My One and Only: A Bad Boy Secret Baby Second Chance Romance Page 131

by Weston Parker

“Good because I want to wear you out.” He slapped my ass, and after a moment, he centered his cock at my entrance, then he pushed inside of me, fucking my pussy with hard, deliberate thrusts. It felt so good, and I loved the pressure against my ass as his thumb slowly pushed into my tight star.

One day, he’d have all of me, and I couldn’t wait to share everything with him. From each waking hour to every inch of my body.

His balls slapped against my front, and he reached around and rubbed my clit with his thick, strong fingers. His other hand held the back of my neck, and he twisted his hands up into my hair and pulled me back, my spine straining as he leaned forward to turn my head and kiss my mouth.

My orgasms came in waves, multiplying over the first and soon my thighs were wet with my juices. “Fuck. You’re so wet.” His body slapped against mine, and it was so loud, carrying our moans louder, that I wondered if our neighbors could hear below and above us.

“I’m about to come again. Look what you do to me.” I felt the tingle of pleasure build and my legs began quaking as my orgasm milked his cock.

“Fuck, yes!” he growled. Then he tensed up against me, and his cock poured inside me. “You’re amazing, baby.” He collapsed against my back, and we both stood still apart from my legs twitching, but they had a mind of their own.

He pulled away, and more of our pleasure dripped down my thighs. I went to clean up in the bathroom, and he followed. But while I showered he returned to his office. I knew what he was about to do, and I’d give him the privacy he needed to do it.

  Chapter 17

  Darek

I sat in my office going over the schedule and making sure everything was going right, as Sadie worked on another test.

She’d been working hard to finish her business courses, and I was proud of her.

I hoped that when she was ready, she could be a part of my team and I’d meant what I said about putting her ideas to use.

Letting go of Jack was like dropping a sixteen-ton load off my shoulders. If I had known how wonderful it would feel to finally cut his apron strings, I’d have done it years ago. I’d done all I could to be a friend, but he wasn’t ever going to stop taking advantage.

Putting his hands on Sadie was the biggest mistake of his life, and he’s lucky all I did was fire him. I knew for Sadie’s sake, and in building of our trust, I had to take it easy and not let my temper get the best of me. If it weren’t for that, he’d be out finding new teeth.

But I needed her to know she could tell me anything and I’d take her feelings into consideration before I reacted.

The phone rang bringing my head up, and I answered it and sat back to rub my eyes. Had I seen that name on my screen? Doug Lord was calling, and he was someone I’d wanted to have on my team for a long time.

“How’s it going, Doug? Am I dreaming?”

Laughter tickled my ears. “How are you, Darek. It’s been a long time, hasn’t it?”

“Too long. Are you in town? We should grab a drink or dinner or something.”

“Actually, I am flying into the city next week. I heard through the grapevine you let go of Jack, and I know you’re going to need to replace him.”

I leaned forward in my chair and pumped my fist, but contained the level of control in my voice. “Yes, I am going to replace him, actually. I’m thinking outside the box a bit. You know Jack handled pretty much everything, but I’m not sure I want to put my eggs all in one basket again. I’d like to form a management team. I know your strongest with the financial game anyway, and I have someone in mind for coordinating my events already.”

“Well, that would work, I don’t want to be your damned secretary anyway, my friend, no offense of course.”

“None taken. I think Jack wanted too much control over things. So, when do we meet? My schedule’s wide open. I’m sure you heard about my little accident, too.”

“I heard about that. Someone said you were attacked by some thug with a golf club?”

I laughed, loving the fact that a crazy story was going around portraying James as a thug. “Kind of. If you consider my billionaire neighbor a fucking thug.”

“Ah, you have to love the grapevines around here.”

“Yeah, I never drink the wine.”

“Let’s meet up on the fifteenth, around dinner. I’ll call back to narrow down if that’s okay?”

“Sounds wonderful. I’ll have to get you out on the golf course sometime when I’m healed.”

“It’s a deal, but leave your neighbor at home.” The guy gave a chuckle as I scribbled down the meeting on my desk calendar and circled it with a highlighter. I couldn’t miss this opportunity.

We ended the call, and I was so tempted to run and tell Sadie the good news, but I knew I couldn’t interrupt her.

Knowing I wanted to hire her as my coordinator, I decided to use the opportunity to surprise her.

Her ideas were going to take my brand to the next level, and I loved the idea of being able to sail and ski too. I was sure she’d help me think of the best ways to pull the plans off, and it was only right to hire her for the job since they’d been her ideas to start with.

I imagined us together, traveling and working side by side. We could see the world together.

I let out a cleansing breath as I realized something; I wanted to spend my life with her. I knew the first thing I had to do was solidify our relationship by making it official.

I remembered she’d never been to the Lovehouse, so that was what I needed to do, make reservations. Even being a celebrity of sorts, getting a good table was going to be tough. But then, I had an idea.

I hurried upstairs to see Maya and James. I was long overdue a visit, and I had a favor to ask.

James opened the door after I rang the bell. “I told her if we fed you we’d never get rid of you.”

“It’s always good to see you too, James. Especially when you don’t have a golf club in your hand.”

He let out a chuckle and shook my hand. “Come on in. We’re watching the Food Network.”

Maya was curled up on the couch snuggled under a blanket, and James sat next to her. I took the chair beside their loveseat.

“Why do you two have this obsession with food lately?” They’d been taking classes and sending baked goods weekly, not that I was complaining.

“You know I have allergies, right? So, we just thought it would be good to learn how to prepare food at home, so I don’t go accidentally eating any strawberries.” She’d gotten one in her salad, and it had sent her to the ER.

“Besides, it’s brought us closer together.” James kissed her shoulder and put his arms around her. Who knew the guy was such a romantic? “So, what are you doing here?”

James winced as Maya gave him an elbow. “What he means is, it’s good to see you.”

“Actually, I did come to ask a favor. I want to take Sadie out to dinner to celebrate our new relationship and business agreement, but I want a good table; the best in the house, actually.” I hoped he’d get the hint.

“What do you know, I happen to have standing reservations at the Lovehouse. You’re welcome to use my table. I’ll call and make sure they know; you just let me know when.”

“Your new relationship, huh?” She leaned forward a bit. “Are you two getting really serious? Like wedding serious?”

“Whoa, they can’t beat us to the altar.”

“It’s okay; we’ve got another first,” she said. He gave her a kiss, and their cuteness was almost more than I could stand. I wondered if me and Sadie would be as sappy. “Can I tell him?” Maya seemed a bit eager to share her news.

James kissed her again. “Sure. Everyone will know sooner or later.”

She hopped up and ran to the bedroom as I exchanged a look with James who gave me a cocky grin. She came out and handed me something.

“A positive pregnancy test. Holy shit, you’re expecting!” I pulled her in for a hug and then gave James a high five. “Great work, ma
n. That was fast.”

“It was unexpected, really, but we’re happy. We’re foregoing a huge wedding and are thinking about a Vegas ceremony.”

“You and Sadie should come!” Maya bounced up and down as I handed her the pee stick.

“Sounds fun, let me know when, but you know, she’s going to be pissed I found out first.” I would tell her the good news over dinner too unless Maya got to her sooner.

“I’ll call you when I figure out a date and time, but it will be in the next couple of days. I can’t wait to tell her. And also, I fired Jack.”

“Good, that asshole deserved it,” said James, cracking his knuckles.

“Yeah, things will be better now. Sounds like things will be better for all of us. And I want first dibs on godfather.”

“You’re out of your mind!” James laughed so hard he doubled over.

“I think that would be a wonderful idea.” Maya elbowed James and shook his head.

  “You owe me one, man.”

“I’ll make you a deal. If you and Sadie get married, I’ll consider it. She’s a good girl, and you better hold onto her. Not many people can bear your fucking ego.” He covered his mouth, and Maya held out her hand.

“That’s one for the swear jar.” She gave him a scolding look.

“Swear jar?” I hoped I hadn’t used any vulgar language, but couldn’t remember.

James sighed. “Yeah, she thinks I let too many F-bombs slip here around the house.”

“When the baby is here, you’re not going to be able to use that kind of language. I figured he needed the incentive to quit, and so every time he curses the baby gets a dollar for the piggy bank.”

  “A whole dollar? Wow.”

“Yeah, the kid’s got a hundred dollars already, no shittin’.” He winced realizing what he’d said. “Fuck. Ugh, dammit.” He covered his mouth as Maya and I laughed.

“At this rate, it will have a cool million by his birthday.” As Maya threw her head back with laughter, I knew she was going to be an amazing mother. It was good to see my friends happy. Even James.

  Chapter 18

  Sadie

I walked around the house gathering the laundry and tidying up. Trash day was approaching, and I liked to have things in tip-top shape on that day. By the time I got to the bathroom to empty the small wastepaper basket, Darek was standing in the doorway holding it.

  “What are you doing?”

“Helping.” He gave a shrug. “I’m feeling much better, so I thought I’d get up and move around a bit for a change.”

“It’s my job, though. If you start cleaning up after yourself, I’m going to be out of a job.”

“I doubt that. I am always going to need you.”

“Yeah?” I searched his eyes, and he pulled me in for a quick kiss.

  “Yes.”

“I meant to ask, did you have a good chat with James and Maya?” I’d been upset to miss the visit, but I was glad to get my last weekly test over with. One more final, and I would be done.

“Yes.” He got a strange grin on his face.

“What? You look like the cat that ate the canary.”

“Well, they told me something. I’m sure Maya would want to tell you, though.” He shrugged it off, but my mind went crazy with guesses.

“They moved the date up?” I followed him down the hall, and he shook his head.

“No. The dates the same as far as I know.”

“They are moving away?” I really hoped she’d not go anywhere. It was nice to have a friend and even though we hadn’t gotten terribly close, I knew our friendship would grow.

“Nope, they’re staying put as far as I know.” He wasn’t budging to give anything away.

I was about to give up when he took me into his arms from behind and patted my tummy. “I’d like to have similar news someday. With you.” He kissed my neck.

  “She’s having a baby?”

“Yes, she let me hold her pee stick. It was definitely positive.” I was so excited to figure it out that I hadn’t registered what he’d said until a moment later when his hand moved against my tummy again.

“Wait. Do you want to have a baby someday? With me?” I narrowed my eyes and felt of his forehead.

“Yeah, I mean. I do think we’d make great parents, but it’s not like I want it anytime soon. Not even in the next few years. But you know, someday.” He did a fair amount of backpedaling, so I blew it off.

“Right. Someday.” I went about my cleaning, and he followed me around the house, helping out a little, but mostly watching me to see what I was doing next.

“Well, what do you think about it?” He seemed eager.

“It’s wonderful news. I’m so happy for them.” I wasn’t sure what else he wanted me to say, but he rolled his eyes.

“Not about that. I mean, you know. Do you want children someday?” I wished he would have asked if I wanted his children because I’d have given him a quicker response and thrown out all of our condoms. But since what we had, wasn’t defined or declared, my answer had to be different.

“I’d like to have a relationship first, I suppose. I mean, it might help.” I gave him a sassy look.

He pulled me close and spun me to face him. “I want a relationship with you if you haven’t noticed. That’s what this is, right?”

“I guess. I mean, however undefined.” I threw him a look over my shoulder, and he crossed his arms for a moment. Being honest, it was more like a fling with my boss, but I didn’t want to hurt his feelings or make him think that’s all it meant to me because I had certainly fallen for him. No going back.

“Oh, so you want to slap a label on it, huh? Well, how about I take you out to dinner tomorrow night, and we talk about what kind of labels we have to choose from?” He gave me a pat on the ass as his phone rang. He went to the room to take it.

I got out the furniture polish and dusted the living area, then I went room by room, leaving him his privacy in his bedroom, while I dusted mine.

I didn’t mind having my own space, but really wanted to share a room with him, instead of having a separate room. I had been sleeping with him and moved my things into his bathroom, but it still didn’t feel official.

I wanted everyone to know about us, not just a few. I wondered what his fans would think of him having a girlfriend or a fiancée. I wondered if I’d have to compete with all of his admirers when we were out on the road and beat them off with a stick. That idea was a bit tempting, too.

I still felt like just his employee at times. I know it wouldn’t be much different. If I was his girlfriend, his fiancée, his wife, I’d still have to clean the house and fold his laundry. Only I wouldn’t get paid to do it. Maybe I was better off? No way.

I wasn’t sure what would happen to my job once things were official. If he’d still want me on his team, or to explore my ideas. He’d seemed interested, and like he really wanted to make them come to fruition.

There was nothing more exciting than seeing my ideas put to use.

I went into his office and dusted his bookcases, and by the time I made my way around the room, I heard the shower cut on in the next room.

He must have finally decided to get dressed in case we wanted to go to lunch or perhaps he had a meeting with someone. Either way, I would try and finish up quickly. I went to dust his desk, and the yellow highlighted circle stuck out and caught my eye.

I leaned over and read the name, Doug Lord, and beneath it a small note which I mumbled to myself, “Meeting for Manager’s spot.” He hadn’t told me about a meeting. Sure, he didn’t have to check in with me to go and do anything, but I had thought if there was something like this about to happen, he’d have at least let me know.

A quick look around and I noticed other things too.

Sticking out from under the edge of the calendar, as if to be hidden, was a printout of ski lodges and their pricing. I opened his top drawer and found he’d also done some research on cruise ships.

  My hear
t was about to beat out of my chest as I quickly ran to my room and threw a few things in a bag. He was going to hire someone else and use my ideas. I didn’t want to be his housekeeper forever, and even if I was his girlfriend, I wanted a job to support myself as long as I could. He’d said we’d explore those ideas together, but he’d gone behind my back and searched them out without saying a word. There were stacks of papers, yet he’d said nothing. Instead, he’d tucked them away so I couldn’t see them.

I wasn’t going to sit by while he stole my ideas and gave someone else the job I deserved.

I was out of the house before his shower was done, and I grabbed the first cab back to my mother’s house.

I cried on the way. He’d done just what I’d asked him not to do; he’d broken my heart. I couldn’t believe I was back at this place in my life; letting a man get to me like this. But it wasn’t just any man. It was Darek. He was something special, someone special, and millions knew it. Maybe I was better off.

As I rode across the city, with my stomach in knots, I knew that wasn’t true. I’d never be okay again. I’d never trust anyone enough to give away my heart, or at least what I had left of it.

  Chapter 19

  Darek

I had jumped in the shower to freshen up for the day and was so excited about my date with Sadie the following night. I went over my to-do list and thought I’d go ahead and call James when I got dressed and tell him the date and time so he could make our arrangements.

I had so much to tell Sadie; all about the plans I’d been looking into and how I think it could work. I wanted her feedback of course, and I couldn’t wait to ask her to be my new coordination assistant, and more importantly, my girlfriend. I wanted her to stay at the house with me, of course, and I knew she wouldn’t have a problem because she didn’t want to live with her mother anyway.

Everything was going to be perfect. In five years I could see her big and pregnant with our baby, and we’d be snuggling on the couch and kissing like the sappy couple upstairs.
