The house emptied, and Mom, Dad and I headed to our rooms. Once upstairs, I was too exhausted to even change clothes. I fell across the bed, face down. Something was poking me, and even in my exhausted state I knew I’d never be able to sleep with it there. I reached down inside my jacket pocket and removed the offender. It was the envelope that Donna had brought with Pellegrino’s medical information. Tired but still curious, I removed the sheets of paper and read them. After a moment I grabbed my cell phone and called Rosi. She and Donna and Greg had just left my house, and I knew they were all still together. Rosi answered on the first ring. “What’s up cuz? You miss us already?!” I almost screamed into the phone. “Guys! Your not gonna believe this. Pellegrino did have a vasectomy... but AFTER he had three kids! And get this... None of them have turned 15 yet! We’ve gotta find ‘em!”
