Ride a Cowboy... or Two (Mail Order Bride MFM Roamce)

With Sofia Kotov in attendance to see her daughter being married, the wedding was going to be perfect. At least I hoped.

Looking over at the minister, I smiled. The butterflies were beginning to form in my stomach. Were men supposed to have butterflies? I suppose that’s a question I should have asked Calvin. Too late now, I suppose, not that it really mattered.

My phone began to ring. Grabbing it from the inside pocket of my jacket I pressed the connect button.

Calvin: We’re just a few minutes out. Cue the music.

  Ryker: Will do.

Disconnecting the call, I motioned to Nina’s mother to start the music playlist we had already selected to be played via a speaker connected to our laptop. .

The music began and as if like magic, my beautiful bride and Calvin arrived via horseback. My breath caught in my throat as I caught sight of her. She was sitting sideways on the horse, not the easiest of tasks, especially considering the layers of lace and satin that flowed down her legs in layers all the way to her feet. But she’d spent nearly a week with the horse ensuring she’d be able to ride by herself on horseback wearing her dress. She’d been determined and she’d succeeded. Her determination to achieve anything she set her mind to was just another reason my brother and I were in love with her.

Her hair was put up in a loose bun at the top of her head, with stray strands of fiery, red hair flying about her. She looked majestic. She was perfection, if I ever saw it. And when her gaze met mine and a wide smile spread across her lips, I knew there would never be another woman for me.

“Are you going to be okay? You look pale. Stunning, but pale,” Calvin asked me as we slowly rode to the spot we’d designated for our wedding.

“I’m fine. It’s perfect. It’s going to be perfect,” I answered, smiling at him. “I just can’t believe it. It’s happening so fast. Feels a little unreal.”

“It always does. Your wedding day will come and go as if in haze.”

Nodding, I looked ahead of us attempting to get a lock on our location. We were almost there.

Not knowing what to say, I nodded towards Calvin’s leg. “I’m glad you were able to get the cast off for this.”

He looked down at his leg and shrugged. “I still have the brace, but we’re making progress.”

“Definitely.” I nodded. There’d been a question that had been running through my mind that I had asked in the past, but knew I had to ask a second time. “Are you sure you’re okay with me marrying Ryker?”

He chuckled and didn’t even hesitate with his answer, the love and affection he had for me gleaming in his eyes. For the millionth time, I questioned how I could have ever gotten so lucky as to have two amazing men in my like Ryker and Calvin. “Yes. I’m positive. I love you and I know you love me. That’s all I need to know. Marrying Ryker won’t change that. When you marry my brother I’ll be standing next to him. When he says his vows he’ll be saying them for both of us.” He held up his left hand. “I already had my wedding and have the ring. It’s Ryker’s time now, even though we’re both in love with you.”

“I love you to, Calvin.” Crinkling up my nose, I added. “Let’s keep this from my mother though. She’s finally digested the idea of me marrying an American. I don’t know if she could handle me being the wife to two American men, even if only one was legal.”

Giving me a wink that made me giggle, he responded, “Our little secret.” He nodded towards the bend coming up in the path. “They’re just around that corner.” Grabbing his phone from the pocket of his suit jacket he called Ryker and seconds later I could faintly hear music beginning to play up ahead.

“Are you head for this, sweetheart.”

I nodded and smiled, excitement rushing through me. “In less than an hour I’m going to be Mrs Stone.”

Reaching out to me, he took my hand and gently kissed the back. “Yes, you will and I love the sound of that.”

“Me to.” And as we rounded the corner my happily ever after came into view. The first chapter of my life was now ending and the new chapter was about to begin with everyone I love standing here with me to experience it.

“We can always postpone this. There’s still time to get our money back,” I said to Ryker and Calvin.

This was terrifying. If someone had asked me a year ago what would be more terrifying getting married to a man I met on the internet or going to college, marrying someone I’d met on the internet after only knowing them for a few months would have won, hands down. But that wasn’t the case today, not at all.

When I’d seen Ryker standing at the altar next to the minister with my mother in attendance, I hadn’t been scared at all. All I’d felt was excitement and the overwhelming sense that I was moving towards my future, a new chapter in my life.

But this… college? This was a whole different feeling. I’d just gotten settled to life on the ranch. I’d get up before the men - which was a feat in itself considering how early Calvin got up - prepare breakfast and see them off. I’d then go about my day gardening, helping with the horses and chickens and maintaining the house. It was a simple life, but it was peaceful and each day I went to bed tired, but with a sense of accomplishment.

There was also another reason why I didn’t want to leave the ranch. Two in fact, and I was looking up at them, with a part of me hoping that one would stop this madness and let me go home.

Neither one of them seemed inclined to change their mind though.

“Nope.” Calvin planted on hand on his hip and then pointed to the staircase leading into the dorms, giving me a stern look. “Get your ass in that dorm Mrs. Stone. Don’t make me ask you twice.”

I couldn’t help but smile, he loved to play tough but when it came right down to it, I’d discovered he was a bigger softie then Ryker.

Stepping up to Calvin, I placed my palms flat against his broad chest and pressed myself against him, my lips grazing the side of his neck making him inhale sharply. “Please Calvin. I can do courses online.”

“Not a chance. Your charms won’t be working on him, little lady,” Ryker chimed in.

Looking up, I saw Calvin staring down at me, eyebrow cocked. “Not a chance.”

With a groan, I stepped back. “The ranch is my home. College doesn’t make sense anymore.”

“It’s because you’ve become accustomed to life there. We won’t let you give up your dream of college for sheep and goats,” Ryker stated.

Turning my attention to my legal husband, I slipped my arms around his neck and pressed myself flush against him, brushing my lips across his. “But we’re newlyweds. Don’t you want to get to work of putting a baby in me, cowboy.”

Sliding his hands down my back, he cupped my ass cheeks in his large, powerful hands and pulled me tight against his rapidly growing erection. “Oh I don’t want anymore more than that, honey.” I opened my mouth to say, great, let’s go! until he continued, “After you get the education you’ve always wanted.”

“We know you want this, Nina,” Calvin said stepping up behind me, sandwiching me between them.

Oh Lord. It was going to be so hard going day after day without these two amazing cowboys to take care of my every need, physical, mental and emotional. Sure, we had our fights, me and Ryker. Me and Calvin. Sometimes we had a three way fight, but those were always the best since much of the time they led to threesome make up sex.

Damn, how was I going to have to survive without them? They hadn’t even left yet, and I already missed them!

“You know at least one of us will be coming down every weekend and sometimes during the week. We have it all planned out,” Ryker said, placing a light kiss on my lips and then pulling away, leaving me yearning for more. He was right. They were planning on alternating weeks, and every fourth week they’d come down together. It was a perfect plan.

“And you know what they say,” Calvin added lowering his head and p
lacing a kiss at the base of my jawline. “Absence makes the heart grow fonder.”

I moaned softly, closing my eyes and letting my head fall back against his chest, oblivious to the fact that we were out in the open with my potential dormmates mulling about us, witnessing the public display of affection the three of us were partaking in. I just didn’t care this was the last chance I’d get to be held by them for a week, I was going to indulge in the feel of their hard bodies for as long as possible.

“Well one of us is going to have to be the strength in this group, so it looks like it’s going to have to be me.” Taking a couple steps back, Ryker grabbed my hand and removed me from his brother. Leaning in, he captured my lips, but his kiss was quick. It ended so quickly, I had to touch my lips with my fingertips to determine if the kiss even happened. “Go on. Time to go.” He made a shooing motion with his hand. “Go.”

He was right. Grabbing the handle of a suitcase in each hand, I turned back to Calvin a pout on my lips and tears in my eyes.

Stepping to me, Calvin also gave me a kiss. His kiss was just as brief as his brother’s before stepping away from me to take the side of Ryker. “Listen to your husband. We’ve got to go.”

I looked over my shoulder at the building behind me. Dozens of people were coming and going from the large double doors. Everyone seemed so excited. The excitement became infectious and the reluctance I had to leave the safely of the brothers began to dim.

Turning back to the brothers, I said, “So, every weekend. Swear to me.”

They crossed their hearts in unison making me giggle. “We swear.”

Releasing the handles of the suitcases, I swiped the tears that were threatening to stream down my cheeks. The last thing my new roommate needed was to see her bunkmate a sopping mess. “All right.” Taking a deep breath in, I slowly released it, then kissed the palm of my hand and blew a kiss to Ryker and Calvin.

“I love you guys,” I said taking a moment to catch the gaze of each to have him nod and return the sentiment.

Satisfied, I turned, grabbed the handles of my suitcases and pulled them along behind me as I made my way into the building. Stopping at the doorway, I turned and laughed. They were both where I left them, two sexy as sin cowboys, watching me.

Most women struggle to find a man to love them unconditionally. Somehow, I managed to find two.

  Chapter 1

“You have got to be kidding me. Hell no!” Samantha Wilkes knocked on the panel separating her from the driver of the Lincoln Town Car who had picked her up at the airport, care of her new stepfather’s brother, Connor Hudson. The driver acted as though he couldn’t hear her. She pounded harder, the panel between the driver and back seat shaking from the force.

“This is kidnapping, asshole. Take me back to the airport!”

She’d never met Connor before, his farm being in Idaho and she and her family being in New York. He hadn’t even gone to his brother’s wedding to her mother; his excuse for not attending the wedding was that he couldn’t leave the farm unattended long enough to make a visit. Kind of a douche excuse if you asked her, he was his brother for heavens sakes!

She was happy to be a New Yorker and had no desire to be an Idahodian… She frowned. Were the locals called Idahoan’s? She didn’t know and sure as hell didn’t care to stay long enough to find out.

Frustrated that the driver was refusing to answer her screams for his attention, she flopped back into the leather seat and eyed the large farmhouse coming into view. She supposed it looked quite nice, for a farm, but it was still a farm. Despite having her window rolled up the smell of farm assaulted her nose.

“I don’t belong here,” she grumbled, more to herself than to the driver.

She’d been wondering about Connor and had come up with a mental image of him. He was a big burly hillbilly, with too much facial hair and a big gut from one too many beers each night. She didn’t know his age, but her stepfather was 52 so she assumed he was in his forties somewhere. She’d never even seen a picture of Connor, but then again, she and her stepfather never really got along all that well so it wasn’t that big of a surprise she knew nothing about his family.

Maybe there’s some hot farmhands to flirt with? The thought only made the idea of being trapped there slightly more bearable.

As the car came to a stop she looked out into the fields, hoping to see a hot man wearing just his jeans and a handkerchief. She didn’t see any and slumped back into the seat with a huff. She tried the door and was relieved that the driver had unlocked the doors so she could finally have her freedom.

The driver had already gotten out and unloaded her luggage onto the dirt driveway from the trunk by the time she stepped out of the car.

“Hey, watch how you’re handling those!” She rushed over to her precious Louis Vuitton suitcases sitting in the dirt. “Those suitcases and what’s in them cost more than you make in a year!”

“Then you’ve severely over-packed, Miss.” The middle-aged, balding man rolled his eyes and waved a dismissive hand at her. Turning his back to her he headed back to the driver’s side door.

“Wait a minute. What am I supposed to do?”

He opened the car door and paused. “Toughen up and get a new attitude, sweetheart.” Not waiting for a response he got into the car, started it up and sped off, leaving a seething and coughing Samantha in a cloud of dust.

“Asshole,” she grumbled as she looked toward the modern-styled two-story farmhouse. With a loud sigh and a heavy heart she grabbed the handles of the two suitcases and began making her way up the dirt walkway to the front door.

On the porch she stood staring at the front door a moment, considering whether she had any other options but to go in. She didn’t. She was cut off. No more credit cards, no more trust fund. No more money. Apparently, if she wanted money she’d be forced to work for Connor and earn it.

It was complete bullshit; she had a trust fund worth millions and she was being reduced to nothing more than hired labour. The trust fund, which was currently under her mother’s control, would be handed to her when she turned twenty-one. Unfortunately, that was still a year down the road, so she was at the mercy of her mother – and now the mercy of some stranger.

Pulling herself together with a deep breath, she slowly released it and knocked on the front door. No one answered. She knocked again and waited. Sti
ll no answer, but she heard movement inside. She tried the knob and it turned in her hand. She was about to open the door when the sound of a large dog barking from within made her think twice and she took a step back from the door.

Are you kidding me? They send me to this hellhole and there’s no one here to greet me or to tie up the beast! Fuck, I hate dogs! The drool, the stink, the begging…

She stayed planted on the spot and listened; she could faintly hear voices coming from behind the house, despite the barking. Not wanting to pull her luggage though more dirt and gravel she left the cases next to the door and made her way around the house. The dirt path was riddled with holes and giant rocks, making it hard for her to walk in her spike-heeled knee-high boots.

Once she finally managed to make it around to the back of the house, she saw a massive barn in the distance; the front doors were wide open and she could faintly see rows of cows. Well, guess that would be where the stink is coming from.

In the opposite direction was a stable, which had been visible from the road. Her eyes became drawn to a couple of beautiful black horses with a baby hanging around the mother. She smiled as she watched them; the baby was adorable. The horses intrigued her; one thing she’d never done before was ride a horse, but she’d always wanted to.

Maybe Connor will teach me? She carefully began walking toward the fenced-in area where the horses were lounging.

Crossing her arms over the wooden rail, she placed her chin upon them and watched them.

  “You must be the girl.”
