  Chapter 1

“Amir, we are going to be late,” Soraya whispered against his mouth. He groaned in response and pressed a small kiss on her neck. Soraya sighed with pleasure and closed her eyes. He trailed kisses from her neck down to her chest. He caressed her back as his hands continued their languid caress around her hips before he cupped her bottom. He loved how firm it was. He slipped his hand under her dress and caressed her thighs.

“Okay… we... really…” Soraya was struggling to string a sentence together. Pushing him away, she jumped up from the sofa and cleared her throat. She blinked a few times before she said anything. Amir was still sitting on the sofa looking at her with so much desire in his eyes. “We have to go,” Soraya finally managed to say.

“Do we?” Amir asked as he got up from the sofa and walked towards her.

“Yes,” she said and ran out of the room. Amir laughed. He was pleased he could affect her so much. Not long ago, it was difficult to get a simple smile out of her. He straightened his tie and slipped his suit jacket back on.

Moments later, Soraya re-entered the room. She had adjusted her makeup and managed to put herself back together. They had to be at Fiddah's charity fundraiser dinner party and were already running late. By the time they arrived, everyone was already seated inside. They joined Sara and Tariq at their table. Amir kissed Sara on both cheeks before he took Leylah in his arms. Her face lit up when Amir picked her up. He kissed her and she laughed in response.

“You guys are so late,” Sara pointed out.

“Blame him,” Soraya said. Amir raised an eyebrow at her. Sara laughed.

“She just threw you under the bus,” Sara said.

Malik joined them at the table. He greeted everyone before he pulled out his chair and sat down. He pinched Leylah's rosy cheeks. Turning his attention to Amir and Soraya, “Why so late?” he asked.

  “Traffic,” Amir said.

The waiters served the starters. Sara frowned and pushed her bowl of soup away. Tariq held her arm gently and asked her if she was okay. “Smells awful!” she complained. Tariq laughed softly and asked the waiter to remove both their bowls.

“And the pregnant journey begins once again,” Amir said as he smiled at Sara. He enjoyed teasing her over how soon she became pregnant after having Leylah. Seemed like her and Tariq could not take a break from each other. Sara rolled her eyes. Some moments were not so pretty about being pregnant. She was not looking forward to it at all. Then there was her supercharged sex drive. It was ridiculous how she was easily aroused when she was pregnant. That was Tariq's favourite part. He liked seeing her in that state and begging for attention.

“How are you coping so far?” Soraya asked Sara.

“Morning sickness is already screwing me over,” Sara complained. She sighed and reached for her glass and drank from it. Malik gave her a sympathetic look and rubbed her hand.

Halfway through dinner, Fiddah made a speech to thank all the donors. They had managed to raise a lot of money. She also informed them about future charity events. She delivered the speech with such poise and elegance. Everyone clapped their hands after her speech.

Music filled the room and people started dancing. Sara got up to make her third trip to the bathroom within the hour. Tariq rubbed her back before she left. He turned his attention to Amir who was still holding Leylah.

“I'll take her, you and Soraya go dance,” Tariq said to Amir. Amir looked at him wondering what he was up to. “Ley,” Tariq called out. She turned her head in his direction and smiled as she stretched out her arms toward him. He took her from Amir and kissed her. She smiled and touched his face.

“She's so adorable,” Soraya said as she smiled.

“We can have an adorable one too,” Amir said and winked at her. Malik and Soraya both frowned at him.

“Slow down,” Malik said. Tariq couldn't help but laugh. His brother's humour wasn't always warranted. Amir simply smiled and held out his hand to Soraya.

“May I have this dance?” he asked her. She did not respond right away. She looked up, as if she was thinking about it. Amir kissed her on the cheek. “She always makes me work for it,” he said before he helped her to her feet.

“Hey, what are you doing?” Soraya said.

“As if you don't want to dance.”

  “I don't.”

  “Lies.”

Snaking his arm around her waist, he guided her to the dance floor. Giving him a sour look, she placed one hand on his shoulder and the other in his palm. Their bodies moved to the rhythm. Amir was looking at her with such intensity. Being so close to her set him off. She was so beautiful and everything he wanted in a woman. He could not stay away from her.

Soraya avoided his gaze. She acted all tough but the truth was that she melted in his presence. She tried to hide it from him but she was not always successful.

“What are you thinking about?” Amir whispered in her ear.

  “Nothing,” Soraya replied.

  “You're thinking of me.”

“Absolutely not,” she lied. All she could ever think about these days was him.

Malik was watching his little sister dance with Amir. It had taken him time, but he was growing more accepting, but he was unsure where the relationship was going. Whenever he tried to ask Soraya about it, she told him to stay out of it. She was really into Amir and it surprised Malik. He never thought his sister would fall for someone so quickly.

“They look good together,” Tariq said interrupting Malik's thoughts. Malik took a sip of his drink before answering.

“I don't know what to think,” Malik replied.

“You still do not trust my brother.”

Malik paused for a moment. “I trust him with everything else.”

“But your sister,” Tariq finished for him.

“I want to; he has always been like a brother to me.”

“I understand. Give it time. Your sister really likes him but it is he, who likes her more.”

Malik silently admitted that Amir really did like Soraya. He had never seen him pay that much attention to a woman, care so much the way he did for Soraya, or look at her the way he did. It made Malik relax a little but then he would remember Amir's past. He worried that he might return to his old self or his past would come back to haunt him. He sighed and took another sip.

Sara returned with Fiddah on her arm. The two were laughing together. Tariq lifted his head up as his grandmother drew close. She kissed him on both cheeks and then picked up her great granddaughter. Sara sat down next to Tariq. He kissed her on the forehead and asked if she was well. She simply nodded in response.

“Amir is too cute,” Sara said.

“What do you mean?” Tariq asked.

“The way he looks at Soraya, he's really into her.”

“My grandsons,” Fiddah said and laughed. Tariq turned his attention to her.

“What about us?” Tariq asked her.

“You're a piece of work, both of you.”

Sara laughed and agreed. Fiddah looked down at Leylah who
was falling asleep. She kept head butting the air. Fiddah laughed and put her in a more comfortable position. She gently rocked her and rubbed her back.

  Chapter 2

Tariq kissed Fiddah goodbye as they left. He held Leylah in one arm and Sara's hand with the other. Sara waved at Soraya and Amir as they left. Malik had left before them. Amir took off his suit jacket and covered Soraya with it before they left the fundraiser.

The next morning Tariq woke up to find an empty bed. He got up and headed to the bathroom, Sara was sitting on the floor. He crouched down to bring his face level with hers. He held her chin with his hand.

“Hey, what's wrong?” Tariq asked. His voice was still hoarse.

  “I keep puking,” Sara complained.

“I'm sorry.” He wasn't sure what the correct response should be. He helped her to her feet and opened the medicine cabinet to take out her morning sickness pills. It didn't really cure it but it made it better. He switched on the shower and brushed his teeth whilst he waited for the water to heat up.

Tariq turned his attention to Sara. She stood there rubbing her belly. Her hair was unkempt and she was wearing only an oversized t-shirt. He couldn’t help but smile as he found her so adorable in the morning. He kissed her forehead and rubbed her shoulders.

“It will get better,” he whispered against her forehead. Sara groaned in response. It wasn’t going to get better until after the baby was born; Sara thought to herself. She closed her eyes as she felt Tariq's hands on her thighs.

“This is what got us in this situation, twice!” Sara joked. Tariq laughed softly. He pulled her t-shirt over her head and threw it on the floor. He dipped his head and started kissing her neck.

“Maybe there will be a third time too,” he replied. Sara did not respond as she didn’t hear a word he had said. Her senses were too distracted by Tariq's tongue on her collarbone. Her knees buckled in response to his touch between her thighs. He tugged her panties down and helped her step out of them. He stood there staring at her, taking in her nakedness.

“Must you do you this again?” Sara complained. The first time he made love to her, he had stared at her and she was feeling equally as awkward. Tariq did not answer her. He scooped her up and carried her into the shower. He kissed her so deeply that Sara had to hold onto his arms for support. Her legs were going to give way at any moment. Drawing her under the water fall, he reached for a cloth, which he wet adding some of her favourite scented soap. Turning her away from him, he began to wash her back. Sara sighed as he made quick work of her arms and back. As he squatted down behind her, he continued to soap and wash her legs. As his hands slowly moved up the inside of her legs, Sara pushed her legs farther apart as she leaned against the wall for support. The spray from the shower was making her skin tingle as Tariq continued to wash her. When he reached her most sensitive mound, he placed a kiss on her bottom as the washcloth rubbed along her slit. Sara moaned as Tariq’s deft fingers found her clit and began to rub gently. Slowly he heightened her arousal. Pausing, he removed his hand with a chuckle as he stood up. Sara made grumbling noises as he kissed her neck. Standing behind her, Sara could feel the hairs on his chest as they tickled her back. Reaching around to her front, he continued to wash her, paying particular attention to her breasts. He loved how full and sensitive that they had become and he simply couldn’t get enough of them. Sliding one hand around her neck, he pulled her tightly against him as he continued to wash her stomach. Sara panted harder as she felt Tariq’s arousal pressing against her.

Turning her around, he captured her lips in a kiss that sent Sara’s knees crashing against him. Reaching for her hips, he lifted her as she wrapped her legs around his waist. Entering her slowly, they both moaned as he rested his forehead against her’s. Sara’s hands found their way around his neck as she pulled him closer. In such a short time, this man had consumed her. She loved him more than she ever thought possible. When he was near, she felt feverish, as though she was on fire. Picking up a steady rhythm, Tariq began to pump in and out of her. Unable to resist, he dipped his head down and licked her nipples. As she gasped, she arched toward him, inviting him to go further. Her hands moved to the back of his head and she silently pleaded with him to continue. Chuckling at her forwardness, the vibration sent tingling sensations throughout Sara’s body as she curled her toes and pulled him tighter against her. With a growl, Tariq increased his speed as he brought both of them closer to orgasm. Finding her lips, he reached down to rub her clit as Sara clenched his cock with her folds. Rocking against him, he held her tight as her milking action brought him over the edge and they came together.

As Sara slowly came back to earth, Tariq gently washed her off before he finished with his shower. Helping her out of the tub, he lovingly towelled her off before he finished getting ready for work.

  * * * *

Later that afternoon, Tariq was sitting in his office reading over his files. He had to prepare for a board meeting later that week. One of the office secretaries, Lana, brought him a tray of refreshments. She slowly placed it on the table. Tariq did not look up from his notes.

“Was there something else?” Tariq asked when he realised that she was still standing there.

“Is there anything else I can get you?” she asked softly as she played with her fingers.

“I would have told you if there was.”

  “Okay.”

“And yet, you're still here,” Tariq still did not look up. Lana was still standing there playing with her fingers. She cleared her throat and headed for the door. Ever since she had gotten her job at Botros Oil, she had yearned for his attention but never got it. It still confused her as to how quickly Sara turned his head. After all, Lana had been there longer than Sara had.

“Good afternoon, Sheik Amir,” Lana greeted Amir as he walked into Tariq's office. He smiled and nodded at her in response. He walked to Tariq's desk and made himself comfortable.

  “She's into you,” Amir said.

  “Who?”

  “That woman who just left.”

Tariq grunted in response. He did not really care if she was or not. Amir shook his head. It was so typical of his brother not to care about these kinds of things. Amir had seen how the woman was looking at Tariq and it was not the first time. Of course, she wasn’t the only one. Many of the single women who worked at Botros Oil had their eyes on one or both of the brothers. Something that was always a source of constant amusement for Amir, but Tariq never paid attention. Work was work. How he and Sara ever got together, he still didn’t know. Sometimes, he didn’t think even Tariq knew.

Amir changed the subject and started talking about the meeting. Tariq responded to that. He could definitely talk about work but not the women of the office. He handed Amir some of the notes he made. Amir quickly read through them nodding as he read. He was always right.

“Sara will be giving a pitch at the meeting,” Amir said. Tariq raised his head slowly. He was hoping he had heard wrong.

“Who?” Tariq asked. Amir grinned at him. Tariq sat back in his chair and started laughing. Amir was not expecting that response.

“What is so amusing?” Amir asked.

“It will be interesting. She has never given a pitch before.”

“You do not think she will do well?”

  “She will.”

  “But?”

“She can be so awkward and overly enthusiastic. It will be interesting to see how the board members will react to her.” Tariq could almost picture it. Sara was much younger than all the board members. She was definitely different from them all.

Amir grunted. He sat back and processed the thought of Sara presenting an idea in front of everyone. The thought made him smile. Tariq himself had taken a while to warm up to her. Would the others be the same or would they accept her much faster?

Amir got up to leave the room. He paused halfway and turned around. “Did you hear that Fiddah wants to organise a family vacation of some sort?” he asked Tariq.
/>   “I do not know what you speak of,” Tariq replied. It was the first time he was hearing anything about it.

“She wants the whole family to go somewhere together.”

  “The desert, I presume.”

Amir raised his eyebrow and left the room. It made sense to both of them that she would take the whole family to the desert. Their grandfather, before he died, had founded a city inside the desert and helped to develop it. He named it Salma City. Salma was Fiddah's middle name. After he passed, Fiddah managed things in the city. It had a small population. The city gained money from growing vegetables and trading with other cities.

That night Fiddah called Tariq and Sara. She informed them that she was taking the whole family to Salma City. Sara and Soraya were the only ones who hadn't been there yet and she was excited to show them the city. Sara was intrigued and eager to go.
