  Sinking back against the tub, she looked dazedly at Cade. “That was…”

  “Just the start.” He cupped her chin, his finger caressing her cheek. “Make love with me, Emma.”

  Although she yearned for his touch once more, she hesitated. He’d just given her the most incredible orgasm of her life but what if Cade didn’t like what he saw when she stepped out of the tub?

  Right now she was covered in bubbles. He’d only seen her in jeans and a t-shirt before. Would he still be attracted to her when he saw her nude for the first time?

  She guessed there was only one way to find out…

  Placing her hand in his, Emma slowly rose from the bubbles. Biting her lip, she stepped out of the tub, her eyes searching his face as he took in her wet, naked form.

  “You are a goddess,” he said hoarsely, taking in her generous breasts, the slight indentation of her waist, and her flared hips. Her nipples puckered under his heated gaze.

  Cade reached for a fluffy white towel and started to dry her, his eyes never leaving her figure. Her desire for him flared as he stroked the towel over every contour and clinging, popping bubble, as if she was the most desirable woman in the world.

  When he reached the valley between her thighs, his strokes grew even slower. “Cade,” she whispered, her delicate folds becoming damp once more.

  “You have no idea how much I want you,” he rasped, his fingers replacing the towel. He caressed her intimately, his fingers gliding to and fro along her silken folds and secret nub, until she clutched his shoulders for support.

  She hitched a breath, certain she was going to climax again in a few seconds if he didn’t stop.

  As though he read her thoughts, his hand trailed upward, grazing her waist before swinging her into his arms. He released the clip from her hair. “Soon, sweetheart,” he vowed, holding her as if he was never going to let her go.

  Emma clung to him as he strode out of the bathroom, arousal sparking and lighting a fire within her.

  “Which bedroom?” he asked huskily.

  She pointed to the second door on the left. “That’s mine.”

  Cade entered the pale blue and cream bedroom, gently placing her on the full size bed before loosening the towel around his waist.

  Emma’s eyes widened as she caught her first glimpse of his gloriously nude body - broad shoulders, well-muscled chest, slim hips, and a large, erect shaft.

  He joined her on the bed, covering her body with his. She felt his manhood against her soft flesh and took a shallow breath.

  “Have you got--”

  Awareness lit his eyes as he studied her face. His mouth claimed hers, and she wrapped her arms around his muscular back, almost forgetting her question.

  “Don’t move,” he finally growled, releasing her lips. She watched him stride out of the room, admiring his firmly muscled butt.

  His kiss had promised so much…

  She was about to make love with Cade Winters. The man she was falling in love with. Before she could process that thought, he reappeared, holding two small foil packets in his hand.

  “Two?”

  He grinned that cocky grin that had once infuriated her, but now she found sexy.

  “I used to be a boy scout.” He placed them on the rosewood nightstand next to the bed. Rejoining her on the bed, he traced the curve of her breast. “I don’t think I’ll ever get enough of you.” His lips followed his fingers, making her writhe with need. Cade kissed and laved each nipple, over and over, until she thought she was going to explode with pent-up arousal.

  “I need you,” she pleaded, clutching his shoulders.

  “I want it to be incredible for you,” he rasped, his lips trailing down her body until they reached her neatly trimmed mound.

  Her toes curled as his mouth explored her damp, throbbing folds. “It already is,” she gasped, hazily wondering if Cade could actually kill her with pleasure.

  His tongue left her sensitive nub just before she was on the edge of orgasm. Emma panted, not sure how much more exquisite teasing she could take.

  Cade’s lips feasted on her curves, until he reached her breasts once more. Brushing his tongue over each taut, pink nipple, he slanted his mouth over hers.

  “I need you now, Emma.” He looked deep into her eyes, his emotions stripped bare. She melted at the glittering raw hunger and tenderness.

  “Yes,” she murmured, parting her thighs.

  He grabbed one of the foil packets, ripping it open and deftly sheathing himself. Cade settled on top of her, nudging her thighs a little further apart. Kissing her possessively, he slowly thrust into her, his large shaft filling her slick heat, making her feel complete.

  “Hold onto me,” he commanded, surging all the way inside.

  Emma caught her breath as her arms stole around his back. Never in her wildest fantasies had she imagined making love with Cade to be so…spine-tingling. So…tantalizing.

  He drove into her, each thrust longer and harder than the last. She wrapped her legs around his waist, each pump of his hips giving her secret nub the friction it craved. Her arms tightened around his back as desire and need swirled and coalesced inside her until she cried out, spiraling into ecstasy.

  Cade surged into her again and again, groaning as he found his own satisfaction.

  Emma relished the feel of him in her arms, his shuddering body heavy on hers. Running her fingers along the rippling muscles of his back, she knew without a doubt that she’d just experienced the best sex of her life.

  She smiled to herself, knowing with total certainty she was in love with Cade Winters. If she hadn’t been quite sure before tonight, his wonderful lovemaking and the emotions she’d felt made her certain of her feelings. But was it too soon to tell him?

  Cade kissed her shoulder, then slowly moved off her, anchoring her to his side. His breath fanned her cheek as he looked deep into her eyes. Emma wondered if the warmth and passion she saw in his eyes were mirrored in her own.

  “I knew it would be like this,” he said with lazy satisfaction, running his hands along her body until her desire stirred anew.

  “Did you?” She raised herself on one elbow to look at him enquiringly.

  “From the first moment I met you,” he admitted, taking her lips in a slow, sweet kiss that almost made her forget how to breathe.

  Cade urged her back down on the bed, kissing her curves reverently. She wound her arms around his neck, wondering if now was the right time to confess her love for him.

  A mischievous thought struck her and she laughed silently to herself. “Missed a spot,” she whispered, pointing to her lips.

  A grin escaped his lips. “Let me fix that.” His mouth snared hers in a kiss that told her in no uncertain terms what his feelings were.

  Finally releasing her lips, he cupped her face in his hands. “Emma.” His tone became serious. “I’m in love with you.”

  Her heart pounded. “I’m in love with you, too.” Joy lit her smile as she gazed up at him.

  Relief crossed his features. “If you didn’t feel the same way, I would have waited.” He chuckled wryly. “Heck, I would have worn you down with my persistence.”

  “Oh? What would you have done?” She stroked the nape of his neck.

  “Made love to you every time I saw you.” He kissed the top of each breast.

  “You mean you’re not going to do that now?” She mock-pouted.

  “Don’t worry, I’m going to do that all right,” he vowed, his hands and lips showing her in no uncertain terms just how much he loved and desired her.

  “Good,” she whispered, when she was able to draw a breath.

  “Sweetheart, I’ll do everything I can to make you happy - always,” he murmured, claiming her with a kiss.

  “I’ll make sure you do.” She returned his kiss, knowing this was the man she wanted to spend the rest of her life with.

  EPILOGUE

  Two years later…

  Cade whooped with pride as Emma and P
irate left the ring. First in the barrel racing two years in a row at the Coldwater Springs rodeo. He hurried over to the gate to congratulate his wife.

  Emma grinned at him, waving her blue ribbon. “We did it!”

  He patted Pirate’s neck and held out a hand to her. “You sure did.” She swung off the horse and into his arms. “I love you.” He looked down into her flushed face.

  “I love you, too.” Before she could barely murmur the words, his lips descended on hers.

  People and horses walked by, a gentle breeze carried the scent of horses and dirt, but Cade scarcely noticed. After a year of marriage, he still felt as if he were on his honeymoon. And he knew he always would.

  “Congratulations, Emma!” Libby’s perky voice filtered through, and he reluctantly released his wife’s lips.

  “Thanks, Libby.” Emma grinned at her friend, tucking back a strand of hair that had escaped her neat braid.

  “Congratulations,” Sarah and Cassie chorused, coming up behind Libby.

  “Thanks.” Emma scratched Pirate behind his ears.

  “You were awesome too, Pirate.” Libby patted the chestnut quarter horse. Pirate whickered, as if in agreement.

  “Did your parents see you?” Cassie enquired.

  “Yep. I think they cheered the loudest.”

  “Not as loud as me.” Cade slipped his arm around his wife’s waist and dropped a kiss on her hair.

  Emma’s parents had decided a Florida summer was too hot, and elected to spend the summers in Coldwater and the rest of the year down south. He had installed Emma at his ranch just before their wedding, and her parents allowed them the use of their ranch for grazing and Emma‘s stud farm. They truly had the best of both worlds, including the fact that his in-laws approved of him.

  Sarah chuckled as she looked over her shoulder. “Here come our husbands.” Chase McCord, Sheriff Jake Morgan, and Luke Jackson approached the group.

  “I’m so glad you told me about the job at the library, Sarah.” Libby smiled impishly at her cousin, reaching up to kiss her husband Jake on the lips.

  “And I’m glad my car broke down here three years ago,” Cassie added, looking adoringly at her husband Luke.

  “And I’m glad I lost my job in Laramie and had to come back here to teach.” Sarah giggled as Chase wrapped his arms around his wife.

  “And I’m glad Cade decided to move here and train Bernie’s horse.” Emma gave him a loving smile.

  “Not as much as me,” Cade whispered in her ear, trying to figure out when he could get her alone so he could show her just how very glad and grateful he was. He would never tire of telling and showing Emma exactly how much he loved her, and knew he would continue to do so for the rest of his life.
