The Way Home

by Simpson, Stefanie

Her hands and lips brushed over his hip, just in that spot that was sensitive and he arched his head back and moaned.

A little pre-come beaded on the tip of his cock, and she licked at it. He growled, and she giggled. She took pity then and sheathed him, her perfect body moving as she seated herself. Connecting with the tight heat that gripped him, he nearly came on the spot.

Her movements were a slow and tortuous as her caressing had been. He was almost too far gone to form thoughts. He was all sensation, when she bent low to him, her breasts against his chest, he made a desperate noise, her lips, and tongue went to his mouth in the same rhythm.

When she stretched over him, and he captured her perfect breasts in his hands, he kissed and pinched her nipples, and felt her whole body respond, her movements quicker, her body tensed, he knew she would come soon, and he desperately needed it.

Her gentle moans became frantic, and when she peaked and released, her whole body went of its own accord, she had no control of it, and he was enthralled by her face, the noises she made, everything. He tensed with the tight clench of her muscles, and her desperate thrusts on him. Grabbing her hips, he moved her as she begged him to fuck her, and he let go, letting himself take her. Her eyes were half-open, body lax as he held her in place and pounded up.

He came hard as the sensation pulsing through every nerve.

He wet his lips as he caught his breath. “That was, you are…”

  “Thanks.”

He laughed and held her close. “You are amazing.”

“So are you, hot stuff.” She nestled into his neck. “I need to get off, but I can’t seem to.”

“Hmm.” His eyes were already closing, and she felt him fall asleep. She pulled off when he was soft, and he moaned when she took the condom off him. After cleaning up and curled up back in bed with him, and they both went to sleep.

Em cracked an egg, and the hiss and crackle of it hitting the hot fat made Ryan blink. He was watching her from the doorway.

“Are you just going to stand there?”

“I’d planned on it. I do love legs.” She giggled only wearing knickers and a vest.

“Can you do the tea?” she turned back and smiled at him for a moment. It left him feeling warm and content. He had woken to the smell of cooking, and he was starving seeing as they hadn’t eaten last night. It was still dark out, nowhere near dawn on a wet November day.

  They ate. “Where’s Cap?”

“Kevin’s. I’ve been trying to be more accessible to people. It’s a thing I do apparently. Not be accessible.” She raised her brows.

  He quirked his. “Who knew?”

She granted him a sarcastic smile. “Right? He looked at me strangely when I asked him to watch her. I think he’s going to tell you I’m seeing someone. Do you know he has a girlfriend?”

Ryan laughed. “May, she works for Disability Sport. Lovely woman. Surely Kevin realises we’re a thing. I mean, I stayed at yours.”

“Nope, he was with his girlfriend.”

  “So no one knows?”

“Not even Jess. Jess said everyone was going out tonight.”

  “Oh, that, yeah.”

  “You don’t sound thrilled.”

“It’s my birthday. Well, it was Thursday actually.”

“What the fuck?” she pointed the spatula at him, hurt and annoyed.

“It’s just that, and don’t do those big blue sad eyes at me.”

She set her face knowing what he was going to say.

“I don’t celebrate my birthday, not since I was a child, and never developed the habit, I just don’t.”

“It would have been nice if you had told me.”

“Okay, what would you have done?”

“Cooked you a good steak, bottle of wine, given you a blowjob.” She shrugged.

“Fuck. If I’d have known that.” He grinned at her, she laughed, and they ate their breakfast.

She pulled on the jeans from her tote and shoved her sexy underwear in. She gave him a lingering kiss at the door a little later.

  “I’ll see you tonight then.”

“I don’t want to wait until tonight.”

“I have things to do.” She pecked his lips, and went home, thinking the whole way.

  Fourteen. Supersonic

Em wore a nude colour dress, almost the colour of her skin. Tight and to the knee, it had thin straps with a curved neck, and her breasts pressed against it. Her tan heels gave her a little height, and her hair was over one shoulder in waves. Sometimes less really was more.

She strutted into the club on her own, feeling a wave of confidence ripple through her. Anxiety warred with it as she cut through the crowd. One of the things that she was so confused about was that very thing, the contradiction in her mind. But she wasn’t her anxiety, it was a squat little bugger that kept poking a nerve, and her job was to keep that fucker in check.

Ryan was part of that, the way he looked at her, the things he said and did. Turned out that being loved was both bolstering and terrifying. She was served at the bar and sought him out, not that he was hard to spot towering over people near a wall, and she felt his stare burn into her.

“Hello Em.” His voice reverberated through her when she joined the table, and she focused on his pursed lips.

“Ryan.” She kept her face neutral, and everyone seemed to exhale. She winked when she was certain no one saw. He scowled at her and looked away. She wondered if he was as hard for her, as she was wet for him.

May was beautiful, her skin a rich sepia, natural hair, and the tight curls were tipped blonde and artfully styled. She had perfect cheekbones and a confident vibe. Em liked her immediately. Kevin barely took his eyes off her.

She downed her shot and shuddered. A favourite song came on, and Em dragged Jess off to the dancefloor, and May was pulled with them.

“Where’s Dan?” Em screamed it over the beat, and she was sure it was louder in there every time she went in.

  “There’s news.”

  Em raised her brows.

“The guy he met, Simon, lives on the coast somewhere, guess where Dan’s gone for ‘a long weekend’?”

“Fuck yes, he deserves to be happy.”

Em never danced suggestively in public, she just tottered about in time to the music, but practising so much, made it unable to resist. Besides, it was the plan. She undulated to the music, she employed her best unintentionally sexy grace, having a terrific time.

Ryan scowled harder. He wanted to put his arms around her and pin her against a wall. He needed her. The thoughts of last night went through his head and seeing her dressed as she was made him twitch in need.

It was hard not to throw everything at their delicate little relationship, already wanting to ask her to marry him, knowing what he wanted but needing to be circumspect, and let things develop naturally. She was at a precarious point, and he wouldn’t push her. He watched her move to the music, and he wondered how she looked on stage.

He drank his beer. The song changed, a more playful one and Em mimed the words as she danced, and the song could have been about them. She caught his eye, only for a second, she was smiling, teasing.

She said dancing turned her on, and he could see it. She was putting on a subtle, yet seductive little show for him. A small smile played on his mouth as his scowl fell away.

The smile halted as someone put his hands on her. Why did people think they had the right to touch her? His fake scowl became a real one, and he stood.

The others had been watching him. Carl looked at Em and then Ryan, and cottoning on, he grinned.

Em was having a hard time being polite to the guy, who was a bit drunk. Ryan found himself walking over to them, he’d done this before, and it was unwelcome. In his fantasy afterwards, he had danced with her instead of freezing up and walking away.

Ryan stood before the man and sidled in between him and Em. The beat of the song ended,
and another one started up. Ryan didn’t say anything, the guy just left.

He turned to Em, he looked into her eyes, they were pained.

“Thanks.” She glanced as Jess whose eyebrows were in her hairline, making Em wink at her friend.

  “You’re welcome.”

The music changed to a slower track with a heavy, dirty beat, and she smiled. “Want to dance?”

  “I can’t; I’ve never danced.”

“Oh no, I can’t have that. Besides, no other man will put his hands on me if you dance with me. Let me show you.” He began to retreat, but she put her fingers in his belt loops and pulled him to her.

  “I really can’t.”

She went up on tiptoes. “A man who fucks like you do can dance. Think of it like making love to me. Hips.”

She put her hands on his hips and moved them to the music. He swallowed as he hesitantly began to move, a little awkwardly.

“Feet.” He looked down and mirrored her steps. “There you go. Dancing.”

She took his hands as they moved together, slower than the song warranted, but she led him a little and turned, so her back was to his front, and they undulated to the rhythm. She went to his back, and he turned so that he faced her and they moved to the beat again, hands on each other.

His eyes didn’t want to leave hers, she led him in every move, and he kept with her, getting less self-conscious and more into it with every second. He wanted her, needed her. The tension between them grew, they were so close that her hands went to his neck, and the response was natural, he lifted her up and kissed her. When the beat kicked up of the next song, she pulled back.

“I want to take you home and make love to you. Slowly, for hours.”

Laughing, she wriggled out of his hold and went back to the table. He followed. Jess and May quickly joined them. Jess was pissed off. Em sipped her drink.

  “What?”

  “You didn’t tell me.”

Em smiled dangerously but winked. “Payback, for the vile set up in the summer, I thought I’d do it now before the peanut comes along.”

Ryan leant forward and grinned his rare smile, and kissed Em’s cheek.

Jess sat there agape. Em wrinkled her nose as she smiled.

“So you two are a couple.”

  “Yes.”

  “How long you sly fucker?”

  “Not long, Halloween.”

  “You never said a word.”

Jess shook her head. At the third drink in, Jess leant over. She poked her lemonade and lime with a straw. “Are you happy?”

  “Extremely.”

  “No doubts?”

Em turned to see Ryan talking to Kevin. He caught her eye, smiled, and looked back to his friend. “If he said, let’s get married tomorrow, I’d say yes. We both know there are things to address, but we set some rules and agreed to support each other. It’s intense, though.” Em’s eyes glazed slightly and gave off the general glow of a satisfied woman. Jess hugged her.

  “Is it that good?”

“There are no actual words for it.”

  Jess whistled.

Ryan leant over and spoke in her ear. “I hope you’re not discussing the details of our sex life?”

“Sex life? Hmm, no I can’t quite remember that you might have to remind me.” She took a drink.

  “All right then.”

He stood and took her hand, and she followed as he weaved them through the crowd. He led her down the corridor for the emergency exit and toilets, and ignoring the people there, he turned her to the wall and put his thigh between her legs. She reached up to him, taller in her heels and their faces hovered, Ryan’s mouth opened, she smiled in the tension.

  “This dress should be illegal.”

He kissed her, hard, punishing, but his initial hunger sated, and he relaxed and slowed. Her dress rose up her thighs, as he reached under and put her legs around his waist again, and pressed her into the wall.

“Put her down before you knock her up.”

Em laughed, and they parted, straightening her dress. Jess pulled Em into the ladies behind her and Em’s eyes remained on Ryan until the door shut.

  “Holy fuck my ass Em.”

“I know. That was kind of calm actually.”

“I have fun, I have great sex, obviously, but that was something else.” Jess went into the stall and talked to Em through the door. May spoke up as she was reapplying her lipstick, looking at Em in the mirror.

“You just about gave everyone a treat out there. You two are hot.”

Em leant her head back and closed her eyes.

“Oh you have no idea, the things he can do, he has it, you know. It. Broody bad boy hot looks, but so sweet and good and kind and generous, but hotly demanding. Up for pretty much anything.” She made a needy noise.

  “Jesus, Em.” May laughed.

“I want to blow you off and take him home.”

Jess pointed to Em as she came out of the stall. “No chance. We are out tonight. Our men can sit the fuck down.”

“Can I sit on his lap, though?”

They both answered at once. “No.”

“Arse.” Em went into the stall Jess vacated. “How’s ‘mum in training’ doing anyway?”

“Fine, occasional puking. Not too bad, fucking tired as shit, though. So, you two, I mean, are you okay?”

“Yes, actually. Eyes open, all cards on the table. No need to worry.”

“I’ll always worry about you. I knew you two could sort it out.”

“You were right, for I bow down and worship my queen.”

  “As you should.”

When they left the bathroom, Ryan was waiting for her.

Jess rolled her eyes. “Oh God.”

Ryan followed behind. “I have to dance, girl time.”

“Only if you dance for me again.” His tone made her heart drop.

The three women danced until their feet were numb. It was before twelve they rejoined the boys. Carl spoke to Em as they were refreshing their drinks.

“Ryan looks really happy. I’ve never seen him like this. About goddamn time too.”

  “Yeah, took us a while.”

“You’ve got this glowing thing going on. You two are good together.” He gave her his charming smile, and she rolled her eyes.

The sharp morning made Ryan snuggle under the duvet, he woke hangover free and reached for Em, but her side of the bed was cold. He frowned and checked the time, after ten. She had told him she didn’t sleep late, and neither did he until he was having all the sex.

It had been hard and furious when they got in. He smiled, remembering her coming, nails clawing his back.

He found his jeans and feet, but no t-shirt. He shivered as he put on his socks for his prosthetics, put his feet on, and wandered out of the bedroom to find her.

There she was in her kitchen, waiting for her posh coffee maker to supply her with caffeine. She was wearing his t-shirt, it didn’t quite cover her bottom, and she wore nothing under it. She was leaning on the kitchen counter, and he had never seen anything more inviting.

He was suddenly aware of his breathing being too loud. She knew he was there because her head turned slightly as if she was waiting to see what he would do, and he saw a smirk rise up on one side of her face.

The thrill of need in him was so intense that he couldn’t help himself. When he reached her, he ran his hand up the back of her thigh and over her bottom, fingers pressed into her, and pushed the t-shirt up. She made a small noise of pleasure and arched her head back. He undid his jeans, they didn’t speak, and it was just the sound of their breathing and a zip undoing.

He lifted her hips up, so her feet dangled and her body pressed into the counter. He ran his finger between her legs, and she was already so wet, he lost all reasonable thought and entered her, calling out as he did.

He didn’t take her fast, but he was hard, her whole body felt each thrust, the t
hings on the counter moved every time, clinking and wobbling, her hands scrabbled about looking for purchase, but he caught them up, and held her wrists to her back. He threw his head back as he cried out, his arms pressed on her body, she called out louder as he sped up, unable to draw it out, her legs moved uselessly as she came and her internal muscles gripped his cock, he came with her as she screamed.

He let her wrists go and leant over her, and they were both panting and silent. He blinked as he came back to himself.

He realised what he had done.

“Em.” The word was pained and strangled, but she was smiling. He carefully withdrew and set her down. “I’m so sorry.”

She turned, and her smile fell away when she saw his face.

  “Sorry, why? That was incredible.”

“What?” he frowned and stepped back.

“Look, hold that thought.” She nipped off gingerly to the bathroom.

He was staring at the coffee maker with a troubled expression when she returned. Emotion almost overwhelming him.

“I just took you like that, I didn’t stop to see if you wanted to, and I didn’t put on a condom, Em, I,” he was distressed. “I should go.”

“Stop. Stop right there.” She poured the coffee. “Sit.” Her voiced held an edge, so he obeyed.

He toyed with his cup, and he wouldn’t look at her. He scowled, preferring tea in the morning.

“I knew you were there. I knew what you were thinking because I realised what I looked like to you, and I could hear you breathing. That made me want you to do exactly what you did. I know what kind of man you are. Did I give you any indication that wasn’t what I wanted? I know if I said something, or my body language if I froze up, or anything else made you doubt I wanted you, you would have stopped. Besides, I really could beat the crap out of you.

“We were in the moment, and it was a fucking glorious thing. It’s really difficult for me to come in that position, did you feel it, how hard I came?” he nodded. “You can’t make a woman come against her will; it doesn’t work like that. And as for the condom, so, we’re both clean, the IUD means I’m not getting pregnant, it’s more reliable than suiting up. We’re good. The only thing is you killed my post-coital buzz.” She grinned.
