Fool, Stop Trippin'

When I first met Tarcia, I honestly wanted to help her. I was bored and she provided a diversion from my daily routine. However, I fell in love with her man as she shared details that she wouldn’t normally share with her female friends for the very same reason. She makes him sound so enticing, I just have to have him for myself. I told her casting spells isn’t for the weak at heart, but that silly bitch doesn’t know what she wants. Serves her right for trusting a fucking convict anyway.

  Lasonji

Tarcia’s crude drawing is driving me nuts. It is clearly part of a gris, but I can’t tell where it is directed. She isn’t dating anymore to my knowledge, so what is she doing with it? I destroyed the napkin, but it was a copy—of that much I am sure. Where is the original? She’d told me she doesn’t believe, but too many things are happening for that to be true. I no longer believe that Kentee is working his own magic on Tarcia. Frankly, he is not that clever, but I do believe that he is a part of the puzzle. Since Tarcia has no other friends, he has to be the link. Whatever it is I am up against, I’m not powerful enough to stop it; that much is clear to me. She has stepped into some deep shit this time, and I will do all I can to pull her out if I can without drowning my damn self.

  Tarcia

Once again, Kentee beat me to the coffee house. He is starting to scare me because punctuality was never one of his strong points, especially if there isn’t something in it for him.

“Okay, who are you and what have you done to Kentee?”

“Huh?” He is reading the newspaper when I approach him. This is another first. Usually if it wasn’t a tit-and-ass magazine, he wasn’t reading it.

“You’re acting like a stranger. What’s up with that?” I sit down across from him, playing with my keys to keep from looking into his eyes.

“What? I just want to spend some time with you. Is that a crime?”

“No. Is that the classified section?”

“Yeah, where are you looking to move?”

“I’m not set on any particular place. I just know I want out of DeKalb County.”

“What about Rockdale or Covington? They aren’t too far from city life.”

  “Okay, I’m game. Let’s go.”

“Have you thought about renting a house?”

“No, I’m sure I can’t afford that. Plus, I don’t want to be cutting no grass and shit.”

“Look at this ad: ‘For rent—three-bedroom ranch, two bathrooms, two-car garage, fenced yard, must see $750 month/$750 deposit.’”

“Wow, that’s the going rate for most apartments. Let’s check this one out.”

He calls the number listed in the ad and gets the directions. We go out to the parking lot and, without asking if I want to drive my own car, he opens the door to his car for me and I climb in.

  “So are you seeing anybody?”

“To be honest, I’ve been so busy with work I haven’t had time to look for another man.”

  “Yeah, me too.”

I start laughing at the irony of it all.

  “Hey, what’s so funny?”

“Us. If someone would have told me that we would wind up as friends I would have called them a bold-faced liar. I just knew you were going to become my baby’s daddy.”

“Dag, I know what you mean. But I like this new twist to our relationship. Perhaps that’s where we failed in the first place. We were so busy taking it to the physical, we didn’t develop the emotional.”

“Oh, Lawd, you tryin’ to get deep on a sista.”

“I’m serious, Tarcia. We skipped all the preliminaries and got disqualified.” We arrive at the house before I can answer him, but he is right. However, I’m not going to tell him that.

The house is nice, right on a cul-de-sac in what appears to be a quiet neighborhood. Since it is vacant, we are able to peek in the windows. From what we can see and smell, even from the outside, it is newly painted. Without going inside, I decide to take it. It is more space than I actually need but it is perfect for my budget and it feels just like home.

“Do you like it?” We spin around as this older white lady approaches us, dangling keys in her hand. Before I can respond Kentee answers.

  “Can we see inside?”

“Of course.” She leads us through the house and it is perfect. While I am no Susie Homemaker, I can’t beat the price with a stick.

  “Where do I sign?”

“You will have to fill out a credit application, and if you qualify, when do you want to move in?”

  “Yesterday.”

  “That soon, huh?”

  “Yes.”

“Okay. Here is the application. It will take a few days to process and I’ll be back in touch.”

“Oh, can’t I fill it out now? I’ll pay a rush fee if that will help move the process along, and I’m willing to pay the first six months in advance.” Kentee looks at me like I’ve lost my mind.

“Well…that’s not the normal procedure but since you like it so much, I can call the application in while you wait.”

“Thanks.” I rush over to the counter, quickly fill out the application, and give her a check for the credit application fee. Kentee pulls my arm and ushers me off to the side of the living room.

“Aren’t you rushing this? I mean, we haven’t even looked at the other houses I circled.”

“This is the one, Kentee. I feel it.”

“Uh, okay. So when did you become such a big baller?”

“Recent development. I’ll tell ya about it later. I just want her to say yes.” We wait for half an hour before I am given the keys. Things go so smoothly, it is like someone is orchestrating it.

“Hey, how about I take you to dinner to celebrate?”

“That would be great. I got to call my cousin first, so I’ll meet you in the car.” I don’t want to talk to Lasonji around Kentee because I still feel like she doesn’t like him very much and there is no telling what she will say. She answers on the first ring. I quickly tell her about the house and even though she appears to be happy, there is something funny in her voice.

“Look, I’m going out to dinner to celebrate. If you’re home, I’ll pop my head in.”

“Oh, by the way, some guy named Chauncey said to give him a call. You got his number?”

“Huh? No, I don’t have a number for him. Did he leave one?” I dial the number in a state of shock. I know Chauncey has mad privileges at the jail, but I didn’t realize that he has a phone.

When Chauncey answers, at first I am afraid it is a guard, but I can tell it is Chauncey by his sista-girl response.

“Chile, where you at? My ass is cold. Can you come pick a sista up?”

“Chauncey? Pick you up? Where are you?”

“I’m a free woman. They just gave me my papers and I need a place to crash.”

“Oh wow, damn. I’m about to go to dinner. Can I hit you back?” Before I can get the words out my mouth good, I hear an echo in my head that makes my blood run cold. Pick me up.

“Chauncey, I’ll be right there. See you in about fifteen minutes.”

  “Good, and bring Kentee.”

How does he know I am with Kentee?

  Chauncey

I wouldn’t change my life for all the tea in China. In fact, if it went any better I wouldn’t be able to stand myself. There are two surprising aspects of my life that I didn’t plan. One is that Tarcia is still in it. I’d planned on using her to get to Kentee, but it wasn’t as difficult as I had envisioned. Sure, he balked when I stuck my dick in his ass, but he’s with the program now. The other surprise was finding out that pussy isn’t all that bad and that I love sucking female boobies. Man tits are one thing, but it goes to an entire different level when you get to hold them in your hands as you suck them. Kentee taught me that. When I lick his tits I use the flat of my tongue, however, I suck her boobs using my entire mouth to twirl the nipple. I enjoy it so much, I don’t even get jealous when he suckles for what feels like hours. I just take the one that’s left an
d have at it. I’ve even gotten so bold as to stick my finger in her cunt while he sucks her off. He would catch her coming and going and I reap the benefits as I wear out his ass.

For now, I draw the line at eating pussy. I don’t believe that hype and raw fish ain’t for me. So I let Kentee do the honors while I suck his dick or she sucks mine. Either way, all of us are getting something out the deal. Will I ever eat pussy? I can’t say. I’ve kissed Kentee after he has partaken, so in a sense, I guess the big test will be when she starts to drip in my mouth and if I have the ability to get her there.

To the outside world, I don’t exist. People don’t see me entering and exiting the house. Kentee and Tarcia don’t speak of me. They can’t, but when those doors close, it’s on.

Until then, we are one big happy family, open to new possibilities. Care to join us?
