His head came down until it was inches away from mine. When his eyes met mine he let out a sigh and released his grip on me, but only for a second. When I thought I was free he grabbed my hands and lifted them above my head against the bed. “What’re you doing?” he asked voice gruff with sleep.

I gulped. “I was just trying to wake you. I wanted to know if it was ok if I went downstairs to start the food. It’s going to take me a while.” I explained.

His eyes searched mine and I didn’t know what he was looking for. He leaned down until I could feel his breath against my ear. “You shouldn’t sneak up on people like that. I didn’t know who you were, I could’ve hurt you.” He said harshly.

My heart was beating a mad rhythm in my chest. “I’m – I’m sorry. I didn’t mean…” I trailed off. I mean what could I really say? I’ve never been in a position like this.

“Don’t be sorry – don’t let it happen again.” He threatened.

This time my eyes narrowed. “All I did was try to wake you up, you shouldn’t be so paranoid.”

He laughed but it held no humor. “You have no idea princess.”

He let me go and sat up on his hunches. “No one is really going to be here today, so have it. I’ll be down after I freshen up.” He said getting up off the bed.

I sat up and followed suit. “Ok, I’ll be in the kitchen.”

I had my hand on the doorknob ready to make my exit from this very weird morning when his voice followed behind me. “Behave Abelie.”

I shuddered at the warning in his tone, but also the way my name sounded rolling off of his tongue. He never really addressed me by name and it made my insides quiver as he made my name sound like pure hot sex. I practically ran away from him and those thoughts leaving them in his threshold.

  Chapter 5

I was about an hour and a half into the food preparations when Nettie arrived. I was surprised to see her. She looked different today in sweat pants, sneakers, and a plain t-shirt with a picture of Mickey Mouse on the front. She came in and looked over what I was doing before giving me an approving nod. “Morning honey… Lucifer.” She greeted us.

Lucifer had made his way down here about 30 minutes ago, and made his place at the table sitting there like a silent creep. I had decided to ignore him ages ago. He offered her a head nod without looking at her and I rolled my eyes. “Hey Nettie. What are you doing here?” I asked.

She shrugged. “Prez told me that you guys were doing a little thanksgiving thing over here today and said I should come by. I aint got no family so I usually spend the holidays alone or around the club and shit. I haven’t celebrated much of anything in a long while.”

I nodded. “I get it. He’s only barely letting me do this. Do you want to help?” I asked.

She nodded. “Sure, let me wash up and I’ll be right back.”

She disappeared and I stole a look at Lucifer. I walked to the table where he sat. “Thanks for inviting her.” Another grunt. I sighed. “Hey you can at least acknowledge me, I’m trying to be sincere here the least you can do is show that you heard me.”

His eyes rose to meet mine. “I heard you ok? What do you want me to say?” he asked quietly.

I threw my hands up in defeat. There was absolutely, positively no getting through to this man. “Nothing, ok. Absolutely nothing.” I walked back to the counter where I’d been cutting vegetables. “As a matter of fact, you can continue to say absolutely nothing to me for the rest of the day. I’m going to enjoy this and I’m not going to let you ruin it.”

There was no response and I didn’t know if I felt sad or happy at that. I cut the onion a little harder than necessary when his scent swarmed me. I could feel the heat of his body against my back. “You want me gone?” he asked.

I dropped my head. I didn’t know, but I did know that I was feeling a lot of things today. Mostly it was a huge dose of abandonment. I wanted to get whatever small pleasures out of the day that I could, and him brooding and being a jerk wasn’t going to help in the slightest. While at the same time, I didn’t want him to leave me too. In some strange warp reality, he was now my stability in a way. “Can you be nice and not ruin this for me? I’m just asking for one day can you treat me like a person and I you? I already feel like I’ve lost my family, you guys are all I have right now. I don’t want to push you away, but I don’t want you to make me feel worse either.” I confessed. I’ll let him choose what’ll happen from here.

His hand touched my shoulder and slid down my arm going to my free hand. He held it lightly in his before giving it a gentle squeeze. “Ok.” He whispered and his breath blew across my neck causing me to break out in delicious goosebumps.

I raised my head moving back until my back was barely brushing his chest. I closed my eyes and inhaled before giving a slight head nod making his lips brush my skin. “Ok.” I agreed, knowing he could feel the shiver that moved through my body.

My heartbeat was picking up speed at a very unusual rate and my palms grew sweaty with anxiety, but the good kind. His hand was still wrapped around mine and he hadn’t moved away from me. I was considering closing the small gap between us and hopefully fall into his embrace when a voice spoke up behind me causing us both to jump back from each other as if we were caught doing something forbidden.

“Alright honey, give me my duties.” Nettie’s voice said.

He looked down at me, a weird look in his eyes. I gave him a small smile. She approached us hesitantly, a cloud of confusion marking her features. She looked between the two of us before her eyes landed on my hand still in his. He gave my hand another small squeeze before giving her a nod and walking out of the kitchen. She gawked after him before turning to face me with narrowed eyes. My face instantly turned red under her scrutiny.

“Did I interrupt something?” she asked, features dancing with mischief.

I cleared my throat. “No… no. I don’t know what you mean.” I said stumbling all over my words.

Her smile widened. “It looked like something. Actually, you and prez looked very, comfortable.” She said with an eyebrow waggle.

I rolled my eyes. “You’re just imagining things, now move it. I need help.” I said changing the subject.

She dropped it and began getting to work with me. I had a lot of fun cooking with Nettie; she was a riot for sure. She had me on the verge of tears in laughter more times than I can count. At one point I was laughing so hard I was wheezing and Lucifer burst into the kitchen. He looked ready to commit murder and basically screamed at Nettie until she was ashen asking what was wrong with me. It took a while for me to calm him down, and when he figured out what my problem really was he stormed out of the kitchen muttering about crazy bitches which set us both off again. Dinner would be ready in around an hour when Bull sauntered into the kitchen.

“It smells good as fuck in here, what are ya'll pretty ladies doing in here?” he asked leaning against the counter.

I rolled my eyes and Nettie blushed. Well I’ll be…

“Cooking.” She said turning her back to him. He watched her and nodded.

“So, good lookin’, I heard this was your idea. I’ll be honest; I thought he was shitting me when he told me. Then he shut the whole place down for the day, no fucking partying that’s when I knew he was serious. But it’s nothing like seeing this shit for my own two eyes. What the shit are you doing to my bro?” he asked with a smile.

I blushed. “Nothing… I think he just got tired of me complaining is all.” I confessed.

He shook his head. “Na, I’ve heard grown men beg for their lives and he didn’t even think twice. You giving him that good pussy?” he asked, head cocked to the side.

I flushed and threw an oven mitt at him. “NO! God, is that all you think about? Seriously Bull…”

He tsk’d me. “Just asking.” He said with a shrug. “I’m tryin’ to figure shit out is all. Now I’m going to leave you two to finishing up this food. I’m starving.”

  He walked over to
the stove to take a look at what we had going on and he groaned. He turned to Nettie, “I didn’t know you knew your way around the kitchen.”

She shrugged. “I wasn’t that great, but I’ve learned a lot from Abee.” She admitted.

He smacked her butt and she yelped in surprise. “Don’t keep me waiting long.” He told her and began to leave.

“Hey Bull, anyone else coming?” I asked.

He shook his head. “If you haven’t noticed, you’re not on lockdown today. If he’s letting you out and about you’ve got to know he won’t have anyone else here. Plus, with the no partying rule today, everyone is hell bent on staying away so they can party. They also know he never does shit like this, so there’s a reason for it. They’d rather steer clear than get their asses handed to them for fucking up.” With that he left and I was even more confused. What was any of that even supposed to mean to me.

Nettie spoke up. “It’s true. I’ve never known for him to have a no partying rule. He put the men under strict order that day so you could eat with us. Trust me; we all know it’s you. Some don’t give a shit, some well… aint too happy.”

I sighed. “Like Pearl.” I said.

She nodded. “But who gives a shit? This aint about her and this aint ‘bout her fucking prez, she thinks she’s entitled because she thinks she’s prez main squeeze, but he aint crazy about her. She’s fucking delusional and becoming a royal pain in my ass, more so than before. Anyway, enough about her honey… I’m with Bull. These smells have been doing something crazy to me. I’m ready to eat.”

When the food was ready she went to get Bull and Lucifer. They both had wide eyes when they saw all that we had prepared. “Are we going to eat at the table?” I asked.

Lucifer shook his head. “We can go into the main room, watch TV?” he offered.

I smiled and nodded. “Sounds good.”

Everyone made plates, although the guy’s plates looked like they were taking it out to feed an army. Bull led the way to a room within the warehouse I’ve never been. There was a huge TV mounting the wall and a pool table and dart board to the side. There was yet another bar in here and there were a couple of couches. It looked homier and less lived in. “Why don’t we ever come in here?” Bull wondered out loud.

Lucifer snorted. “Because your drunk asses will destroy this place in one night. I doubt half the members even know it’s here. The first bar is enough for them.” He took a place on a chair and grabbed up a remote. I wandered over to where he was sitting and raised an eyebrow in question. He waved his hand over the empty seat next to him and I sat. I folded my legs under me, placing my plate on my lap. He watched me curiously but didn’t say a word. He put on Breaking Bad and everyone got comfortable. There were no words exchanged as everyone dug in but it was a comfortable silence, the sounds from the TV drowning out the sound of forks scraping plates and groans of pleasure. Lucifer finished his ginormous plate before me and I looked in shock. He gave me a half smile and shrugged. I just shook my head in astonishment. When I was full, I still had a little bit of turkey and sweet potatoes on my plate.

“You done?” he asked and I nodded.

He shook his head and took my plate and finished off my food. It didn’t escape my notice that he used my fork. Bull was the first to speak. “That was damn good. I’m having more once I can breathe again.”

  I laughed. “Have at it.”

Lucifer shot him a glare. “Not all of it either.”

Bull held his hands up in surrender. “What?” he asked innocently.

“I know your greedy ass…” Lucifer trailed off.

Bull patted his stomach. “I’m a growing man, you can’t fault me.”

Lucifer just grunted and we all laughed. Bull got up and came back with a bottle of vodka and cups for everyone. “Party time!” he chimed.

Lucifer glared at him and he shrugged. “It’s not like it’s going to be that kind of a party. Relax, we can use a drink.” He argued.

Nettie perked up. “Hey can we play pool?” she asked.

I smiled and I got my second wind. “That sounds like fun.” I said and looked over to Lucifer. “What do you say?” I asked.

He scoffed. “I’m not playing against you knowing you’re going to lose. That’s a waste of time.”

I rolled my eyes. “How do you know you’re going to win? I know how to play.”

His eyebrow lifted in challenge. “Oh, do you?” he asked.

I nodded. “Yes, now let’s play.” I stood and began walking over and he grabbed my arm. “What’re we playing for?” he asked.

My breath hitched. I know what I wanted to play for, but I wouldn’t dare utter the words. “I don’t know.” I said in a breathy tone.

His eyes narrowed and darkened. “We’ll come up with something.” He released me and I turned to walk to the pool table, I caught Bull’s watching eyes and his held a knowing look. I decided to ignore it and grabbed one of the glasses he’d poured.

Nettie was up next and swiped a glass. “Are we doing teams?” she asked.

Bull laughed. “I’m not taking either of you.” He said pointedly.

Nettie threw her hands on her hips. “Fine. Girls against boys, so grade school but whatever, you’re going down.”

Bull smiled and took a sip of his drink. “Usually, my bitches go down… but we’ll see. I wouldn’t mind going down on you if you win.” He said seductively.

Her cheeks were red in an instant. I wonder if they’ve ever slept together. I know it’s typical for the guys and girls in the club to sleep around with each other, but there seem to be more with the two of them. I threw back the rest of my drink and motioned for a refill. He obliged smiling at me and got the game setup.

By the fifth game, we were all wasted. Bull and Nettie were throwing nonstop sexual comments at each other and I wondered when they would cave. I was having a really good time, better than I had in a while. Even Lucifer seemed… normal. He was relaxed and laughing and joking. I threw my hand up in the air and began jumping up and down. “I wanna break, I wanna break!” I said before anyone else could.

Bull laughed. “Someone’s excited, but can you stop jumping around like that?” he asked.

I was happily drunk and his words went in one ear and out the other. I grabbed a pool stick and began jumping again. I looked up to find Lucifer’s eyes fixed on me, staring hard at… my breast? I looked down and realized that they were bouncing up and down out of control with me. I settled down and had myself a sip before stumbling to the table. I walked to the other side of the table where Lucifer was standing so that I could break. I bent down over the table and heard a hiss which made my arm jump just as I hit the ball. I barely made any impact to the balls and everyone laughed. I stood up straight and rolled my eyes. As the game continued, I noticed Bull kept adjusting himself through his pants. Halfway through, he tossed down his stick and grabbed Nettie tossing her over his shoulder.

“Game over. I forfeit, I’ll go down on you sugar… but you’re going down on me too.” Nettie’s unintelligible response echoed off the walls as he all but sprinted away with her on his shoulder.

“It’s just you and me.” I said to Lucifer who was eyeing me.

  He nodded slowly. “Yea.”

“Want to start over?” I asked.

He nodded again and I went about setting up the game. His eyes followed my every movement and I started to feel a lot like prey being stalked. I continued to setup the game, and poured myself a healthy glass when I was done. I allowed him to go first this time. I watched as his muscles flex as he took the first shot, his perfect body leaning over the table. This whole time I’ve refrained from looking at him in anyway, but now without the distraction of Bull and Nettie there was nothing I can do to stop it.

By the time it was my turn again, I was turned on just from watching him. It wasn’t fair, none of this. How could he not be affected by me when I’ve been on this ridiculous rollercoaster when it came to him? When it was my turn, I d
ecided to throw caution to the wind. I pulled my shirt down a bit in the front exposing a bit of cleavage. Then I leaned over the table directly across from him sure that he could see straight down my shirt if he were looking. I snuck a peek up his way and saw that his eyes were glued to my breast. I took my time moving making sure that all of my movements caused my chest to wiggle and shake.

I sunk the stripe into the pocket on his side leaving the white ball idling next to where he stood. I took the long way around the table taking a sip from my glass as I went and brushed my butt against his leg as I passed him. He groaned and I felt my stomach tighten. He didn’t move an inch and he would be directly behind me if I bent down. I started to bend to see if he would move but he didn’t. I looked at him over my shoulder and his eyes met mine. They were blazing with something and it made me quiver. I raised an eyebrow in question, but he gave nothing away. With that I bent and felt my butt fall center to his crotch as I lined up for my shot. His hand fell on my hip and worked its way along my thigh slowly. I wiggled in response and his grip tightened and I felt him begin to grow behind me. He ground his hips into me and I moaned. My head fell forward as I enjoyed the delicious feelings he was causing in me.

“Take the shot.” His voice growled low.

I picked up my head and tried to concentrate. His other hand grabbed my other thigh and began rubbing until his fingers was massaging the inside of my thigh right next to my center. I rolled my hips against his and I heard him hiss.

“Take the shot.” He said again and I groaned.

“And if I make it?” I challenged him.

He leaned down and his entire front was plastered against my back. His breath fanned my ear and he spoke in a husky voice. “I’ll give you what you want.” It was a whispered promise that I wanted nothing more than for him to fulfill.
