hold on to him. He tilted his head up so he could kiss me. I could kiss him forever or until he came inside me.

  CHAPTER 13

We decided to shower. The bath water was cold and we were dirty all over again from the sex. We showered together. He lathered my body and I had quickly grown to believe his hands were magic. We toweled off after we cleansed ourselves of the naughtiness. Tonio wrapped his towel around his waist and I wrapped my towel around me.

I followed him into the master bedroom. I slept in this room in the bed but I had never seen it. Everything inside this room was new to me. The living space was beautiful, clean and a dream. The carpet was beige and the there were loads of light that shone in through the windows.

“There are clothes in the closet for you.” He pointed at the open doorway. I walked into an attached room, a walk-in closet. There was women’s clothing hanging on hangers on the walls. Men’s clothes were hanging on another wall. I glanced down at the shoes. The bandage dress was tossed over a white cubed ottoman.

“What should I wear?” I thought I’d ask.

“Whatever you want. I don’t know your taste in clothing so there are a few things to choose from.” He walked over to the side of the room that had men’s clothing.

He had his back to me but I watched him. He opened a drawer and grabbed boxer briefs out. He slipped them on. I followed his lead and opened the drawer in front of me. There were five sets of women’s underwear. They were lacy and they had price tags still attached to them. I liked the black lacy bra and thong. I grabbed it out of the top drawer. I needed deodorant and lotion. I needed to moisturize my skin. I had spent too much time in the bathtub and shower.

I left Tonio in the closet and went through to the bedroom to grab my overnight bag off the counter in the bathroom. I just grabbed the items I needed and used them while I was alone in the bathroom. After taking care of my hygiene and skin care I returned to the walk-in closet.

Tonio was completely dressed. He was wearing dark jeans and a gray t-shirt that was thin enough to accent his powerful build. But loose enough to fall perfectly over all his muscles. He was slipping his feet into his shoes when I walked back in the closet.

“I’m going downstairs to the kitchen. I’m going to whip us up something to eat. Come down when you’re ready.”

  “Okay. I’ll be there soon.”

I watched him leave the room. His walk was sexy. He had one of the coolest walks in Hollywood. I could even say he had swag for a White man.

I dressed and combed my hair. It got wet and wasn’t straight anymore. I brushed my teeth again. I put on light makeup because I wanted to look like I tried. I walked downstairs in ballerina flats I found in the closet. I walked through the spacious living room and into the kitchen. He was standing behind the kitchen island. He looked up at me and took in the view.

  “You look nice.”

  I smiled. “Thank you.”

“Pretty girl, have a seat at the table.”

I turned my back on him and planted myself in one of the clear chairs at the table. The glass table was too pretty to eat off of. The house was like a dream and it was someone’s home that they rented because maybe they lived someone else.

I sat in a chair so I could look out of the patio door. The owner of this place didn’t believe in curtains. I could see far across the property. There was a statue of a horse in the backyard. The person who owned this house loved animals, especially horses. There was a painting of a horse’s head above the bed in the master bedroom.

The house was secluded. This was a great place for Tonio to hide from the public and just lay low. I’m glad he picked it. I do feel more comfortable here than I would’ve felt in a hotel.

He placed a hot plate of food in front of me along with a glass of orange juice. “Do you want more coffee?”

“No thanks, I’m good with the orange juice.”

Tonio came back to the table with a plate for himself and a bottle of water. “Dig in. I didn’t make it so I know it’s eatable.” He grinned as he took the chair directly in front of me. “I warmed it up. I didn’t actually cook it.”

  “I appreciate it either way.”

“There is food in the refrigerator and you can just eat when you’re hungry. I want to fuck you not starve you.” He grinned.

He bit into a bagel as I put a fork full of scrambled eggs in my mouth. I wanted to ask who or where the food came from but I didn’t. It was so good and I wondered what restaurant had catered this meal.

We eat in silence until Tonio’s cell phone vibrated on top of the glass table. He looked at the screen.

  “It’s Harry.”

“Maybe it’s important.” Maybe he wanted to talk about plastic surgery, which wasn’t important at all.

  “Everything is important
to Harry.”

“Seems that way. So you’re making another movie in three weeks.”

“Yes, three weeks and I don’t have a finished script.”

  “Is this one Oscar worthy?”

“Yes, but the Academy doesn’t like me. They’ll probably give the Oscar to some newcomer with a heroin addiction that doesn’t take this profession seriously because he started out as a Calvin Klein model.”

“You know everybody with a TV or the internet already knows you are the best actor living. Seriously, the Academy rarely ever picks the best actor or a Black actor.”

“You said everybody thinks I’m the best actor. Do you think I’m the best?”

“I do but I have to say Denzel Washington if I’m around Black people.”

Tonio laughed out loud. “I can understand that Denzel is my favorite. I want to work with him. He wants to work with me but we need a good script.”

“I’m sure you will work together.”

“Have you seen any of my movies? I don’t mean Poseidon. Aliens from planets unknown have seen Poseidon. Have you seen anything else I’ve made?”

“Yes, I have seen a lot of your movies.”

“I’m not trying to stroke my ego. I’m not fishing for praise or accolades. Can you name some of the one’s you’ve seen?”

I shrugged. “I’ve seen Island, Blinders, The Deceased, Sapphire, Kings of Grenada, Locked and Loaded. Most humans have seen your movies. You’re a movie star. You know that right?”

He tilted his head to the side. “Sometimes I forget.”

“Snap a picture of your star on the Wall of Fame. Look at it every morning so you don’t forget.”

  “Great suggestion.”

“You know you really don’t need to do anything to your face.”

“Not now, I don’t. Maybe in ten or fifteen years.” He leaned back in his chair.

“Your face is fine. I would tell you if you needed work. You don’t. You’re very handsome.”

“Thanks, I look like my mother. She’s pretty, not handsome.”

“Your name doesn’t fit your face.”

“I know. I’ve heard that a time two.”

“You look like a Chad or Brad.”

“Antonio is an Italian name and I’m Italian. I’ve never met anyone named Kelby.”

“My mother wanted to name me Kelly and my father wanted to name me Shelby. So the compromise was Kelby.”

“Your parents only had you. Why no siblings?”

“I was premature. They thought I wasn’t going to make it and when I did I think my mother didn’t want to have to worry about more than one kid. What about you? Do you have any brothers or sisters?”

  “My mother only had me.”

“So you’re an only child. That’s probably the only thing we have in common.”

“My father had other kids with a few other women but I grew up an only child. My father left when I was about eleven. There was a divorce and he disappeared from my life.”

  “I’m sorry.”

“I’m not he was a terrible person and an asshole but my mother made up for his inadequacies.” He looked away before looking back at me “Your parents stayed together.”

“Yeah, they were madly in love. I remember that about them. They had me later in life. My dad died first and my mother died three years ago. I was twenty-three and all alone.”

  “You miss them?”

“Everyday, I wish they would have had another kid. They didn’t leave me with a brother or sister. It’s lonely being without family.”

“I can imagine. My mother is my best friend. I can’t imagine losing her.”

  “What about your father?”

“He died. Well, he was murdered. I didn’t go to his funeral and I was okay with it.” We both got silent. How had the conversation gotten so heavy? “You don’t know much about me.”

“I’m sorry. I just know that you’re a great actor. You win a lot of awards and you date supermodels and actresses. All those things seem to be true.”

  He shrugged. “It seems so.”

“Tell me more. Where do you live when you’re not working? I know movies are filmed on location.”

“Do you really want to hear this?”

“Yes, I’m interested. I’ve never met an actor. I don’t know any.”

“Get ready to be bored to tears.”

  “I’m ready.”

“I have a place in Malibu, another place in New York.”

“Is it true you have an Island?”

“Yes, but I share it with a real estate developer.”

  “That’s cool.”

Tonio’s cell phone vibrated on the table.

“Is it Harry?” Somehow I just knew it was.

He studied his cell’s home screen. “Yes, it’s Harry. I’m going to have to take this.”

Tonio answered his cell phone with a swipe of his finger. “Harry.” He ran his hand through his thick hair. It was completely dry after it was wet from our earlier shower. Tonio was quiet while Harry talked. This time I couldn’t hear what Harry was saying. “Fine. How are we doing this? Skype, noon, Chicago time or noon LA?” Tonio’s eyes glanced across the table at me. “You don’t know her…Yes…Okay.”

Tonio ended his call. He gazed across the table at me. “I have a meeting with the studio heads at noon. This isn’t how I wanted this weekend to turn out.”

“How long is the meeting going to last?”

  “Normally about an hour.”

“I can disappear so you can handle business. This house is huge.”

Tonio stood and took his plate and mine. He moved them over to the sink. He walked back over to the table. Kneeling beside me he stared into my eyes.

  “I love looking at you.”

I couldn’t help the cheesy smile my lips created. My body leaned over and I kissed his lips. He reciprocated.

“I have a rental, a truck. If I give you the key will you come back to me?”

  “Yes.”

  “I want to trust you.”

  “Tonio, you can trust me.”

“I need you to come back to me.”

“We’re in Lake Forest. I live an hour away. Where would I go but somewhere nearby?”

“There’s a mall nearby if you want to go there.”

  “Hawthrone Mall.”

  “Yes, that one.”

  “I’ll go there.”

“I’ll give you a card so you can shop.”

“I don’t need to buy anything.”

“Buying thing makes the time go back. I’m going to give you a credit card. Don’t insult me by turning down my money. I can afford it.”

  “Okay.”

  “What should I buy?”

“Clothes, shoes whatever you like. I can buy the entire mall so whatever they sell inside the mall, I’m sure it’s affordable for someone like me.”

“It must be nice.” I smarted.

“You have to come back to me. I’m not done with you.”

This conversation was getting weird. He paid for me to be here until Monday. Did he really think I would try to escape? Better yet escape in a stolen vehicle. His rental isn’t mine. I can’t just take someone’s car and never return it.

  “Tonio, I’m here until Monday.”

“Yes, and I didn’t get to come in your mouth.” His blue eyes bore into me. He is serious. That was a goal of his.

“No, you didn’t. I look forward to that.”

He licked his lips. “Do you remember how to get out of here?”

  “Yeah.”

“You don’t have a cell phone.”

“I’ll be okay. I’ve been on my own for awhile now.”

  “Yes, you have.”

We chatted for a short time. I had to reassure him I’d be back. I had to literally swear to return. It seemed odd that he thought I would run off. He had been rude but I didn’t see him as a threat. After seeing his face I really didn’t think he would murder me.

  H
e finally sent me on my way with the keys to the rental truck, a credit card, and a few passionate kisses. Sure his logic and reason were a little skewed but I rode away from the gorgeous property wondering why he wasn’t married. He could have anyone he wanted without paying. He could get a supermodel to sign a prenup and never leave him.

He was in a different class than me. I didn’t know much about him but I knew he didn’t come from money. He had humble beginnings just like me. The difference was he was really a talented actor. His talent made him rich. Even if I wanted to leave I couldn’t. I wanted a better life. I wanted a real career. College was a way to make that happen. If I left early I would only get a percentage of the money. If I stayed the entire time I would get it all. Money had never meant much to me. But now I know I need it to do something with my life. I’m twenty-six. I don’t want to wait tables for the rest of my life. I’m not going to wait tables for the rest of my life.

  CHAPTER 14

I was back with a few shopping bags. I didn’t go crazy. I wouldn’t have bought anything. I’m used to window-shopping. Somehow I thought I would be insulting him if I didn’t spend some of his money. I walked into the house and placed my bags on the same ivory sofa that I sat on yesterday when I first met Tonio. My heels made a lot of noise on the hardwood floors. I didn’t see him when I entered. Maybe he was upstairs. I wanted to call out to him but it seemed like the wrong thing to do.

I walked into the living room and I turned around to him behind the bar. He looked sexier than when I left him.

  “How was your meeting?”

“It was uneventful. How was shopping?”

  “Good.”

“I’m glad you returned. Do you want a drink?”

  “Sure.”

I watched him pour me a glass of something clear. He walked around the bar to give me the half full glass.

“Drink up.” He took my free hand and led me over the sectional. “Drink.”

I upturned the glass to my lips and took a sip of vodka. “Vodka.”

  “Yes.”

  “It’s very strong.”

  “You can handle it.”

Why was I drinking so early in the day? Was this normal for him? Normal for people with money and no real problems. I took another sip. I guess I had to prove that I could handle it.
