by Carola Lovering

Stevie Nicks, thank you for creating music that has been such an inspiration for this book, and myself. Thank you to my loves at CorePower Yoga, near and far—our community will always feel like home. Thank you to my professors at Taft and Colorado College for teaching me how to write—especially Jennifer Zaccara, Steven Le, and Lisa Hughes.

Philip and Alexandra Walsh—you were both beautiful writers, and I will never stop being inspired by your talent, courage, and grace. To my uncle Philip, an extraordinary writer, thank you for your soulful wisdom and encouragement. To VSL and JSL, thank you for your unconditional love—I carry it in my heart. To Rob—for being my sounding board and my love, thank you. I’m the luckiest to have you by my side. Last: Mom, Dad, Charlie, Ellie, B, and R—thank you, thank you, thank you. I love you to infinity. I could never find the words to explain what you mean to me, and I won’t even try.
