Family: The Club Girl Diaries Book 5

Kit wasted no time though, kneeling at the edge of the sofa and thrusting inside me. He pulled my knees over his shoulder, as he gripped my hips in his hands and used my body like his own personal toy. “Damn it, you’re so wet and tight. Can still feel your orgasm pulsing inside you. Jesus,” he groaned, clenching his teeth.
The rush of sensations already had a new wave building in its depths. His hand reached out and with his fingers he tweaked my nipple, causing my body to jolt. “Again,” I pleaded, as his thrusts slowly started to increase, knowing that it wouldn’t take long for him to explode inside me.
He smirked, gripping my hip tightly with his other hand as he pounded at my slick pussy and took my nipple in his fingers again. This time he held it there, pinching it and slowly pulling it further and further.
“Oh shit, Kit!” The flash hit me unexpectedly, my hips unconsciously lifting off the sofa.
“Fuck! Coming!” he growled, forcing his body over mine and pressing my knees to my chest as he bent me in half. He’d drawn the air from my lungs and I was floating through a pleasure-filled haze.
“Damn, Harm,” Kit cursed as he pulled out of me, his come instantly dripping down the crack of my ass and onto the floor. “Stay there, I’ll clean you up,” he said softly, pressing a kiss to the back of my thigh before ducking into the bathroom and coming back with a warm wet washcloth.
I shuddered as he wiped it over me, cleaning away the mess he’d made before helping me to my unsteady feet.
We got dressed and Kit grabbed the files off the desk before leading me to the couch. I’d already looked through them and picked out in my mind which ones I thought would fit us. Cuddling in under his arm, I opened the first one, smiling when I realized that she was one of my picks too. She was young, outgoing, had a love of music and was a midwife. I think not only did I feel like the music could be a connection between us, but that because she was a midwife, I felt my baby would be safer with her.
She knew the signs when something’s wrong, and she had the knowledge and ability to check on the baby when necessary. Everything inside me told me she was something special.
“Yes,” I said, closing the file and handing it back to him. “Yes. Yes. Yes.”
He chuckled softly. “Knew she would be on your list. Got a good vibe from the way she wrote about herself. Confident but humble.”
I nodded in total agreement. “We can get Lisa to set up a meeting with her if she likes us too, and see how she reacts to you.”
Kit chuckled. “You think she might run for the hills?”
“Or be all over you like a bad rash,” I grumbled, screwing up my nose.
If I’d discovered anything during my time with the Brothers, it was that the majority of women had two reactions to the boys. Either, instant love with the bad boy image, or back away slowly in horror.
“What about this one?” He handed me the second file he’d brought up with him.
I looked it over. It wasn’t one of my choices, but there were some good points. Young, already had a daughter, which she’d raised on her own as a single mom. It said she had worked with kids from bad homes, helping them find their feet and get jobs and also coached sports like track and field and girls’ soccer, which told me she was athletic.
“Takes a lot to be a single parent and still make time to help others,” Kit commented as we looked through the information. “And it says that she’s also been a surrogate before.”
That was encouraging. She obviously was a strong woman and knew what she was doing. And given that one of my fears was that whoever we chose would possibly back out or take off or not look after themselves properly, someone who had already been in this situation and had no issues surely was a bonus.
“Yeah, that’s comforting,” I agreed. “Okay so let’s start with these two. I think just two at a time. We don’t want to overwhelm ourselves.”
Kit pressed a soft kiss to the top of my head. “Done. We’ll find the right one. I have no doubts that we will know in our gut when we meet her.”
I sighed, tucking myself in closer to him and resting my head on his chest. “Yeah, we will know.”
It took a week for Lisa to get back to us, but when she did, it was great news.
The midwife had agreed to meet with us, and Lisa said she was very excited after going through our profile. It was early days, but things were looking positive.
The ride to Montgomery felt like it took even longer than usual. My stomach turned the whole way, several times I even wondered whether I would have to tell Kit to pull over so I could release its contents all over the side of the road. However, I swallowed back the bile that rose and held tighter to my man.
I had to keep reminding myself that no matter what happened, if this woman wasn’t the one for us, then we could keep looking. This wasn’t the end. It was the beginning of something great.
Lisa did say that our second choice, the single mom, had also agreed enthusiastically to meet us. So if things didn’t work out today or we were unsure, then we would just move on.
I wouldn’t settle for anyone less than perfect. I knew that in my heart and Kit felt it too. We were both sure that when we met them, we would know. It was somewhat like going on a first date. Except if five months down the line, they turned out to be crazy, we couldn’t just dump them and walk away. They would be carrying our child, and it would be relying on them for nutrients and strength to build their tiny body. If there was any question in our mind that they weren’t the one, then we would walk away and know that it just wasn’t time yet.
As we reached the edge of the city, Kit turned off to the left, the gang of bikes that trailed behind us following in formation. This was us, this was our family. Take it or leave it. We had decided at the beginning of this that we wanted to be completely immersed in the pregnancy. We wanted them to be a part of our lives during and even after the birth if that’s what they wanted.
The club could be scary when taken at face value. It was full of tattooed, bearded, muscular men who had a constant resting bitch face. They could be intimidating, and for some even scary, but they were also fiercely protective and loyal to the ones they loved. If this person couldn’t accept and embrace my family, I wouldn’t feel safe having them look after my child.
Kit began to slow the bike. I looked over his shoulder spotting Lisa standing just up the road next to her car. Her eyes widened for a split second, but she raised her hand and waved.
We pulled up next to the curb with the six bikes behind us following suit. I didn’t move as kit switched the engine off, continuing to latch onto his body. He tapped my hands where they were linked around his waist, but I shook my head and pressed my forehead against his back.
“Harmony, you’re gonna have to get off.”
“Nope,” I said simply, afraid that if I moved I might actually vomit.
“Tally!” Kit called out and I clutched onto him tighter. I was scared. Scared to get my hopes up that this might be it, this might be the day we set in stone our future. Although I was scared to think that too, because what if it wasn’t. What if I went home once again feeling like I’d lost the opportunity to have a child just like I had those months ago when I’d found out about the pregnancies.
Two arms came around me from behind as Kit’s hands grabbed mine and pulled them apart.
“Off we go,” Tally said as he hoisted me off the back of the bike, holding me around the waist. “Time to face the music, Harm.” He chuckled as he placed my feet on the ground.
Lisa watched on cautiously as I took my helmet off and slammed it against Kit’s chest. He only laughed.
“I was getting there,” I told him with a sharp glare.
“Yeah, I’m sure you were.”
“How are we feeling today?” Lisa asked when she finally made her way over to us. She smiled at me. “A little nervous?”
Clearing my throat, I answered, “Maybe a little.”
Her head bobbed up and down. “It’s very normal, Harmony. You’re lo
oking for someone to help you to create a life. You have certain expectations, and I’m sure she does too. You just have to remember that if this isn’t the one, then that’s okay.”
But I desperately wanted this to be the one. I could tell Kit was nervous too, as he continuously swiped his hand through his hair. I didn’t want to have to do this over and over again until we finally found someone who we’d mesh with. The nerves, the anticipation, the doubts, they were all in the forefront of my mind. The reality was, though, I would do it again. I would do it forever until we found someone who we felt was our match.
“Can we do this?” Kit grumbled, stepping forward and helping me remove my leather jacket before taking my hand.
“Absolutely, she’s inside waiting,” Lisa chirped, turning and leading the way up the path.
There were murmurs of good luck from the boys behind us as we walked up the short path to the front door.
The house was well looked after, small but resembled a real home, a family home. I admired the wooden floors as we stepped through the entranceway and down a short hall. There were photographs lining the walls, but they passed by in a blur and soon we stepped into an open living area. Lisa stepped to the side and Kit and I both pulled to a stop as we spotted the woman standing across the room.
She was younger than I’d expected, most likely only the same age as me. Rich chocolate brown hair hung over her shoulder in a plait. She was dressed casually in a pair of jean shorts and a T-shirt.
“Harmony and Kit, this is Kaci,” Lisa introduced happily, her eyes moving between us.
Kaci came forward, holding out her hand to me with a soft smile.
I took a deep breath and stepped toward her, taking her hand in mine. “It’s nice to meet you,” I said quietly, unsure of where my voice had gone.
Up close, I could see the beautiful color of her eyes. They were a mixture of green and hazel, a different but stunning color that somehow made me feel warm.
“It’s great to meet you, too.”
Her gaze turned to Kit but he simply lifted his chin in greeting. “Good to meet you.”
Lisa placed her bag on the coffee table in the center of the room. “All right, let’s all have a seat shall we, and get started.” She pulled out some documents and a notebook with a pen before settling into an armchair and gesturing for us all to take a seat.
Kaci sat back on the sofa, while I sat in another single chair with Kit standing at my side. I rolled my eyes at his alpha male take-no-shit act, but Kaci so far seemed unfazed by it.
“Harmony and Kit, why don’t you tell Kaci a little about yourselves?” Lisa prompted with a smile.
Kit cleared his throat and I knew he was about to get straight to the point. “I’m the President of a motorcycle club.”
“The Brothers by Blood,” Kaci said with a small smirk. “I can see that.” Her tone was amused as she eyed his club cut.
A smile touched the corner of my mouth. “What Kit is trying to say is…” I started, rolling my eyes when he glared down at me, “… the club is our family. It’s a big, beautiful, often dysfunctional family, but it’s a part of us. And before we go any further, we need you to understand that.”
The butterflies that had been creating a soft breeze in my stomach, now felt like they were building a tornado as I waited for her response. We weren’t about to beat around the bush. Some people couldn’t handle bikers and I understood that, but we weren’t about to pretend we were something we’re not in order to get her to have our child.
I sat a little straighter when Kaci giggled. “Isn’t that exactly what a family should be? I mean, my brother was sleeping with my uncle’s wife, so if that isn’t the definition of dysfunctional, I’m not sure what is.”
Laughter fell from my mouth unexpectedly, and I looked up at Kit who couldn’t hide the smirk on his lips.
“Bet your uncle wasn’t happy about that.” Kit chuckled.
Kaci shook her head. “My brother got the beating of his life. Shoulda kept his dick in his pants.”
Lisa cleared her throat, obviously a little uncomfortable with the conversation. “Um… Kaci, how ‘bout you tell them about you and why you chose surrogacy.”
Kaci was clearly amused at Lisa’s discomfort but nodded. “I’m from Ohio. Small town, small family. Came to Montgomery when I was eighteen to study to be a midwife.”
“Why Alabama?” Kit asked.
Kaci shrugged. “I like cowboys.”
I laughed. “That was basically my reason for moving to Alabama. Then I ended up with this lot.” I threw my thumb toward Kit.
“Save a bike, ride a biker?” She chuckled and I joined her.
“Something like that.”
She placed her hands on her lap. “Basically, I love children. When I was about sixteen, I got pregnant. I chose to adopt my baby out. I don’t have an open adoption with the family, but they do send me updates on him through the adoption agency and he’s doing amazing.”
My heart went out to her. “That must have been a hard decision to make.”
She gave me a tight smile. “It was, but I know it was the best decision for the both of us at the time and I don’t regret it. Not only did I give him a life that I would’ve never been able to, but I gave a family who were told they could never have children… a son.”
I looked up at Kit. I could see the understanding and respect in his eyes. She had put her child first, knowing that there were things he needed that she simply wouldn’t be able to provide. It showed she was selfless and willing to put another life before her own.
“So why surrogacy?” Kit asked curiously. “You’ve already given up one baby. Do you think you could really handle doing it again?”
Kaci sat forward in her seat. “Being a midwife for the last few years has really given me an insight, I think. Every time I help deliver a child, I get to see the joy and elation on the parents’ faces, and feel just how much that little baby will be loved and cherished.” I could see the tears shining in her eyes as she spoke so passionately about her job. It struck a chord inside me and I felt tears begin to well. “Some people take having children for granted. But when I see two people with that much love to share, who are unable to have that, I can’t help but want to do whatever is in my power to give them that.”
I sniffed and Kit placed his hand on my shoulder, giving it a silent squeeze in support.
Kaci watched the gesture with a soft smile. “I know that it’s hard to think that someone else will be responsible for giving your baby everything it needs to grow and be born healthy. But I would protect and care for that child like it was my own.”
My heart soared. I knew she understood my fears and trepidation. She felt my pain and it was strange to say, but deep down I really felt like she knew Kit and me, and saw how much this baby would be cared for.
“To me, this wouldn’t be giving up a child,” she continued, looking me directly in the eye. “This would be giving you both a child. One that, by the sounds of it, would have the biggest, most protective and probably overbearing family known to man.”
“Understatement,” Kit snorted. I leaned my head against his hand and couldn’t help but smile through my tears.
We talked for a long time about her family back home, her life here in Montgomery. Kaci was sweet, understanding and cheeky, someone who I could see being a close friend of mine even without this situation. I fell in love with her and the ease in which she made me feel.
Kit and I spoke about ourselves, our history with the club and our backgrounds. Kaci listened intently, not even flinching when I told her I was originally a club girl.
She shrugged. “You gotta do what you gotta do. I can’t judge, I’ve had enough one-night stands to last me a lifetime. Least you know where these boys have had their bits.”
I snorted out a laugh.
Kit squeezed my shoulder and I tilted my head to look up at him. Our eyes met in silent question and I nodded, knowing just what he was asking.
&
nbsp; The corner of his mouth had twitched before he turned his attention back to Kaci. “Would you be willing to move closer to us during it all if we rent you an apartment?”
I turned back to Kaci who nodded. “Yeah, of course.”
“This is my baby, so you follow my rules. You let us help. You let my men help. We need you to come into the clubhouse for some reason… you don’t fight me. You want food in the middle of the night, you call my boys and they’ll get it.”
I rolled my eyes and tried not to laugh as Kit laid down his laws.
“No smoking, no drinking, no sex with strange men.”
“Kit!” I admonished.
“Scratch that, no sex full stop,” he gruffed.
Kaci looked to me, her face full of amusement. “Girl…”
I snorted. “You ain’t seen the half of it.”
“You know…” she mused innocently, “… women can get really horny during pregnancy. And I saw all the man candy you pulled up with outside.” She wiggled her eyebrows.
Kit groaned as I smothered a giggle, seeing the playfulness in Kaci’s face.
“You ain’t gonna make this easy on me, are you?” Kit growled, folding his arms across his chest. I pushed out of the chair and went to his side, wrapping mine around his waist and attempting to calm the beast.
Kaci flashed a grin. “If I’m gonna be an easy bake oven for nine months, with what sounds like the curfew of a teenage girl, I’m gonna need to entertain myself somehow.”
“Jesus Christ,” Kit moaned, dropping his head back as if he was praying to God.
Hugging him tightly, I walked over to her and dropped down next to her on the sofa. “I think you’ll fit in just fine. Welcome to the family.”
Kaci’s face lit up and she threw her arms around me. We both laughed as we rocked back and forth. “So you’re in?” I asked nervously as I pulled back.
“You had me at dysfunctional,” she said with a wink.
“Wow!” Lisa blew out as she watched on in amazement. “So that’s that?”
Kit answered, “Cancel the other girl.”
“We’re gonna have a baby,” I whispered, almost in shock, looking over at Kit.
