“I’m good on all that. I’ll leave that love shit to you, Thug, and Stacks.”

“Speaking of Stacks he wants us to fly out to Miami soon to get up with this new dude we’ll be copping weight from.”

“Aight just let me know. Come on NeNe lets go home.” I said picking her up. “I’ma get back with you later bruh.”

  “Be easy.” Khalil nodded.

Walking out the room I bumped into Tosha holding baby Toshanna.

“Hey ghetto girl.” I smirked pulling off her satin cap.

“I know you gon let me be.” she laughed.

“You need to handle them naps girl.” I joked.

  “Shut up. You leaving?”

  “Yeah I’m out of here.”

“You need to talk to your boy he holding me hostage.” she sighed.

“He only got your best interest at heart. Enjoy the help while you can.” I replied.

“I know I just want my space.” she rolled her eyes.

“Chill out here at least until your six weeks checkup.” I suggested.

  “I’ll try.”

“How’s little mama?” I asked peeking at the baby.

“She’s doing good. I kind of wished Gunz was here to see her.”

“You’ll be ok sis, you got us.”

“I know, thank you. How are you holding up? I heard you went on a date.”

“I wish La’Tissa would stop telling people that, I just smashed.” I honestly replied.

“Don’t let Lori stop you from loving anyone. That’s her loss not yours, you’re a great guy and father.”

“I know but for now I’m cool on all that. Just getting my Jr. wet is all I’m concerned about.”

  “You a fool.”

“Always have been and always will be.” I laughed. “I’ll holla later.”

“Aight bruh, bye Miss NeNe.” she smiled at NeNe who squealed out in delight.

“She look just like her bitch ass mama.” Tosha rolled her eyes.

Everyone was mad at Lori for leaving us hanging like that. Whenever she did come back around I hope she was prepared for this heat she was about to receive. La’Tissa personally wanted to deliver an ass whooping to her ass. I on the other hand secretly wished she would return, I was hurting behind this shit and I needed answers.

“You ready to go home daddy’s baby?” I said to NeNe as I placed her in her car seat.

  “Eat-Eat.” she replied.

  “You hungry?” I asked.

  “Eat-Eat!” she screamed out.

“Yeah your greedy butt can eat.” I chuckled getting in the car.

Since I wasn’t in the mood to cook I decided to pick up some take out from Pollo Tropical. I grabbed us both a quarter dark with rice and beans. When we got home I fed NeNe her food, gave her a bath, and put her down for bed. The moments I spent with my daughter were ones that I cherished. I couldn’t wrap my head around why Lori would leave and miss out on all these precious moments. I sat in front of my food, but thinking about Lori had me losing my appetite. I was in need of some release so I called up Dawn and asked her to come to the house. Rolling up a few blunts, I sat in the back and smoked until Dawn finally made her way to the house.

“This is a nice house.” she said as I led her to my man cave.

Although I was feeling ill about Lori at the moment I felt it would be disrespectful if I fucked another bitch in our bed.

“Drop them panties and get on the couch face down.” I ordered not really down for making conversation.

  Chapter 6

  Oneeka

Getting rid of Lori was the best decision I ever made. My cousin Nino was a pimp who was always looking for new pussy to sell so it was nothing for me to pass her over for a small fee. My gut feeling told me to kill her, but I couldn’t bring myself to do it. At the end of the day I was far from a murderer.

With Lori out of the picture I had to make it seem like I was actually in treatment and getting better. As long as I took my pills I was fine so I decided to stay on my medication. I knew for a fact that my daughter was dead and NeNe wasn’t mine, but that didn’t stop me from believing she was. I needed someone to fill that void in my heart that I was feeling due to the death of my daughter and she was the perfect candidate.

“Where do you think you’re going?” my mother asked barging in my room.

“I’m better so I’m leaving now.” I replied never taking my eyes from the bag I was packing.

“Oneeka I am not stupid I know you didn’t complete the program because they called me. I’m taking you back now!” she snapped.

“I got released! I’m fine!” I yelled feeling my temper rise.

“If you don’t take your ass back there I’m calling Dre since he’s the one that paid for all of this.” she threatened.

The thought of her calling Dre and ruining my plans on getting back with him had me furious.

“Just get the fuck out of my room!” I yelled.

“Get your stuff and let’s go before I call him.”

“If you call him I will-”

“You will do what?” she asked getting in my face.

My fast reflex caused me to hit her hard in the head with one of my pumps.

“You crazy bitch!” she yelled holding the gash in her forehead. “I’m calling the fucking police you’re going to jail.” she said walking out the room.

I grabbed the pocket knife and ran after her jabbing it in the back of her neck. All the blood that flew everywhere caused me to get sick to my stomach. I continued to jab her with the knife until her body became motionless. No one was going to get in the way of me having my perfect family. When I realized I killed my mother my heart began beating fast. Thinking quick on my toes, I grabbed my bags and placed them by the door. I hurriedly changed out of all the blood stained clothes and placed them into the garbage. I then grabbed a container of gasoline and threw it all over the house and on her body. Once I was sure that everything was covered in gas, I walked outside lit a match and threw it.

I placed my suitcase inside of the car trunk and I went across the street and watched as flames took over the house. Sitting on my suitcase I patiently waited for someone to call the police to report the fire. Ten minutes later a crowd was formed in front of my house as the fire rescue team tried it’s hardest to put the fire out. Before running across the street I made sure to calm myself down and appear to be concerned.

“Ma’am you can’t go back there.” a firefighter said.

“Oh my God I live here.” I cried. “My mother! Where is my mother?” I panicked putting on a show.

“She lives there.” one of my neighbors said.

I stood there with tears in my eyes as I watched them put the fire out. When the firefighter walked out with remains of my mother’s badly burned body I lost it. What I had done just finally hit me and I was beginning to feel terrible. I didn’t mean to kill her, I just had to stop her from ruining my only chance to get Dre.

“I’m sorry.” the firefighter tried to console me.

“Oh God no! That can’t be her.” I cried.

“We can have the remains looked over my a medical examiner, if you’d like.”

“Do whatever you can I just don’t want to believe that my mother died in that fire.” I faked cried.

I watched in a daze as they declared my mother’s house a crime scene. They had all types of people there trying to figure out the cause of the fire. They also went as far as talking to the neighbors to see if anyone saw anything but came up empty. When everything was over, instead of finding a hotel to crash at for the night I boarded a flight to Atlanta.

“What are you doing here?” Dre asked answering the door with NeNe on his hip.

  “She’s dead.” I cried.

“Who’s dead?” he asked with a concern look on his face.

“My mother, I waited for her to come pick me up from the program and when she never did I caught the bus there only to see her house in flames.” I
sobbed. “I don’t know what I’m going to do Dre, I need your help.”

“Come in and we’ll figure this shit out.” Dre said.

No matter what he may say I knew he had a soft spot for me. I was his first love, the mother of his first biological child. We shared too much chemistry for him to just push me off to the side. He loved me and he proved it by always running to my rescue when I needed him to.

“Did the police say anything?” he asked.

“They suspect foul play; the lead detective has my number and claims he will call me if he has any leads.” I lied.

“Damn, so you finished the program?” he quizzed.

“Yes.” I said digging in my bag and pulling out a fake certificate with discharge papers that I forged.

“I’m proud of you ma.” he smiled looking over the paper work.

“Thank you. I’m all better now Dre I don’t even need meds I’m one hundred percent back.” I continued with my lies.

“I knew you was gon’ be straight all you needed was the appropriate help.”

“Where is Lori? I don’t want to cause any problems.” I said with a serious face while chuckling in the inside.

“We’re not together anymore.” he replied.

  “Really? What happened?”

“That’s not really important. We have to figure out where you’re going to stay.”

“Dre I can’t go back there with my mother gone I don’t have anyone and I don’t want to go through this alone.” I replied playing off his emotions.

“Man.” he sighed rubbing his hands over his face. “Tonight you can stay in the guest bedroom, but we have to figure out something in the morning because you can’t stay here.” he said.

  “Why not?”

“Because shit between us ain’t sweet. I mean I see you got well and I’m happy for you but I’m not trying to go there with you. Plus I don’t really trust females around my daughter.”

I wanted to scream and tell him that the little bastard he was holding didn’t belong to him but I didn’t want to risk getting thrown out on my ass so I decided to hold my tongue.

“I understand.” I replied. I was going to give Dre time to warm up to me but we were going to be together and I was going to make sure of that.

“Can I hold her?” I asked reaching my arms out to NeNe.

“Nah she’s tired.” he waved me off.

Watching how overprotective he was over a child that wasn’t his made me wonder if he would have been the same with our child. The more I thought of our little princess the more I felt myself losing touch with reality. I needed to take my pills quick before I had another episode.

“Can I use the bathroom?” I asked.

“Yeah you know where it is.” he replied.

Getting up I made my way to the first guest bathroom locking the door behind me. I leaned against the sink threw a pill in my mouth and washed it down with faucet water. I grabbed a handful of water and splashed it over my face. Giving my reflection a sinister grin, I dried my face and walked out of the bathroom.

“You will be staying in the guest house.” Dre startled me.

  “The guest house?” I asked.

“Yes I don’t feel comfortable with you sleeping in the same house with my daughter so you can stay in there for now.” he replied.

His daughter, I thought to myself as I discreetly rolled my eyes. If this little bitch was going to be a problem between Dre and I then I had no problems with filling her bottle with rat poison. I thought I didn’t have it in me to kill but after getting rid of my mother anything was possible with me.

  “I understand.” I replied.

  “Are you hungry?” he asked.

“Not really but I’ll take something to drink.”

While following Dre to the kitchen I noticed a few pictures of Lori. I figured by now he would have gotten rid of everything that had anything to do with her. Jealousy began to fill my body as I thought of the possibilities of him still being in love with her.

“Do you still love her?” I asked.

“Why would you ask me that?” he countered, placing NeNe in her high chair. He placed a few crackers in front of her then leaned his tall frame against the granite counter.

“You still have pictures of her plastered all over the walls.” I replied.

“Oneeka if I’m going to help you out you need to learn how to mind your fucking business.” he snapped.

The hurt look he tried to mask proved to me that he was still in love with her. That would be something he would just have to get over because there was no coming back for Lori. Even if she was to show up she would have been too doped up that even Dre wouldn’t want anything to do with her.

“Do you still love me?” I asked. I knew it was a stretch and he would probably end up cursing me out but I had to know.

“I used to love you but I don’t anymore. Matter of fact I don’t love no bitch. I only love my daughter and this money, fuck everything else.” hHe spat. “Now hurry up and drink that damn tea so I can escort your ass to the guest house. Keep fucking with me and you gon’ find yourself sleeping on the side of the fucking road real shit.” he snapped.

Call me crazy but hearing him talk to me that way had my panties wet. The authority he held in his voice made me want to just jump on his dick and ride him right in the middle of the kitchen floor. Licking my lips I followed behind him as he led me to the guest house with thoughts of his dick deep down my throat.

  Chapter 7

  Khalil

“Ohh daddy I want that one too.” Liyah jumped up and down as we walked through the mall. We were out shopping for her sleepover and she wanted everything in sight.

“Damn Liyah baby you trying to spend all daddy’s money.” I replied.

“Don’t be silly daddy, I’m worth it.” she smiled.

“Why do we have to buy all this stuff for a sleepover anyways?” I asked.

“I have to outdo Nyma. She had everything at her sleepover and I want mine to be better.” she fussed.

At six years old Liyah was a spoiled brat. She wanted things to go her way and when it didn’t she would stomp her feet and poke her lips out. Her temper tantrums would always work on me, but La’Tissa wasn’t having it. She wouldn’t hesitate to pop Liyah in the ass for acting up.

“Liyah I already hired an event planner that’s setting up for your sleepover trust me you don’t need all this stuff.” I said referring to the customized American Dolls she wanted to buy for all her guests. Each doll cost me eighty bucks and Liyah was expecting at least ten girls there.

“Daddy you said I could have the world.” she pouted.

“And I meant that.” I replied.

“So please can I have this one thing pleeeeeeeeeeease, I promise we won’t have to go shopping next week.” she had the nerve to say.

“I’m definitely not taking you shopping next week.” I stood my ground.

“That’s fine, Uncle Dre will take me when he takes NeNe.” she replied matter of factly.

“Hey Khalil.” a voice said causing me to look up.

“Oh what’s up Wanda.” I replied looking her over. She lost all her baby weight and was looking real good. Wanda is a girl I used to fuck with on and off before she got with Qua. When I got locked up she decided it was best she cut ties with me and I respected her for that. Unlike some bitches that’ll fake holding you down while you served your bid she kept it one hundred with me.

“Is this you and Qua little girl?” she asked.

  “Yes.”

“She is too cute.” she smiled at Liyah.

  “Thank you.” I replied.

“Daddy can you say bye to your friend so we can finish shopping?” Liyah said with a frown.

“Liyah chill out you know better than that.” I sternly replied.

“You know mommy hates when you talk to thots, you know how she get’s so lets go.” she said shocking both me and Wanda.

  “Liyah baby say sorry.”

&nb
sp; “Sorry, now can we go?” she huffed.

This was an everyday thing with Liyah. Whenever we would run into a woman that would stop and talk to me her attitude would go from zero to one hundred real quick. She didn’t play when it came to women showing interest in me she even threatened to tell La’Tissa on her tutor for touching my arm while talking to me. That little girl didn’t miss a beat and didn’t hold her tongue for anybody.

“I’m sorry about that Wanda, I’ll get up with you later tho’.” I said to her before walking off.

“Liyah that was not nice and where did you get the word thot from?” I asked.

“Well mommy was talking to Auntie Tosha and she was telling her that them thots always trying to steal men that didn’t belong to them. You don’t belong to that girl you belong to mommy, therefore she’s a thot.” Liyah went on to say.
