The Naked Truth About Love
Page 9
It worked. Seconds later Teddy lost all control. Prehistoric grunts and groans escaped his mouth as hot thick, sticky cum coated the inside of Prissy’s swollen vaginal walls. Caught in the throes of passion and deception Teddy neglected to use a condom. Continuing to squirt every drop of his love juices inside her he encircled her waist and kissed the back of her neck. Collapsing briefly on top of her Miss Priss struggled to be free of his dead weight.
Disgusted and pissed she snapped. “Oh my God! Did you just come inside of me? Get off of me! I can’t believe that you skeeted in me raw. The sex was good but I don’t want to die for it! Seriously Chris, what the fuck were you thinking?”
Finally recovering Teddy rolled off her and onto his back. “My name is not Chris and please stop calling me that shit!” He exhaled sharply in a hoarse raspy voice.
“What the fuck?” Prissy asked as she bolted out of the bed in horror. Like a flash she ran to turn on the light. Her heart pounded and threatened to explode in her chest as she saw the half naked Teddy lying in the bed.
She swallowed hard as dread and reality assaulted her senses. “Ah Fuck!” She groaned softly!
Teddy covered his face to shield it from the bright overhead lights. Choosing to ignore her assessment of the situation he simply laid there in silence.
Panic crept quickly up her spine as the well being of Chris crossed her mind. “Oh my God! Bear where is Chris?”
Hesitating Teddy let out a sinister bark of laughter, “He’s not here that’s for sure.”
“Bear this shit ain’t funny! Is Chris okay? Did you hurt him? Please tell me that he’s okay.”
Teddy continued to lie in the bed with his face covered. “He’s fine. Nobody did anything to that nigga, although I should have fucked his ass up!”
It was quite obvious that Teddy was quite pissed. Yet, Priss felt the need to offer and explanation. “Bear I can explain.”
“No you can’t so please don’t even try.” He calmly replied.
“It’s not what it looks like. Chris and I…”
“Priss, I said that I didn’t want to hear it. It’s over just forget it.” He quickly cut her off in an indifferent tone.
“So now what? Are we finally through?” She asked as her voice trembled with uncertainty. Teddy did not respond. “Huh Bear? Are we done?”
Thinking about everything that transpired to bring them to this particular crossroads in their relationship Teddy reached a difficult decision. “You felt the need to fuck my frat brother, behind my back. So, yeah I guess we are.”
Teddy lay there in silence as a sobbing Miss Priss ran to the living room, slipped on her dress and left.
Uncovering his face only to wipe the tears of regret from his eyes Teddy silently sobbed.
Chapter 12
Love is Not Conceited
Allowing Miss Priss to just walk out of that hotel room and his life was the hardest thing Teddy ever had to do, he missed her so much it hurt. In retrospect not a day went by that he didn’t wish that he had handled it differently. Hell he even wished that Chris had just fucked her without confiding in him. Ignorance is bliss and at least they would still be together.
Unfortunately that was not his lot. With no woman to tame him and hold him down Teddy showed his natural black ass. Even the daily, grueling football practices did not keep him from bedding an assortment of different women every damn night. Teddy was distraught and hurt and he just needed to feel something, anything except pain.
A week had passed since his break up with Priss. It was Saturday night and the boys were on the prowl at the Songbird Bar and Grill, a popular karaoke bar. Teddy was a classical music major at FDC and possessed a deep sultry voice similar to the late David Ruffin of the Temptations. A regular on the Songbird stage he made his selection from the song menu.
“So what are you going to sing this time Super Star?” Chris teased.
“You are such a fuckin hater lately!” Teddy laughed.
“Believe me, I’m not jealous. I’m gifted in a lot of things, but singing is just not one of them.” Chris laughed. “God didn’t create a man finer than me, but I can’t carry a tune in a borrowed bucket.”
“Nigga it’s karaoke, you don’t really have to be able to sing. I on the other hand don’t need a bucket, because I can sing. I can’t ‘sang’ like Teddy, but I can hold a note.” Dorian admitted.
“Who the hell can? This nigga right here can sang! If he doesn’t get drafted to the NFL I’m willing to bet he has a recording contract in his future.” Paul chimed in.
“If… If my ass! You can forget that nonsense because I’m getting drafted. You can believe that shit!” Teddy declared. “I’m NFL bound and I’m going to have a recording career!”
“Yeah and hopefully some modesty training seminars are in your immediate future as well! Hell I’ll even pay for those.” Chris added. They all laughed.
“Whatever… I’m not bragging and I don’t normally boast. I’m just stating facts.” Teddy arrogantly responded.
“It must be a bitch being that damn awesome!” Paul teased.
“I know your bitch ass ain’t fuckin talking! Your ass can sing and if memory serves me correctly you’re being scouted by the damn Cowboys.”
“Yeah I guess I am pretty awesome!” Paul grinned as he patted himself on the back. “Never mind… carry on with your awesomeness!”
“Well, when you two awesome ones suffer neck strain from sucking your own dicks just remember that I’m a damn awesome doctor.” Christian joked.
“That’s pretty funny and when all of you awesome dudes in your awesomeness get caught up in those not so awesome paternity suits then you can call me, your attorney. Dorian laughed. “Did I mention that I’m going to be a truly awesome attorney?
“Well, to four awesome bruthas!” Teddy held up his bottle of beer in salute.
“With big dicks!” Dorian added.
“Amen to that!” Christian approved.
“Here, here!” Paul cosigned as they all clinked bottles.
As they finished the toast Teddy spotted Miss Priss walk in with a very handsome Hispanic guy. Spotting the quartet she nonchalantly waved hello and continued to follow the hostess. She led them to a secluded table in the back of the restaurant.
“What the fuck?” Teddy mumbled as he caught sight of her. “Oh hell no! Fuck that!” He murmured as he got up to go talk to her.
Casually blocking his path with his leg Chris muttered beneath his breath, “Sit down and leave her alone.”
Rolling his eyes at Chris, Teddy reluctantly sat back down. “Paul, who’s that asshole with Priss?
Paul who was oblivious to the whole thing looked around to locate Priss. “Oh that’s her new friend Diego or something like that. I don’t know why?”
“Why? How long has she been dating Ricky Martin?” Teddy asked irritated as he stared the couple down.
“Diego… He’s just a guy from her class. What’s the problem?” Paul responded.
“Yeah what’s the problem Teddy?” Chris taunted.
“Are you alright with her dating this fool? You can’t possibly trust him with her? Go over there and run his ass off or I will.” Teddy ignored Chris and continued to plead with Paul to do something.
“Bear, I met him. He’s cool. They’re just getting to know each other. Leave them alone. She seems happy.”
“Happy or not I’m going over there to send Diablo’s ass home.” Teddy announced although Chris still had him blocked in. “Move your damn leg Chris so I can get out!”
“Diego! His damn name is Diego.” Dorian declared.
“What? I don’t give a fuck what his name is! He’s got to go!”
“Leave him alone. Priss is obviously enjoying herself.” Chris insisted.
“I don’t give a fuck!” Teddy insisted. “So move so I can get pass.”
“Chris is right. It’s time for us to let her date whoever she wants to date. Besides I’m exhausted trying to keep niggas away from
Prissy!”
“I bet you are. Prissy is fine as a mutha! If I wasn’t so busy with football and school I’d…” Dorian interjected.
“You get your ass beat! That’s what would happen.” Teddy quickly cut him off. “Paul do something!”
Christian could tell Teddy was frustrated and about to lose it. “Come outside with me for a second. I need to talk to you about something.”
“Alright… Sure.” Teddy agreed, but the moment Chris moved his leg Teddy headed to Miss Priss’ table. Christian hesitated before following him.
“Ah shit here we go!” Dorian groaned as he got up to follow Teddy and Christian over to Miss Priss’ table.
Paul looked in their general direction and chose to stay out of it for obvious reasons. He was enjoying spending his weekends between EJ’s beautiful legs. He wasn’t about to screw that up messing with Teddy and his bullshit.
“You’re not going to intervene?” Dorian asked a little surprise.
“Absolutely not, well unless they start fighting. I ain’t fuckin with Priss and Teddy tonight!”
“Well I guess I’d better go and help Chris be the voice of reason.” Dorian sighed.
“Yeah! Good luck with that bullshit!
Pissed to the nth power Teddy scrolled up to Miss Priss’ table, pulled up a chair and set down. “What’s up Miss Lady? You look beautiful tonight. So how’ve you been?”
Priss covered her mouth and tried not to giggle as the brass, jealous Teddy totally ignored her date. “I’m fine.”
“You have no argument there.” Teddy molested Miss Priss with his eyes as he continued to ignore Diego.
“Parisa do you know him?” Diego asked a little confused by Teddy’s arrogance and rudeness.
“Yes, this is my brother’s roommate.” Priss answered cutting Teddy with the precision of a samurai. A devious grin begin to spread across Teddy’s face and Miss Priss knew that it was about to be on.
“Hi I’m Diego and you are...” He asked as he extended a hand of friendship.
“I know who you are and I am pissed!” Teddy remarked never once taking his eyes off Priss. “Was I your brother’s roommate last Saturday night? Huh Priss?” He challenged.
Miss Priss’ eyes narrow as she shot Teddy a shut the fuck up look. Teddy raised his eyebrow in defiance as he waited for an answer. Officially all in and ready to battle Miss Priss declared, “No actually you were Chris last Saturday.”
Fire flowed through Teddy’s veins as Priss’ words hit home. “Oh really? So is that the game you want to play?”
“Bear I don’t want to play a game. You came to my table interrupting my date with your bullshit! So exactly who is playing games? You are the damn reigning king of games! Why the hell would I try to play games with you?” Priss snorted.
“It’s okay Parisa. I have this. What’s up Chris? I’m Diego.” Prissy’s date offered Teddy a handshake.
“My name is not Chris and don’t call me that shit again, Dorito.” Teddy casually responded as he continued to scan Priss’ for a weak spot that he could capitalize on. “Priss we need to talk.”
“You need to leave.” Miss Priss snapped.
“I’m confused, if he’s not Chris then who is Chris?” Diego asked totally baffled.
“Let’s go Teddy!” Christian announced as his eyes met Miss Prissy’s and begged her forgiveness for their encounter. She discreetly nodded that it was okay.
“I’m not going anywhere without Priss!” Teddy declared still staring Prissy down.
“And I’m not going anywhere with you. I’m on a date. Why can’t you just leave me alone and go back over there with your little hoe.” Priss snapped.
Teddy looked towards his table to discover that Zoey was sitting there with Paul. “Zoey’s not my girl.”
“Well that’s not what your Facebook page said.”
“What Facebook page? I don’t even have a damn Facebook page!”
“You do now and it states that you and Zoey Chandler are in a relationship!” Prissy countered.
“Priss, I don’t give a fuck what Facebook has to say! That is not my girl and you know it!”
“And neither am I and you know it! So go away and leave me the fuck alone!” Priss declared.
Diego stood up and announced. “Ok Chris I think it’s time for you to go!”
Teddy immediately stood up and faced Diego. Towering over the five foot nine inch medium frame of Diego like a giant redwood tree he snorted, “Bitch don’t make me knock your bitch ass out! I already told you that my fuckin name was not Chris. Call me Chris again and I’ll beat your ass like a second hand piñata. Buy a fuckin map and try to keep up.”
Priss sprung up and jumped in front of Diego. “Leave him alone Bear!”
Chris and Dorian immediately pulled the enraged Teddy away. Losing the battle he reluctantly allowed them to escort him outside. It was evident that Priss was determined to move on and beating Diego’s punk ass wasn’t going to change a damn thing.

Now while his frat brothers were outside trying to calm Teddy down Paul entertained Zoey. Teddy didn’t invite her to the Songbird, but Zoey knew that she’d find him there. Honestly, Teddy didn’t consider Zoey or anyone else, other than Miss Priss, to be his woman. Still, Zoey was convinced that he was her man.
Teddy saw Zoey on an average of two to three times a week. Sex with her was phenomenal. He craved her company and the comfort of her mouth. So in retrospect it was easy to see why she was confused. Zoey created that infamous Facebook page that had Prissy pissed the hell off. Not only did she create the page she had the audacity to post pictures of their Florida weekend for the world to see.
Determined to make Teddy her own she launched a preempted strike to eliminate her competition by declaring herself his queen. Granted she didn’t know that Teddy was involved with Prissy, so her intent was not to hurt Priss. Nonetheless that page and those pictures struck Miss Priss in the heart and did more damage than a large caliper bullet. Teddy’s counterfeit Facebook page, posted by Zoey, broke Prissy’s heart and shattered it like fine glass.
Paul had known Zoey for about as long as Teddy. He had no clue that Zoey was stalking Teddy when she came to sit at the table with him. Welcoming the company he offered her a seat and they engaged in small talk as the fiasco unfolded at Prissy’s table.
Now what Paul didn’t realize is that EJ was also at the Songbird that night. She actually came to talk to him about the pregnancy. Somehow she had mustered enough courage to finally let him know that he was going to be a father.
Imagine her surprise when she saw Paul alone at the table with another woman. Paul had sworn his fidelity to her yet here he was out with someone else. She was deeply wounded and frankly devastated. Getting sick to her stomach at the thought that he lied to her she ran out of the restaurant. Unable to identify the other woman as Zoey Chandler in the dark restaurant EJ left without confronting him, a mistake that she will regret for the rest of her life.

No sooner than Dorian and Chris pull the jealous Teddy out of the restaurant the Songbird’s hostess, Lonnie came out to find him.
“Teddy, where are you going? You’re up next!” She called as she ran behind them.
“I think you’re going to have to cancel him tonight, Lonnie. He’s in no condition to go onstage.” Christian advised.
Instantly a solution to his problem popped in Teddy’s head. “I’m coming!”
“Okay let’s go. You have less than five minutes before you’re up.” Lonnie responded.
Turning on his heels, Teddy followed Lonnie back into the karaoke bar. Changing his selection at the very last second Teddy and the house backup singers took the stage while Dorian and Chris returned to their table.
Teddy brought the house down from the very first note as he sang, Cause I Love You, by Lenny Williams. Staring Miss Priss down in the back of the room he sang the hell out of that song.
“Priss, you know… I… love you no m
atter what you do and I hope you understand me, every word I say is true… cause I love you. Baby, I'm thinking of you, trying to be more of a man for you. And I don't have much riches, but we gonna see it through… cause I love you. oh… oh… oh… oh… oh… oh… oh… oh… oh! Some men need lots of women for their passions to feel. But I want only you, girl… If it's in, if it's in, if it's in God's will… cause I… cause I… L-o-v-e you! I, I, I love you, baby with all my heart and soul, oh… oh… oh… oh… oh… oh… oh… oh… oh… oh… oh… oh!
The Songbird backup singers softly chimed in, “Priss I love you… Priss I need you… Priss I want you… Priss I need you.
Then Teddy crooned. “Oh, oh, oh, your love makes me grow stronger. It keeps going on. Oh, baby, I'm glad I found you. I just love… to be around you, oh, baby. You've been so good to me, oh, baby, oh… oh… oh… oh… oh… oh… oh… oh… oh!”
The women spectators completely lost their minds and flooded to the foot of the stage hanging on to every note that came out of Teddy’s mouth. Screaming, crying and shaking they swooned as Teddy’s melodious voice continued to work them into frenzy.
Teddy continued, to sing to each and every one of them, convincing them that he was singing to them. In reality he was sending an impassioned plea of mercy to Miss Priss and she knew it. Wiping tears she watched him rip his beating heart out his chest and offer it to her. Yet she was too damaged to even consider trusting him with hers another second.
“You know, one time things got so bad until I had to go to one of my friends and talk to him. And I told him, I said, ‘You know I'm having problems with the woman that I love. It seems that I call her on the phone and I, I just can't get her to answer. And then I went to her house and I saw a car parked in the driveway. I knocked on the door, but still my knocks went unanswered.
And then I went home and I, I watched television until television went off. And then I played my records until I just didn't want to hear them anymore and finally I went to bed. But I found myself waking up a few hours later and the tears were running down my face’ And my friend told me… He said, ‘Teddy, you just ought to forget about her.’ But I told my friend, I said, ‘You know, maybe you've never been in love like I've been in love. And maybe you've never felt the things that I've felt.’ But this is what I told my friend, I said, ‘You know, sometimes you get lonely…
