The Demon Master's Wife (Fantasy, Space Opera, Science Fiction Romance) (FORCED TO SERVE)

“If Chiang didn’t like to rip these damn things off, I wouldn’t have to bother with this crap tonight,” Gwen murmured, hating the absorbent hygiene strips that just seemed a part of every female’s curse in life, no matter the species.
She had just pulled on her favorite pair of off-duty pants over the strips when she heard her door alarm sound. Grabbing her top from the bed where she had thrown it earlier, Gwen fastened the first few hooks on her shirt as she walked to answer the summons.
Looking through the viewing port, Gwen gritted her teeth at the visitor as she yanked open the door.
“I have no time to verbally spar with you, Zade,” she said roughly, opening the door wider. “I’m off-duty and have an appointment to meet someone. Is there a problem with the Captain?”
“No—to the best of my knowledge there is no problem with Liam,” Dorian said. “I would like to discuss something personal. May I come in so we don’t have to discuss it in the hall?”
Gwen felt all the tiny hairs on her body standing up in alarm.
“Since when do you make social calls? What do you want, Zade?” she demanded.
Dorian sighed in resignation, hearing the challenge in her tone.
“I just need to talk to you,” he insisted quietly, working to keep his tone even and his voice well modulated.
“Can’t it wait until tomorrow?” Gwen asked, turning her back to him to finish fastening her shirt.
Dorian smelled the body cleansing ritual on her. Peering into images being created by her thoughts, he saw who Gwen was headed to spend time with, and what she was planning to do with him.
“I’ve waited two years too long already,” he said quietly, realizing when he spoke the words just how true they were. “I have to be on duty in a few hours, so I won’t take long. But it must be done today or I will not be able to concentrate knowing what you are doing without me.”
Turning back to him when her clothes were secure, Gwen rolled her eyes at his dramatic statement. “Let me just say this plainly, Lieutenant. Go away—I have a date.”
“Yes, I know you are intending to go to another male for your needs,” Dorian said, meeting and holding her gaze. “That’s why I’m here. I don’t want you to go to him. I don’t want you to go to any other males anymore.”
Stating the demand aloud started a series of chain reactions inside Dorian. Desire for Gwen strained the modulation he carefully kept on his vibrational setting. Any moment now he was going to start emitting pleasure waves. Gwen would succumb of course, but it wasn’t what he wanted to happen. He would prefer that she willingly choose him based on her own desire to be with him.
“Zade, don’t you realize how strange that statement is coming from you when you sent me away two years ago?” Gwen asked, shaking her rapidly drying hair. “The offer to bond with you has been rescinded. I’ve moved on.”
“May I please come in and try to explain?” Dorian asked, fighting his impatience.
Gwen studied Zade still standing in her doorway. He looked uncomfortable, but also unwilling to budge. Thinking she might as well have the confrontation now and get it over with once and for all, she stepped out of the doorway to let him enter.
“Five minutes—no more,” she said flatly.
Dorian bowed his head at her reluctant invitation, and then stepped across her threshold. He had never been in her room before. His first observation was that it smelled of her. He turned in a circle, looking around. Her bed was standard issue, but the rich purple cloth covering on it was not.
“My proposal is very simple. I wish to be your only bonding partner,” Dorian told her sincerely. “I would expect exclusive rights to you in exchange. We will try this until you are more comfortable with discussing other possibilities with me.”
Gwen looked at Dorian Zade, hands fisting at her sides in frustration.
“Raging fires of Helios, you didn’t wish it two years ago when I wanted you then,” Gwen said flatly. “I’m no longer interested in you, Zade. As long as you’ve been abstaining, hell—any female will do for you. Go see Calliope.”
“You are wrong,” Dorian said. “I was interested in you when you asked me, but I was still trying to keep vows I had taken. My vows are why I allowed you to take other bonding partners. I regret those decisions now.”
“What are you talking about, Zade? You haven’t allowed me to do anything. I do what I want with whom I want,” Gwen informed him, ignoring the flutter of warning in her stomach as she stomped to her sleeping area and started looking for shoes.
“We are natural mates Gwen Shenu Jet,” Dorian said firmly, unable to remove his gaze from her backside as she bent to lift shoes free from the pile in her upright clothing chest. She was a fine female, and soon to be his female.
Dorian suddenly regretted the last two years with a fierceness that surprised him.
“Mates? Have you lost your mind? The only relationship we have is being fellow crew members together—and sometimes that even strains me,” Gwen said with a harsh laugh as she sat on the edge of her bed to put her shoes on. “Like now for instance.”
“As the child of an elite Siren of Rylen, I have to work very hard not to lure females. There have been no females for me since my last mate died,” Dorian told her. “I have been very careful not to lure you to me, but I will do so now if you cannot be reasonable about this. I do not wish you to go to other males any longer, Gwen. I am here now and willing to satisfy you. You have no further need of them.”
Gwen stood and walked up to Zade, tipping back her head to peer up into his fathomless blue gaze. At six feet tall by Earth measurements, she was not overly intimidated by his six and a half feet, but she was leery of his obviously demented mental state.
“Zade, you’re crazy if you think I’m going to crawl into bed with you just because you suddenly think it’s a great idea. You need to leave,” Gwen said firmly. “Immediately.”
Seeing no other way to accomplish his goal, Dorian closed his eyes, blew out a breath, and released the sexual vibrations he had for her, feeling them penetrate her body at long last. To share them with her was even more wonderful than he’d imagined and it went straight to the core of his spirit.
Her initial shock and wonderment found such an exact match in him that Dorian wanted to laugh. He wished he could touch her, but that would be taking even more unfair advantage.
Gwen groaned in instant arousal when she felt some kind of sexual energy reaching out from Zade to heat her body. It was all she could do not to attack him and demand sex. Her gaze met his gaze fiercely. His half-lidded study of her was the most sexual look she’d ever received from a male.
“What in Helios are you doing to me?” Gwen asked, hating that it came out sounding like a plea to understand instead of a demand to stop what he was doing.
Her arousal level continued to climb with every pass Zade made as he slowly paced in front of her. She had never seen him look so on edge, and her anxiety level rose right along with her fear. Her instinct to protect herself kicked in and it was strong.
“Stop walking, Zade. Turn and face me. Oh God—stop. . .stop this energy thing you’re doing right now,” she demanded.
“Shel’aim-ah. Cro-chen-ee,” he whispered, making his commitment in his native Rylen language. “You are my mate, Gwen Shenu Jet. It is my pleasure to please you. I promise to be all you will ever need in a male.”
“Need? No—I don’t need you. Stop, I don’t want this—not with you,” Gwen said, sinking to the edge the bed as another series of waves rippled over her, moving her level of lust for Zade from hot to blazing. She gripped the edges of the covers to stop herself from reaching for him.
“You can undress and touch yourself if you like. I swear I will not touch you without your permission,” Dorian said, wishing there were no such barriers needed between them.
If he had been honest with her before, there would be no male expecting her and this would not be necessary. He had only himself to blame, but there wo
uld be no leaving her until he had marked her with his energy enough to keep the other males away. If she would just stop resisting her pleasure, he could hold her afterwards until he had to go on duty.
“When I got off the Liberator at Rylen, it was not to indulge in physical delights. It was merely to visit my mother,” Dorian said softly, coming closer to Gwen. “I work diligently to keep my sexuality in check as I have no wish to enslave anyone with my physical longings. The only time I allow myself to be sexual is with a mate. I have decided that I want to share myself with you, Gwen. I’m sorry I didn’t do this two years ago.”
Gwen shook her head, trying to clear away the lust that had taken control of her.
“This is not right. You haven’t even laid a hand on me. Stop that damn pacing, Zade. What exactly are you doing?” she demanded.
“Giving you pleasure,” Dorian said quietly, walking still. “And when you find your pleasure, I will bring the vibrations of your physical release into me to find mine. It is a small exchange not requiring physical touch to be effective. It is something the Sirens learn to do very early in life.”
“You can give me an orgasm without touching me?” Gwen exclaimed, clamping her thighs together and doing her best to fight the rolling waves that threatened to send her soaring.
“Yes. You might want to continue to lie on the bed to keep from falling at my feet when you reach the end. Knowing your pride, that would only make you more angry at me,” Dorian said, continuing to pace in front of her.
Gwen glared and frowned at the pacing male. With his every pass, she grew weaker and her clothing grew wetter. She didn’t understand this.
What was he doing to her? And why was she so susceptible?
“Zade, as an officer who outranks you, I order you to stop this immediately,” Gwen ground out, voice breaking as her legs trembled with arousal.
“I will stop when you have given in to your pleasure,” Dorian said, feeling her fighting him.
Shades of Kellnor, even her resistance was arousing. In fact, it was so arousing that Dorian had to clench his fists to keep his hands off her. During the claiming period, his skin produced a strong pheromone that was highly addictive. He didn’t want to risk doing that to Gwen too soon.
“I don’t know what’s gotten into you, Zade, but I’m running out of patience,” Gwen said on a moan, forcing her reluctant body to stand up.
Though her legs wobbled badly, and her genitals throbbed, Gwen stumbled across the room to where her uniform jacket hung on a peg by the door.
“You were heading to one of your males to be pleasured, but I can no longer allow that,” Dorian said calmly, trying to sound logical instead of possessive. From the look of horror on Gwen’s face, he wasn’t managing to hide his true intentions.
“What I do in my free time is none of your damn business,” Gwen said, having to clutch the wall for support when another series of pleasurable waves assaulted her. “What you’re doing is not fair, not right. You can’t force me to have a climax. I refuse to let you do this to me.”
Dorian walked close to where Gwen leaned against the wall, moaning with her desire for him. Her face was shiny with sweat now and bonding lust ruled her. She was more beautiful than any female he could recall seeing in that condition.
Dorian reached out instinctively, but just as quickly pulled his hand back. He couldn’t touch her, didn’t dare. If he allowed himself the pleasure of stroking Gwen’s skin while he vibrated with the Siren’s call, nothing would stop him from taking her. It was obvious Gwen wasn’t ready for that step when she was fighting not to accept even the simple release he was trying to give her.
Dorian could feel himself walking the edge of Rylen mating madness and shook his head to clear it away before he did things he knew he would regret. His other two mates had not fought him or the pleasure he could so effortlessly give them. He found it incredibly arousing that Gwen was holding off the climax that he craved as much as she did at that point.
He closed his eyes and groaned at her struggle, shocked to find himself secretly hoping Gwen would always be so challenging to conquer. His body strained in effort and he wasn’t even in direct contact with her yet.
Gwen turned her face from the wall to look at Zade over her shoulder.
Admittedly, the giant male was sexy as hell. If she had been totally an Earth human, she would definitely have been a puddle at his feet sobbing in climax already.
But she was also her father’s Thelorian daughter—and her will was very strong.
“I’m ordering you one last time to stop whatever it is you are doing to me,” Gwen informed him, hating that her commanding voice was rough with lust.
“Do you ever ask any of your other males to stop?” Dorian demanded huskily, standing close and staring down into her face. He felt her on the edge of rapture and trembled at the thought of receiving her release “You are absolutely the most beautiful female I have ever pleasured.”
“I’m also the most dangerous female—you freaking, controlling Siren asshole,” Gwen ground out, turning her body and the small stunner she held towards him.
She pulled the trigger and a beam shot out nailing Zade directly in the chest. Seconds later, Dorian crumpled unconscious to the floor, a giant heap of hot, pulsing male landing in a pile at her feet.
Unrepentant of her actions, Gwen looked down at the handsome male, pleased that she had stopped him from taking advantage, but she couldn’t stop herself from drawing in a lungful of his scent. He reeked of arousal and something else that was driving her absolutely crazy with need.
Talk about smelling like sex, she thought, breathing in lungful after lungful.
“My God, Zade, you smell fantastic,” Gwen said huskily, laughing with the heady pleasure she felt just looking at him.
Whatever was going on, her body tingled in places she hadn’t known existed.
Then suddenly Gwen couldn’t prevent the climax he’d been trying to give her from taking her over. She groaned as she fought it, lost in wave after wave after wave.
“I don’t even have erotic dreams, Zade. Raging fires of Helios, what have you done to me?” Gwen demanded, groaning with an exquisite release as she fell against the wall writhing in pleasure-pain.
As the feelings intensified even more, her legs finally gave up trying to support her.
With a final groan, she fell down and across Zade’s mostly unconscious body.
The climax lasted for a full minute—maybe even two, every cell in her pulsing with completion. Gwen literally couldn’t prevent herself from stroking Zade’s chest muscles through his clothes and burying her face in his shirt as she reached the end of it at last and was able to stop thrashing.
Zade moaned beneath her then, his body suddenly shaking under hers. His unconscious physical reaction sent what felt like a hundred aftershocks of pleasure rippling over Gwen as she lay panting across his vibrating body. She moaned again finding she could barely move, so great was her capitulation.
The mind link—or whatever it was—that Zade had formed with her against her will was evidently not hampered by his unconscious state.
Ironically, Gwen found herself wondering what the experience would have been like if Zade had remained conscious.
“You are one kinky weirdo, Zade. We didn’t even get naked. Damn it, I always like that part,” Gwen said tightly.
She slowly got to her feet after she managed to convince her overly pleasured body to move off the male responsible.
Zade moaned again and started to reach out for her, but Gwen evaded his lifting arms and seeking hands, making herself pull away.
“If you try to force me into anything ever again, I’m going to fry your Siren ass and send the ashes to your sex-crazed Siren mother,” Gwen said harshly, making herself put some distance between them.
There was another insistent knock on her door and Gwen swore.
“Of course—now freaking help shows up,” she complained bitterly, stumbling over to it on sex
-weakened legs to open it to her too late rescuer.
Chiang looked at Gwen’s face, saw her heightened color just before meeting her hazy eyes still clouded with the aftermath of pleasure.
“Hey—I thought I was supposed to be the one causing you to look like that today,” he teased. “Who did my job for me?”
Hearing a moan, Chiang’s gaze went to the male lying immobile on the floor. His eyes widened in shock.
“Stop staring. Get in here and help me,” Gwen demanded, walking limply back to where Zade’s body still lay thrashing about on the floor.
“Shades of Kellnor,” Chiang said, laughing when he lacked a more dignified reaction to seeing the giant male incapacitated. “What did you do to Lieutenant Zade?”
“On Earth there is a saying that when a female says no, she really means no. Zade wanted to bond—I didn’t. He should have listened when I told him no,” Gwen said firmly. “I stunned him when he wouldn’t leave me alone.”
Chiang burst out in disbelieving laughter, appalled that Gwen would take down a fellow officer, and that was the least of his thoughts. Somehow she had refused to answer the Siren’s call and held off a determined Siren male in heat. His textbook had said there was no resisting.
It gave Chiang a whole new perspective on Gwen Jet.
“So you stunned Zade just because he wanted to bond with you? Gwen, every male on this ship wants the same thing. Lieutenant Zade is going to be seriously angry when he comes around. You could be brought up on charges. Not to mention, this is not the warrior for you to be challenging.”
“Charges? I’m the one wronged here. Zade refused a damn order to stop. And I know all about Mr. Khalsa warrior and his precious vows. Let him try to make me do something like this again and watch me fry him. Now are you going to stand there laughing at the situation or help me?” Gwen demanded.
“Both I suppose,” Chiang said finally, coming into the room. “What exactly do you want me to do? I definitely don’t want to be the first male the Lieutenant sees when he comes around and figures out what happened.”
