Violet (Club Nymph Book 1)

He had high cheekbones, thick but shaped eyebrows and long lashes that made me envious. His hair was dark in the red-violet light of the club but I could see it was stylishly messy. And those eyes…sapphire blue with aquamarine in the middle…it was so different from my grey ones. The color was so bright and hypnotizing. Even the light of the club couldn’t hide it.
I must have looked like a weirdo just standing there openly swooning over him and not saying a word. My only excuse was that he didn’t say anything, either. Finally, I swallowed and opened my mouth to speak but he was faster.
“Am I supposed to say anything, Flame? You came into the booth, there must be something you wanna say.” His eyes were amused while his face stayed neutral.
“Flame?” I asked confused, my mind not quite working yet.
“I watched your show and your hair looked like exotic flames under the light,” he answered while eyeing me from head to toe. A ghost of a smile formed on his lips.
I didn’t know how to answer to this comment so I let it slip.
“Umm…I came here to take your drink orders, sir,” I said.
“And you decided to eye-fuck me instead, hmm, Flame?” he asked while truly smirking.
I straightened my back and cocked my eyebrow.
“I didn’t see you complaining, sir. And if I remember correctly you were doing the same,” I snapped back.
“I came here to watch you. You are working on a job that requires people to watch you, eye-fuck you, desire you. Now, you’re angry that I have done what I came here for? What I paid for?” he said calmly.
I pointed my forefinger to him and hissed. “You-”
But before I could voice my insult he pulled me toward him. I was flushed to his hard body while looking at his beautiful eyes. My body melted into him without my permission.
“Now…what were you saying, Flame?” he whispered close to my mouth.
What the fuck?
I was in the same space with him just for a few minutes and I was extremely angry and turned on at the same time. But now…while I was looking at him I couldn’t remember why I was angry. He was right. I was here so that people could watch me and I came here to take drink orders but eye-fucked him instead.
As if this wasn’t enough, now, I was thinking about actually fucking him.
“Flame?” he whispered again while watching me with the amused expression on his face.
“My name isn’t Flame. It’s Violet,” I said. It was the only answer that came to my mind.
“But that’s not your real name, is it?” he barely whispered in my ear still holding me close and to my own horror I wasn’t willing to let him go, either.
“Everyone in this club seems to believe it. Why wouldn’t you?” I whispered to him. I wasn’t able to manage more than a whisper while he was caressing my body slowly. His hands were moving from under my breasts to my hip but he didn’t cross the line. He didn’t touch my ass or my breasts. At that moment, I knew I wouldn’t mind him touching me.
“If your real name was Violet, you wouldn’t dye your hair to that color. You don’t seem that simple-minded or easy,” he answered. His logic reminded me what I thought about Harley and her situation with the bike. If I were in her shoes, I would steer clear anything bike related. And if my name were really Violet…yeah, I wouldn’t use that color for anything. I wasn’t sure if his logic was making any sense to anyone else but in that moment, it made perfect sense to me. Even it was silly he was right about my name, I couldn’t protest.
Before I could find an answer someone came into the booth and whistled.
“Whoa! Brother, you didn’t tell me you were planning to party,” he said with a carefree voice.
I jumped out from his arms to put some space between us and turned to look at the guy that just came in.
He was…they were…
If I thought I was dumbstruck already the moment I saw the man coming up behind me, I was lost.
They were identical twins for fuck’s sake!
“You are…” I mumbled looking from one to the other.
“Yes, we are twins, Flame. Get over it.” The bastard one said.
“Xander, don’t be a bastard, bro,” he said and turned to me, extending his arm.
“Hi, Violet. I’m Alex. This grumpy bastard is my twin brother Xander but as you see, I’m the better looking one. Also, I’m a big fan of you, Gorgeous.” Alex said in a carefree and playful tone.
I laughed at him. He was as gorgeous as his brother but truly so much cuter. He wasn’t in a suit like Xander, he was wearing dark jeans with a blue t-shirt and his hair was like he had just got out of the bed.
“See brother? I can make her smile.” Alex said to his brother.
Xander was watching me intensely.
“You can make her smile brother but I can make her scream,” he said without looking his brother.
I squirmed under his gaze and his words. I needed to get out of here before I embarrassed myself further.
“You know bro, I can always help you do that.” Alex answered his brother like I wasn’t there.
“Umm, I’d better be going. I have to do another round. Would you like anything to drink?”
“I’d like to drink juice…Violet juice if you have it. Can you lie down on the table, gorgeous?” Alex said playfully.
“Come again when you can make better jokes,” I said in reply and rolled my eyes. I couldn’t help but giggle at him, though.
“I don’t care to make better jokes if I can have my head between your legs, Gorgeous,” he winked at me. He was too obvious but because of his good looks, sweet dimple and cute attitude I couldn’t help but like him. He was flirt on two legs, if his obvious attempt can be called as flirting. He was like a sweet little boy with a deadly cute charm. A dangerous mixture for a girl’s heart.
Xander was silent during my little chat with Alex. He definitely looked more serious. Alex was sweet, playful and easygoing. But he showed clearly how bold he could be and that he was also capable of making me as uncomfortable as Xander. I looked at Xander—his eyes were amused like he knew what I was thinking.
“Umm, drinks?” I murmured to him. His gaze was making me blush and squirm while Alex’s made me want to giggle.
“Bourbon for me, beer to him, please,” he answered with cold demanding voice. His way of talking was so different than Alex’s that made me smile at him before I could stop myself. His eyes softened while he was looking at my lips.
“Coming right up,” I said and got out of that place as fast as I could.
As soon as I left the booth I let out a long breath. My whole body was tingling, sparkling with sensation. I had been sexually deprived for two years but before that, my sexual life was colorful and active enough. Yet, I had never felt the way I did when I was around these two men.
Since two years ago I hadn’t lived, I faked. But inside that booth when I was around Alex and Xander…I felt alive, happy, almost like myself, the old me.
I shook my head to clear these thoughts and started to walk. At the stairs, I saw Salem.
“Violet, is everything okay? Pax said you went to take orders but it took too long. Did someone cause you problem?” she asked with concern in her voice.
“No. Everything’s okay. Just…we talked a little.”
She nodded, and then a grin broke on her face.
“What do you think?” she asked.
“About what?”
“C’mon Violet! Harley told me booth five is The Vincent brothers’. What do you think about them? They are hot as hell, aren’t they?” she said as biting her bottom lip seductively.
I quickened my steps to escape this conversation but Salem kept talking.
“I don’t know which one I’d choose. They are lickable. Did you see those eyes?”
Uggh…That definitely wasn’t what I needed.
The moment I reached the bar and gave K the orders, I knew I didn’t delay her anymore.
“Yeah, they’re
not bad,” I answered nonchalantly.
Fortunately, K was quick with the drinks I didn’t have to talk more about them. But inwardly, I was so confused, affected and turned on by the twins.
I walked back up the stairs until I reached their booth. They were talking seriously about something I couldn’t hear but as soon as they saw me, all attention was on me again. The situation made me dizzy. One gorgeous man was enough to make a woman uncomfortable. Poor me, I was trying to stand two of the same yet so different men at the same time.
Without talking, I started to serve their drinks but my hands were shaking like a shy high school girl because of their intense gazes on me. I had never felt that strong lust before but around them, it was instant. I fought with the urge to do things to them each second when I was in the booth.
“Would you like anything else?” I asked with the most professional voice I could muster.
Xander cocked his eyebrow to my question but before I could clarify myself Alex talked.
“Violet, would you like to do modeling?” he asked. I saw Xander’s head jerked toward his brother with frustration but I ignored it while trying to understand the question.
“Modeling? How?” I asked.
“I mean, I’m a photographer and I want you to be my model. What do you say about it?”
“Umm…I don’t think I’ll be the right one for it. Thank you for the offer but I’ve never done anything like that,” I said. I wasn’t expecting to have an offer like that.
“Actually, you’re doing something like that,” he said with a mischievous gleam in his eyes.
“What do you mean?” I asked, still feeling confused.
“Alex takes sensual photographs, Flame. You’re dancing to create sexuality and Alex creates art from that sexuality.” Xander answered my question. He looked like he was also considering this offer.
“I…I don’t know,” I answered and Xander stood up immediately with my answer. When he was standing, he dominated the space. He radiated power around him as Alex spread the fun. Xander extended me a card.
“Think about it and call me when you make up your mind.”
“I thought Alex was the photographer? Why should I call you?” I asked while taking the card. He smirked at my answer.
“Because I want you to.”
I didn’t know what to say after that answer, because he looked like a man who always gets what he wants. That’s why I didn’t answer and with a brief nod I left the booth. Before I went far I heard them talking.
“She’s so hot.” Alex groaned. I couldn’t help my smile. The feeling was totally mutual.
“But I thought you weren’t interested in my offer,” Alex continued, sounding amused.
I waited for Xander’s answer. I don’t know why but his answer seemed more important to me.
His answer came in a husky voice and made my breath quicken.
“I want her. Any way I can.”
After I made two more rounds to the VIP section, Channing and the girls finally set me free. My legs were killing me, all I wanted to do was go home and sleep like a log for days after tonight but I knew I had to see my boss first.
I walked toward his office, all the while wishing for him to not be there, but when his office door sprang open I knew I had to do this.
“Hi, Will. I’m calling it a night but before going home I wanted to see what paperwork I need to sign.”
I tried to make it clear that I wasn’t planning on staying long with him, in private.
“Come in, Violet. Let’s talk about business, first,” he said winking at me. He was really good-looking and young for someone who owns a club like this. It was one of the best. If only he didn’t make me feel uncomfortable, we would get along so well.
He stood up from his chair and motioned for me to take a seat in front of the desk.
“Let me explain to you a few things about this club, love,” he said and walked around his desk. His office was masculine but soulless at the same time. There wasn’t any personal thing in his office. Nor a picture or hobby object. Everything was wooden and brown. He sat before me on the coffee table.
“This club is very special. I’ve done everything in my power to make it the best and I’ll keep doing that,” he said in an arrogant way.
“Yeah. It’s so good here,” I murmured nervously.
“This club has strict order about employees and customers. Our customers are all our members. It’s not a usual club where anyone can walk in. To be here, they have to be members or must have come as a guest of a member or must come here with special permission. So you have to respect everyone. Especially VIPs. Everyone is special and has good connections here, but VIPs are everything to this club. Understood?” he said and continued after I answered with a nod.
“Your schedule will be flexible. This year I’m planning new things. On Thursdays and Fridays, more dancers will be here. Also, special shows will happen on this stage so you’ll be either free at those hours or you’ll help the waitresses. And you will do only one show on those nights. Other details are in the files. Any questions?” he said in a very business-like tone.
I looked at the files Will placed in front of me.
“No, I don’t have any questions.”
“Okay, then. You just need to sign these two files. I’m not so strict about paperworks but I want to be sure no one will damage my club,” he said as I read the files.
One was about my job requirements, what I should do and shouldn’t. How many hours I’ll work and all the details. The other one was about “if I quit the job” policy. It was more like a non-disclosure agreement. If I quit the job or was fired, I mustn’t talk about the dynamics in the club or about customers or anything else. I must never give the names to anyone.
This was strange…like there was something illegal in the club. I frowned but I knew I didn’t have any other choice but to sign it.
Okay…I signed the files and gave them back to Will.
“Anything else?” I asked.
“Yes, I need to give you your ID back. I copied it and added it to your file,” he said while handing my fake ID to me.
“Is there any problem?” I asked before I could stop myself.
“No. Nothing,” he said and I sighed in relief inwardly.
My ID was all fake, with a fake name and fake information. According to my ID, I was Violet Garcia from Florida.
I had some connections with the right people. One of my friends was working in the police department. When I told him I needed a fake ID and gave him a blowjob he was more than ready to do whatever I wanted. He didn’t know why I really needed this ID—all he knew about was my being a journalist and I convinced him it was for my safety so he didn’t give it much thought.
“Great. Now, I want to go home. See you tomorrow night,” I said and walked back to the door. But he was faster than me. The moment I reached the door he was just behind me and put his hands on the door. He caged me with his arms. I slowly exhaled to keep calm.
“Will. What are you doing?” I asked calmly. I didn’t want him to think I was scared.
“How about I take you to my home instead of you going to yours alone?” he asked seductively in my hair. I could feel his breath on my neck.
“It’s so bad for a beautiful woman like you to sleep alone at nights,” he continued. I forced myself to laugh.
“Will. Thank you for the offer but I’m really not interested,” It took so much will to not snap at him.
“You sure? I could convince you,” he said and came closer to me.
“I’m sure you can be very persuasive, but I’m positive,” I said, already irritated by his confidence.
“Too bad. You’re eye-catching, Violet. And trust me, it may be a dangerous thing,” he said to my ear. I couldn’t make any sense of what he meant but the way he said it sent chills down my spine.
“What does that mean?”
“Nothing. Nothing you can stop,” he whispered and let his hands fall from the
door.
“Okay, Violet. But if you change your mind, let me know. You don’t want to waste this chance, love. Being with me might be the only thing that could protect you,” he said to me seriously and walked away to his desk.
“Protect me from what, Will?” I turned my head to make eye contact with him.
“From the world, Violet. Goodnight,” he said with a sinister look but sad smile. Even his facial expressions didn’t make any sense to me.
“Goodnight, Will,” I said and got out of the office.
I was glad he didn’t force himself on me. If he tried to do that I’d put my Krav Maga lessons in use but that would cause a big trouble for my plan. It was too early for me to be kicked out of the club. I was relieved it ended up easy. But I couldn’t make sense of his words.
What did he mean?
Before changing my clothes I walked to the back exit of the club to get some fresh air. The cold air felt refreshing and good on my body after the tension of the club.
Standing there, I thought of Angel…
Had she ever stood here and thought about her life?
Had she ever felt like she was in danger?
A shiver ran through my spine, paranoia shadowed my senses as if I was being watched. I was feeling this way since yesterday, my first night here. I knew it was just the anxiety of the possibilities that caused paranoia but I couldn’t help thinking that I might be getting closer to my goal, that someone noticed me as they did Angel, that they could be here tonight. But when I looked around me I couldn’t see anyone. Only darkness...
The light above the back door was useless, vibrating with dim light. It fueled the anxiety in my mind. Even cold air wasn’t helping anymore, it didn’t numb my mind enough to stop paranoia. I exhaled and watched the white air of my breath disappeared in front of me.
The moment I turned my back to go inside I saw Channing and was startled.
Was he there all the time?
“Channing! You scared me,” I said, put my hand on my heart.
He blew out the smoke of his cigarette before answering me.
