My One and Only: A Bad Boy Secret Baby Second Chance Romance Page 132

by Weston Parker

I rinsed and turned the water off and then stepped out to grab a towel. I dried off, then secured it around my waist and headed out to find Sadie and see what she wanted for dinner.

The house was strangely quiet. “Sadie?” I went to the kitchen to find her and thought maybe she’d stepped out to throw away the garbage, but that’s when I found the trash bags were still on the floor waiting to be carried out.

“Sadie, where are you?” She must have been in the office at the far end, and maybe she couldn’t hear me. I went down to find it empty too. Her cleaning rag was left with the furniture polish, and as I went to pick it up, the yellow highlighted circle on my desk caught my attention. I noticed the drawer was opened a crack, and the papers I’d put beneath the calendar to keep the air vent from blowing off of my desk was now laying on top of it.

“Sadie?” I hurried out to find her, hoping she wasn’t upset about the note on my desk or that I hadn’t told her anything. I’d wanted it to be a surprise, but now I think I’d messed up really bad.

I ran to the lobby to make sure she wasn’t there; then I hurried to the laundry room, which was empty too. I grabbed my phone and dialed her.

As the phone rang, I listened carefully to see if it was still in the house. If it wasn’t. She would be gone too. She didn’t answer. I decided to leave her a text, but not knowing why she left, I felt silly for panicking. “Baby, where are you?” I said into the speaker. I checked to make sure it took my message and hit send.

Nothing came back. I dressed and sat there for an hour waiting to see if she’d return. If she’d gone downstairs or to the fiftieth floor. I even called Maya who hadn’t seen her but hoped everything was alright. I lied and said it was, but I knew better. She was gone.

There was only one place she could go. I picked up the phone and dialed it again, and when she didn’t answer, I called for a car. I didn’t feel like driving, and so I spent the entire ride over trying to get her to answer her phone.

When my driver arrived at Sadie’s mother’s house, I took a deep breath and told him to wait.

Dahlia Simpson, who I had hoped would one day be family, met me at the door with a worried expression. “She’s in her room. I can’t get her to come out or to talk to me. But I know she’s sore at you.”

“I have a feeling there’s been some misunderstanding. I hope she’ll let me clear it up.”

“I hope so too. But if she asks you to leave, I’m afraid I’ll have to respect her wishes and ask you to go as well.” Her mother gave me a pat on the shoulder. “Good luck, and a word of advice; if you know what’s bothering her, it’s best to start with ‘I’m sorry.’”

Those were words of experience, I was certain, so I walked back to her bedroom and knocked on the door which still had her nameplate with puffy flower stickers.

  “Sadie, it’s me.”

“What do you want, Darek.” Her tone was sharp, so I remembered her mother’s advice.

  “Whatever I did, I’m sorry.”

“Yeah, nice try. If you don’t know, then you can’t be sorry, and there’s nothing left to say.”

Still not a request for me to leave. I let out a long breath and chose my words carefully. “I think you saw my surprise, and I think you have the wrong idea. I want to talk to you face to face, Sadie.” The door opened, and she walked over and stared out the window.

“Thanks. Look, I found your rag in my office and noticed you’d seen a few things. I was planning to talk to you about things on our date.”

“What kind of things?” She brought her hand up, and I wasn’t sure, but it seemed she was wiping her eyes. Knowing she was so upset, I felt horrible, but she’d jumped to conclusions so what could I do but set it right.

“Well, for one, I want us to be together. I know I told you I wanted to explore your ideas—

“Which you explored all on your own.” Her voice cracked, and I knew she was really crying.

“Because I wanted to see which ones you liked best while we were on the date. I was going to ask you to work with me, Sadie. I need a managing assistant to coordinate all of my shows and to brainstorm with me.”

“What about Doug Lord. I see you have a meeting with him next week. You circled it on your calendar.”

“Because I am meeting with him next week and I can’t forget the appointment. I need him for a financial manager. With Jack, I had everything lumped together, and I’d trusted it all to one man, this time, I’d like to give the burden of the finances to one person, and let you focus on the rest of it. I thought you’d be happy.”

She turned and wiped her eyes. “I thought you were hiring him and going to use my ideas.”

“No way. I wouldn’t do that to someone I love. And I love you, Sadie. You’ve been amazing the past month. I didn’t think I’d ever find you, and I’m not letting you go. I understand why you got upset, but I wish you had a little more faith in me.” I couldn’t believe she’d think I’d steal her ideas, but she was too emotional, and I didn’t want to drag things out any longer.

“Wait, you said you loved me?” She crossed the room and stopped in front of me.

“Yeah. I do.” I pulled her into my arms and kissed her deeply as she melted against me, still sniffling from her tears. “No more running away, Sadie. You’re going to have to trust me with your heart. I promise I’m not going to break it. I was serious when I asked about babies earlier. I think about us doing it all together; events, ideas, babies. I want to build a home and a life with you. So, the job is yours if you want it, but there’s just one thing; I’m not going home without you.”

We fell into a kiss that ignited our passion, and she said goodbye to her mother as we raced to the car.

Once inside, she hurried to undress me, her nimble fingers undoing each button from my shirt.

I wasted no time going for her too, and by the time we left her neighborhood, I was buried deep inside of her as she bounced in my lap. I was sure the driver heard us, but it only made it even hotter. I wanted her moaning as loud as me, and I didn’t care if the world knew she was mine and how she made me feel.

Our flesh felt wonderful together, and I vowed then not to have her any other way. “Are you on the pill?”

She nodded. “Yes.” She trembled against me as her release consumed her, and what we had was so fucking hot, it didn’t take me long to fall over the edge with her. I buried myself deep and kissed her mouth as I filled her up.

“I love you, baby. I can’t wait to get you upstairs to our house.”

“Our house?” She gave me a sideward look as she stilled on my spent cock.

“You’re living there too, aren’t you? I want you to. I want you in my room, and in my bed. Our room; our bed.” I pulled away and looked into her eyes. “I’m not done with you yet, you know.”

She wiped her eyes and lifted her chin defiantly. “Who said I’m done with you?”

  Epilogue

  Sadie

It had been a wonderful eight months as Darek Dillon’s girlfriend and managing assistant, and with his money, we’d been able to work fast on getting things lined out for the new events. We had decided to start with cruise ships and had developed an all-inclusive package, including the ship’s spa. Darek would give his speeches, and there would be plenty of occasions to do meet and greets on a more personal level.

We had boarded the ship and set sail after a huge send-off, and when I’d finally gotten a moment, I retired to my room to freshen up and get ready for the first night’s dinner, where Darek would dine with his guests for the first time.

“There you are,” said Darek as I made my way out into the hall. His tie was undone, and he only had a few buttons done on his shirt. “I only had time to change in the office. We’re going to have to do something about that turnaround.”

“You have to learn to say no, is all and then you’d have had plenty of time to shower and change. You know you still have time. You are the special guest, so you can afford to be fashionably lat
e.”

“I guess I could take ten minutes; it’s not like they can go home being in the middle of the ocean and all.”

“Right, talk about your captive audiences.” I gave him a kiss, but he took my hand and led me into the room in front of the mirror to do his shirt.

  “You’re not showering?”

“No, I really don’t have time. Do I stink?” He leaned in, and I shook my head.

“Not a day in your life. You’re sexy when you need a shave. Besides, I know a few of those women out there want to see the rugged you.” I had seen them all gawking at my man and the ones who obviously knew who I was, had shot me daggers.

“Yeah, I’m sure you’re going to have a few of those, it’s a curse.” She lifted his shoulders and then his chin as he straightened his tie. “I’m all set.”

“Great. Maybe no one has chained themselves to my seat just to be beside you.” We walked out into the elevator and pressed the button for the dining lounge.

“I don’t know; there was one really smoking old lady out there. But I think she might be a tad too old. I bet she has a hot younger daughter.” I smacked his arm, and he laughed as the door opened and the crowd applauded.

The piano player announced us and Darek showed me to my chair. As he pulled it out, I looked over to the place on the other side of him and saw my mother, her eyes sparkling as she wore a big grin.

“Mom?” I leaned across the table and took her hand.

“Darek made good on his promise, honey. He’s a good man.” He’d promised to bring her on a cruise if we ever organized one, and as she said, he was a man of his word.

Darek sat between us. “And now I have my two favorite women beside me; I’m a happy man.”

Dinner was served and then sometime after, Darek made a small speech to his friends about our maiden voyage and how pleased he was that they’d joined us. After, everyone clapped, but he tapped his glass again.

“Being this is a special occasion, and since I want to make this the most memorable day ever, I wanted to do something. First, I’d like to officially introduce you to my girlfriend and the woman who made all of this possible, Sadie Simpson. Now, Sadie and I have been together for a while now, and she’s the one who nursed me back to health after my surgery.” I blushed, and everyone gave me a round of applause.

But once they died down, he continued. “Now, as many of you know, I have had a mantra all of these years. I’ve taught you to follow your heart and make your dreams a reality. Well, Sadie is my dream. I’ve believed in her since the moment we met, and now I want to live with her for the rest of my days. So, it’s here in front of all of you fine people, and her lovely mother, that I’d like to ask her something.”

I panicked as he got to his feet and reached into his pocket. He knelt down beside me and presented me with a ring. The single solitaire diamond was enormous, and all the ladies and a few of the gentleman gasped upon seeing it.

“Sadie, I love you more than I ever thought I could love anyone. You understand me, you believe in me, and you make me whole. I can’t imagine another day without you as my wife, so will you marry me? Here? Tonight?”

The crowd and even my mother cheered. I couldn’t say no, not that I’d ever want to. Tears filled my eyes as I choked out my response. “Yes.”

As everyone cheered, he hugged me close and kissed me before slipping the ring on my finger.

“How?” I searched his eyes, and he laughed.

“The Ship’s captain can marry us. If you don’t want to do it tonight, we can wait.”

“No, I want to do it now. Right now.” I fell against him and then he lifted me to my feet. I felt as if I was floating on air, and he gestured to the captain, and before I knew it, I was standing at the head of the table with my mother beside me and forty passengers witnessing our marriage.

After we said our ‘I do’s’ and then said goodbye to the crowd, and my mother, who had her eye on Captain Carter and talked his ear off all through dinner, we made our way to our room to be alone.

The full moon hung low in the sky and sparkled off the water which reflected into our room, onto our bed, and across our bodies which were intertwined. We’d undressed in record time, and fell into bed, and then he slipped down between my thighs and kissed me, sucking and licking my clit with fervor.

He stopped and breathed against me, his warm breath caressing my skin and making me quake with desire. “Mm. My wife,” he mumbled, and then he rose up and centered himself at my core.

“My husband,” I whispered, still not believing we’d actually gone through with it on the ship, in front of my mother and a group of strangers, and knowing I wouldn’t have had it any other way.

“I love hearing you say that.” He rose up and kissed my mouth, and his cock pushed against me, his head spreading my lips and pushing deeper.

His cock filled me deep, and with each stroke, he worked my g-spot until I came apart beneath him. “That’s one for my girl. One more and I’m not holding back.”

He delivered as promised and then, as the last waves of my orgasm ebbed, he drew me closer and picked me up to carry me to the shower. I loved being in his arms, and when we entered the tiled room, he turned my back to the wall. My legs stayed wrapped around him with his cock buried deep. He worked his hips, fucking me so hard my breasts slapped at his chest. He leaned down and kissed them, and I let go of his neck with one arm to draw one into his mouth. He let loose a soft moan and sucked it hard until a pinch of pleasure shot between my legs and brought forth another release.

“I want you soaked inside and out,” he whispered. “I felt that one on my balls baby, and it wasn’t the fucking shower.” He pulled me away from the wall and sat back upon a small bench and kissed me as I straddled his lap and rode him gently.

“I want you to fill me up.” I purred.

“Yes, ma’am, Mrs. Dillon.” He kissed my mouth as he gripped my ass and moments later, his cock swelled, pouring his hot nectar deep inside me.

We finished rinsing off and retired to the bed with a drink. I’d suggested taking our time with round two, and he’d agreed.

As we kissed, stroking each other tenderly as we planned our future, his phone buzzed. He looked over, and I was surprised when he picked it up off the table and smiled.

“Wow, it looks like it is a perfect night.” He turned the screen toward me, and a tiny round face of an infant stared back at me. “James says her name is Mina, and mother and daughter are both doing just fine.”

He typed something with a smile on his face, and I looked over to see what it was. “What are you telling him.”

“That she’s beautiful, and he owes me.” He wiped a single tear from his eye and looked up at me. “You know, now that James has a baby, I’m going to want a baby.”

I reached down and stroked his cock, finding it hard and ready. “Then I guess we have work to do.”

He smiled. “Good thing we’re a great team.”

  The End.

  My First Love (Preview)

  Chapter 1

  Emmett

I was all dressed up and feeling as shiny as my shoes. I looked down at them for the hundredth time, hoping I hadn’t scuffed them by shifting my feet. I couldn’t keep still. My nerves were bunched too tightly and I felt sick to my stomach.

In the next room, Autumn was dressed like springtime in a white dress that was blessed to contain her perfect body. I’d pieced all of that together from the glimpses I’d gotten every time the door opened as her mother rushed around, making sure everything was perfect.

I checked my watch and paced back and forth, knowing the time was getting closer and that there was nothing I could do to stop it.

She’d dreamt of this day since we were kids, and I’d even acted it out a time or two, never really app
reciating at seven years old what I would give my right arm for at eighteen. I’d never even told her how I felt, but finally, the window was closed on that opportunity, and not only was she about to marry my best friend, but I would be the one to give her away.

The door opened again, and Mrs. Cooke stuck her head out. “She’s ready. Now we’re just counting down the minutes.”

Autumn’s cousin, Melissa, who had the privilege of being the bride’s maid of honor, walked out bouncing on her heels and darted into the nearest ladies’ room mumbling something about her damned panty hose.

“I’m ready too.” I craned my neck and caught a glimpse of Autumn as her mother stepped out. She was the prettiest girl I’d ever known, and if I could only look at one thing for the rest of my life, I’d pick her. But fate had damned that all to hell.

“Emmett, you have been just wonderful. I know Jason wanted you to be his best man, but this is such an honor, you giving her away.” Mrs. Cooke had always been like a second mother to me.

“Anything to make her happy.” My heart withered as I forced a smile.

“I only wish her father’s work hadn’t gotten in the way, but that’s business. He’s hellbent on securing those deals, but Autumn understands. She’s just like him when it comes to those things.” Although Autumn’s mother was auburn-haired, they shared the same kind, deep-blue eyes. Looking at the woman, it was easy to tell that Autumn’s beauty would withstand the test of time.

“I’m sure it will pay off,” I said.

Her father had hardly ever been around, and it wasn’t any surprise to me that he wasn’t going to be around for his daughter’s wedding. He hadn’t been around for his own marriage, but for some reason, Mrs. Cooke stayed with him.

“I’m sure it will, and in the meantime, you’ll do a fabulous job of filling in.” She leaned on my arm, only to get closer to my ear. “You know, Emmett, I always imagined you being where Jason is today. God knows it would have made me a lot happier.”
