I could barely catch my breath as pleasure shot through every part of my body. His hips thrust faster until he took one last deep plunge and grasped on to my body, groaning as he let go inside of me. I could feel the vibrations of his cock as he came, ending my orgasm with even more pleasure.
Jason’s body shook softly over top of me, and I laid there catching my breath as he came down from the high. He leaned down and kissed me strongly on the lips and plopped to the side, looking up at the ceiling. I turned toward him and watched his face as he took in exactly what just happened. He turned his head and looked at me, a small smile curling at the edge of his mouth.
He reached his hand down and took mine, an unusual gesture for a man like Jason. I smiled and laid my head down on the pillow being more than a little exhausted. I watched as he turned over toward me and wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me close and kissing my forehead.
There was definitely something different about Jason like Megan had said, but I couldn’t quite put my finger on it. We had done this several times but this time, this time was different. I took in a deep breath and shook the thoughts from my mind, understanding tomorrow may be a different story. Instead, I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep, only thinking that it sure was a good thing I wore my red lace panties.
Chapter 7
Jason
Hey, can you get here an hour early? I could really use your help setting some of this stuff up.
I looked down at my phone as I sipped my coffee. It was Ryan, and he seemed to be a bit stressed out. I guess being surrounded by your family, your nervous bride to be, and about a gazillion rich people was a bit nerve racking, even for Ryan. I chuckled thinking that Ryan was assuming I was still in bed. I tapped the reply button and sent him a message back.
No problem. I’ll go ahead and get ready and be over.
You, sir, are a life saver. Ryan texted back so fast Jason knew he was staring down at his phone.
I’ll add that to my resume. I’ll see you soon.
I flipped through the rest of my text’s hoping I had missed something from Jana, but there was nothing. After Wednesday night’s amazing sex, I hadn’t heard very much from her. I sent a few messages, and she replied back but the conversation kind of died out. I knew I would get to see her today so I wasn’t panicking just yet. She had mentioned she was crazy busy at work which might sound like an excuse, but I knew what her job entailed so I took it at face value.
When my coffee was done, I hopped in the shower and picked out my clothes for the event. Though I knew Ryan was going to be in a full suit, I didn’t really feel like going to that extent, so I threw on my dress pants, a nice button up, and my dress shoes and rolled out of the house. I looked into the mirror in my car and smiled as I had perfected my dark brown coiffed look and tipped the scales with my very stylish sunglasses. There was something about the other night that seemed to give me my self-confidence back, and I knew I had Jana to thank for that.
When I pulled up to the huge mansion, I handed my keys to the valet they had hired and stood, looking at the grandeur in front of me. These people were richer than God, and though I wasn’t too shabby in the bank account department, this was definitely not something in my price range. As I turned to start walking toward the gardens in the back the reflection of something blinded me for a minute. When my eyes adjusted, I realized it was Jana, leaning against her car, trying to get her heels on. Her bracelet was glimmering in the sunlight, and she looked put out, apparently responsible for carrying about six large bags of decorations.
I chuckled to myself and walked over to lend my assistance. She put her foot down and looked up at me smiling and sighing at the same time. I stood there grinning as she straightened her tight black dress and hobbled on her heels.
“Can I help you with this?” I reached for a couple of the bags as they started to topple from the trunk of the car.
“Yes, please,” she said breathlessly. “This Maid of Honor gig is harder than I thought.”
“Well, you look stunning,” I said, leaning over and kissing her on the cheek. She stopped and smiled, surprised by my show of affection. “Shall we?”
I grabbed four of the six bags and followed after her as we made our way to the gate. I rushed forward and opened the large metal door and held it for her while she walked through, struggling as the heel of her shoes sunk in the grass. As I walked through, I looked up and found everyone staring at us for a moment before turning back to what they were doing. It hadn’t even dawned on me that everyone would think we were coming into the event together, but in all honesty, it didn’t bother me. I glanced over at Jana whose cheeks were blushed in embarrassment, and I smiled to myself.
Ryan and Megan rushed over to us, taking the bags from our hands and giving us a happy greeting. Megan hugged us both and Ryan shook my hand and turned to his bride-to-be. She looked absolutely ecstatic, and I could see her struggling with her words.
“We are so excited for you two,” she said happily. “It’s so good to see you together. I knew it would work out in the end.”
“Oh, I, uh…” Jana stumbled with her words looking to me for guidance. I stepped forward and put my hand on her lower back.
“Thanks, Megan. That’s really kind of you to say,” I replied. Jana looked at me, her eyes twinkling and shyly grinned before turning back to Megan.
The two girls ran off with the bags, ready to get to work finishing up the décor for the engagement party. Ryan’s mom had insisted on hiring a decorator, but Megan wouldn’t have it. She thought it was nice enough they were throwing a huge engagement party, the least she could do was decorate the event. Megan had gone from hard ass to someone that found she was pretty good at decorating and planning.
Ryan looked at me and raised his eyebrows as the girls ran off. We marched over to the stacks of folding chairs lining the edge of the garden and started taking them down and setting them at the tables. He didn’t ask me anything even though I knew he was dying to find out what was up. I figured until I knew the answer to that question I would keep it to myself.
After about an hour not only did we have all 180 chairs set up but we were about done helping the girls put the fabric chair covers on them. We stood back and looked at our handiwork, dusting our hands off into the grass. I was impressed that I managed to get all of that done and not completely ruin my clothes. Ryan handed me a cold beer, and we walked over to the large fountain to wait for the girls to get back. Megan had to get ready, and the guests would be arriving at any moment. Ryan’s mom sauntered out into the setting, moving several of the flowers around in the arrangements she had created.
“Well boys, this looks just lovely,” she said clapping her hands together.
“Don’t give us credit, Megan was the mastermind,” Ryan said looking up at the clear skies.
“We were just the moving company,” I added.
“Oh, Jason. Where are my manners?” Ryan’s mom walked over and gave me a tight hug. “You look wonderful as always.”
“Thank you, and you look as youthful as always,” I said smiling.
“You’re a liar…but I like it,” she said laughing and looking over at the gate as people began walking through. “Oh, guests are arriving. You two relax, this is my forte.”
“Well, I guess I ought to go get Megan,” Ryan said standing and walking toward the house. “You and Jana are with us at the head table.”
“Cool,” I yelled back as Jana caught my eye.
I walked over to where she was sitting, curious of why she was all alone. I sat down next to her, and she looked up at me, forcing a smile. I felt awkward, but I wasn’t about to let the rest of this evening go like this.
“What’s going on?”
“Nothing,” she said still faking a smile.
“Right. That’s about as truthful as me saying I adored the weird peach mauve color scheme Megan picked out,” I said lifting one eyebrow. “Spill it.”
“I was just thinking about
the future, my future,” she said looking out at the garden. “One day I’d like to have this, you know?”
“A giant mansion with way too much grass to cut?” My sarcasm didn’t seem to go over well as she slapped me in the stomach.
“No, I mean a good relationship with so much happiness and love,” she sighed.
“Oh, yeah. I feel the same way,” I said following her gaze to the rows of bushes in the background.
“Yeah right,” she scoffed. “You? The player of all players?”
“I’m serious, Jana. I’m tired of that life, and after I got myself out of it and could think straight, I realized I didn’t want to keep messing around with random girls. I want a relationship,” I admitted shyly.
“Really?” Jana turned her head and looked at me suspiciously. “Well, do you have anyone in mind?”
“Actually, I do,” I said triumphantly.
“Ohhh, you have it all figured out, huh? Who is this lucky girl?”
“You,” I said reaching down and taking her hand. “If you’ll have me.”
Her smile and blushed cheeks said everything. I didn’t want to miss this chance, so I leaned in and gently pressed my lips against hers. It was comforting and kind, and I felt relief as she leaned back into me. When our lips parted, she looked at me smiling.
“Hey you two lovebirds,” Ryan called across the garden. “Come drink some of this champagne!”
“After you,” I said looking at Jana. She smiled and took my hand.
Chapter 8
Jana
I shook my head as I climbed into the cab, thinking about what happened the night before at the engagement party. It was almost like a dream at this point, and I didn’t see it coming. Jason had pretty much asked me to be in a relationship with him, and though we didn’t speak the words, we dove head first into acting like a couple. It just came so naturally to both of us. Though I trusted everything he said, I couldn’t help but be just a bit apprehensive after his whole adult life was spent in an anti-relationship mindset. But still, even through the weariness, it was just mind blowing I was now in a relationship with Jason.
The cab pulled up in front of the bridal store where I was meeting Megan. She poked her head out of the door and waved feverishly at me. We were here to find the wedding dress of her dreams, and I can’t even explain how freakin’ excited she was. When I walked in, I gazed over at the entire rack of dresses being pulled to the front. This boutique was by appointment only so she had the whole shop to herself. Apparently, Ryan paid for the whole day so she wouldn’t have to rush and we could look at bridesmaid dresses as well. Originally all the bridesmaids were going to come, but after some thought, Megan decided she just wanted to have her and me. She felt like seven women in the same shop would get crazy.
I put my bag down and smiled as the sales woman handed me a glass of champagne with strawberries in the bottom. I guess it was never too early to start celebrating in the bridal world. Megan was standing on the small stage surrounded by mirrors, swishing the bottom of her dress back and forth in front of the mirror. The dress was hideous, like something from the early 90’s with giant puffy sleeves, a huge skirt that took up the entire floor of the platform, and worst of all, a bow right above her ass.
“What do you think?” She posed like a beauty Queen and pouted her lips.
“Um, no,” I said scrunching my nose.
“What? It looks like Princess Diana,” she said laughing.
“And we are going to let her keep it,” I replied.
She laughed and pulled the front of it off, stepping out of the skirt. The thing was so huge that the skirt stayed standing on its own. She walked down the platform and stood beside me as the woman scurried around collecting gowns and bringing her the next dress. This one was much simpler, and Megan stood there while they slipped it over her head and pulled and tugged at the seams.
“So I had a good conversation with Jason at the party last night,” I said, trying not to show my excitement. “I guess he is as calm as you said he was. He asked me to be in a relationship with him.”
“He did?” Megan squealed and pulled away from the woman, running down to give me a hug. “That is such great news. I am so happy for you two.”
“I’m pretty excited about it,” I said chuckling as she climbed back up the stairs.
“Are you guys going to go public with it right away? You know he has a following in New York since he is rich, handsome, and WAS single,” Megan stated, shaking her head no after looking at the long silk dress. “You should probably be strategic about how you handle this. I know the politics of it really takes a toll on the romance but trust me, you’ll be happy you did.”
“We haven’t really had a chance to go over all that yet,” I said realizing what a big deal it was. “I just want to have some time to enjoy each other, you know?”
“I know,” Megan said with a sigh as she pulled off another dress. “And you will, I promise. I mean just by what I have seen so far, Jason has really changed for the better. I actually started to consider him a good friend after he started to calm down. It’s been an amazing transformation, and it was all because of you.”
“He seems different, but the same sweet Jason that drew me into him in the first place,” I said watching as Megan pulled another dress over her head. “And the sex, well, yeah that hasn’t changed a bit.”
“So I guess the pile of pussy comment is now thrown out of the window?” The ladies helping Megan get dressed tried to hide their giggles. We really had very little space for private conversations.
“I guess so,” I said laughing.
I pulled my phone from my pocket and clicked the screen. Jason had texted me.
Go with the big puffy sleeves and the ruffles. It’s timeless.
I laughed to myself picturing an 80’s themed peach colored bridesmaid dress. Jason knew we were doing the girly stuff today while the men got fitted for their tuxes. We were supposed to call the shop when we knew the color of the different dresses so they could match their vests to the girls’ dresses.
“Was that the lover boy?” Megan stood up on the stand sipping her champagne as the saleswoman cleared another dress away.
“That it was,” I said beaming. “He says go with the 80’s theme.”
“Uh, not even over my dead body,” Megan laughed, handing her glass to the lady and stepping into a gown.
Megan’s dress shopping went on for three more hours until the sales women were sweating. Megan’s attentiveness had dropped fifty points, and I was laid out on the sofa reading bridal magazines. I skimmed over the million different options for bridesmaid’s dresses, and my stomach started to rumble.
“I’m starving,” I said still looking at the magazine. “We should order something.”
“Well, I think we can take a break,” she said excitedly. “I think this is it.”
I looked up from my magazine, and my mouth fell open. Megan was standing in front of the mirror looking like an absolute princess. The dress was strapless, and the top was covered in small sequins, almost making it look like she was wearing nothing more than a layer of glitter. The skirt was billowing layers upon layers of tulle, accented throughout with the same shimmering sequins that sparkled in the show room lights.
“It may be a little risqué with all this cleavage, but I just am in love,” she said turning to me for reassurance.
“Megan,” I replied, speechless. “I just don’t know what to say. That dress was made for you. You look amazing.”
“And look,” she said showing me the train. “It can be dipped in my colors, so the train has a hombre effect.”
“That is amazing,” I replied imagining a shimmering burst of peach at the end of her dress. “That is the one!”
“Yay!” I could tell Megan was more than excited and love twinkled in her eyes as she stared at the dress in the mirror.
“Okay,” she said turning around and putting her hands up as the women took the dress carefully away. “T
ime to pick out your dress!”
“Can we please shove food in our mouths first?” My stomach was doing flips and flops it was so hungry.
“Yep,” she said looking at the front door. “There is the delivery guy now.”
We sat at the guest table to the right chowing down on an assortment of different sandwiches and salads. Ryan had sent lunch over while he and the guys grabbed food at the pub. Megan was serious about Ryan not coming anywhere near the bridal shop since she was hell bent on him not seeing her dress until the wedding. When we were done we packed it up, and I jumped up on the stage, ready to get my dress on. Megan laughed as the women pulled out another cart of dresses, making my eyes bulge. I thought one or two and done, but it looked like I was in it for the long haul.
