Third Love (Heaven Sent Book 3)

“Yeah?” She rubbed her eyes and forehead.
“We have a new name.”
She sat upright. Andrew appeared in the doorframe. The light cast a glow around his naked body, and if he’d had white wings behind him, he’d look exactly like an angel from the books.
He clenched his fist and lifted his arm. “The name sounds familiar. I think I’ve heard it before.”
She crawled out of bed and approached him. From a distance in the dark, she couldn’t make out the writing inked on him. He stepped back into the bathroom as she neared him. The bright light blinded her at first, but her eyes adjusted. He held his arm toward her.
“Annabelle Butler,” she said, then met his gaze. “You’re right, the name sounds very familiar.”
“Is she someone important? Someone famous maybe?”
She sighed heavily. “I’ll do some research while you’re at work. I hope she’s not a public figure because they are too damn difficult to kill.”
“Look at the bright side, we get to travel to the west coast.” He cupped her face before he kissed her.
Desire resurfaced quickly and spread through her. “Keep this up and I’ll make you late for work.”
He took her hand and tugged it as he stepped back toward the bathtub. “Make me late.”
One glance at his groin and she found clear evidence of his longing. How could she turn down such a stunning man who vowed to love her?
With a wide grin on her face, she said, “My pleasure.”
