Oliver

He wanted—he needed—to see. Tracing a path from the top of Oliver’s shaft to its root, Sebastian licked around it before moving just a bit, just what he needed to see the hard plastic move out and sink back into his mate’s channel. The tight pucker was stretched around the plug, the wrinkled skin pink and inviting, and he couldn’t help but imagine how it would look wrapped around his dick as he sank into Oliver, making them one.

Grabbing the lube, Sebastian spread a good amount of it on his cock before taking Oliver’s hands from where they were inching closer to the man’s dick. “Uh huh, you’re not going to come until I’m so deep inside you that you’ll feel me for days.” Sebastian nipped at the tender skin of Oliver’s inner thigh as he pulled the plug out once again, but this time he didn’t let it slide back in. He took it out completely and let it drop on the bed before pushing two of his fingers in in its place.

Oliver’s hands flew back to Sebastian’s hair as he writhed under him, unrecognizable noises coming from his mouth. The only things Sebastian understood were “now” and “please,” and the fact that he was making his mate speechless in passion was a direct boost to his ego.

He pumped his fingers in and out a few times before adding a third one, but there was no need, not really. The plug had done its job, and Oliver was ready to take him. He just liked the feeling of his mate’s flesh sucking him in, hot and tight around his fingers as Oliver moaned wantonly and hitched his legs as high as they could go.

Sebastian didn’t lose time after making sure Oliver wouldn’t feel pain. He moved back up, plastering their bodies together as he felt the sensitive head of his cock nudging Oliver’s lubed opening. It didn’t take much for it to slide in. Sebastian’s shaft was suddenly engulfed in wet, tight heat as Oliver’s chute sucked him in. Oliver moved up to capture Sebastian’s lips with his own, their tongues moving together as Sebastian moved his hips, fast and hard.

He knew he should slow down and savor this experience, but he just couldn’t. He had dreamed about being in Oliver for months, and now he was finally living it. He hammered his hips into Oliver’s willing hole as his mate clutched his back, his shoulders, and from what Sebastian could feel, he was leaving scratches there. He would wear them proudly.

Oliver’s chest suddenly vibrated as a loud growl moved from his throat, and Sebastian separated their lips to look up into his mate’s eyes. He was scared he might be hurting Oliver, and his hips stopped moving as his eyes widened. He could still see Oliver in his mate’s dark eyes, but he could also see the predator that lurked in him as Oliver opened his mouth to expose his extended canines. Sebastian knew his man was feeling the need to mark him for everyone to see, so he tilted his head to the side, silently giving Oliver permission. This was what he wanted, to mate with the man he loved.

Oliver struck fast and hard, his canines sinking deep into the flesh of Sebastian’s neck as he clutched him close, preventing him from moving away. He didn’t want to anyway. Each suck that Oliver took from Sebastian’s neck reverberated along his spine to his cock, and Sebastian just couldn’t keep his orgasm at bay anymore.

He started to move again, pumping his hips once, twice, before he came, his seed shooting into his mate’s channel. Sebastian could still fell Oliver’s teeth in him, his mate’s neck exposed for him to take. He struck too, embedding his canines into his mate’s neck, the sweet flavor of Oliver’s blood hitting his tongue as he swallowed it down. He had never tasted anything like this. The taste, the scent that surrounded him, the cum that now covered them both, was uniquely Oliver, and he was deep into his mate, especially when he felt their bond snapping into place.

He could feel the contentment and the sated relaxation that was taking over Oliver, but it was not the only thing he could feel. There was another presence there, and it was longing for freedom.

Sebastian barely had the time to slip out of his mate’s body before the air around Oliver started to tremble, dark hair spurting from his body as he grew, both taller and larger, until Sebastian found himself in Yogi’s arms, their eyes locked as he hoped the bear recognized him as his mate.

  Chapter Five

Shit. Shit, shit, shit! Oliver didn’t know what had happened or how to solve this. Well, he knew what had happened. He had shifted for the very first time, but did he really have to do it while naked in bed with Sebastian? Even more so, did it really have to be like, seconds after they had just made love and claimed each other?

If Sebastian hadn’t been so quick to move away, Oliver would have shifted while...ugh, he didn’t even want to think about it!

“Uh, love? Careful with those claws, okay?”

Oliver realized that he had been digging into the mattress so he awkwardly tried to get his claws out of the fabric, but it seemed that every move he made, he managed to just rip it apart a little more. He was scared to move, but he could hear the bed creaking. It wasn’t exactly made to host a fully grown bear plus his mate, even if Sebastian was in human form.

Oliver could guess he wasn’t moving because he didn’t want to spook him or Yogi, but they really couldn’t stay there if they wanted the bed to survive their first time making love. But how did he make Sebastian move? It wasn’t like he could just tell the man since he couldn’t speak.

Oliver looked at his mate and was relieved that he couldn’t see any fear in Sebastian’s eyes. If anything, he thought he could see awe and love shinning in them, but he couldn’t be sure, especially about the second one. He just didn’t have time to investigate right now.

Since he had his mate’s attention, Oliver tried to make him understand that he had to move. He jerked his head to the side of the bed, the movement weird and awkward in this form. It felt as if he didn’t even have control over his movements.

  “You want me to move?”

The bed creaked louder and Oliver tried to nod, but it came out a little too enthusiastic and he nailed Sebastian in the chin with his...snout? Yeah, it was definitely weird, and he watched Sebastian bitch and swear, blood gushing from his lip since he had apparently bitten it when Oliver had hit him. He did get off Oliver and the bed, though, and Oliver hurried down, or at least he tried to.

It wasn’t easy to figure out how to get off the bed while he was flat on his back, so he kind of tried to slide from it, but he ended up entangling his claws into the comforter. A loud ripping sound filled the room and he would have blushed if he had been in human form. He hurried from the bed, but it was too late. As he felt his hairy butt just on the edge of it, the bed collapsed under his weight, the wood creaking and protesting. Sure, it was easier to get off now, but Oliver wanted to go bury himself somewhere where no one would ever find him.

Instead, he bundled himself in a corner, trying to make himself as small as he could. He was pretty sure he did a poor job of it, being a bear and all, but at least he didn’t have to see the blood running down Sebastian’s chin anymore. Shit, they had mated only seconds earlier, and he was already proving he was a lousy mate and a lousy shifter. He had thought shifting would come naturally, that once he managed to do it his life would be perfect, but this situation was far from it. Even now as he tried to get into a fetal position, he bumped against the nightstand and sent the lamp flying, the crash loud to his now sensitive ears.

Okay, maybe it would be better if he just stopped moving and shifted back. He tried to do just that, but since he didn’t know exactly how he had managed to shift into a bear in the first place, he didn’t really know how to get back to his human form. He tried to concentrate like Bryce had taught him, but on his human form instead of the bear one, but the results were exactly those he expected—nonexistent.

“Babe? Are you okay?” Oliver felt a hand sinking into the fur of his neck and he would have purred if he had been a cat. Wait, he was purring! He had no idea bears made that kind of noises, but god, it felt so good to have someone pet him! He moved his head a bit, trying to push into Sebastian’s touch, but he suddenly remembered why he was hiding in the first
place. He sneaked a peek at his mate and was relieved to see that there was no blood to see anymore. Sebastian had already healed, courtesy of his shifter’s genes, and he had cleaned up.

“What the fuck?” someone yelled as the door crashed in.

Oliver lost control for just a few seconds as he realized that whoever was at the door was seeing his mate buck-naked. He crawled to his...paws surprisingly fast, and pushed himself in front of his mate, facing a stunned Bryce in all of his bear glory. Damn, he was so tall standing on his hind legs! He was towering over both Bryce and Sebastian and he could literally feel the top of his head touching the ceiling. He was lucky Dominic liked high ceilings, because he would have left a dent in a lower one.

Oliver growled in warning and clacked his teeth, even if in the back of his mind he knew Bryce was a friend and that he was already mated. Yogi wouldn’t have any of it, though, at least until Sebastian laid a hand on Oliver’s furry waist and stepped in front of him, showing Oliver that he was dressed. By now Bryce was laughing so hard he had had to sit down in the armchair near the door, his face red as he tried to suck in enough breath just to start laughing again as soon as he looked back at the bed.

Oliver growled again, this time in annoyance at the cougar. It wasn’t funny, damn him! He was stuck in bear form, and no one was helping him!

“Bryce? What’s wrong?” Great, now Finn was there too. Maybe they could just throw a party and invite the rest of the pride to have a good laugh at Oliver’s expense. Grumbling, he got back on all four and gingerly turned around, trying as much as he could to avoid touching anything as he got back into his corner and hid his head under his paw. He could hear the three men talking, but he didn’t pay attention to what they were saying until he recognized Dominic’s voice. He mentally groaned. Really, did everyone have to come here just now?

“Babe, don’t be like this,” Sebastian said. “No one is angry at you, and I don’t care about the bed. We’ll go buy a new one together, okay?”

Oliver groaned, not sure if Sebastian actually expected an answer from him, but this was the best he could do anyway.

“Hey, Oliver. I’m glad to see you finally managed to shift,” Dominic said with a chuckle. Oliver rolled his eyes at the Alpha. Yeah, yeah, he knew he should be happy to know he could shift. He was, actually, but right now he was more embarrassed than anything else. “Okay, we’re going to try to make you shift back. Just focus on my voice.”

Oliver wanted to tell Dominic that he had already tried to concentrate and all that crap, but since he couldn’t, he decided to try again. It wasn’t like he had that many options. He stood up, mentally snickering when he saw that he towered over Dominic, too. He then closed his eyes and focused on Dominic’s smoky voice as the Alpha told him to imagine himself as a human Oliver, doing something he liked to do. Oliver couldn’t help but think about what he had been doing only minutes ago in the bed that was now in pieces on the carpet.

Yeah, that had been the most incredible sexual experience of Oliver’s life. Not only sexual, no. When the bond had snapped in place, he had felt the happiness coming from Sebastian, and he couldn’t wait do it again, hopefully soon. He imagined how Sebastian’s tongue had felt on his skin, how his fingers had felt inside of him, and he felt the air tremble around him as his body shifted. It was a weird sensation, like goose bumps covering his body, a light current running on his skin, but when he opened his eyes and looked down, he saw his feet. His human feet.

He also saw that while imagining Sebastian had helped him shift, it had also given him a boner that was in everyone’s sight right now. He snatched the sheet from the collapsed bed and hid under it, but when he looked up he was relieved to see that everyone was busy examining some other part of the room, even if Bryce looked suspiciously as if he was about to start laughing again. The only one looking at him was Sebastian, and he had a huge smile on his face.

  “Did I...did I hurt you?”

“No, love, don’t worry. It’s already healed.”

Bryce looked from Oliver to Sebastian and lost it again, roaring until Finn rolled his eyes at Oliver and shimmered his mate away.

“How did I shift? I mean, I tried to shift for days and I couldn’t do it, and now I shifted without meaning to.”

“Well, I’m guessing that your mating Sebastian somehow brought your bear out. Since it seems everything is fine, I’ll leave the two of you. Congratulations on your mating, and Oliver? If you want help to learn how to shift, just ask.” With that Dominic left and Oliver let himself collapse on the bed. It could have gone worse, right?

  * * * *

That had been...interesting. Sebastian knew Oliver was ashamed at not being able to control his shift and embarrassed because someone other than he had seen the whole thing, but he shouldn’t have been. “Love, what happened is normal. No one is able to control his shift in the beginning.”

Oliver rolled his eyes. “I know that, but I’m sure it’s cuter to see a few-months-old baby shift back and forth, and I don’t think they do that much damage.”

“I’m not sure about that. It’s true children usually manage to control the shifts once they reach two or three years old, but that changes when they get to puberty. All those hormones mess up the control we have on our animal part, and we end up shifting in the worst possible moments. I remember when I shifted in the school’s locker room after P.E. Luckily I was alone, but I did make two benches collapse, and I had to hide in the toilet for an hour before I managed to shift back.”

That made Oliver smile, and Sebastian knew it wouldn’t take much to put this experience behind them. Not that he was above using it to tease Oliver in the future, but it might be a good idea to let some time pass before that. Bryce was already going to be teasing enough for the moment.

“And what had triggered it? You talked about hormones, right?”

“Uuuh, let’s say the quarterback of the football team was a recurrent star in some of my thoughts.”

Oliver chuckled and raised a brow. “Oh yeah? You like quarterbacks?”

“I used to like them. Now I much prefer tall, handsome guys with dark hair and a bear inside them.”

Oliver growled a bit. “You’d better prefer one specific tall, handsome guy with dark hair.”

Sebastian tumbled on top of his mate as he laughed. “Yeah, one very specific guy.”

Oliver opened his mouth, probably to let out another snarly remark, so Sebastian stopped him by kissing the hell out of his mate. Only when they both were panting and grinding against each other did Sebastian move away. “As much as I want to start round two, I have to go down to the cells and try to get something out of those scientists guys.”

  “I want to come.”

  “No.”

Oliver stood up and took a stubborn stance in front of Sebastian. Okay, he knew he wasn’t going to win this, but he could try, right?

  “They’re in cells, right?”

“Yeah.” Oh, he could see where this was going.

“So they won’t be able to even touch me if I don’t go in the cells?”

  “No, but—”

“Then I don’t see what the problem is. I won’t go in, but I want to hear what they have to say. I’ve been in that hell for a year and a half—I think I have the right to know.” Oliver crossed his arms on his chest, clearly challenging Sebastian to try and argue with him.

“You’re right, but I don’t want you to have to face them.” Oliver still had nightmares and he often woke Sebastian up during the night. He was getting better, though, and Sebastian was afraid that seeing those men would make everything come back.

Oliver’s expression softened, but he didn’t move one bit. “I know you’re worried about me, and I know it’s a sign that you care, but I’m strong. I’ve never been so strong, in fact, and it’s also thanks to you. I’ve come a long way from where I was two years ago. I have a family, a mate, and I shift into a huge, kick-ass bear. I’ll be fine.”

  Sebastian knew
Oliver was asking him to trust him, and as much as he wanted to wrap the man into fluffy cotton and put him away from the world, he knew he couldn’t. “Fine,” He said with a sigh. “I’ll ask Dominic, but I don’t think he’ll have problems with it. Maybe you can help us identify the guys or something.”

Oliver nodded and his stance relaxed. Sebastian couldn’t help but get up and hug his mate, stealing a kiss from Oliver’s lush lips in the process. “So, what do I look like as a bear?”

Sebastian chuckled. “Didn’t you just say that you’re huge and kick-ass?”

“Yeah, but apart from the fact that I know for sure I’m not a polar bear, I don’t know what type of bear I am.”

  “Kodiak.”

“Uh huh. Tell me more.” Oliver was skimming his nose along Sebastian’s neck, making it hard to concentrate on anything else.

  “So, Kodiak bears. Okay.”

“What’s wrong, love? Having trouble talking?” Sebastian could hear the smile in Oliver’s voice, and he could feel his mouth curling against his skin.

“You want to know or not? Because if you go on like that, you won’t find out anything except how much I want you.”

Sebastian felt Oliver’s teeth closing on his flesh, the bite hard enough to mark him but not enough to break skin, then Oliver released him and went over to the dresser.

“Kodiaks are the biggest kind of bears in nature along with polar bears. I think you easily reach nine or ten feet when you’re standing up, so yeah, you’re kick-ass.”

Oliver looked up at the ceiling. “Wow, I knew I was tall enough to reach the ceiling, but I didn’t think that tall.” He tugged on jeans and a t-shirt and waited for Sebastian to do the same before following him outside the room. Sebastian reached behind him and grabbed his mate’s hand, holding him tight as they reached Isaiah’s office. The man was typing away at his computer like always, the white light from the screen reflecting on his face.
