“Look at you” I say, trailing my eyes down to where I can see a bit of her cleavage before lifting my eyes back to hers. “You look beautiful” I add before she tiptoes to plant a kiss on my lips.

  “Thank you.” She says.

I look at her beautiful eyes and I somehow get lost in them and everything in me comes to life, my dick going from soft to hard in a second. I’ve met so many women in my life but none have ever made me have such a reaction but with Hope, she makes things all new to me. She makes me come alive and everything in me magnifies.

“Are you going to keep on gawking at me or what?” she asks, snapping me back to reality.

“Your beauty is enough to have someone like me lose themselves” I smirk at her. She shakes her head smiling before rounding towards the passenger side and letting herself in as she closes the door. I lean to kiss her as I buckle her up and her scent hits my nostrils hard and I swear I want to bury my head in her neck as I breathe her in.

“You smell heavenly” I find myself saying, inhaling her scent. This time it’s not the usual strawberry and baby oil I’m used to, its strawberry and something else I can’t put my finger on. But whatever it is, it makes me want to trail my tongue all over her body and taste her.

“Thank you.” She says shyly and I kiss her again, this time prolonging the kiss before nipping on her lower lip leaving us to catch our breath when I break the kiss. “You know,” she clears her throat. “Sometimes you kiss me like you’ll never kiss me again” she whispers between our lips.

I pretend to think about it even when I know I kiss her because I can’t get enough of her. “It seems I can’t get enough of your delicious lips” I say.

“I should have known you were trouble that first time.” She teases as she winks at me.

“Really? Why don’t I show you what sort of trouble I am later?” I tease back winking at her.

“That’s not going to happen, Mr. Smith.” She giggles.

“We’ll see.” That’s the last word I say before starting the car and heading to my favorite coffee shop that is owned by Tanya, Marks best friend since they were young. I secure a parking slot and park the car as I unbuckle my seatbelt so I can get out of the car and walk towards her side and help her out.

We walk hand in hand, linking our fingers as we enter the coffee shop. This is the first time in five years I’m out in public, holding hands with a woman and she’s not just any other woman. She’s the woman my heart beats for. It won’t be long before the internet floods with pictures of us together making up stories that will capture the headline.

I push the thought aside as I open the door for Hope so she can walk in before me, not letting go of our linked hands as we walk inside to secure a table. A waiter approaches our table and I rumble what I want to have since I take the same thing every time I come here when I’m running late and haven’t had breakfast at home. I have ordered the full traditional breakfast as I wait for Hope to decide on what she’s having.

“I’ll have whatever he’s having” she says closing the menu and meeting my gaze. God, I’ll never tire of looking at these gorgeous eyes of hers.

“Coffee or tea?” the waiter asks.

“Coffee.” We both say, our eyes never looking at the waiter when we answer him. I wish I can tell what her little beautiful mind is thinking about when her eyes go all bright like the morning sun ready to shine upon my life.

  “What?” she blushes.

“Just admiring you.” I honestly say. I can’t seem to get enough of her and at this moment, what I feel tends to magnify itself to something that has my heart doing some flip-flops and wishing to have known this woman a few years back but well, everything happens for a reason.

“Uh” she emits, shaking her head as she nips on her lower lip.

“Your beauty is something that will take me a lifetime to get used to” I say reaching out to take her hand that is on the table and rubbing her soft skin with my thumb. “You have no idea what you do to me Hope.” When I’m with her I tend to have all these feelings I can’t fathom.

  “I’m all ears.”

“Ever since that first day I saw you on that stage, I knew I had to know you only that I didn’t know it would be so soon and when my brothers paid for the private show, a part of me hoped it was you even when I knew chances were next to zero but I guess Leo must have been watching me when you were dancing on that floor because he chose you to entertain the birthday boy and I should thank him for that,” I say. I see her puff out and some sort of worry cross over her face. “What’s wrong?’ I ask.

“Just wondering how people are going to take it if they ever find out who I am and the kind of work I had to do in order to make a living.” She says, worry in her voice. “I don’t want my life to affect what you’ve spent years building Taylor.” She adds, her eyes scrutinizing me then dropping her eyes to where I’m rubbing on her hand.

“Hope?” I wait for her to look at me. “You are mine in all aspects, it doesn’t matter how long we’ve known each other or where you used to work or what your past forced you to do because the minute I said you’re mine I meant it. The faster you get that through that beautiful mind of yours, the better for all of us.” I say. “When that time comes where everyone will want to be in our business, I’ll be the one to handle that and not you. Right now, you have better things to think about.”

“Like Kelly?” She asks and I nod my head smiling. My woman knows how to swing from one mood to another in a nanosecond.

“Yes, like Kelly.” I see a smile spreading across her face and I know we’re on the same page though I know the worry of what people will think about her is hanging somewhere in the air. I made the decision when I said she’s mine and I meant it. Whatever comes will come but she can bet that I’ll fight it with her, she’ll never be alone, and I’ll never let her be alone for as long as she will have me.

Our breakfast arrives shortly and we dig in to it having small talks here and there before asking for the bill. I pay for the bill and take her hand in mine as I walk us out of the coffee shop and straight to my car where I open the passenger door for her and help her in, securing the seatbelt for her as I close the door. I round to the driver’s side and get in, buckling up and starting the car after closing my door.

The drive to the hospital takes us ten minutes and I turn to look at my woman who has been quiet throughout the drive and I get concerned since I don’t know what’s eating her up this time.

“Hey” I say, linking our fingers together and she looks at where our hands are linked before looking up to meet my gaze.

“I hate hospitals.” She says. I want to ask why but I guess I know the answer to that. With her sick mother, I believe she has seen more of the inside walls. “Let’s get this over with so you can tell me where you’re taking me after” she adds unbuckling her seatbelt.

“Trust me, you’ll like it.” With that said, we both get out of the car, lock it and walk hand in hand towards the hospital's reception area.

“Hi” Hope says leaning on the reception counter. I didn’t know she was this short when it comes to my six-two, maybe she’s a five-five or six if I’m not wrong but whatever her height, she’s the perfect woman for me. Perfect height for me. Everything about her is perfect.

“Hi,” the woman behind the desk responds smiling at us. “How can I help you?” she asks.

“Well, we’re here to see Dr. Lee.” Hope says.

The woman at the reception types something on her computer taking all the information she needs from Hope as I wait, taking in my woman and I might have drifted to another world because I miss out on whatever she’s busy telling me.

“Back to earth, Taylor.” She snaps at me and I shake my head. “Did you even hear what I said?” she asks and I shake my head and I see the annoyance on her face and I almost laugh when she rolls her eyes.

I swear to God this woman will be the end of me.

“Please forgive me” I grin trying to win he
r over.

“You’re lucky you have a beautiful smile, otherwise...” She trails her eyes over my body before smirking at me then linking our fingers and leads us to the direction I assume the woman at the reception gave her.

“Are you sure you want me in there?” I ask when we come to a closed door with her doctor’s name on it. Everything with Hope is all new to me. I’ve never been with a woman who saw it fit to have me take her to her doctor’s appointment and I don’t mean any other doctor; I mean a gynecologist and to have Hope have me accompany her means a lot to me.

“Yes. I’m sure I want you in there with Me,” she smirks. “Remember that word you’ve been throwing at me all the time?” she looks at me questioningly. I’ve been throwing a lot of words at her not sure which one she means.

So, I raise my brow and ask “Which word?”

“MINE.” I think I’m soaring somewhere in the air not sure how I got here.

“It’s true you’re mine” I say leaning in to kiss her, driving the point home that she better never forget who she belongs to. “And I hope one day I can be yours too” I say once I break the kiss.

“Taylor…” she starts to say and I place a finger on her lips.

“I’m not going to push you to say something that you’re not ready for even if everything in me wants to hear that one word. I want you to think about it because to me, you’re it for me. I’m not with you to pass time and take your body for granted baby. I’m with you for the long haul. So, take your time and think about it.” I say knocking on the closed door and I open it when I hear a response from the other side. I usher her in where we’re met by an Asian woman who seems to be in her late forties.

The doctor’s appointment goes well as she asks Hope question after question before coming up with a safe contraceptive for her. She settles for the pills and I listen in when she tells her she can stop them at any time if she ever decides to have children one day. Does she want to have kids one day? I’ve seen her with Michael and Kelly and just the picture of her with my kids excites me and my mind drifts to a faraway land where it’s only us in the future.
