I'm not even sure where to begin to talk about this book and the things that motivated me to write it. How do you explain what an impact a story has on oneself? This story is one so very special to me and I put a lot of time and tears and memories into writing it.

I’m surprised I never thought about writing it before. However, after a friend of mine came to me and presented a book idea to me, which has happened many times, immediately the story unfolded in my mind. I knew the exact story I wanted to tell. A story that I felt needed to be told. It is a story of finding yourself through young love and trying to maintain that love through all of life’s challenging obstacles, even death. This story is so very special to me because this story is loosely based around my own experiences with a boy I met on the beach so many years ago. I am truly honored to be able to share it with you.

The very first person I want to thank is Jeanette Hewett Butler. She was my constant companion while writing this book. When I got the idea for the book I made it my mission to find her to let her know my intentions because I knew it would mean so much to her. That was something that was very important to me, because it was a part of her life’s story as well. Little did I know how much I would gain by doing so. Unfortunately, my friend passed away recently and will never see this dream relived. She was an incredible person and one I will miss dearly.

I want to thank everyone in my corner that has stuck by me and continued to support me. My loving husband and daughter, I know this has all been a busy whirl wind of events and I am so thankful that both of you allow me to do what I have to do.

I want to thank my mother, Nancy Hager, and my mother in-law Candi Mancuso, who proof reads all of my work, as well as my beta reader Amber Clark. They make everything make sense, even to me.

I want to thank a new friend who had come into my life at just the right time, fellow author Devyn Dawson. She has showed me the path I need to be on and I am so thankful.

As always, thank you Limitless Publishing for working so hard to make my stories as wonderful as I think they are.

Last but not least, I want to thank my readers. You guys have been awesome and I wouldn’t be where I am without you. Thank you so much for all of your kind words.
