Tanner and Kellee are perfect for each other. They frequent the same bars, love the same music, and have the same desire to rip each other’s clothes off. Only problem? Tanner is still in love with his best friend.

I’ve been thinking about Mikey’s book since the first day this series came to me and I plotted out each brother. I knew his would hurt, but that it would also heal — and I am so glad I finally got to help his love come to life.

But I couldn’t have done it without some very important people.

To the strongest woman on planet earth — my mother — thank you for loving me and supporting me. Even when you are dealing with so much on your own, you never fail to check in on me, cheer for me, and believe in me (especially when I don’t believe in myself). You are the light of my life and my guiding star when I am lost. I love you.

Staci Hart, thank you for being tough on me in feedback where it was needed. You always push me to go above and beyond, to take my story and elevate it, and I am so thankful to you for that. I love that every day that I sit down to work, you’re there, too — and we get through it together. Let’s do it forever. #MTT

My beta readers were, as always, instrumental in the creation of Manhattan. Trish QUEEN MINTNESS, you were absolutely vital this time around. Thank you for reading quickly, providing honest feedback, and giving me ideas to shine light on these characters like I couldn’t have on my own. Kellee Fabre, thank you for always messaging me with long texts of love. You have no idea how much those hair pets help me get through it all! Kathryn Andrews, you helped me see so much that I had missed, and once again, this story would not have been what it is without you. Sarah Green, you were knee deep in your own work and still made time for me. I am so honored to have you as a friend and as a reader. Thank you!

To the newest additions of my team — Natalie Bailey and Carly Wilson — thank you for being the fresh eyes I so desperately needed. I love hearing your take on these brothers and this world. And your words of affirmation mean more than I could ever tell you!

A huge and very special shout out goes to Tina Stokes, my incredible friend and (lucky for me) bad ass PA. There are no words to describe how valuable you are to me, and I am so thankful to have your eyes on my books and your hands on my brand. Now, when are we planning that road trip? ;)

Sasha Erramouspe, as always, you being the last person to see my book before it gets released to the masses is always so crucial. Thank you for taking the time to give me that last bit of feedback to really make my books shine. I love you!

To Elaine York of Allusion Graphics, my process would literally be dead in the water if it wasn’t for you. You are hands down the best editor in the biz, and I am so thankful to have you on my team. Love you!

I have the most amazing team on my side, and I want to thank all of them. Nina, Brittany, Kelley, and the rest of my team at Social Butterfly PR — thank you for promoting my books like they’re YOURS, and for making my life easier when it comes to release time.

Lauren Perry of Perrywinkle Photography is such a dream to work with, which is why she has done all the photography for every cover I’ve had since A Love Letter to Whiskey. Thank you for always pushing to see my vision and bring it to life, and for sharing your incredible talent with the world.

I want to give a huge shout out to all the bloggers and authors who read early copies, reviewed, promoted, and got everyone else excited about Manhattan. This book world is a community, and without all of you, my dreams wouldn’t be possible.

Kandiland — I want to really take a moment here to ensure you know how special you are in my life. I can still remember when there were just 3 of us, and now, there are nearly 4,000. You are my favorite place to hang out online, and I love that it’s such a casual, comfortable, amazing place to be in the book community. I wouldn’t be able to do this without you, because when things get tough, you are always there to push me through, and when things are amazing, you are always there to celebrate with. The GOAT. I love you all!

Finally, I want to thank you — the reader. If you’ve made it this far, even reading the ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS? Well, you’re pretty freakin’ awesome. Thank you for picking up MY book out of all the choices you have out there. I truly appreciate you, and I hope you’ll find other books in my backlist that you love as much as this one.

Kandi Steiner is a bestselling author and whiskey connoisseur living in Tampa, FL. Best known for writing “emotional rollercoaster” stories, she loves bringing flawed characters to life and writing about real, raw romance — in all its forms. No two Kandi Steiner books are the same, and if you’re a lover of angsty, emotional, and inspirational reads, she’s your gal.

An alumna of the University of Central Florida, Kandi graduated with a double major in Creative Writing and Advertising/PR with a minor in Women’s Studies. She started writing back in the 4th grade after reading the first Harry Potter installment. In 6th grade, she wrote and edited her own newspaper and distributed to her classmates. Eventually, the principal caught on and the newspaper was quickly halted, though Kandi tried fighting for her “freedom of press.” She took particular interest in writing romance after college, as she has always been a die hard hopeless romantic, and likes to highlight all the challenges of love as well as the triumphs.

When Kandi isn’t writing, you can find her reading books of all kinds, talking with her extremely vocal cat, and spending time with her friends and family. She enjoys live music, traveling, hiking, anything heavy in carbs, beach days, movie marathons, craft beer and sweet wine — not necessarily in that order.
