Christmas With the Cooper Twins

“Just a couple more and we’ll have these curls right where they belong,” Doreen said. “Your hair is thicker than I thought, this up-do is taking a little longer than planned. It’s a good thing we got here early.”

“Definitely,” I replied and suppressed a yawn. “Could you get me some more coffee?” I handed my mug to Tina, she smiled and nodded. She still thought I was exhausted from my restless night, worried about the wedding. Little did she know I had spent my night being pleasured by her sons and their friends.

It made me feel exceptionally dirty and utterly empowered.

Doreen tugged at my hair again and finally stood back. She clapped her hands together and said, “Oh my god, Natasha, you look amazing!”

I stood and walked to the mirror, gasped and held my hands up to my gorgeous hair. “Doreen, you made me look like a princess!”

“Don’t touch it,” she said and rushed to my side. “Seriously, if it falls apart I’ll freaking kill you!”

“I won’t touch it,” I laughed. “I’d hate for this to go from my wedding to my funeral.”

“You know I’m kidding,” Doreen chuckled. “But I do think this is the nicest hair I’ve ever done.”

“Thank you, I don’t know what I would have done without you,” I said.

Tina popped back in and handed me a steaming mug of coffee. “Jesse made it the way you like it, I trust he knows,” she said.

  “Yes he does,” I smiled.

“They sure do treat you well,” Tina said and reached up to touch my hair gently. I shot Doreen a grin when she screwed up her face and opened her mouth to say something to Tina.

She closed it and watched us instead. “You raised a couple of really awesome guys,” I told Tina. “Thank you for that.”

“This isn’t what I ever would have imagined for them, but I’m glad they’re happy… and you’re happy,” Tina smiled.

“I know this must be hard on you and Dad, but thank you for not turning your backs on us.”

“We could never, all we have is you kids.”

The conversation drifted on to other topics so I sipped my coffee and walked back to the chair near my walk-in closet. I was waiting for Diane to bring my wedding dress. She was going to pick it up after the dress maker had altered it slightly to fit my curves perfectly.

My stomach was in knots, the ceremony was an hour away and I didn’t know how many people would be in the barn when we took the horse and sleigh from the house over there.

I didn’t know how many sets of eyes would watch me walk down the aisle to not just one, but two husbands.

And I didn’t know how many of them were judging me and my unconventional relationship.

Most of the time it didn’t bother me one bit, but for some reason my fatigue and nerves were combining to create the perfect maelstrom of anxiety in the pit of my stomach.

Diane threw my bedroom door open and rushed inside with a wave of energy. “Oh my god, you look incredible!” she exclaimed and draped the dress over my old bed. “This is so exciting, people are starting to show up and everybody is in such good spirits. They’re all just so danged happy for you, Natasha. Or should I call you Doc Cooper after today?”

“Oh that’s right,” I replied and furrowed my brows. “I hadn’t even thought of that. I guess I will be Doctor Cooper, won’t I?”

“Yes, and it suits you,” Diane grinned. “You’ll make a perfect Doctor Cooper.”

Tina smiled and put her hand on my shoulder. “I’m so proud to have you as my daughter-in-law,” she said. “I know I haven’t told you that enough.”

“Let’s get this dress on and make sure you haven’t gained any weight over the last three days,” Doreen said and unzipped the plastic dust cover.

“Good luck with this one, she’s been the same size since she hit puberty,” Tina laughed. “She can eat like a horse and never gain an ounce.”

“Lucky bitch,” Diane playfully stuck out her tongue at me.

I held my arms up and let them slip the dress over top of me. “You know if Tina wasn’t here, I’d make some joke about getting twice the nighttime exercise.”

I laughed as they all giggled like school girls, even Tina. In spite of being their mother and my stepmother, she was taking everything so well… well enough to laugh at a rude joke about her sons. I was pretty damn lucky to have that kind of support.

Tina zipped the dress up the side and I turned to look in my full length mirror.

I exhaled slowly and let a smile creep onto my lips. I looked beautiful, better than I ever could have imagined.

“Now one more thing,” Tina said and pulled a gorgeous diamond necklace from her pocket and slid it around my neck. She did it up in the back and it sparkled like Christmas lights on my chest.

“This is so gorgeous,” I replied, in awe. “It’s too much.”

“It was my great-grandmother’s,” Tina said. “I want you to have it, the woman who is wife to my sons. It’s yours, Natasha, now that you’re completely part of our family.”

“Thank you,” I whispered and put my hand up to touch it, as if to make sure it was real.

Diane shimmied into her bright red dress, they helped me with my makeup, and suddenly everything was ready to go.

I walked downstairs, my stomach flip flopping so hard I felt like I might throw up the coffee and light breakfast I’d consumed.

My dad was in his tuxedo, waiting for us by the sleigh. He beamed with pride when he saw me and helped me up onto the bench seat in the back. Diane and Doreen joined me, Tina and Dad got up front and with a flick of the reins, Dad got the team in gear and we made our way to the barn.

It was lit up like a cathedral. Cars were parked everywhere, lining our driveway all the way to the road and around the corner. More people had shown up than I’d expected and my nerves kicked back into high gear.

“Don’t worry, the town loves you guys,” Diane said and squeezed my hand. “They’re all here to support you.”

“And drink free booze and eat free food,” Doreen chuckled.

We reached the front of the barn and white sparkly lights twinkled everywhere. Dad helped me down and two young guys from town opened the sliding doors.

Inside, the music began and I walked through, arm in arm with my Dad.

Doreen, Diane, and Tina walked down the aisle first, dropping white and red rose petals along the red carpet leading to the makeshift alter.

I stepped into view and gasped at the crowd, the barn was filled wall to wall with townsfolk, old friends and people I didn’t even recognize.

I glanced up towards my guys and smiled when I saw them. They were perfectly gorgeous in their black tuxedos and matching grins. I barely noticed Roger, Dave and Jake standing to their side in their tuxes.

The wedding march began. Dad kissed my cheek and we started the long walk up the center of the barn to my waiting stepbrothers, lovers, and now husbands.

I heard people talking about me as we walked, with each step I gained more and more confidence until I stood in front of the minister with my back straight and a wide smile on my face.

I floated through the ceremony as if on a cloud. I was legally only marrying one of them, so the minister pulled a name from his pocket and we let fate decide.

Fate chose Jesse, so he would be on the documents but the ceremony would include Jordan.

I wanted the town and the world to know that I had both of them in my heart.

I slid my gaze along their groomsmen and blushed furiously at the knowing looks and winks they gave me.

As much as I loved my husbands, I had enjoyed myself immensely last night.

The final words were said, we were announced as husbands and wife, and the crowd went crazy, clapping and cheering as I kissed each brother, one by one.

It was truly they happiest I’d ever been, and knowing I could be out and in public with my loves made it all the more special.

We walked through the barn for our wedding photos and th
e catering company completely changed it into a gorgeous dining hall for us and all our guests.

I honestly don’t know how I made it through the rest of the night, it felt like a steady stream of people coming to congratulate us over our wonderful wedding.

I was almost unable to walk to the sleigh that waited to take us back to the house. My legs were sore from dancing, my feet were sore from the ridiculously high heels I’d chosen, and the rest of me was sore from the night before.

We left the party in full swing at around one in the morning. Dad was a peach and drove us across the yard before he unhitched the horses and took Tina home. The last time I’d seen Tina, she’d been dozing on a mountain of coats near the grain room in the barn.

I felt truly blessed all over again. Life had given me a lot to deal with, especially in my early years, but lately things were going my way. Dad and Tina had taken my relationship with Jesse and Jordan like it was nothing different than any other relationship.

The town had accepted us, my staff has accepted us, and obviously my business was thriving. The ranch was running like back in the day, and the twins were working doubly hard making sure everything was repaired and in working order.

My life was beyond anything I’d ever imagined, and as the guys, my husbands, carried me in their arms up the stairs to our little farmhouse, I felt like my heart was going to burst.

“Welcome home Mrs. Cooper,” Jesse said, nuzzling my neck. His arms were wrapped around me and my face was pressed against his broad chest.

“Your home awaits, my bride,” Jordan said and kissed my shoulder. He opened the door wide and took me from Jesse. Jesse turned and shut the door and we officially stepped into our new lives as Mr. and Mrs. and Mr. Cooper.

Jordan set me down gently and I stood looking around our home now that we were married. Nothing had changed on the surface, but everything had changed underneath.

I was joyous, I was in love and I was safe. The future was laid out for me and it was going to be a big, gorgeous, and magnificent adventure.

Jesse and Jordan made quick work of undressing me, peeling off my wedding gown and leaving it in a pool of lace and silk on the living room floor.

I helped them out of their tuxedos, a trail of clothing left behind us leading to our room.

“I love you so much,” I said when we got to the bed. “I can’t explain how much you fill me up, how much you both complete me.”

“I love you too, little sis,” Jesse said and kissed me with heat and passion. “Or should I say wife now?”

“Yes, wife… I am your wife,” I exhaled and felt Jordan’s lips on my shoulder, my collarbone.

“I love you too,” he said, his own heat apparent. “My wife, my lover.”

I fell back onto the bed and let their hungry mouths devour me, their fingers and hands touch me everywhere, and their love send me higher and higher until I was overflowing with happiness

I let the waves of joy and pleasure flow through me, carrying me like a leaf on the strength of their love.

Life could only get better with these two by my side.
