“Then that’s what we’ll do,” he said, tugging it out of her hand and tossing it carelessly onto the floor. “By the way, my paternity leave got approved.”
“That’s wonderful, Joe!” she exclaimed.
“I thought so. If you like, it can also double as our honeymoon.”
She gazed at him with love, memorizing his features and expression for the years to come. Someday she would tell Breanna and their future children every detail of their story. “An excellent idea.”
