Lady Guardians: Hampton Roads Isis

"I think we can wipe the slate clean until the next time you want to show your male chauvinist side."
"Seriously I am not like that at all. It seems every time I am in your presence I don't know what to say. "
"Wonder what the reason behind that is."
Tristan dried his hair with the towel and wrapped it around his neck. He gently placed his hand on her elbow to lead her in the direction away from her group, which was close to their bikes sitting in the sun. "Did you ever think that you make me nervous?"
"Do you use that line on all the females?" Billi asked as she sat on her pink and black Suzuki Hayabusa she called Cotton Candy. She noticed Tristan didn't get too close to her bike while she sat.
"No, I don't say that to all the females. I am making a true statement. Do you know how beautiful you are? I wanted to ask you out but I know I messed up bad when we first met."
Before she could respond to Tristan, a few male bikers from Scorpion MC walked up to where they were talking. Billi had seen them once in awhile in passing riding but never met them in person as of yet. They wore black and gold with scorpions on the back of their vests.
"Look who we have here fellas if it isn't Tommy Knocker's big brother. How are you holding up man?" The biker with the bald held spoke to Tristan.
"I'm good," Tristan said through clenched teeth. Billi noticed the strange interaction between the two men. She knew he detested motorcycle clubs but had no clue the reason for it. But it didn't take a genius to figure out Tristan had a strong animosity towards this guy.
"Man is there anything you need from us? You know your brother was part of our family."
"My brother was never part of your family," Tristan said as he moved forward to be face to face with the other male. The rest of the bikers moved forward to stand by what seemed to be the president. Billi didn't think Tristan knew exactly what he was about to get himself into so she eased off of her bike to stand in between the two of them. Facing Tristan, she spoke, "Do you still want to take me out, then let's go out next week."
Tristan removed his hard stare from the biker to look at Billi with a softer look. "What?"
"You're taking me out next week." She placed her hand on his chest and felt how fast his heart was beating. Whatever the relationship was between the group it really had him worked up.
"We will see you again Doc." The bald-headed guy pointed in Tristan's direction before leaving. Billi turned around to watch them walk away and noticed her girls were looking in her direction. She gave them a sign that she was good and they didn't need to come over. Lotus Flower was never too far from her in case she needed her as she was supposed to be.
"Tristan do you want to tell me what that was all about?"
"Not really it wasn't important. Just some people my brother knew."
"Is your brother here with you today?"
"Maybe in spirit, he would never miss out on something like this."
"I am sorry, I didn't mean to pry."
"Don't be. Back to you saying we were going out next week."
“Well, I had to distract you some type of way before there was any type of trouble. We do try to keep these functions as civilized as possible.”
“There wasn’t going to be any problems. As long as they keep their distance from me, everything will remain copacetic.” There was so much hatred and animosity in his voice that she decided to not even press the issue further. Besides from the little time she’d known him she never saw this side of him. “Now back to us going on a date. Where would you like to go?”
“Since they opened Waterside back up we can go there and try out one of their new restaurants. I’ve been meaning to go down there and check it out.”
“That sounds like a good plan. You pick the restaurant, the day, and the time. I will pick you up. I am glad you decided to go out with me.”
“How could I not at least give you a chance? You did let me dunk you a couple of times. I just hope you don’t revert back to your old ways of inserting your foot in your mouth.”
“Those days are over with I promise. I don’t want to jeopardize my chance of getting to know you better.”
“Only time will tell. I need to get back to my girls so we can begin breaking things down so we can leave.”
“Do you need any help?”
“No we have it plus we have Malcolm to help us.” Billi nodded in Malcolm’s direction who had dumped the water out of the dunk tank. “Thank you for offering.”
“Since I am not needed then I will go and look for my co-worker. You said my Jeep will be ready next week correct?”
“Tuesday you should be able to pick it up late morning.”
Tristan took Billi’s hand in his and placed a soft kiss on the inside of her wrist which caused Billi’s stomach to flutter. It had been awhile that she had any physical interaction with a male and she fought back her hormones. “Until Tuesday, you enjoy the rest of your weekend,” Tristan said as he left a stunned Billi who was still regaining her composure from the soft kiss. She reached out and rubbed the place his lips just were.
Damn, girl. Get a grip. Just a few days ago you couldn’t stand him, and now he places a kiss on you, and you don’t know how to act. After regaining her composure, she walked back over to the Lady Guardians who all were looking at her with smirks on their faces.
“What are you all smirking about?”
“Did the mighty Isis just get defeated by the doctor?” Ghost joked.
“Ghost, be quiet. No one defeated me,” Billi stated as she started gathering chairs to fold them up so they could be placed on the back of the truck.
“Well by the looks of it, you got shook from that lil love peck you received,” Delicious spoke up this time.
“Y’all worried about the wrong thing. We need to pack up, so we all can get ready for TG’s (Thunderguards) after party tonight. Everyone is to meet up at the clubhouse around nine p.m so we can ride out. Make sure to wear black bottoms and pink tops.”
Everyone replied in unison that they understood the plan for the night. After packing up everything, they all mounted up to ride out to prepare for the festivities for the night. It was always fun to have an eventful day with the community, raise money for a cause close to their heart, and party with their extended family without any issues.

The weekend was a success for the Lady Guardians. Between the baked goods and the dunking tank, they made three hundred dollars, which they divided in three parts to go towards Breast Cancer Society, Domestic Violence, and into their funds. Billi was proud of her club. The group of ladies were determined to make their club one that was well respected with their constant giving back to the community. It was important to them to show that they belonged on their set. So far there hadn't been any incidents that tainted their name and Billi constantly made sure of that. She noticed in the bike world that some women weren't respected because of the way they carried themselves. Some women were known as the property of a biker or even sometimes called a groupie because they were passed around the club. As the President of the Lady Guardians of Hampton Roads, she strived to make sure her ladies didn't fall into that category. If one of the members happened to date a member of a male MC, she made sure they knew what they were getting into and not to bring any drama to their club.
Billi worked all day Monday to make sure that Tristan's Jeep would be ready for him that Tuesday. She heard from him once on Sunday when he sent her a quick text informing her that he enjoyed his time with her at Unity Day. The little time they spent together wasn't bad except for the run in he had with the Scorpions. That encounter was interesting to say the least and maybe one day she would hear the story behind the animosity. Being new to the club world, she didn't know much about the Scorpion MC, but she heard stories of them being a ruthless group. For Tristan's sake, she hoped he didn't tangle up with them.
"Hey Isis, help me put my hood back on." Ghost said in her direction. Billi walked over to the Mustang to help Gh
ost to place her hood back on.
"You got everything straight?"
"Yea. I think Nasty Grind is ready for Saturday. If not I know, I have my trusty mechanic to help me out at the track. Now enough about my car, spill the tea on the good doctor."
Billi scrunched up her face. "Nothing is up with him."
"That is what your mouth says but I saw, we all saw how cozy you too were with one another. So….are you giving him a chance?"
"If you feel you need to know he is supposed to be taking me out this week. We are going to Waterside for dinner."
Ghost started doing the Nae Nae. "Ayy, about time you went out on a date. I thought we needed to find you a couple of cats."
Billi threw a shop towel at Ghost's head. "I don't need any cats. Y'all need to stop that mess. I just haven't had any interest in dating someone. Not from the lack of interest from people."
"True is Monsta still trying to take you out?" Monsta was an SGT at Arms for the Ruff Ryders MC out of Hampton Roads who took an interest in Billi a few months back when they attended the first-anniversary party for Lady X.
"Girl yes and you know I am not trying to date anyone from the club world. Can you imagine how messy it may become if we didn't work? I don't need that drama, and neither do we. Some men don't take rejection very well."
"I always wondered why they called him Monsta." Ghost wiggled her eyebrows at Billi.
"Lawd knows why and I won't be finding out."
"Where do you see things going with the doc?"
"To be honest, I have no clue. More than likely it won't go far because Tristan isn't really into the bike world. You know how hard it is for non-bike people to understand anything about our world. But I do think that his brother was in the Scorpions, and there is some bad blood between them."
"Yes, there is a lot of bad blood between us, more than you know." Both Billi and Ghost turned to see Tristan standing by his Jeep in the front of the shop. "Good afternoon ladies." He smiled at the both of them.
"Hey Tristan, I wasn't expecting you so soon."
"I can see. Is she done?" He asked as he rubbed the side of the Jeep.
"Yep, she sure is the keys are inside. I took it out for a test drive about an hour ago, and all seems well. If you have any more issues, let me know."
"I appreciate it and here is the money I owe you." He handed her a handful of bills. Billi took them and handed them to Ghost to put in the register before walking toward Tristan.
"I am sorry you walked in on our conversation just a few minutes ago."
"No worries. I take it I was on your mind since you were discussing me."
"I don't know if you were on my mind, but Ghost did bring up your name."
"Speaking of names why do you call her Ghost?"
"It's her club name we gave her. She is one of the fastest female drag racers around here hence why she is called Ghost."
"And what is your club name?"
"I am called Isis. She was the most powerful Egyptian goddess."
"I see why you are named that." Billi smiled at him. “Are you ready for our date?"
"You don't mean tonight do you?"
"No, I need to go to work tonight. Friday is better for me, what about you?"
"Yes, that is a whole lot better. I can text you my address later on today."
"Sounds good I have to head out now."
"Alright talk to you later." Tristan hopped into the Jeep and exited the garage. Billi felt disappointed because she thought she would at least receive another kiss. Maybe he was upset about walking in on their conversation, but they weren't saying anything bad about him. She wondered how much did he hear. The mystery of his history with the Scorpions was nagging at her. If she and Tristan became an item, she didn't need any issues with any other MC because of who she was dating. Maybe he will explain to her in due time.
Glad that he didn't want to go out, Billi had to prepare for the meeting she called for tonight which usually was held on a Wednesday night. Some concerns were brought to her attention that needed to be addressed immediately. Some of her prospects were getting above themselves, and that was never good. Hopefully, the issues could be resolved but if not they would be short some members after tonight.
Later on that night, the Lady Guardians assembled at the clubhouse for the called meeting. The officers sat at the head table while the other members sat on chairs and couches around the club. The meeting was called to order by Lotus Flower who stood to the right of Isis during the meeting. First order of business was the minutes from the last, which were read by Ghost. Baby Doll then proceeded to inform everyone about the total they made at Unity Day, which was divided amongst the two charities, Breast Cancer Society and Domestic Violence, and into their funds. Delicious was up next to inform every one of the upcoming events of other clubs. It was then time for Isis to speak.
"Good evening ladies, thank you for coming to this emergency meeting. Some concerns that have been brought to my attention that needed to be addressed immediately. As you all know, we are new to the club scene and still are trying to gain our respect around this area. With that being said, there is a way that we carry ourselves as well. We definitely don't disrespect other clubs let alone our own. It has been brought to my attention some of you feel that I am a weak leader. Also, some of you feel like you are wasting your time. I have also been told that what we discuss at club meetings has been talked about outside of the club. All of these are a no-no. If you have a problem being a part of this movement, then the Lady Guardians no longer need you. It is bad enough we have to earn respect from the male MCs but not to receive it in your own house is a slap in the face. Prospect Brown and Johnson you two have violated club rules and are no longer members of Lady Guardians. A word of advice, you two also may want to stop sleeping your way through all the MC clubs . You can hand your vests over to Lotus Flower."
Lotus moved to retrieve the vests that the two ex-members had removed. Brown began to walk toward Isis while pointing her finger in her direction. "You sit here and want to throw shade at us, but all the female clubs are talking behind your back. They say that Lady Guardians will be disbanded before the year is up. They think you are a joke and have no clue what you are doing. As far as I am concerned, you did us a favor kicking us out. I should punch you right in your face bitch." She said as she lunged at Isis. Before she could land a punch Lotus blocked it, kicked her in the thigh, and superman punched her. By then Baby Doll was standing beside Lotus waiting for Johnson to make a move. Johnson bent down to assist Brown to her feet.
"Let me tell you something. There isn't anything weak about me and don't think I needed Lotus to protect me from you. We are a family, and we protect our own. I wish you luck in trying to join Lady X when they find out you are sleeping with the president's old man." Lotus and Baby Doll escorted the two women out of the clubhouse. After they were taken out, the club erupted into numerous conversations. Isis waited until they subsided before she spoke again.
"Ladies we aren't going anywhere. True we are the new chicks on the block but we have gained respect from the Thunderguards and that is a huge task in itself. We continue to move the way we have. Does anyone have any questions or concerns?" She waited for a few minutes to see if anyone did before continuing. "Also, this weekend Ghost is racing. I expect everyone there to show their support. We will leave from my shop around six am to head to the track in Delmarva. I have reached out to my friend Mz. Juicee who used to be the President of NLR Tru Divaz. Her cousin Hardhead from Hardheads BBQ and Southern Soul food will be there to supply food, which he agreed to donate money to the Breast Cancer Society for us. If there isn’t anything else, the meeting is adjourned. I'll see you all on Saturday."
Billi stayed around for a while to speak to some of the vested members and the prospects before heading out. She had a lot to think about and what better way than on Cotton Candy. It had been a while since they both stretched their legs. She straddled the bike, turned her on, and hit the throttle.
Placing her airbrushed helmet on, Billi kicked her kickstand up and placed the bike in gear. All she wanted right now was the wind in her face. Nothing else mattered.

Friday night came quicker than Billi wanted. She was excited about what the night had in store for her, but she was late getting out of the shop this afternoon. On top of the fact, she had procrastinated on finding something to wear for dinner. Tristan contacted her about fifteen minutes ago informing her he would be on his way soon. Billi went through five outfits before she found the one that made the cut. She decided on a long halter sundress with a matching shawl to drape over if it became cool. She wore a pair of strappy open toe heels. As she picked up her matching purse, her doorbell rang. Taking one last glance in her floor length mirror, Billi walked down the hallway to her front door. Billi took a deep breath before she opened the door for Tristan. He stood in the doorway with a pair of black slacks, loafers, and light blue button-down shirt.
Tristan smiled at her after he glanced over her appearance. "Billi you look very nice this evening."
She returned his smile. "Thank you. You don't look too bad yourself Mr. Ramsey."
"Are you ready to go?"
She nodded her head as she stepped outside to lock her door before following him to his car. Billi noticed that he didn't have the Jeep, but a Jaguar parked on the side of the street. "Where is your Jeep?"
As he opened her door, he responded. "She's at home. I wanted to make sure you were riding in style. Besides Stella is my vehicle for driving to work."
"Stella?" Tristan closed her door as he walked around to the driver side to slide inside the sleek automobile. "Yea Stella, my brother named her. She was my vehicle, but I gave her to him when he was old enough to drive." Tristan smiled after speaking about his brother. "Don't you approve?'
"Of course I do, just didn't know you had another vehicle. Goes to show there is a lot I don't know about you. "
