To Callie’s astonishment, instead of making a beeline for his mother, he carried their daughter to her aunt Ann who was standing next to Colin. As he transferred their precious child to her arms, she saw Nicco’s lips move. He was thanking her sister for bringing them together.

Callie had already thanked Ann a thousand times. She’d probably go on thanking her forever, especially since her sister was going to take care of their baby and the dogs while she and Nicco went on a short honeymoon.

Nicco finally turned to Callie and grasped her hand. After kissing the palm, he drew her in front of the priest who looked especially pleased.

“Dearly Beloved, let us begin. Do you, Callie Ann Lassiter Tescotti, take Nicco Tescotti for your cherished husband?”

She turned to Nicco. “I did the first time, darling, and do so again. I love you with all my heart and soul.” Her tremulous voice reached the furthermost regions of the chapel.

“Nicco? Do you take Callie Ann for your espoused wife to honor and adore until death do you part?”

Never taking his eyes off of Callie he answered solemnly, “Of course. She’s my life.” His voice had gone gruff with emotion.

Callie could hear a lot of sniffing behind her. Maria was still as emotional as Callie. Their little boy, Prince Alberto the Second, named after Nicco’s father, had dimples and looked just like Enzo who appeared to be the happiest of men.

This sacred moment had reduced the proud grandparents of two new Tescotti offspring to tears as well. Maria’s parents, Dr. Wood and the Donattis stood next to them beaming with pride.

“You may kiss your bride, Nicco.”

Her husband immediately cupped Callie’s face in his hands. “Are you ready for our ride?” he whispered. His black eyes gleamed with rakish excitement. When Nicco looked like that, he blinded her with his male beauty.

“I’ve been living for it,” she whispered back.

“I’m glad you said that. Frankly I can’t wait to get out of our wedding clothes.”

Callie murmured, “I was thinking the same thing.”

On that note he kissed her long and hard. When he finally allowed her to breathe he said, “Thank God you love me. I’d already named your new motorcycle The Princess Bride when I submitted the magazine article for publication.”

She frowned. “You’re kidding—aren’t you? Dare I ask your other choice?”

His face darkened with lines. “The Runaway Bride.”

“Nicco—you don’t give motorcycles such ridiculous names—”

After an elegant shrug, he burst into the kind of rich laughter she loved so much.

“Ooh, I’m going to get you for that.”

“Why do you think I said it?” He kissed the end of her well-shaped nose. “Life with you is one huge adventure. I never want it to end.”

  “Neither do I, darling.”

Their mouths fused in passion once more.

  Neither do I.
