“Yeah,” I tell him.
He turns back around and studies me for a few seconds. “You okay?”
I am definitely not okay.
Everything has just been turned upside down for me and I have no idea what’s going on or what I’m in the middle of.
But I can’t share any of that with him.
Not until I know what’s actually going on.
So I look at Dash and I smile. “Yeah. I’m okay.”
