LOVER FOR PAY: The Escort & The Teacher (M/M)

by A. J. Blake

“Fuck, fuck, fuck!” he repeated, “I can’t believe this!”

It was now Friday and he was supposed to be driving his brother to school and getting his sister ready for daycare. He hadn’t even looked at the time yet, but by the light of the sun shining through the window across from the bed, it wasn’t hard to tell it was morning.

After grabbing his money and making sure he had his keys, London darted from the hotel room, almost slamming into the housekeeper about to knock on the door. “Sorry,” he apologized, and continued down the hall, sprinting as fast as he could. Not bothering to take the elevator, he took the stairs instead, the sound of his boots hard on the steps as he ran down them. Once he was in the lobby, London checked his cellphone, and sure enough he had three missed calls from Henry. He called back.

“Dude, where the hell are you?” his kid brother demanded.

“Hey,” London said, out of breath as he searched for his car in the parking lot. “Watch your tone with me. I’m on my way home right now, it was a late night. I’m sorry.”

“Yeah, sure,” Henry sounded agitated, “When are you getting here? Joyce keeps asking where you are, and you’re the only one who she’ll let take her a bath.”

“I’m in the car right now,” London said, shoving the key in the ignition and floored onto the main road. “Just make some breakfast for both of you and I’ll be there in a minute.”

“Fine,” and then Henry hung up.

Trying his best to obey the traffic laws, London made it home in less than fifteen minutes. He lived in his father’s old house, the property becoming his after the man was locked up. He only preferred living in the place since it was paid off already and it was a place Henry and Joyce were used to. London would have moved them somewhere else outside of Anavrin, Texas if he wasn’t being so closely watched by child protective services.

It was a house well-ordered and still looked as it did when he was younger, the dark green paint still looked freshly coated, the brown tiles on the roof were intact and everything ran smoothly. The only problem the house ever had was that the electric garage door never opened. London always hated that his father would care for the house better than he ever took care of his family, and praised the man was locked up and far away from his siblings now. He was able to live and grow up with TJ Dawncraft, but neither Henry nor Joyce needed the harsh upbringing in their childhood. Then again, Henry had lived through that sting alone for seven years until his elder brother returned, but there was nothing for Joyce to remember since she’d been two-years-old when the man was locked away.

Bursting through the front door, London caught Henry chancing a screaming Joyce around the living room. The tiny girl with messy red hair like their grandmother was running around the couch and recliner in nothing but purple socks, Henry trying his hardest to cut her off around the coffee table.

  “What’s going on here?”

At the sound of their brother’s voice, the two stopped and Joyce’s chubby face lit up. She dashed for London with her arms open, and said, “Henry no catch me!”

“I see that, little girl,” he tickled her ribs and she giggled, “But I’ve got you now, and I think it’s time for a bath!”

  “Yay!”

Henry crossed his arms over his chest and glared at his elder brother. The boy was a perfect mixture of their mother and father, the sleekness of his mother’s black hair, as well as her slim nose, and the square sharpness of his father’s facial structure. Scowling at London, Henry said, “I’m gonna be late to school because of you.”

Taking Joyce to the bathroom with him, London started the warm water and sat his sister inside. “Oh, because you don’t skip first period all the time anyway. Remind me how many more absences you can get before you fail for the year.”

The sixteen-year-old stood in the door frame, “What were you doing out so late anyway? You always come home. Were you out fuckin’ chicks left and right?”

“Hey!” London snapped at him, lathering up a sponge to wash Joyce, “You watch your mouth around your sister. I was working late, okay. Go get your stuff ready and we’ll leave in fifteen minutes.”

When Henry left, Joyce splashed about and dabbed a handful of bubbles on London’s nose. “Henry mean,” she said.

“Yeah, but he probably has every right to be.”

After being able to take a quick shower of his own, London finally had his family ready for the day. As usual, he dropped Joyce off at daycare in the city, having to calm her like every other time, because she never liked to see him go. Once that was done, he drove Henry to school. The boy got out without a word and was about to close the door until London called him, “I’m coming by after school to speak to your teacher for that conference.”

“I know,” Henry sighed turning his back, “Just try not to be late...”

  “Love you, too...”

London worked at an antique shop on the edge of the city. Not the most glamorous job in the world, but it was something to keep him busy and the cash was pretty nice given he’d been promoted to co-manager. A few more thousand dollars and he’d be able to afford a house in a much better neighborhood, and one where he could give his brother and sister a better place to call home. Henry already had a childhood full of bad memories from their past, but Joyce could start fresh for sure. Since she hadn’t been cared for properly by their mother or father when London was gone, the little girl had trouble speaking and wasn’t as developed like most four-year-olds. Now that London was more of a father to her than anyone, his goal was to make sure she grew up without the effects of being partially neglected for the first part of her life.

His shift at the shop lasted as long as a full school day and he was able to make it back to the high school after it let out. When he got his campus pass, he spotted Henry standing outside the main office building with an exhausted look on his face. “Why the long face?” London called to him.

The teenager just turned around and started towards the math wing of the school. “I just know all this teacher’s gonna do is shit talk me. He’s new here anyway. I don’t like him.”

“Maybe if you learned how not to disrespect your teachers right away, 1) you wouldn’t get detention all the time, and 2) I don’t know, maybe they’d respect you, too.”

Kids stared at London as he followed his brother like most people did. They admired his good looks at once, and were always captivated by the body art covering his arms and neck. When they made it to the classroom on the second floor, Henry stopped and sat down outside across the door on a bench. “I’ll wait here,” he said.

London shook his head, a bit disappointed at his brother and stepped into the classroom. There was a man at the head of the room wiping down the white dry erase board. “I’m here for a conference,” he said, “For Henry Dawncraft.”

The moment the teacher turned around, London felt a weight drop into the pit of his stomach. Marbell Matthews stood there with an equally shocked expression on his clean shaven face. The two stared each other down until London cleared his throat awkwardly, “You - you’re my brother’s teacher?”

Marbell adjusted his glasses on the bridge of his nose, “You’re Mister Dawncraft’s brother?”

  “I mean; I wouldn’t be here if I wasn’t. You’re seriously a teacher!?”

“Keep your voice down,” Marbell whispered. He placed his hands on his hips and shook his head, “Dear, god, what the fuck?”

London neared the front of the class and leaned back against a bookshelf with calculators and textbooks. “I can’t believe I fucked my brother’s teacher last night.”

“First off,” Marbell said, “I fucked you, and it wasn’t the other way around. Secondly, I don’t think we can have this conference anymore and I think you should go.”

“Whoa, whoa, whoa,” London pushed off the shelf, “Last night doesn’t change the fact that I had to be here, because my brother is being a little dick in class. You requested a meeting with his guardian, and here I am
to listen. Forget about what went on between us hours ago and focus.” London sat down at one of the tables in front of the teacher’s desk. “Go on.”

Marbell gazed down at London from over the rim of his glasses. The only things running through his head at the time were the way London had sounded last night calling him “Daddy” and how beautiful he’d looked sprawled there across the bed after being fucked. With a sigh, he tried to rid of the thoughts and gathered up a stack of papers on his desk.

Coming around the desk, he dropped to stack in front of London. “These are Henry’s worksheets from over the past week and a half.”

London flipped through them, rutting his brow in confusion. “There’s nothing written on these.”

“Exactly,” Marbell said, “Your brother comes to class merely for the attendance grade, and then doesn’t put in an ounce of effort when it comes to his work. As you can see, he doesn’t even bother to write his name down to show that he acknowledged it. Now, I am willing to open my heart and give him a chance to redo all of these assignments for nothing higher than a seventy, and he has until next Wednesday to complete the test he pushed aside today.”

“Dammit, Henry,” London said under his breath, “I don’t know what’s wrong with that boy. Does he mouth off?”

“Constantly. I’m trying my hardest not to send him to lunch detention every day, and I’ve abstained from calling his guardian, thinking maybe life is just rough, but he is really forcing my hand. If Henry doesn’t get it together soon, I will have no choice but to fail him.”

London sighed, “Don’t fail my brother, I’ll get him to do all this work over the weekend. He’s probably just going through something he hasn’t told me about. Don’t lose faith in him.”

“Oh, trust me,” Marbell said, he was sitting back on the surface of his desk, quite thin arms down at his sides, while his hands sat tucked in the pockets of his slacks. “I have faith in every single one of my students. I’ve stayed long after school has let out to help those who request it. I’ve even offered to help Henry. I want him to pass just as much as I want everyone else to. He just needs to get his head in the right place.”

“I get it,” London nodded, “Just go easy on him, unlike you did with me last night.”

Marbell sucked in a quick breath of air, “I – I didn’t hurt you, did I?”

London smiled cheekily, “No, but my ass is still a bit sore. Will you be a regular of mine?”

“Can we not talk about this on campus?”

“It’s just a question. I like to get comfortable with all my regulars. Makes sex more enjoyable when you actually like the other’s company.”

Marbell started across the room slowly, headed to a tall cabinet behind the rows of tables. “I haven’t decided yet.” He opened the cabinet door and pulled out a folder and calculator. When he turned around, London was standing directly behind him, towering over the man by a few inches.

“I enjoyed your company last night, Daddy. You left me so satisfied I passed out the second you left.” Without restraint, London cupped his hand at Marbell’s crotch, and rubbed his touch along the inner outline of the man’s cock. “Maybe sometime you’ll arrange to see me again?”

Feeling the heat inside him grow, Marbell quickly snatched London’s hand away and shoved the folder and calculator against him. “You’re lucky the classroom door doesn’t have a window or I’d have slapped you.”

“But you didn’t,” London smirked. “Are you wearing another g-string? I thought that was pretty sexy.”

Marbell moved by him, “I don’t know, am I?” he said sarcastically.

Out of nowhere, the back of Marbell’s shirt was seized by a tight grasp and he was pulled back, his bottom slamming into London’s groin. Flustered from the inside out, Marbell let it be, his hands finding the top of a nearby desk as London’s hands stroked along his waist, fingers inching into the front of his pants. There were two things London became sure of in that moment. Those being, Marbell was definitely wearing another g-string, and there was no way last night was going to be the last time they spent alone time together.

Pushing himself back into London’s groin, Marbell moaned quietly, “If we weren’t in this classroom right now…”

London couldn’t help a smile, “You’d pay to fuck again?”

Marbell turned in London’s hands, “Are you booked tonight? I have to see you tonight. I’ll even pay extra.”

The desperation in Marbell’s voice was clear, and London took it as a compliment. “I actually have a client tonight. You’ll have to wait.”

  “How much is he paying?”

“She is paying ten grand. I’ve got myself a bit of a sugar momma.”

“I’ll give you thirty,” Marbell said sternly.

For a second London wondered where the heck this man was getting so much money to pay for a thirty-thousand-dollar night, when last night London had settled for fifteen hundred. But there was no way he was going to pass up the offer of being paid thirty grand. “You’ve got yourself a date, then. Same place?”

“No, I’ll text you the address.” Pushing a bit away from London, Marbell added, “Now, go before I lose my mind over you.”

Feeling his ego skyrocket, London smirked knowingly and moved for the classroom door. Henry was sitting in the same spot as before, and looked up at his brother in dejection. “Am I in trouble for life?” he asked.

“No,” London tried to hide his inner giddiness, “but you sure as hell have a ton of homework.”

  III – Stop

London was eating dinner with Henry and Joyce when his cellphone vibrated on the table. It was the one person he’d been waiting for a text from all evening. Marbell. He glanced at the lit screen and read:Hotel Floral, room 227 10:00pm. Scribbling in the time and location in his mental notebook, London finished dinner with his family and then got started on the dishes.

As he stood before the sink with his hands dipped in warm soapy water, he couldn’t stop himself from thinking about what the session with Marbell was going to be like tonight. After cancelling on his previously scheduled client, he kind of hoped the night with Marbell went nicely since he’d called off a high paying woman. Besides, she’d been excited to spend time with him and hadn’t even wanted sex. All she wanted was company, a hot, rugged young man on her arm to show off to all her rich friends.

“Going to work tonight?” Henry asked from across the kitchen.

London dried his hands off with a rag and nodded, “I’ll be back in the morning, though.”

  “Sure, you will.”

“Hey,” London gave his younger brother a look, “Stop focusing on me and worry about all that shit you got to get done over the weekend. This is the last chance your teacher is giving you to shape up.”

Henry scoffed, “Whatever, man what the fuck am I going to do with a lousy diploma anyway?”

London couldn’t believe what his brother was saying, “What is wrong with you? Why do you suddenly hate everything so goddamn much? Have I done something to piss you off that I don’t know about?”

“It doesn’t matter, you’re never here anyway.”

  “Now you listen here–.”

“Oh, what are you? My dad?” Henry turned his back on London and started for the living room, “How about you stop trying to act like a parent, and start acting like a brother again? Wait, you forgot how to do that years ago.”

London’s blood boiled for an instant and he stormed after Henry, “You know damn well that’s not true, and you think I don’t know I’m not your dad? I fucking know that, but you know something else that I think you seem to be forgetting all the time. Our father is a goddamn murderer. That monster didn’t give two shits about his family, or anyone else for that matter, when he was carving those innocent people to pieces. Would you much rather have him here than me?”

Henry burst, whipping around to face his brother with fire nearly blazing in his dark colored eyes. “You were never here when he was, anywa
y!?” he screamed. “How could you know what my life was like when you just left me behind the way you did? The only reason mom turned back to drugs over and over was because no one was here to protect her from dad! What was I supposed to do with a druggie for a mother, and an abusive asshole for a father? And on top of that, Joyce was only an infant! I was eleven when you ditched me, idiot, so excuse me for hating your guts sometimes. You only came back when he was already gone!”

London was at a loss for words. He would have replied if he’d known what to say, but everything was true and he had no way to counter.

Joyce appeared in the archway of the kitchen in a nightgown, rubbing her tired eyes and she tugged at her eldest brother’s pants. “I’m sleepy,” she said.

With a huff, Henry went to his room and slammed the door.

Picking Joyce into his arms, London kissed her bright red hair, and said, “Bedtime.” He carried the little one to her room and laid her in bed, sitting on the floor beside her as he did sometimes so she could fall asleep.

London wanted to be upset at his brother for bringing up the past, but it would never be something they, as a family, could escape. He liked to think leaving their house at just the age of sixteen had been a good choice at the time. His childhood with their father had been the worst of it. There hadn’t been a day that their Old Man didn’t emotionally or physically abuse him after the age of four. They’d never had an even ‘okay’ relationship, so when London finally found a way to get away from him, he did.

And he regretted it. But what could he have done to protect his family and himself from their Old Man? He himself hadn’t been that strong and had already been so terrified. If anything, standing up to TJ Dawncraft could have literally led to an early death.

After Joyce was asleep, he kissed her soft head and left the room, making sure to leave the door cracked for the hall light. When he glanced at the time, it was about then he could begin heading out for his second session with Marbell.

  Thirty-thousand dollars…
